#1 Actullay whatever the real motivations behind the XIXth century colonization it was sold to public opinion as intended to protect Blacks against all too real Muslim slave-taking raids. Colonial troops had many fights with slave-takers. That is another "Inconvenient Truth" for the philo-islamic left.

#2 About the Aztecs. Cortez never had more than one thousand men with him. Fra too few to encircle Tenocthtitlan's (aka Mexico City) lake, let alone provide reasonable security to his communication lines. This was provided by thousands of Tlazcaltecs thirsty of Aztec blood after seeing many of their brethren sacrified on Astec altars. Actually Aztec prisoners had to be guarded by Spaniards in order to prevent them fro being killed and eaten.

#3 Of course when the colony is one of Eastern European territories labeled "Peoples Democratic Republic of" or an ancient vassal state like ~~North Korea~~ Goguryeo, it's not 'colonialism'. Cause when the Left does it, it's not colonialism, it's just 'collectivism' on the large scale.
