In the coming Urban Utopia you will not need cars. Public transportation will take you everywhere you need to go. Rural areas will be reserved for food and green energy production.

Take a ride on the San Diego Trolley sometime if you want to see how that public transportation will work. Spoiler alert: It ain't pretty and it ain't on time either.

The tree hugging idiots that haven't asked the basic question.
Where is all the ENERGY going to come from to charge and power the estimated 15+ Million E-vehicles?
A slightly deeper walk through of needed Energy
IF every one of the 15M fuel powered vehicles in CAL. was replaced today with an EV. The power needed by the E-vehicles on average is about 40 kWh a day to fully recharge a depleted battery.
That means around 15,000,000 EV's will need on Avg. 40 kWh per day. Which works out to about 600,000,000 kWh needed for EV's per day. Or about 219,000,000,000 kWh per year.
We haven't even discussed all the energy needed to mine the Rare Earth materials for the EV's and dispose of the HAZMAT generated waste & batteries.
SO Where is this power going to come from and not screw up their tree hugging Mother Earth environment somewhere?

The Internal Revenue Service is launching a full security review of its facilities nationwide, Commissioner Charles Rettig announced Tuesday
It comes after Congressional Republicans and right-wing voices online drummed up fears over the decade-long $80 billion cash infusion
The money comes from the Inflation Reduction Act, the $370 billion bill President Joe Biden's signed into law last week
'We see what's out there in terms of social media. Our workforce is concerned about their safety,' Rettig told The Washington Post
The agency will be conducting a risk assessment for each of the IRS's 600 faciliies - the first since the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing of a federal building
A number of top Republicans have expressed anti-IRS sentiment including Sens. Ted Cruz, Chuck Grassley, Rick Scott and Rep. Lauren Boebert

Remember Democrat President Wilson ended reliance on the booze tax as he wanted to outlaw booze so he started income tax and the IRS.

Selective IRS agents. They will only go after easy targets. No bad neighborhoods. No minority neighbor hoods. Privileged white people most likely targeted.

My view of the IRS will always be colored by the fact that IRS whistleblowers in the 80's had to be treated like Mafia informants BEFORE congress and have their faces hidden and voice changed. WHY would government whistleblowers require that level of security? Because the IRS is a criminal enterprise, like the demonrat party.
Usually small businesses. Send a letter saying they owe either a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars. The small businesses don't have enough funds to hire somebody so usually they just cough up the money.

Contact with a 'real person' will become impossible.
It already is impossible - have you tried calling the IRS recently? I might be able to get through if I call early enough in the day but other than that I'm forced to do everything (penalty waivers, etc.) by paper and wait multiple months for a resolution.

I used to think 25% was high but acceptable when considering influencers astroturfing, padding stats for corporate advertising, stuff like that. Then you have the pedos, stalkers, and weirdos with multiple accounts so they can do their chat room tricks. And of course advertisers and fake customer testimonials.
Then we find out that not only are they not policing bots, but actively courting intelligence agencies and organizations, organizations which want to create cover for unpopular/immoral actions. Like "We really do want you to be able to pay for your purchase in cash, but gosh golly gee look at all this concern with cash and Covid transmission."
"We don't really want to militarize and go after Joe the Landscaper, but gosh golly gee look at all these threats!"
Reminds me of a movie line:
"From where you're standing, you're a man. From where I'm standing, you're an ape. You're not even an ape. You're a media person. Media's like the weather, only it's man-made weather."

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., sent a letter to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Tuesday bringing forth the new whistleblower claims
FBI leadership told employees, 'you will not look at that Hunter Biden laptop' and that the FBI is "not going to change the outcome of the election again'
Johnson is demanding Horowitz look into the FBI's handling of the Hunter Biden laptop
Horowitz said the OIG would not investigate the FBI's handling of the laptop so as not to interfere with the DOJ's investigation into Hunter Biden's tax affairs

In October 2020, one month before the election, 'an avenue of derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed' by Timothy Thibault, a senior FBI agent at the bureau's Washington Field office, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who fielded the whistleblower complaints, claimed in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland.
I seem to remember another Washington Office 'quieting' of field agent(s) complaint immediately following 9/11. I believe it dealt with young Saudi fellows attending a Florida flight training school.

^^ I still enjoy the 'fact' that they found a pristine KSA passport lying on some NYC street shortly after the two crashes and raging infernos that were the twin towers.
I don't think they found it near Bldg. 7, though, IIRC.
Democrats continue to turn against Biden for his plan to cancel between $10,000-$20,000 in student debt each borrower making less than $125,000
New Hampshire Rep. Jared Golden called the move 'out of touch'
Comes as a new estimate claims American taxpayers will pay between $400 - $600 billion over the next decade to pay for the relief
Taxpayers who didn't take out student loans or have already paid off loans will not benefit from the program, but will still be helping pay for the relief
Republican lawmakers have heckled the move as unfair to working families
Some Democrats are hopping on board, and also claiming that the move doesn't do the work to address root causes that make college so expensive

It's been awhile since I was in college. I do recall many kids there who had no business in college. They'd party and sleep their freshman year away never to return. Most of these kids were there on loans of some sort. At some point these loans became non-performing loans. I suspect a lot of the debt Biden is cancelling is already delinquent anyway.

A) he doesn't know
Wasn't consulted. Seems like something right in the department's wheelhouse.
Lacks the ability to find this information, which means all budget estimates are bullshit.
and B) he doesn't care.
Nobody, nobody in that department had the brains to anticipate a cost question.
Purposefully ignorant, knowing the costs are likely triple the "high ball estimate" of $600 Billion.
I mean, didn't even pretend to coordinate with DoE, or anyone, not even a heads up on it. Just full dictate. That isn't very reassuring to Joe Blue Collar building Fords and just making it. [BREITBART] Florida flipped multiple major school boards from liberal to conservative Tuesday evening, continuing a nationwide trend of parents taking back control of public schools.
Florida school board elections have been a major political battleground this cycle, with big names like Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Rep. Byron Donalds (R) making endorsements and joining the campaign trail.
While primary elections occurred in Florida, New York, and Oklahoma Tuesday, Florida has general elections for school boards, meaning the winners will be the official members of the boards.
Many of the winning candidates have been endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC, an organization that has been instrumental in flipping school boards from liberal to conservative across the country.
"We saw massive election victories all throughout the state of Florida tonight," 1776 Project PAC founder Ryan Girdusky told Breitbart News Tuesday. "It shows the desire of parents and residents across the country for some normality in our education system, and that means pushing against transgender ideology, critical race theory, critical gender ideology, and equity which destroys merit in education."
"The 1776 Project PAC hopes to take these successes across the country," he said.

[FoxNews] Democratic Georgia gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams ...the pudgy, sour grapes lo-o-o-o-o-ser (Loser! Loser! Loser!) of the 2018 Georgia governor's race. Stacey nominated herself to be Joe Biden's vice president nominee, to widespread national apathy. She has a very keen eye for Racism in any form, to include the imaginary... received over $100,000 from a mysterious limited liability company that doesn't appear to have any online presence outside of her financial disclosure form and corporate records, a Fox News Digital review found.
Abrams' financial disclosure form, released in March, lists Dream Project Partners Inc. in multiple sections, including "statement of income" and "direct ownership interests in business entity." The Georgia Democrat listed herself as a "Board Member and Shareholder" and recorded in the income section that she received $50,000 in 2021 and $100,000 in 2022.
The financial form says she has no duties with Dream Project Partners Inc, and its "principal activity" description is also vague.
"Developing a culturally competent technology platform for entrepreneurs," the disclosure form says.

The duty statement should actually be, "obese, inept, minority progressive political hack and skilled voter fraud practitioner awaiting next electoral opportunity."
[Breitbart] House Republicans are asking President Joe Biden to disclose how much American taxpayer money is being used to pay non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to fly border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States.
In January, records from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) revealed that the Biden administration has been flying border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior on domestic commercial flights — allowing them to use arrest warrants and deportation orders as legitimate forms of identification.
From January 2021 to October 2021, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) flew nearly 45,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior. Since Biden took office, TSA officials say almost 1,000 of those arrivals have used arrest warrants and deportation notices as forms of ID to board domestic commercial flights.
Now, a group of House Republicans is demanding Biden’s DHS disclose the number of border crossers and illegal aliens flown into the U.S. interior, the cost to taxpayers, and how much money NGOs have made in facilitating the operation.
“Given the fact that American citizens are constantly being reminded that their IDs will soon need to be REAL ID compliant to board an airplane, it is extremely troubling that TSA is allowing illegal aliens to use nonsecure documents as IDs to board planes,” the Republicans write:
In January 2022, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) confirmed to members of Congress that between January 1, 2021, and October 31, 2021, TSA allowed approximately 45,000 illegal aliens to board planes without presenting identification (ID) included on TSA’s acceptable forms of ID list. Instead of providing acceptable forms of ID, these illegal aliens presented DHS-issued documents. [Emphasis added]
And last month, Acting Administrator David Pekoske testified that so far this calendar year TSA permitted “under 1,000” individuals to travel “with arrest warrants or deportation notices” instead of approved forms of ID. This number seems extremely low given the fact that DHS has released nearly 500,000 illegal aliens into the United States so far this year. [Emphasis added]
…
The fact that U.S. taxpayer dollars are being used either directly or indirectly to pay for illegal aliens to be transported throughout the country is a slap in the face to all law-abiding, tax-paying Americans. Instead of using taxpayer funds to transport illegal aliens, DHS should be using those funds to acquire additional detention space so that it may detain the illegal aliens as required by the law. [Emphasis added]
Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Michael Cloud (R-TX), Jody Hice (R-GA), Tom McClintock (R-CA), Bob Good (R-VA), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Glenn Grothman (R-WI), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Ron Estes (R-KS), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Scott Perry (R-PA), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Chip Roy (R-TX), Bill Posey (R-FL), Mary Miller (R-IL), Ken Buck (R-CO), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Ben Cline (R-VA), Debbie Lesko (R-AZ), Mo Brooks (R-AL), Andy Harris (R-MD), and Dan Bishop (R-NC) signed the letter.
In addition to flying border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities, House Republicans are warning that the Biden administration may start using Amtrak to facilitate his expansive catch and release operation.
“We are deeply concerned that Amtrak’s resources … will be used to transport these undocumented persons,” the lawmakers wrote.
From February 2021 to May 2022, more than a million border crossers and illegal aliens have been released into American communities by the Biden administration. Release figures for June and July have not yet been disclosed.
Today, most Americans believe there is “an invasion” at the southern border, as nearly 4.9 million are estimated to have arrived at the nation’s borders since Biden took office, with anywhere from 11 to 22 million illegal aliens already living in the U.S.

There are some good NGOs but there far too many that are doing evil things. Many are built to shield bad actors from transparency. With respect to governmental spending, transparency should be a given. Like everything else, this will take Judicial Watch or some other NGO to flip over this rock.

[Breitbart] The Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District in Texas voted Monday to ban the teaching of Critical Race Theory
...teaches that skin color is the most important characteristic of any person, which translates to separate but equal with a different bunch in charge. All whites and Asians are born racist and racism permeates every aspect of society, which should be dismantled and the remains turned over to the kind of dipshit who pushes this nonsense... and not promote, require, or encourage the usage of pronouns not aligned with a student’s actual sex.
The 4-3 vote also implemented a strict process for reviewing library books and requires that students use the restrooms and locker rooms that align with their actual sexes. Library materials must be posted online and readily available for review by parents and a strict oversight process has been put in place for choosing and approving books.
ISD policy further bans the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity until the fifth grade, boys from playing in girls’ sports, and New York Times
... which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... "1619 Project" disinformation.
Such a close vote was the result of a recent May school board election, in which tie-breaking board member Tammy Nakamura was elected on an anti-Critical Race Theory, pro-parents’ rights platform.

Not sure why that would still be a close vote anywhere else other than Berkeley. school boards seem to cascade their elections like the Senate so it may take at least two elections to return to sanity.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
