the provincial governor’s front man Fraidoon Aniq said that heavy festivities are ongoing between the security forces and the Taliban over the past two days.
He said communication with Qush Tepa officials has been disconnected since Monday morning.
The front man did not reject or confirm the fall of the district to the Taliban.

Jawzjan governor Lotfullah Azizi said the situation in Qush Tepa is concerning.
"The enemy is fighting there for the past two days. Five members of the security forces were martyred. The connection with the district is cut off since 10 am on Monday morning," he said. "Based on the circumstances on the ground, it seems that the district has unfortunately fallen to the enemy.’
A front man for the Afghan Army’s 209 Shaheen Corps in northern Afghanistan, Haneef Rezaee, said festivities are ongoing in Qush Tepa district and added that 150 members of the Commando forces have been sent to the area.
