Texas Judge Rules NRA Can't Use Bankruptcy to Dodge Lawfare
[Bloomberg] The National Rifle Association took what might have been the biggest legal gamble of its life and lost. Now, it faces a potential outcome that progressive U.S. politicians have long desired - a complete dismantling of the most powerful gun lobby.
Not exactly what is suggested further down - some poor choices in spending habits.
A Texas judge on Tuesday rejected the NRA’s attempt to file for bankruptcy, clearing the way for a fraud lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James to proceed. James has made no secret of her wish to dissolve the nonprofit organization, last year calling it "fraught with fraud and abuse." But a New York judge will have to decide whether her case has merit.
Not to mention whether her case would result in 'the complete dismantling' of the NRA.
A trial in New York is tentatively set for next year. The case isn't about gun rights, but claims that the NRA ripped off its members by squandering donated cash on luxury expenses.
A private club acting like a government worker?
The NRA said in a written statement that it remains determined to confront James. It also noted that it can still pursue establishing business operations in Texas, and the organization will continue to explore moving its headquarters there from Virginia. Texas is home to more than 400,000 NRA members.

They didn't have a lot of choice in the last election. Blake Stanley never had a chance in the primary.

They did have Leland Christensen and Tim Stubson to choose from in the 2016 primaries, but she outspent them by a lot.

De Blasio unveils massive expansion of NYC bike, bus lanes — with 'bike boulevard' in each borough
[NYDAILYNEWS] Dozens of miles of New York City streets will be redesigned by year’s end to improve safety for cyclists and speed up commutes for bus riders, Mayor de Blasio announced Tuesday.

Hizzoner said the city is on pace to install 30 new miles of protected bike lanes and five new "busways" — or streets where passenger car traffic is restricted — before he leaves office at the end of the year. If crews finish the work, it’ll mark the quickest expansion of bus and bike lanes during a calendar year in the city’s history.

"When we talk about recovery for all of us, it means everyone has to get around. It means we have to be safe," de Blasio said during a news conference. "A recovery for all of us means thinking about our future, and New York City is doing everything we can to break our dependence on fossil fuels."

The bike lane expansion includes the rollout of a new "bike boulevard" in each borough. Those areas — 21st St. in South Slope, Brooklyn; University Pl. in Greenwich Village, 39th Ave. in Sunnyside, Queens, Jackson Ave. in the Bronx and Netherland Ave. on Staten Island — will connect to other major bike lanes, and will come with a slate of safety improvements to disincentive car traffic and give cyclists more space, officials said.

The new busways will mirror one already in place along 14th St. in Manhattan, where passenger vehicle through traffic is banned most of the day. The same treatment will be given to stretches of Fifth Ave. in Manhattan, and Jamaica and Archer Aves. in Jamaica, Queens — adding to two other busways launched on 181st St. in upper Manhattan and Main St. in Flushing, Queens earlier this year.

Transportation Commissioner Hank Gutman said those new busways, along with 28 miles of other bus lane improvements coming in 2021, will speed up commutes for nearly 1 million straphangers.

The Morning Briefing: Everything Is Fine‐Biden Naps While World Falls Apart
[PJ] Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. I miss Magic Fingers beds.

I’ve been spending a lot of time making plans for my inevitable stay at the Harris-Biden-Fauci gulag. I like to plan ahead.

These past few months I’ve been convinced that I would be getting to the gulag sooner rather than later. I mean, this administration has expressed nothing but contempt for wrongthink people like myself.

The last couple of days, however, I’ve begun to think that the United States might not last long enough for our alleged president to send me anywhere. I’ve heard several variations of the "Wow, I knew things would be bad, but I didn’t expect them to go down the toilet this quickly" theme recently. Sure, we were aware that Grandpa Gropes didn’t have the mental capacity to be a capable pretend president but we were all kind of hoping he would be able to stay up past dinner time when there was important running the country stuff to do.

Oops.

More and more, it looks like this doddering fool will probably get us into a war and then never get out of his official presidential seal pajamas to see how it’s going.

The news this week (and let us remember it’s still early) has been teeming with bad tidings both domestically and abroad. We’re returning to Carter-era gas lines and the peace we enjoyed under President Trump is unraveling all over the world.

And Joe Biden needs to turn in early.

Whitmer Can't Hurt Michigan Enough, Threatens to Close Another Pipeline
[PJ] What is it about low gas prices that Democrats don’t like? On his first day in office Biden cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline and gas prices went up. A (likely Russian) group calling itself DarkSide hacked the Colonial pipeline, responsible for bringing 45% of fuel for the east coast, last week and prices went up. Now Michigan’s Dem. Governor Whitmer, (Hitmer to many), brilliantly threatened to close down a Canadian pipeline, owned by the Enbridge company, that runs through Michigan’s Straits of Mackinac, (pronounced Mack-in-awe). Just in time for summer. The first summer we’ve had in two years.

This seems an exceptionally stupid move from a governor everyone already hates, (remember when 6 men were arrested for planning to kidnap her over her insane pandemic response?). She inflicted two draconian lockdowns for her state. But not for her. She ignored her own advice and went to Florida three times. No one knows who paid for the private Gulfstream jet that took her to Florida the last time in March. The pipeline transports up to 540,000 gallons of liquid natural gas and light crude oil a day.

Whitmer sued Enbridge Energy in Ingham County Circuit Court. Enbridge counter sued in U.S. federal court, maintaining the decision should come down to the Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration. Whitmer is now trying to get the case back to Ingham. If successful, Whitmer can go after Enbridge Energy’s profits, roughly $1.4 million a day.

The National Wildlife Assoc. cheered Whitmer, as did the 12 Native American tribes that fear their fishing rights would be threatened if there was a break in the pipeline. Federal regulators declared the pipeline is safe.

Last year (2018), she flew from Washington D.C. to an asylum-seeker rest center in the border town of McAllen, Texas, where she helped by setting up a wishlist on Amazon with items needed by the shelter and then promoting the link to her social media following. In many ways, Natalie’s activism can be rooted in her upbringing, as she was raised as a first generation American in the border city of Brownsville. But it was her past experience on the Hillary for America Campaign, that deepened the drive behind her work. There, she created and implemented national programs like “Mujeres in Politics,” a bilingual program geared towards increasing Latina voter participation.

Chelsea Clinton Joins Her Mom To Demand Social Media Censorship
[TRENDINGPOLITICS] There can be no denying that the political left are an intolerant and authoritarian bunch. The Democratic party that represents it wants to cancel the rights of anyone who disagrees with them.

Showing that fascism
...a political system developed in Italy, symbolized by the Roman fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of people who have no idea what they're talking about...
is all in the family, Princess Chelsea Clinton has joined the calls for social media censorship. After all, it’s been a standard feature of her mother’s bitter Twitter diatribes since she was rejected by voters in the 2016 election.

The heir to the Clinton political dynasty joined the team effort to save Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run....
from an early humiliation by steamrolling any opposition to his stated goal of vaccinating 70 percent of the U.S. by July 4th.

A key aspect to meeting that critical benchmark is the banning of any dissenting views on the efficacy and safety of the experimental vaccines that were rushed into distribution. This is the only way of allowing Biden to declare victory over COVID

Last week, Clinton addressed a conference held by the Vatican. There she called for Democrat-aligned social media platforms to increase their already suffocating censorship, especially when it comes to "the jab" that Biden has staked his political capital on.

Reporters have to get quotes approved by White House before publishing
[NYPOST] White House news hounds are seething over a policy that requires them to submit quotes from interviews with Biden administration officials to the communications team for approval, editing or veto, according to a report on Tuesday.

The White House is demanding that news hounds who conduct interviews with administration officials do so under conditions known as "background with quote approval," Politico reported.

The information from the interview can be used in a story, but for a news hound to be able to attach a name to the quote, the news hound must transcribe the comments and send them to the communications team, the report said.

At that point, the White House can approve them, edit them or veto their use.

Entire Public School Board Freaks Out From Critical Race Theory Ban In Oklahoma
[DAILYCALLER] The entire Oklahoma City Board of Education denounced a law passed Friday that bans Critical Race Theory (CRT) in public schools, calling it "racist" and an "insult," numerous sources reported.

The eight-member school board said Monday that they worry House Bill 1775 will prevent accurate lessons involving race and history, according to The Oklahoman.

Ruth Veales, a board member, said the law was intended to "protect white fragility" and that the ban was an "insult" because the district has a large population of minority students.

"It is a situation that is so egregious to me," she said, according to The Oklahoman.

CRT holds that America is fundamentally racist, yet teaches students to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue "antiracism" through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies.

The bill prohibits public schools and universities from teaching that "one race or sex is inherently superior to another" or that someone is "inherently racist, sexist or oppressive" because of their race or sex.

Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt signed the bill Friday.

Numerous public and private schools implemented CRT and "antiracism" instruction in classrooms. The instruction often requires students and teachers to identify how they benefit from white privilege, and some districts have reportedly told teachers not to let parents stand in the way of such lessons.

Veales, the longest-serving member of the Oklahoma City school board, said she has experienced racism on the board each of the 12 years she has held office. Veales said board Chairperson Paula Lewis hasn’t gone far enough to facilitate difficult conversations on race during public board meetings.

Lewis apologized to Veales.

“I apologize to anybody in this district that I did not learn quick enough,” Lewis said. “I’m doing everything I can to catch up. I sincerely mean that, and I will continue to take action after action after action to make sure that diversity is our strength and that we protect it and we affirm it."

Democrats' HR1 election bill boosted by liberal dark money group financed by foreign national
[FoxNews] A liberal dark money group bankrolled by a Swiss foreign national is spending big on lobbying in favor of Democrats' election overhauls, including H.R. 1, filings show.

The Sixteen Thirty Fund, a fiscal sponsor and clearinghouse for dozens of left-wing groups and projects, has poured nearly $2 million into the efforts to sway senators on issues ranging from H.R.1 to D.C. statehood to the Voting Rights Act Amendment.

H.R. 1 is the largest overhaul of the U.S. election law in at least a generation and covers many aspects of the voting process, including requiring states to automatically register eligible voters and offer same-day voter registration. The bill also requires states to offer 15 days of early voting and allows no-excuse absentee balloting, which 14 states would have to implement and the states that already allow it would have to conform to H.R. 1’s standards.

As part of the efforts, the Sixteen Thirty Fund has spent $1.3 million on internal lobbyists to push the reforms while dishing out $480,000 to outside firm Keefe Singiser Partners between 2019 and 2020, according to disclosures. Maura Keefe, the former chief of staff for Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, heads up the shop. Over the past year, the Sixteen Thirty Fund also paid $100,000 to Kountoupes Denham Carr & Reid to advocate on democracy reform and election integrity, including H.R.1.

One of the lobbyists listed on the disclosure forms for Kountoupes Denham Carr & Reid is MJ Kenny, who worked for Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill., between 2010 and 2019 in multiple roles, including legislative correspondent and deputy floor director, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The New York Times revealed that Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, who in 2014 said he is not a U.S. citizen, is a significant financial backer of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which does not identify its donors. From 2016 to 2020, the foreign national directed $135 million into the fund, but it is unclear how his money was spent.

While the Sixteen Thirty Fund is primarily used to house nonprofits that are backed by secretive donors, the incubator was also used as an avenue to steer $55 million in anonymous cash into super PACs that backed President Biden's 2020 campaign.

The Sixteen Thirty Fund is part of a massive dark money network managed by D.C.-based consulting firm Arabella Advisors, which was founded by Eric Kesser, a former Bill Clinton appointee and member of the Clinton Global Initiative. In 2019, Arabella was paid nearly $34 million for administrative, operations and management services to manage the four funds in Arabella’s vast dark money network. In addition to Sixteen Thirty, Arabella manages the New Venture Fund, Hopewell Fund and Windward Fund.

The four Arabella-managed funds raked in $715 million in 2019. The funds house projects beneath them that include Demand Justice, Fix Our Senate, Demand Progress, and dozens of other groups. It also passed large sums to outside organizations such as the Center for American Progress, America Votes, Center for Popular Democracy, and Color of Change.

The network is used by some of the wealthiest progressive financiers in the country, including those in the Democracy Alliance, a group of deep-pocketed donors co-founded by liberal billionaire George Soros. Wyss was recruited to be a part of the secretive network, according to the New York Times.

During the 2018 midterms, the Hub Project, one of the Wyss groups under the umbrella of Sixteen Thirty and the New Venture, created "more than a dozen groups with anodyne-sounding names that planned to spend $30 million attacking Republican congressional candidates." The New York Times reported that the Hub Project has 60 employees, including organizers and researchers, who are paid by the two Arabella-managed nonprofits.

The Sixteen Thirty Fund did not respond to a request for comment.

Ted Cruz: Ilhan Omar Is ‘Acting as Press Secretary for Hamas'
[Breitbart] Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said Monday that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is “acting as the press secretary for Hamas,” the Palestinian terror organization, after she tweeted false information about recent clashes in Gaza.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who has even more extreme views than Rep. Omar about Israel, said Monday that the U.S. should not give billions of dollars in military aid to Israel, because of its alleged “racism and dehumanization.”

Omar sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and was recently promoted to a leadership position, despite her views.

#1  Ilhan lives in a World where some people have rights, but no obligations. Whereas others, have obligations (toward the first group) - but no rights.
The Palestinian problem will be solved when Israel will do to them 1% of that we're accused.

#2  No, no, no, she is all about love...especially her brother...false information, no, no, no, she is all about truth and the Somalian way. Islam, the religion of peace, Sisters Omar and Tlaib are only the messengers for America's adoption of the road to the sacred mountain for peace of all mankind. \sarc off
