Jason Whitlock on Memphis PD Video of Tyre Nichols Beating
[FOX] During an appearance on FNC’s "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Jason Whitlock, host of the "Fearless" podcast, said the actions of the five Memphis Police Officers charged with the murder of Tyre Nichols were a reflection of the breakdown of the family.

According to Whitlock, the beating was a clear-cut case of illegality by the accused law enforcement officers. However, it also appeared to represent the culture of single mothers who have risen to leadership posts in many American cities.

"They don’t want us focused on reality. Hey, if they want to devote an hour of coverage to this and weekend coverage of this, and they want to take us to a good place, I would examine the racial element of this because there is a racial element. And this is a story about young black men and their inability to treat each other in a humane way. Everybody involved in this on the street level was either 24 to 32 years old, everybody. It was a group of young black men, five-on-one. It looked like gang violence to me. It looked like what young black men do when they’re supervised by a single black woman, and that’s what they’ve got going on in the Memphis Police Department."

"They’ve elected some — put some black woman in charge of the police force, and we are getting the same kind of chaos and disunity and violence that we see in a lot of these cities that are run by single mothers," Whitlock continued. "If we want to discuss the breakdown of family that leads to disrespect for authority that causes you to resist the police and run from the police and not comply with the police because you resist authority at all time because there was no male authority in your home, let’s have that discussion."

"But that’s not where they want to take us," he added. "They want to take us down the path of saying, you know what, this is Tucker Carlson’s fault. This is some random white — this is Donald Trump’s fault. It’s not. It is the breakdown of family and the buying into all these left-wing things that have nothing to do with promoting family."

#10  Chief Cerelyn Davis is married and has one daughter and two grandchildren, according to Mediaite. Whether she was once a single mother is not clear from a cursory search of the internet, but Mr. Whitlock should be sure of his facts before forcing the situation to fit his Procrustean bed. A pity, because that point about young Black males from fatherless households (in fact, all children who grow up without their fathers) is to important to be damaged by information as easily found as a simple name search.

The silly argument that Asian mass murderers are assimilated Americans
[American Thinker] One of the defining hallmarks of leftism is that America invariably suffers compared to other cultures. There’s a good example of this in the New York Times, where a man named Jeff Yang claims that the reason two Asian men killed numerous Asian victims last week is that they’ve been assimilated into American values. Yang might want to look back to Asia to see that these men might have brought some Asian values with them to America.

Last week was a tragic one for 18 Asian victims in California. In Monterey Park, Huu Can Tran, a Vietnamese man who immigrated to America from China, went to a dance hall frequented by his ex-wife and callously slaughtered 11 people. Just days later, it emerged that Zhao Chunli, a few hundred miles up the California coast, murdered another seven people in Half Moon Bay, California. In his essay, Yang also brings up the case of David Chou, who, in May 2022, killed one person in an Asian church in Laguna Woods, California, and injured four others.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
I Love This Japanese Doctor !
From Besoeker’s in-box:
Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?

A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that's it... Don't waste time on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it’s like saying you extend life of a car by driving faster. Want to live longer? - Take nap.

Q:
Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that means they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too. - Bottoms up!

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can't think of one, sorry. My philosophy: No pain...very good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food fried in vegetable oil. How can getting more vegetable be bad?

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: You crazy?!? HEL-LO-O-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around.

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.

Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?

A: Hey! 'Round' is also a shape!

Well... I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:

Finally, the Japanese Doctor summed up: Look mister, Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride my life was"!!!!!

Eat whatever you like because you will still DIE, don't allow motivational speakers deceive you.

1. The inventor of the treadmill died at the age of 54.
2. The inventor of gymnastics died at the age of 57.
3. The world bodybuilding champion died at the age of 41.
4. The best footballer in the world Maradona died at the age of 60.

BUT

5. The KFC inventor died at 94.
6. Inventor of Nutella brand died at the age of 88.
7. Imagine, cigarette maker Winston died at the age of 102.
8. The inventor of opium died at the age of 116 in an earthquake.
9. Hennessey Cognac inventor died at 98.

How did these doctors come to the conclusion that exercise prolongs life?

The rabbit is always jumping up and down but it lives for only 2 years and the turtle that doesn’t exercise at all, lives 400 years.

So, take some rest, Chill, stay cool, eat, drink and enjoy your life.

#5  Our guest was delighted, Seeking cure, and thereafter always said yes immediately to our invitations, informing his wife of the details afterward. And Mr. Wife very much likes my zucchini bread.

The thing was, Mr. Wife spent a good portion of his career traveling abroad, and meeting with colleagues from abroad when they came to company headquarters in Cincinnati and, during our international period, to his office in Frankfurt and later Brussels. They were all accustomed to going to restaurants for dinner during these business trips, but then I’d not see him until late even when he was home. So we had a standing arrangement — until I got sick, anyway — that as long as he called me by 4 p.m. to let me know how many he was bringing, I’d happily feed his colleagues that evening. I had the ingredients for a few set menus always on hand, and some desserts in the freezer, so it wasn’t a problem... and I met a great many fascinating people, I got to spend time with my husband, and his colleagues got a change from restaurant fare. Win-win-win. :-)

Economy
Americans struggling to make car payments is highest since Great Recession
[Fox Business] A growing number of Americans are falling behind on their car payments, an ominous sign for the U.S. economy as high car prices and persistent inflation strain household budgets.

Car repossessions tumbled in the early days of the pandemic when the government sent millions of Americans stimulus checks. But they have progressively ticked higher as sky-high prices for used and new cars alike forced consumers to take out bigger loans.

In December, the percentage of subprime auto borrowers who were at least 60 days late on their bills climbed to 5.67% — a major increase from a seven-year low of 2.58% in April 2021, according to Fitch Ratings. It marks the steepest rate of Americans struggling to make their car payments since the 2008 financial crisis.

In our case, Corporate America greediness seems to have been our problem.

We REFI'd our Chrysler Capital car loan with our local credit union. Dropping the rate from 5.9% to 3.19%. It saved us enough to cover what seems to be an Industry wide car insurance price hike.

#2  ...We're fortunate, both of our cars are in reasonably good shape and paid off. But I shudder to think what we'll have to do if one of them is wrecked or develops some unaffordable glitch.

With 12 year old cars going for well into five figures here, this is insane.

India-Pakistan
Rising Islamic fundamentalism in Pakistan
[OneIndia] Another worrying aspect of the terrorist nexus in Pakistan is the emergence of the Punjabi Taliban, a loose terror network that has spread all over Pakistan. This group is not only in cahoots with the Pakistani Taliban but they also have suspected links with al-Qaeda.
Several sections can be read at the link covering the growth of Islamism in Pakistan from independence in 1947, PM Bhutto, the military coup of General Zia ul-Haz, Afghan refugees during the Afghanistans’s Marxist/Soviet period. Jumping back in:
RISE & RISE OF TALIBAN
For years, the Afghan Taliban
...Arabic for students...
were considered an 'asset' in Pakistain's establishment circles. They were trained and funded by the State so that Pakistain would not have an 'enemy' to deal with Western border. A nexus between the local Taliban and their counterparts in Afghanistan has by now become obvious. After the US invasion of Afghanistan and the overthrow of the Taliban, the Northern Alliance came to power. Musharraf adopted a dual policy when it came to handing over bandidos hard boyz to the Americans. The Afghan Taliban were protected while members of al-Qaeda were caught and subsequently handed over.

#1  Excellent recapitulation.
Add: The day Pakistan was declared as the Islamic Republic, the seeds of the sectarian discord were sown. Not only was that but the country pushed into the lap of the cruel and merciless religious bands getting stronger with the time passage. With the time passage, the religious animosity and cutthroat sectarianism has attained new horrendous heights.
Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) is a Sunni Deobandi Pakistani organization. It was formed in 1985 by a conservative Sunni cleric Maulana Haq Nawaz Jhangvi, in collusion with the then military dictator Ziaul-Haq. Its tacit and declared goal then was and is to stem the spillover influence of 1979 Iranian Revolution in Pakistan. When Pervez Musharraf banned it in 2002 as a terrorist organization, it reemerged under a new name "Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat".
The Lashkar-e- Jhangvi is a breakaway faction of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan. It was established in 1996 by two former stalwarts of SSP namely Riaz Basra and Malik Ishaq. LJ has ties to the Talban, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU), Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Al-Qaida, and Jundullah.
These and other religious militant factions have been wreaking havoc by fomenting sectarian wars and forcing the respective government in Pakistan to accept their dictates. Since its establishment, the SSP and LJ have launched countless attacks on the Shias, their religious processions, shrines and mosques killing them in innumerable numbers.
