[Washington Examiner] Cindy McCain, the widow of late Sen. John McCain, blasted authorities who were "afraid" to arrest convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein even though everyone "knew" what he was doing.
"Epstein was hiding in plain sight," said Cindy McCain. "We all knew about him. We all knew what he was doing, but we had no one that was ‐ no legal aspect that would go after him. They were afraid of him. For whatever reason, they were afraid of him."
McCain's comments came after she was questioned by an attendee during her appearance at the State of the World 2020 conference in Florida.
McCain said a girl from her daughter's high school was one of Epstein's victims and that she hopes Epstein "is in hell."
Epstein's massive wealth and his connections to powerful politicians and celebrities allowed him to continue trafficking young women and girls long after many had exposed his devious interests.
Dr. Barbara Sampson, the New York City medical examiner, said Epstein died by suicide at a Manhattan federal detention facility last August. His death and the circumstances surrounding it have created controversy after the former medical examiner of New York, Dr. Michael Baden, told 60 Minutes that he believes Epstein was murdered.
Cameras from outside Epstein's jail cell failed to record footage on the night of his death, and guards who were supposed to monitor him every 30 minutes fell asleep when the former financier died.
"She is a thinker, a policy wonk [yes she was and back in 1980 she put out a paper on the over regulation of utilities that was considerably more free enterprise than the base of the Republican Party. About a decade later she had the 'insight', based on her legal work with families, that families bought expensive homes in order for their kids to go to good schools and that sometimes led to bankruptcy and this 'insight' eventually led to her current 'forgive the debts make other stuff free' theories]
and a hard worker," the board wrote in its endorsement. "She remembers her own family and their struggles to make ends meet and her own desperation as a working mother needing child care [I suspect the 'desperation' stuff is exaggerated. Her first husband had a good job with IBM, her second husband, who she married in 1980, was a law professor. Interestingly she was a Republican all those yearsl ]
She cares about people, and she will use her seemingly endless energy and passion to fight for them."

Isn't DMR that rag who doxxed and hounded that regular Joe after he donated all that money?
[Hot Air] Some powerful figures on the left appear eager to spread the word that Facebook intends to swing the outcome of the 2020 election in Trump’s favor. Speaking at an event in Davos this Thursday, George Soros said, “Facebook will work together to re-elect Trump, and Trump will work to protect Facebook so that this situation cannot be changed and it makes me very concerned about the outcome for 2020.”
Today, Hillary Clinton echoed that concern, comparing Mark Zuckerberg to a foreign power and saying she believes he intends to help reelect Trump:

I'm sure suckerpurge is much more concerned with keeping his stock price up than with the woke stuff farcebook peddles to their weak minded users. No way he's backing Warren or Sanders over Trump on that score. No reason for him to back Biden or butt-gig either.

^ of course. And he still has political ambitions. His own people know and have told him that the Wusskies!!! allegations are complete BS.... his own company's data is as predictive if not more so than any combination of polls.
He can draw the right conclusion: Trump WILL be re-elected. He's keeping in good grace with IrangeMan and Repubs generally.

Kayfabe designed to excuse a defeat; make sure Fuckerburg continues to play ball; make Faceborg more credible in the eyes of the right and the normies.
"Gee, if Hillary and the conservatives are both attacking Facebook, they must be in the center."
[NCSpin] A national watchdog alleges that the Guilford and Mecklenburg county board of elections are in violation of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and has threatened to sue the counties and the NC State Board of Elections if they do no comply by early March.
Judicial Watch, a conservative foundation that seeks to promote “transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law,” notified the boards in letters dated December 11.

It may have to do with a transient nature of the population. People arrive and register to vote. They stay for a while and then move on without canceling their registration. Eventually their will be more registered voters than the voting population

Make it a legal requirement to "unregister" when you move before you can register in another jurisdiction. It's done now with drivers' licenses and nobody squawks..

Comparing registration counts to census counts.
They will never align.

No, make everyone re-register, in person - with proof of citizenship, every 4 years. You renew your dirvers license you can re-register to vote.
And ban Motor-Voter.

There is a lot of this around the country. In Colorado it's the wealthy resort counties. People register in their timeshare address and vote while also voting in the home state.
[Free Beacon] A watchdog group has requested records from the Illinois State Board of Elections after 574 noncitizens were added to its voter rolls, allowing some of them to vote illegally in the 2018 midterm elections.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation, an election integrity law firm, made the request on Thursday after the board admitted the error. The individuals in question were improperly invited onto the rolls through a glitch in the state's automatic voter registration system while applying for a driver's license or state identification.
The watchdog says Democratic politicians are pushing automatic voter registration at the expense of election integrity. The issues in Illinois with automatic voter registration, which has been implemented in 18 states and the District of Columbia, contribute to an already widespread trend of noncitizens making their way onto voter rolls nationwide.

VAGUELY remember some concerned citizens this fact AND the DOLTS in illi-noise still did it. ALL concerned in this farce should be prosecuted for registering CRIMINALS
[Jpost] The tweet claimed that the boy was kidnapped by "Israeli settlers, assaulted and thrown in a water well"
US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib
D-West Bank
retweeted a claim that "Israeli settlers" had "kidnapped and executed" a Paleostinian boy. In fact the boy was found by Israeli emergency services dead in a cistern on Saturday morning after going missing on Friday. Nevertheless, some Paleostinian social media accounts incited against Israel, with small festivities resulting in East Jerusalem.
A Twitter account called "Real Seif Bitar" tweeted that the boy had been kidnapped and executed and showed a video of the boy’s body being found by emergency services. The tweet claimed that the boy was kidnapped by "Israeli settlers, assaulted and thrown in a water well, was found this morning frozen to death in Beit Hanina, Jerusalem after Israeli forces assaulted search teams." Paleostinian politician Hanan Ashrawi re-tweeted the allegation and added "the heart just shatters, the pain is unbearable, no words." Congresswoman Tlaib then retweeted the Ashrawi tweet that included the allegations.
However Ashrawi apologized for her tweet. "My apologizes for re-tweeting something that’s not fully verified. It seems that the news of his being kidnapped is not certain." She also tweeted other clarifications and then appeared to delete the tweet. Tlaib’s retweet was also was thereafter deleted but she did not apologize for spreading the false information.
The tweet accusing Israelis of kidnapping and murder and which actually shows the boy’s body being taken from the cistern by medical personnel has now been viewed 125,000 times. It has led to an outpouring of incitement against Israel. George Galloway ... a British national embarrassment, not particularly honest, more fond of dictators and terrorists than he is of his native countrymen except at the peak of the election cycle ... , the UK politician, wrote "there are no words which can fully convey the evil of this story." Many noted that Tlaib had erred in re-tweeting the false story. Arsen Ostrovsky wrote "seriously Rashida Tlaib?...this was a tragic case of a child who went missing and fell into a pool of rainwater, have you no shame in reposting these lies?" Many compared it to a modern day blood libel.
[AmGreatness] "Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) closing arguments ended on a sour note Friday night when he repeated an ugly rumor, prompting several moderate (and considered persuadable) Republican senators to admonish him while he was still speaking.
The Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee reportedly made the senators "visibly angry" when he chose to share a very sketchy CBS News report that broke earlier on Friday.
"CBS News reported last night that a Trump confidante said that GOP Senators were warned, ’Vote against the president and your head will be on a pike!’" said Schiff, reading from the report dramatically. "Now, I don’t know if that’s true," he added. "Vote against the president and your head will be on a pike!"
Although his remarks seemed to have provoked a reaction of dismay in the chamber, Schiff plowed on, saying that he was "struck by the irony" of it, but he was apparently interrupted by the senators.
'I hope it’s not true,' he said to someone off camera. 'I hope it’s not true.' He continued on to make a rather incoherent point. 'I’m struck by the irony of the idea that a president who would make himself a monarch‐that whoever that was would use the terminology of a penalty that was imposed by a monarch.'
According to multiple reporters in the chamber, Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and James Risch (R-ID) called Schiff out on the lie as he was still speaking.
'That’s not true!' they reportedly said.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) reportedly burst out laughing and pulled out his "fidget spinner." And Sen. Lisa Murkouski (R-AK) told reporters that Schiff " lost me" with the "head on a pike" fable." When you've lost both Murkowski and Collins...
Repeating allegations without a shred of evidence.
Pounding yet again his ridiculous Wusskies!!! conspiracy theory that was blown up MONTHS ago--by HIS OWN SIDE'S partisan, two-year $35 million investigation including 500 f---ing depositions and thousands of witnesses and wall-to-wall coverage. That resulting in the conclusion that there was zip, zilch, ZERO evidence of collusion or conspiracy with Russians.
This man is a national disgrace. He has covered himself in shit.

I love how this Mad Hatter, Nadler-Dormouse and their various comrades blathered on for THREE DAYS-- and then were neatly eviscerated by Cipollone et al in less than two hours.

One aspect of the "Shitshow" is lost opportunity cost. Now, that calculation may be a bit different for this House, since I'd rather have Schiff/AOC/Nadler impaling themslves on the spike of impeachment than actually trying to pass legislation. But just in terms of the many millions that have been spent on lawyers, consultants, focus groups, makeup, facelifts, signing pens, etc.-- couldn't that money have been better spent "for the children"? Or -- and I know this is crazy talk-- paying down our virtually infinite national debt? Or maybe virology research?

Schifferbrains makes Senator Joe McCarthy look like a paragon of wisdom and civic virtue.
His SS act could have been taken from an early Woody Allen comedy, like the trial scene in Bananas or the interview with the parents in Take the Money and Run.
Remember, this is the joker who wants to be a Hollywood screeenwriter, the one who simply made shit up and then got it entered into the Congressional Record... and later called it a "parody."
While sitting all day, every day, the Senate cannot approve President Trump’s proposed judges and staffers. This hampers his ability to revamp the judiciary as well as hire and reward the people he needs to run the executive branch.
[IsraelTimes] American Jewish philanthropist George Soros ...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true... has announced an investment of $1 billion in a new international educational initiative to promote liberal values and free societies. Nazi-collaborator
Soros announced the Open Society University Network at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland ...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell... , calling it "the most important and enduring project of my life."
Details on the project were scant, but a statement said it would aim "to reach the students who need it the most and to promote the values of open society ‐ including free expression and diversity of beliefs."
It will also seek to assist "institutions in need of international partners, as well as neglected populations" and help "politically endangered scholars."
The initiative describes itself as seeking to "strengthen foundations of open society amid authoritarian resurgence" around the world, and to "counteract polarization by promoting global research collaboration and educating students to examine issues from different perspectives and advance reasoned arguments."
One of the project’s founding members is the Central Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... an University, a private institution founded by Soros which was forced to relocate from Budapest in 2018 over pressure from the government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. It recently opened its new Vienna campus.
Soros’s intense efforts to promote progressive causes have made him a frequent target and boogeyman of right-wing leaders and a key figure in far-right conspiracy theories. His vilification has often carried anti-Semitic undertones, with the 89-year-old portrayed as a villainous figure trying to gain global power.
Whatevs, dudes. I loathe him because he has been a vile human being all his life, not because both he and I are Jewish.
The Jewish billionaire told the Guardian in November he believed the tide may be turning against recent years’ wave of global populism,
...you go on putting down money on your belief, Mr. Soros, while we keep proving you wrong...
and said of his vilification by right-wing leaders that he "must be doing something right."

This is a man whose millions ensured the election of multiple quasi-bolshevik cop-haters and pro-criminal radicals as prosecutors and top law enforcement officials around the US.

Does Soros also demand Israel open all of it's borders?
He has said he is not a Zionist, Varmint Splat1454. He funds a sheaf of anti-Israel groups — for example, he and sources linked to him reportedly contribute 7% of the leftwing J Street’s budget, though they lied for years about getting anything from him.
