[Breitbart] The CEO of DICK’S Sporting Goods announced on Friday that in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, DICK’S would cover the travel costs of employees seeking abortions.
Lauren Hobart, president, and CEO of DICK’S, announced that the company would reimburse employees up to $4,000 for travel expenses associated with obtaining an abortion.
"In response to today’s ruling, we are announcing that if a state one of our teammates lives in restricts access to abortion, DICK’S Sporting Goods will provide up to $4,000 in travel expense reimbursement to travel to the nearest location where that care is legally available. This benefit will be provided to any teammate, spouse or dependent enrolled in our medical plan, along with one support person," Hobart wrote in part.
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas called on fellow jurists to overturn previous landmark rulings after the court nixed Roe v. Wade on Friday.
The changes, aired in a concurring opinion of the decision penned by Thomas, would see limits put on gay marriage, same-sex activity, and birth control access
Demonstrators protested outside Thomas' house on Friday afternoon, as President Joe Biden urged calm and stressed that any protest should remain peaceful
People across the country were taking to the streets - in DC, New York City, Los Angeles, Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta and beyond
Eric Adams, the mayor of New York, said they were ready for their city to become a safe haven for those needing an abortion, as he revealed that when he was 15, his girlfriend needed and got an abortion
It comes as the Supreme Court controversially elected to strike down Roe v. Wade, a nearly 50 year-old decision that allowed women to have abortions
All this happened while the other 99.9999% of America peacefully thanked GOD. While asking why did it take 47 years to stop the genocide of millions of minorities by the Liberals, Socialists and Democrats.
It's going to be interesting here in New Mexico. They were already out protesting last night. There is a governor's race going on. The Trunk nominee is a Trumper. We'll see if he can fight. If you recall the recent victory of the Latina in TX, she ran on God, Family, Country. Well the state here is heavily Hispanic and Roman Catholic. If the Trunk runs hard on that the Donk governor may well be a one termer. You urbanist activist girls go! Tell the natives to stick it. Pass the popcorn.
Cedar Rapids is a fairly conservative area, but way too close to Iowa City (U of I 'Quasi-Marxist Area').
'Plowing through a crowd' at 1-2 MPH is a bit of journalistic sensationalism.
The 40 MPH journey through the 2021 Waukesha Christmas parade was 'mostly peaceful', of course.

I am curious why the USSC doesn't have their very own US Marshals to clean up the illegal messes protesters create in the yards of the homes of the justices.
This should be yet another campaign issue, but I doubt it will happen.

What do these idiots expect? Better be glad it wasn't me, they would be missing limbs or life.
There was a poll a few years back and the results stated that over 60% of Americans of both parties did not support Roe v Wade and over 65% were against abortion on demand
I find it disturbing to hear a black mayor or black senator criticizing the Supreme Court when it is well known that Planned Parenthood targets black communities and has murdered over 40 million black babies
Yep if you’re wondering why the black population is stuck at 8% it’s abortion
[Breitbart] Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday vowed to provide service members with "seamless access" to reproductive health care in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. "both for our young men, wymyns, and the other 55 birthing genders"
He said in a statement:
Nothing is more important to me or to this Department than the health and well-being of our Service members, the civilian workforce and DOD families. I am committed to taking care of our people and ensuring the readiness and resilience of our Force. The Department is examining this decision closely and evaluating our policies to ensure we continue to provide seamless access to reproductive health care as permitted by federal law.
Austin’s statement comes after progressive veterans and service members voiced outraged on social media over the Supreme Court’s ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, which effectively overturned Roe v. Wade. They expressed concern that service members would be serving in states that did not allow for abortion. Some claimed that the Supreme Court was coming after gay rights next.
During former President Donald Trump’s administration, Pentagon officials — particularly those who disliked Trump — strived to keep politics away from the Pentagon, arguing that it needed to remain apolitical.
Despite President Joe Biden vowing to never politicize the military, Austin’s statement wades directly into a political issue and arguably constitutes a stance — that the Pentagon will "ensure" that service members have access to reproductive healthcare — a euphemism for abortions.
[Garden & Gun] For Matt DuBoise, the founder of Carolina Coops in Creedmoor, North Carolina, the whole idea for his business started with caring for cute, fluffy chicks as part of a grade school project. "I took it very seriously," DuBoise says with a laugh. "And my chicks were the only ones to survive the weekend." He also always loved constructing things. "In 2008, my fiancée, Gnon, and I were living in Durham, and I built my first coop." That structure didn’t last long—but only because he quickly decided he wanted an even bigger version for even more birds. When he sold that first one on Craigslist, a fledgling business was born. Only one question. "Gnon"??
I love to eat chicken. Fried, BBQ, enchiladas, blackened on salads. I am happy to have none in my yard. I do get that in SHTF times I won't be getting it at the store, but I have neighbors who will probably trade for ammo and maintenance on their generators and solar arrays.
As always, thanks to Besoeker for a great post.

2018, according to the White House Council of Economic Advisers, the cost of overdose fatalities was $696 billion, despite being roughly two-thirds of annual overdose deaths today. It is therefore reasonable to estimate that drug overdoses are now costing the United States approximately $1 trillion annually."
[PJ] Does the Dobbs v. Jackson decision herald the end of the era of the Supreme Court legislating from the bench? In his opinion agreeing with Justice Samuel Alito’s majority decision overturning Roe v. Wade, Justice Clarence Thomas stated that "in future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell," that is, the Supreme Court decisions that discovered "rights" to contraception, homosexual activity, and same-sex marriage. Contrary to Leftist hysteria, this doesn’t mean that these things will suddenly be outlawed and we will be plunged into a Leftist nightmare world of Handmaid’s Tale pseudo-Christian theocracy: just as Dobbs doesn’t actually outlaw abortion but leaves it up to the states, so any overturning of those other rulings would throw those issues back to the states as well. it only means that the possibility has opened anew that the Supreme Court might actually base its decision on law, not on the Leftist agenda.
Thomas explained that Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell needed to be reconsidered "because any substantive due process decision is ’demonstrably erroneous.’"
"Substantive due process" refers to "rights" that are founded in the reasoning first enunciated in Griswold v. Connecticut: specific guarantees in the Bill of Rights have "penumbras, formed by emanations," that create "zones of privacy." Thus the Roe v. Wade decision referred to rights of "personal marital, familial, and sexual privacy said to be protected by the Bill of Rights or its penumbras."
A "penumbra" in this usage refers to a right that isn’t actually stated in the founding documents, but which is supposedly implied in them, at least in the opinion of Leftist Supreme Court Justices. That kind of jurisprudence can lead to literally anything being held as Constitutionally justified, and that’s just the problem. Justice Alito wrote in his Dobbs v. Jackson decision that Roe v. Wade was "egregiously wrong and on a collision course with the Constitution from the day it was decided," precisely because it was based not on anything that was actually written in the Constitution, but on a "penumbra" that Justice Harry Blackmun and his colleagues who voted for Roe claimed to find there.
The federal system designed by the Founders. Only enough centralization that is necessary for security and commerce with decentralizing as much as you can to prevent tyranny. Time for everyone to reread the Declaration of Independence.
That is what is at the heart of the entire conflict. The socialists want lawfare, it's that simple. There are no doubt some number of useful idiots in the streets and others tweeting their Hollywood fingers bloody who are true believers, even if burdened with low reading comprehension.
But based on an adult reading of primary source documents rather than the aforementioned tweets, any substantive due process decision IS demonstrably erroneous.
[BBC] Explorers have found the deepest shipwreck ever identified, a US navy destroyer escort sunk during WWII.
The USS Samuel B Roberts went down during the Battle Off Samar in the Philippine Sea in October 1944. It lies in 6,895m (22,621ft) of water.
Texan financier and adventurer Victor Vescovo, who owns a deep-diving submersible, discovered the "Sammy B" battered but largely intact.
The vessel is famed for a heroic final stand against the Japanese. That's putting it mildly. US destroyer escorts weren't designed for yardarm-to-yardarm combat with Japanese heavy cruisers, but the officers and crew of the Sammy B got the most out of their gallant little ship. See Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors.
Victor Vescovo for President. The man knows how to get hard things done.

LSotTCS is a movie script ready to go. Probably end up with something even worse than what the chinese did with Midway.
[FoxBusinessNews] A recent purchase of 2,100 acres of prime North Dakota farmland by a group tied to billionaire Bill Gates has some in the state concerned that they are being exploited by the ultra-wealthy.
Gates owns some 269,000 acres across dozens of states, according to last year’s edition of the Land Report 100, an annual survey of the nation’s largest landowners. The Microsoft co-founder is considered to be the largest private owner of farmland in U.S. He owns less than 1% of the nation’s total farmland.
In question is a Depression-era law meant to protect family farms.
North Dakota's attorney general has asked the trust involved in the purchase to explain how it plans to use the land in order to meet rules outlined in the state's anti-corporate farming law.
The law prohibits all corporations or limited liability companies from owning or leasing farmland or ranchland, with some exceptions.
"I don't know that it's quite as volatile a situation as some have depicted," North Dakota Republican Attorney General Drew Wrigley told The Associated Press Thursday. "It's taken off, it's all over the planet, but it's not me sticking a finger in the eye of Bill Gates. That's not what this is."
The state's Agriculture Commissioner, Republican Doug Goehring, told a North Dakota TV station that some residents feel they are being exploited by the ultra-rich who buy land but do not necessarily share the state’s values.
"I’ve gotten a big earful on this from clear across the state, it’s not even from that neighborhood. Those people are upset, but there are others that are just livid about this," Goehring told KFYR.
Goehring, who is currently on a state-sponsored trade mission to the United Kingdom, did not immediately respond to a list of questions emailed by the AP.
Charles V. Zehren, a spokesman for Gates' investment firm, declined Thursday to comment to the AP.
It is standard for the attorney general's office to send an inquiry when notified of farmland sales.

I would like to read articles with all relevant details on this law. Also like to know the real estate taxes Bill Gates pays nationwide. Also like to know how / who / etc. sets those tax rates.
I know in resort areas, vacation homes (those not owner occupied year around) are taxed at higher levels than other categories.

CNN,CIA director. I have little faith in their prognostications. The bear will endure and slog on. I really don't think the west understands the Russian determination. Something the West has lost going so woke. Those I see retired and active service bemoan the current military mental state. OH, they will serve and support the commander and chief but the energy is gone. Leadership, like the light is on, but nobody is home.
Don't ignore the fact that the Russians are playing their full hand now less nukes. Their TTP is on full display. The West is given valuable data on capabilities, limitations and vulnerabilities without having to guess. It makes planning (and budgeting) far better.
In the CNN clip above dated 19-Jun, Petraeus the Prognosticator praises the Ukrainians on their tenacious defense of Severodonetsk. Yes, the same Severodonetsk that the Russians now control.
Looking at a map, the loss of Severodontsk seemed a likely outcome, given some time and artillery. I have to wonder if this was Petraeus's actual military opinion or if he was just reciting the party line.

Yermak noted that the norms of the bill also provide for the transfer of confiscated property to another state: "In the case of Ukraine, this means that Canada will be able to confiscate Russian assets frozen on its territory and transfer them to Ukraine." According to him, this is the first precedent for fixing such a mechanism in the legislation after the start of the war.

The European Council stresses that it remains committed to providing further military support to Kyiv "to help Ukraine exercise its inalienable right to self-defence against Russian aggression and to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty." 17:09 Ukraine is experiencing a shortage of artillery ammunition, primarily 122 mm and 152 mm shells, which make up the bulk of Ukrainian artillery, writes The Washington Post. The shortage has much to do with the fact that Russia has spent years targeting ammunition depots and suppliers in Ukraine and other Eastern European countries.
According to the publication, a "shadow war" is going on in the world market for a limited number of 152-mm shells. Many former Soviet republics that have ammunition stocks are reluctant to sell them to Ukraine because of their close ties to the Russian Federation, and some openly admitted that Russia threatened them with reprisal.
17:04 Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, several thousand dolphins have died in the Black Sea. According to Ivan Rusev, head of the research department of the Tuzlovsky Limans Natural Park , powerful sonars and explosions destroy the delicate navigation system of animals, which is why dolphins "go blind" and die of starvation.
16:57 EU countries have decided to provide Ukraine with assistance in the amount of 9 billion euros , said Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
16:51 The Foreign Ministers of the G7 countries issued a joint statement in which, in particular, they called on Moscow to stop attacks and threats and unblock Ukrainian Black Sea ports for food exports. The statement also says that measures against the Russian Federation allow food and agricultural products from Russia to enter world markets. At the same time, Russia's war against Ukraine exacerbates food insecurity.
The G7 ministers also welcomed the decision to grant Ukraine and Moldova the status of candidates for EU accession and promised to continue to provide Kyiv with support, including military support, as long as necessary.
16:45 Ukraine is preparing a "white list" of Russian artists, which will include Russians who supported Ukraine and condemned the Russian invasion, Deputy Minister of Culture Taras Shevchenko said.
16:40 Russia will try to draw Belarus into a military conflict with Ukraine through a series of provocations. According to the military intelligence of Ukraine, for this purpose, sabotage groups arrived in the city of Mozyr under the guise of civilians, which include personnel officers of the GRU of the Russian Federation and mercenaries of private military companies.
The plans of the DRG include the organization of a series of terrorist attacks on the territory of Belarus - just as it was at the time when the war was fomented in Chechnya. Then the special services of the Russian Federation organized explosions in several houses in Ryazan, blaming the mythical "Chechen militants" for this. Now the Russian GRU plans to launch a series of artillery and missile strikes on the Mozyr oil refinery, civilian infrastructure and residential areas. During the shelling, residential buildings, hospitals and schools will additionally be blown up.
This, according to the calculations of the Kremlin curators of the "special operation", should create a pretext for Lukashenka to participate in the war. Having this information, the officers of the army of the Republic of Belarus began the evacuation of their families from Mazyr, which was previously reported by the opposition Belarusian media.
16:33 Cases of kidnapping of relatives of the Ukrainian military in the occupied territories are becoming systemic. Databases of Ukrainian citizens fall into the hands of the occupiers when seizing administrative buildings or with the help of collaborators-traitors, reports the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. To date, most of these cases are recorded in Zaporozhye, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. At the same time, both adult relatives (including women and the elderly) and children are kidnapped.

Intelligence believes that amid insufficient numbers of properly trained personnel and combat losses, Russia is trying to support an invasion of Ukraine with sufficient crews.
The report that the Russian pilot was using commercial GPS devices rather than Russian military navigation equipment suggests that the Wagner aircraft are older Su-25 models and that the Russian Air Force is not providing them with modern avionics equipment, analysts say.

Withdrawal around Lysychansk and Severodonetsk has been chaotic. Incoming and outgoing MLRS fire very close to us, planes firing rockets, American M777s deployed around the towns. Constant stream of vehicles carrying soldiers out towards Bakhmut and surrounds.
The post cold world order has been over since at least Obumble. When the US pretty much stopped giving a fuck about enforcing international trade protection, globalization started to end.
Now with globalization completely collapsing, populations cratering and the just-in-time supply systems ending... well it is getting very interesting. Unfortunately, it looks like nearly a billion people will starve to death because of the collapse as there won't be a way to ship the food and/or fertilizer to them.
The inherent friction of command versus demand economic systems is amplified by the infinite collection of transnational components that globalization has produced. Command economies always fail as complexities grow, and second, third and forth order consequences overwhelm the decision making center. Now add a political coalition called the Demokrat Party and its efforts to create the Obama 3.0 Imperial President, with a titular facade of a senile, corruptokrat Biden Crime family, and voila, paralysis and basic function failure. Every key supply node of that globalist web is competing for decision and coordination, and the committee behind Jojo is lost in minutia. This is a cascading collapse with tragic implications for world peace and civility between nations.

18:51 Almost all residents of Lisichansk are waiting for the RF Armed Forces and accusing the Ukrainian Armed Forces of shelling.
This was stated by France 2 journalists after talking with residents, according to @rt_russian.
“It is the Ukrainian army that is shelling us, it is they who are killing our children!”
"I want to see the Russians win and establish their power here."
“We want to unite with the Russians! They are our friends, not the Germans or Europe.”
Correspondents say that almost no one wants to be evacuated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Russians are expected as liberators.

The bridge in the village across the railway was also blown up by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the retreat.
APU fled from Zolote under the guise of civilians
"They kicked people out, started digging trenches right under the entrances. In the morning, they changed into civilian clothes, threw off their bulletproof vests and drove off in cars," the locals said about the retreat of the militants.
Izvestia correspondent Denis Kulagaalso found out that the Ukrainian soldiers deliberately hit the houses with mortar fire, because television was supposed to arrive.

14:25 The grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Lysychansk is in the operational environment. The attempt to break through ended in huge losses.
The "Brave" grouping went to Volcheyarovka and took control of the Seversk-Lysichansk highway under fire control. Attempts to withdraw the surviving units ended in huge losses. Only the 81st Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the flight along the shelled road to Seversk, was able to withdraw no more than 10 percent of the battalion personnel due to losses.
Intelligence of the "Brave" says that the situation in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Lysichansk can be described in only one word - panic. Many blame the leadership in Kyiv and Zelensky personally for this, who, for the sake of the information agenda and politics, sacrificed the 7,000 strong garrison of Lysichansk.

14:06 They report on the work of air defense in Makeevka.
13:58 Briefly in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
Now it is very noisy in the Slavyansk direction, not like it was a week ago. Departures, arrivals, constant movement of Ukrainian vehicles through the small streets of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. The evenings have become insanely noisy, this is definitely not the work of air defense. Now more night strikes are targeted at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city, the outskirts are also on fire.
People whom I know very well, no matter how strange it may sound, are extremely happy about the arrivals and the approach of the RF Armed Forces. Many acquaintances say that Slavyansk, together with Kramatorsk, will be handed over.
From our cities a long time ago everything of value was taken out. There is no point in defending even the same Kramatorsk. The city is in a pit, most of the factories and large enterprises, such as: "SKMZ, NKMZ, Kuibyshev, Pushka cement plant", have long been defeated by Caliber strikes.
It makes no sense to stand and keep the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, people here hate them even because they are not an army, but pests. They establish their positions in residential developments, put military equipment in the city's private vineyards, all this leads to massive destruction, which results in a negative direction in relation to the "defenders".
Of course, soldiers from Lvov, Vinnitsa, Zhytomyr and Rovno (and there are many of them here) are well aware that this is not their land. They will not willingly defend us, so we have such talk on the "neighborly radio" about the imminent surrender of these two directions into the hands of the RF Armed Forces without much carnage.

Zaluzhny demanded to take his soldiers to Slavyansk-Kramatorsk, and the clown ordered to stand to death. Zaluzhny accused the clown of working for the enemy and hung up. After that, Zaluzhny imitated the execution of the clown's order, and he himself, behind the scenes, gave the order to withdraw the troops "

Our fighters are embarking on the complete liberation of the nearby settlement of Gorskoye. The cleansing is proceeding in stages, the ring of forces of the National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the people's militia of the LPR is gradually narrowing, the Nazis are being identified in buildings and methodically demilitarized.
As I said, our forces are using new warfare tactics, and they are making tangible progress. In recent days, the liberation of territories from Ukrainian occupiers has been going on many times faster and more efficiently. Panic is noticeable among the Nazis, which I already told you about a little higher."

[LI] The two big U.S. Supreme Court decisions this week concerned the Second Amendment and abortion. Democrats are furious with both decisions.
But not to worry, the United States Department of Justice has decided to rise above politics and to use its vast resources to effectuate the Supreme Court’s rulings — JUST KIDDING.
DOJ and Attorney General Merrick Garland have vowed to use their vast resources to limit the effect of the Supreme Court’s rulings. They are going all insurrectiony, but legally, of course.
On June 23, 2022, DOJ issued a statement of disagreement with the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Second Amendment in the Bruen case:
The Department of Justice today released the following statement from spokeswoman Dena Iverson following the Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc., et al. v. Bruen, Superintendent of New York State Police, et al.:
"We respectfully disagree with the Court’s conclusion that the Second Amendment forbids New York’s reasonable requirement that individuals seeking to carry a concealed handgun must show that they need to do so for self-defense. The Department of Justice remains committed to saving innocent lives by enforcing and defending federal firearms laws, partnering with state, local and tribal authorities and using all legally available tools to tackle the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our communities."
Today, DOJ issued a statement in the name of Garland vowing to counteract the potential effects of the abortion decision in the Dobbs case (emphasis added):
So DOJ Staff and the AG are in DIRECT CONFLICT with SUPREME Court and law of the Land. The highest court in the USA that dictates what the Federal Gov and the DOJ's legal powers of enforcement are vs. Citizens Rights.
Sure sounds like we need to start arresting Federal Law Violators in the DOJ and Congress before we arrest one US Citizen exercising their RIGHTS.
I guess supporting and defending the Constitution is out the window.

If we had a real opposition party, the fundamental design in the system would be for a Trunk Congress to refuse to fund any department or agency that declares itself outside the law. The power of the purse strings is a basic design of the Anglo-American system of government.
I'm a firm believer in that when any federal employee breaks the law in the course of their job, they be given MASSIVE jail sentences and fines. As well as being barred from working in any government position again.
Every seat in the House of Representatives is up or election in November. Don't just write the incumbents, ask every single candidate, as often as necessary, about the gross failure of the AG, DOJ and FBI in enforcing existing laws and their outright insubordination re: the USSC. Make them state their position and don't let them use weasel words. MAKE THIS A CAMPAIGN ISSUE.

Kind of hard to imagine that government could be corrupt without an equally corrupt enforcement arm.
[Aljazeera] International condemnation has been swift following the US Supreme Court’s decision to upend the constitutional protections for abortion contained in the landmark Roe v Wade ruling of 1973.
The controversial ruling on Friday means that roughly half of all US states are now poised to ban abortions.
The US court’s decision was "a major setback" and a "huge blow to women’s human rights and gender equality", UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet said in a statement.
A spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said restricting abortion access does not stop people seeking the procedure "it only makes it more deadly".
"Sexual and reproductive health and rights are the foundation of a life of choice, empowerment and equality for the world’s women and girls," the secretary-general’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters on Friday.
On 19 July 2017, the Senate of Chile approved legislation permitting abortion under limited circumstances (if the pregnancy endangers the life of the woman, if the fetus is not viable, if the pregnancy resulted from rape) with 22 votes in favor and 13 against. On 3 August, the Chamber of Deputies of Chile approved the legislation with 70 votes in favor, 45 votes against and 1 abstention. On 21 August 2017, Chile's Constitutional Court accepted the constitutionality of the measure with a 6–4 vote. President Michelle Bachelet, who had already signed the draft bill version of the law in 2015 before it was passed in August 2017, praised the court's decision to make the bill a law. According to polls, 70% of Chileans approve of such a law
What the USSC did was AFAICT was no more severe than what Michele Bachelet is on the record as supporting. She seems to be talking out of both sides of her mouth.

chip factory currently in the early stages of being built outside of Columbus, Ohio, could see its scope scaled back or construction delayed depending on what Congress does with the CHIPS Act.
The facility was announced in January and would be the most significant expansion of U.S.-based semiconductor manufacturing in years.
Part of Intel’s plan for the facility included subsidies from the U.S. government from the CHIPS Act, which could fund computer chip manufacturing with $52 billion from the U.S. Government to encourage semiconductor manufacturing and research. The bill was passed by the Senate last summer but has yet to be signed into law.
The CHIPS Act has been stalled as lawmakers seek to work out differences between two competing versions of legislation passed in each chamber over roughly the last year. The semiconductor funding is just one part of a broader package that must make its way through the negotiation process.
Other chip makers passed them up with faster stuff.
I don't give a hoot what these other chip makers are up to. The issue here is the utterly stupid business decisions in recent years to outsource as much of US chip supply lines as they could get away with. Now we are suffering for their stupidity. An unknown number of new but only partially built US cars, SUVs and trucks are sitting in parking lots waiting for essential computer chips to again be available. One might think the US gubmint would be doing everything it can do to facilitate an increase in domestic chip production. One might think that, but one would be wrong.
By the way, in recent months late model used cars can be sold for MORE than their original MSRP. The few new vehicles are often being sold by US dealers for $1000s OVER MSRP, due to the extreme shortages.
