President Donald Trump says FBI will look into Jussie Smollett case
[USA Today] WASHINGTON ‐ President Donald Trump said Thursday he would have the FBI and the Justice Department review "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett case.

"It is an embarrassment to our Nation!" Trump tweeted.

It is unclear whether federal authorities would have any jurisdiction over the Smollett case.

Trump's critics said the president is playing racial politics with the Smollett case, seeking to undercut the victims of real racial violence that is on the rise.

"By claiming a false attack, Smollett tried to exploit the hate @realDonaldTrump has stirred," tweeted David Axelrod, adviser to President Barack Obama. "Now, predictably, Trump is moving to exploit Smollett’s exploitation. Talk about a vicious circle!"

Local prosecutors in Chicago announced Tuesday they were dropping disorderly conduct charges against Smollett for filing a false police report. The decision came less than three weeks after the actor was indicted on charges that he paid two men to stage a hoax attack to make him look like the victim of a racist hate crime.

Smollett’s legal team is taking offense with comments to the media by Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office officials, saying prosecutors and police are "continuing their campaign" against the actor. Prosecutors said they’ve dropped the charges, but insist that doesn't mean Smollett was exonerated of wrongdoing.

Federal Prosecutor: Creepy Porn Lawyer Hasn't Filed A Tax Return Since 2010
The man who would become president.
[Daily Caller] Federal Prosecutor: Former Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti hasn’t filed an income tax return since 2010 and skipped out on payments in 2009 and 2010, according to federal prosecutors.

The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday that Avenatti, now facing federal indictments in both New York and California, appears to have been living the life of luxury ‐ all while allegedly stiffing Uncle Sam on a regular basis.

In 2009, the IRS reports that Avenatti claimed some $1.9 million in personal income ‐ but never paid his tax bill, which amounted to $570,000. He allegedly repeated the same move in 2010, when he claimed $1.2 million in earnings but never paid the $282,000 he owed on that income.

Since 2010, the IRS reports that Avenatti did not file tax returns, either personal or for his law firm, Avenatti & Associates, in spite of bank deposits totaling $18 million and $38 million respectively.

Remoun Karlous, an IRS criminal investigator, wrote in his sworn statement that in that time, "Avenatti generated substantial income and lived lavishly."

#9  Sadly the IRS will take ten cents on the dollar since the bill is going to be huge with interest and penalties.

Extremely doubtful in a criminal / non-filer case. Setting that aside for a moment, the IRS is very reluctant to grant offers in compromise, because that would be done only when there's doubt as to the actual liability (not met here) or doubt as to collectability (which may be met here).

I'm going to a client today who lives on Cape Cod, and as part of her third offer in compromise (first two failed), I have to help put together a Form 433-B and a 433-A, which are used to judge one's inability to pay. It's a low six-figure amount, and I feel she would've been better off forking what she's paid in legal fees (at least $5,000 for each offer in compromise) and my fees in preparing these forms to the IRS, she'd be somewhat out of the woods by now. In Al Sharpton's case and Wesley Snipes' case), I'm certain offers in compromise were not successful. I fully expect the IRS to make an example out of this guy.

Devin Nunes Sending Criminal Referral to DOJ over Spygate: ‘Time to Go on Offense'
[Breitbart] House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) is planning to send a criminal referral next week to the Justice Department that will detail "multiple referrals on a number of different crimes," including leaking classified information, as part of his investigation into misconduct at the Justice Department and the FBI.

"As of now, it’ll be one criminal referral but with multiple referrals on a number of different crimes," he told Breitbart News on Wednesday in an exclusive interview. "We will have some leakers in there for sure."

He said on the ending of the Special Counsel investigation, after it found the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia, "We knew this was a joke from the beginning, and I’ve said as much for a long time. Basically from the time our report came out, which has been a year. But now, the real work begins. It’s good to not have that sitting out there. But we have to now go on offense and track down all these dirty cops and bad players."

In addition, Nunes said he plans to interview about 50 people‐some who have never been called before Congress‐who were involved or know about the pushing of the "pee dossier" within various U.S. government agencies, and its use to get a surveillance warrant on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

Nunes‐who took a beating from mainstream news outlets for challenging the Russian collusion narrative‐wants to get to the bottom of how it all began, which he said was long before the FBI claims they officially began their investigation of the Trump campaign in late July 2016.

Accused ‘granny-kicker’s’ co-workers set him up for arrest
[NYPOST] Staffers at the highly acclaimed restaurant Frenchette knew they had the accused subway kicker in their midst — they just had to figure out how to keep him ’til cops arrived.
Obviously everybody liked him. Nobody could believe he dunnit.
Suspect Marc Gomez — who was caught on shocking video stomping an elderly female straphanger in the head on a Bronx train March 10 — worked as a dishwasher at the posh Tribeca eatery.
But he had his mind on bigger things. Like Sing Sing.
So after Gomez’s coworkers recognized him in the video footage released by cops Friday, someone at the restaurant “called the police immediately and gave them his name and address,’’ a Frenchette source told The Post on Monday.
"Hello?... Is dis da cops?... Lissen, dis is Mahmoud da Weasel..."
“We wanted to make sure we did everything the right way and he was picked up as quickly as possible,’’ said the source at the eatery, which was named a 2019 James Beard Award best-new-restaurant finalist.
"Thanks, Mahmoud! We owe ya one!"
“We thought the police would pick him up at home on Friday, but they couldn’t find him at his address, so detectives came to the restaurant on Saturday just after 9 a.m. to get him at work.”
"Open up in dere! Dis is da po-lice!"
"This is a restaurant. We're already open."
"Oh."

The source said that as employees waited for the cops to arrive, they were careful to play it cool with the unsuspecting Gomez.
"What're youse guys lookin' at?"
"Nothing, Gomez!"

“There were not many staff in the kitchen at that time, he was one of the first there, and we made sure not to spook him,’’ the source said.
"We replaced the bullets in his gun with unshelled peanuts!"

Florida man sucker punches public defender during court hearing
[NYPOST] A man facing a battery charge in Florida didn’t do himself any favors Wednesday when he slugged a public defender in the head during a court appearance.

William Green got out of his seat at the Broward County bond court, approached the lawyer ‐ who was looking down at papers ‐ and delivered the haymaker, which knocked her to the floor.

The sudden attack left everyone in the room in shock, video posted by WPLG shows.

A defendant who was at the podium ran out of the way as corrections officers tackled Green.

Judge Jackie Powell asked the stunned attorney if she was all right before calling a recess.

A front man for the Broward County public defender’s office said the lawyer was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

According to court records, Green, 27, was locked away

Attorney Mark Geragos, dropped from CNN, says 'lame-ass' outlet should be renamed 'Cut and Run Network'
[Washington Examiner] Mark Geragos, a camera-ready attorney linked to lawyer Michael Avenatti's alleged extortion plot, isn't leaving his CNN perch quietly.

Geragos, 61, made hundreds of appearances on CNN while working for the news organization. CNN dropped him after the Wall Street Journal reported Geragos was named a co-conspirator with Avenatti in a $20 million extortion attempt of Nike. Geragos wasn’t charged in the Avanatti complaint.

The Los Angeles-based legal analyst on Tuesday told a radio host CNN is a "lame-ass organization" that should change its name to "Cut and Run Network."

"I’ve been texted by all of their anchors who are as outraged as I am," Geragos said. "God forbid that I start telling some of the stories for how I’ve covered for that lame-ass organization."

Geragos claimed CNN bookers and anchors are eager for him to return to the network's airwaves. They're particularly interested in having him discuss the Jussie Smollett case, concerning a Chicago-based actor who allegedly engineered an assault against himself so he could call it a hate crime ‐ only to have the charges dropped after a plea agreement with his lawyers.
An absolutely stunning loss. Mark will be sorely missed.

Bangladesh mother has twins one month after first birth
[DAWN] A Bangladeshi mother has stunned doctors by giving birth to healthy twins 26 days after a first child was born prematurely.
Translation: she had triplets, with one born separately from — and earlier than — his siblings.
Arifa Sultana, 20, gave birth to a baby boy last month through normal delivery, but doctors missed the presence of a second uterus.

"She didn't realise she was still pregnant with the twins. Her waters broke again 26 days after the first baby was born and she rushed to us," Sheila Poddar, a gynaecologist who treated the woman, told AFP.

Podder carried out an emergency caesarean section to deliver the twins ‐ one boy and one girl ‐ last Friday.

The young woman from Jessore district in southwest Bangladesh was allowed to go home with her three healthy babies on Tuesday. Podder said there were no complications.

"I haven't seen any case like this in my 30-year plus medical career," Dilip Roy, chief government doctor in Jessore, told AFP.

Roy questioned the actions of Khulna Medical College Hospital doctors for not detecting the second pregnancy.

Hailing from a poor family, Sultana said she was happy with the three children but felt concerned how she would bring them up.

She told AFP her husband earns barely 6,000 taka ($70) a month as a labourer.

"I don't know how we will manage such a huge responsibility with this little amount."

Her husband Sumon Biswas put on a brave face.

"It was a miracle from [God] that all of my children are healthy. I will try my best to keep them happy," he said.

Alaska man can use hovercraft while moose hunting, Supreme Court says
[FoxNews] Justice’s on the nation’s highest court reportedly sided unanimously with an Alaskan moose hunter on Tuesday, overturning the rulings of lower courts in his battle with the National Park Service (NPS).

"We reverse the decision below and wish [John] Sturgeon good hunting," Justice Elena Kagan said in reading a summary of the decision.

The Supreme Court’s ruling stemmed from a 2007 incident when Sturgeon, of Anchorage, Alaska, made use of a hovercraft while hunting moose along the state’s Nation River, which runs in the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve, The Associated Press reported.

But Sturgeon was reportedly notified by multiple Park Service rangers at the time that using the hovercraft was unlawful. The agency had banned hovercraft in other states.

In siding with Sturgeon, the Supreme Court said the agency was wrong in prohibiting the use of an amphibious vehicle on a river through a national preserve.

In their decision, Justices cited the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act that in 1980 set aside 162,500 square miles of land for preservation purposes, the outlet said. The law reportedly created 10 new national parks, preserves and monuments but said agency rules would not apply on state or private land within the conservation units that are not federally owned.

More than 30 killed in Guatemala after truck ploughs into a crowd
[Aljazeera] At least 30 people were killed and several others injured in western Guatemala after they were hit by an articulated truck, local authorities and President Jimmy Morales said.

A group of people had gathered on the dark road at the site of an earlier hit-and-run accident, which had killed one person, when the truck struck them.

The truck was apparently travelling without its headlights on. The driver did not stop.

"With regret, I'm saddened by the tragedy which happened in the municipality of Nahuala, Solola, which has left more than 30 people dead in a traffic accident," Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales said in a tweet in Spanish.

Venezuelan opposition leader’s vehicle comes under attack
[ALMASDARNEWS] Opposition leader and self-proclaimed president of Venezuela Juan Guaido earlier in the day called on citizens to put maximum pressure on the Venezuelan authorities and force the government to resign.

The footage, released by VPI TV, shows Guaido’s car sitting at a traffic light when suddenly a man kicks it and then tries to open one of the vehicle’s doors.

After the man’s rush at the car, a group of bystanders then starts throwing something at the retreating car.

A vast cloud of smoke can also be seen just before the video abruptly ends.

‘All options on the table’ if the Russian military doesn’t leave Venezuela: Trump
[ALMASDARNEWS] US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
has warned that Russia must get out of Venezuela. Two planeloads of Russian troops are currently in the Latin American country under the terms of a 2001 cooperation treaty.

Speaking at the White House, Trump also warned that "all options are open" when it comes to getting Russia out of Venezuela.

Around 100 Russian troops touched down in Caracas on Saturday, a show of support for President Nicolas Maduro
Venezuela's attempt at producing a Muammar Qadaffy...
’s government. The move caused consternation in Washington, however, with Vice President Mike Pence calling the deployment an "unnecessary provocation."

Pence also called on Russia to withdraw its support of Maduro and "stand with Juan Guaido," the Washington-sponsored opposition leader who declared himself interim president in January.

Trump met with Guaido’s wife, Fabiana Rosales, on Wednesday, and pledged his support to her husband. After the momentum behind his play for the presidency fizzled out, Guaido has continued to criticize Maduro’s government, on Tuesday accusing the Venezuelan supremo of violating the country’s constitution by welcoming the Russian troops.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, meanwhile, insisted that the deployment was carried out "in strict accordance with the constitution of that country and with full respect for its legal norms."

Pompeo: N. Korea yet to make 'big move' toward denuclearization
[EN.YNA.CO.KR] U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday that North Korea has yet to make the "big move" toward dismantling its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs.

The top U.S. diplomat was asked at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing whether the North's weapons of mass destruction capabilities have increased or decreased since the first summit between President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
and North Korean leader Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
in June.

Pompeo responded that Pyongyang's suspension of nuclear and missile tests since late 2017 is a "good thing" as it reduces capability.

But the North, he said, has not taken the "big step" toward denuclearization since negotiations began a year ago.

"We have not yet seen them make the big move that we were frankly hoping that they would do in Hanoi," Pompeo said, referring to Trump and Kim's second summit last month, which collapsed without a deal.

Military options for denuclearizing North Korea
[WASHINGTONTIMES] After North Korea’s H-Bomb test in September 2017, some analysts, myself included, urged the White House to consider possible military options, using conventional surgical strikes to denuclearize North Korea quickly, while minimizing escalatory risks.

Decades of failed talks, and the failed Hanoi nuclear summit proves again, North Korea will not denuclearize peacefully.

Dictator Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
’s game is to buy time through pretend negotiations to build enough ICBMs so nuclear-armed North Korea, with a Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) relationship with the United States, becomes irreversible.

Economic sanctions designed to pressure North Korea’s denuclearization peacefully never worked, and are not working now. According to a recent United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
report obtained by the News Agency that Dare Not be Named, leaked in the UK Guardian (March 11, 2019):

"United Nations experts are investigating possible violations of UN sanctions on North Korea in about 20 countries, from alleged clandestine nuclear procurement in China to arms brokering in Syria and military cooperation with Iran, Libya and Sudan. The expert panel’s 66-page report to the security council also detailed the appearance in North Korea of a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Mercedes-Benz limousines and Lexus LX 570 all-wheel-drives in violation of a ban on luxury goods. And it noted a trend in North Korea’s evasion of financial sanctions by using cyberattacks to ’illegally force the transfer of funds from financial institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges.’"

Moreover, according to the UN report: "North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs remained intact and its leaders were dispersing missile assembly and testing facilities to prevent ’decapitation’ strikes."

Japan says it won’t develop ‘killer robots’
[NYPOST] Japan’s ambassador to the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
-backed Conference on Disarmament says his country has not developed fully autonomous weapons systems and has no plans to do so.

Nobushige Takamizawa spoke at Monday’s opening of the latest weeklong meeting of government experts in Geneva on the future of "Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems," also known as "Killer Robots."

Takamizawa’s comments have been widely anticipated in Japan, a country with highly sophisticated technological know-how and concerns about regional security threats ‐ notably North Korea, which in recent years has tested missiles by firing them over Japanese territory.

He mentioned "positive effects" of autonomous weapons systems under human oversight, such as saving labor and reducing collateral damage.

Opponents of fully automated systems fear that machines could one day conduct wars without human control.

Europe
Germany: First postwar kosher restaurant opens in Leipzig
[DW] Cafe Salomon is Leipzig's first kosher restaurant since World War II. The Saxon city, where tens of thousands of Jews were persecuted in the 1930s, now has one of the most active Jewish communities in central Germany.

Hummus, fried fish and matzo ball soup: Those are some of the things you can find on the menu at Cafe Salomon, Leipzig's first kosher restaurant since World War II.

"We are trying to close a gap in Leipzig," according to Gotthard Dittrich, head of the Rahn school in Leipzig near the restaurant. He spoke with the Leipziger Volkszeitung (LVZ) newspaper at the store's opening ceremony on Tuesday.

According to Cafe Salomon's owner, Jakob Kerzhner, kosher-abiding Jews could only have meals "at home," he told LVZ. Most restaurants prepare meat, fish and dairy products in a kitchen, which is prohibited under Kashrut, Judaism's dietary laws.

The restaurant does not serve meat, because according to Kashrut laws milk and meat products have to be served in separate kitchens ‐ too complicated and expensive a process for Cafe Salomon. However, fish is on the menu, as well as other vegetarian and vegan options.

India-Pakistan
Blasphemy case against seven ‘for burning holy pages’
[DAWN] Saddar police on Tuesday registered a blasphemy case against seven people, arresting one of them, after they were accused of burning pages of the Holy Koran at Hariher village, some six kilometres from here.

The case was lodged under Section 295-B of the Pakistain Penal Code against seven nominated suspects for allegedly burning the pages of the holy book near the village graveyard on Monday evening on the complaint of Muhammad Shakeel.

The locals tortured the suspects who were rescued and taken into custody by police.

District Police Officer Shahzad Asif, on being informed of the incident, involved the members of the district peace committee in the matter, who delivered speeches to calm down the enraged people and helped police in getting custody of the suspects from them.

According to the complainant, he was crossing the village graveyard along with two others -- Munir Ismail and Shabbir Sharif -- when he saw a fire on its other end.

He said they rushed to the spot and saw that the prime suspect was burning a large quantity of "holy pages". He said when they tried to stop the suspect, he snubbed them harshly.

The complainant said when they raised hue and cry, locals gathered there and started beating the suspect. He said the six others nominated in the FIR tried to rescue the prime suspect from the mob, saying he was burning the holy pages with their consent.

On being informed of the incident, the police arrived at the spot and tried to pacify the locals but the mob refused to handover the prime suspect to them.

Given the sensitivity of the situation, the DPO contacted some of the members of the district peace committee, including Maulana Shabbir Ahmed, and requested them to pacify the mob.

The Maulana, other members of the committee and coppers reached the spot and delivered speeches to convince the mob to handover the suspect to police. On being assured that justice would be done, the locals handed the prime suspect over to police.

According to a senior police official, who sought anonymity, the prime suspect belonged to a local religious family whose members have been collecting the wasted holy pages from the boxes they had installed at different places for their storage and disposing them of since long to avoid their desecration.

He said the whole episode might be a result of some misunderstanding and the police were probing it.

According to the DPO, the situation was "completely under control" and police were looking into the matter from various angles.

Husband and employees allegedly strip woman naked, beat her over refusal to dance for them
[DAWN] Police tossed in the clink
Into the paddy wagon wit' yez!
two men in Lahore on Wednesday for their alleged torture of one suspect's wife over her refusal to dance for them.
Little ethnic difference thing here. I never allow other men to torture my wife, a job I accomplish with practiced ease, a hot poker, a jury-rigged iron maiden, and an old pair of knuckle dusters that's been in my family for hundreds of years. We also try to keep our clothes on, so as not to scare animals.
According to a first information report registered on March 26, Asma Aziz's husband of four years and two of his employees tortured her over her refusal to dance for them. The Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

police in statement said the incident had taken place in the city's Defence Housing Authority area.

Asma, in a video circulating on social media, claimed that her husband had "always hit her a lot".

This time, she alleged, "He took my clothes off in front of his employees. The employees held me as he shaved my hair off and burned it. My clothes were bloody. I was bound by a pipe and hung from the fan. He threatened to hang me naked."

She said that when she went to the Kahna cop shoppe to register a complaint, "they asked me for money". She added that the police had, instead of providing her the FIR number or conducting a medical examination, asked her for money.

Superintendent Model Town Muhammd Ali Wasim took notice of Asma's allegations of police officials' involvement in trying to extort money from her. He asked the DSP Model Town to provide him a report after looking into the allegations.

She said that when she went to the Kahna cop shoppe to register a complaint, "they asked me for money".
She appealed to people for help, claiming that both her parents were dead and she had no place to go or food to eat.

In-charge Investigation at Kahna cop shoppe, Saleem Shaukat, told DawnNewsTV today that two of the suspects ─ the husband and one of his employees ─ had been arrested.

Punjab Inspector General of Police Amjad Javed Saleemi took notice of the incident and ordered a thorough investigation, directing DIG Investigation Dr Inam Waheed to personally investigate the matter and to make sure that the perpetrators of the attack are punished severely under the law.

After the news was reported, Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari tweeted that she had taken notice and looked into the case. "My office was informed by station house officer of cop shoppe Kahna, Lahore: Police has registered FIR and arrested both accused and booked under sections 337(v) and 506. Medical report of the woman is awaited. One of the arrested is her husband."

Pakistain ranks 150 out of 153 countries on The Georgetown Institute's Women, Peace and Security index ─ among the five worst countries for women in the world. According to 2016 data, 26.8 per cent of Pak women said they have experienced intimate partner violence.

Man who raped his two nieces sentenced to death by court in Rawalpindi
[DAWN] A sessions court in Rawalpindi on Wednesday sentenced a young man to death for subjecting his two minor nieces to rape and sexual abuse over the course of several months.

The convict, Iftikhar Ali, the brother of Pashto singer Nazia Iqbal, was tossed in the calaboose
I ain't sayin' nuttin' widdout me mout'piece!
in April last year over allegations he had sexually assaulted two of his sister's minor daughters.

After evidence and testimonies recorded proved the crime, Additional District and Sessions Judge Tahir Alam sentenced Ali to death and also imposed a fine of Rs0.6 million on him.

After his arrest, a case was registered against the convict under Section 376 (punishment of rape) and Section 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Pakistain Penal Code (PPC) at the Rawat cop shoppe.

Police had said at the time that the convict, who was then 19 years old, was reportedly caught red-handed by Iqbal while sexually abusing her daughter at her residence in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi.

In her statement before the police, the singer had stated that she was a mother of two sons and two daughters. The girls were 12 and eight years of age (at the time of the incident). Due to professional commitments, both she and her husband would mostly be away from home due to which she had called over her brother from Swat
...a valley and an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistain, located 99 mi from Islamabad. It is inhabited mostly by Pashto speakers. The place has gone steadily downhill since the days when Babe Ruth was the Sultan of Swat...
to look after the girls and ensure the safety of the home.

Iqbal had revealed that her daughters "would often complain to her that their uncle indulged in 'wrong acts' with them and would show them scary movies, threatening to kill them if they told anyone".

"One Sunday morning when I got up to prepare breakfast, I heard the cries of my younger daughter coming from the adjacent room. Upon entering the room, I discovered that her clothes had been taken off and my brother was sexually abusing her," she told police in April 2018.

Upon seeing this, she had immediately cried out in alarm following which the convict expeditiously departed at a goodly pace. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Then-station house officer Rawat Inspector Sheikh Khizr Hayat had said that Ali had confessed that he was unemployed and mostly remained at home and would often indulge in immoral acts with his nieces.

A victim of redundancy. Photo imaging, coverage, and dynamic system re-tasking have greatly improved. Other unmanned, 'non-air breather' systems have replaced it.
