BREAKING: NSC Official Testifies He Heard Nothing Illegal On Trump-Zelensky Call, Transcript Accurate
[Townhall] CBS News is reporting that Tim Morrison, the National Security Council's Senior Director for European Affairs, testified before Congress on Thursday that he heard nothing illegal on the phone call between President Donald J. Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Morrison also reportedly testified that the transcript released by the White House was accurate.

“I want to be clear, I was not concerned that anything illegal was discussed,” former NSC Senior Director for European Affairs Tim Morrison testified today, according to Sean Davis.

"My recollection is that Ambassador Sondland’s proposal to [Ukrainian National Security Advisor Andriy] Yermak was that it could be sufficient if the new Ukrainian prosecutor general — not President Zelensky — would commit to pursue the Burisma investigation, Morrison testified according to the Federalist.

“I am pleased our process gave the president the confidence he needed to approve the release of the security sector assistance,” he added. “I am proud of what I have been able, in some small way, to help the Trump administration accomplish."

Twitter To Ban All Political Advertising
Does that mean Trump's account won't be allowed to post messages ? I don't understand. How does it work for the incumbent ?
[BBC] Twitter is to ban all political advertising worldwide, saying that the reach of such messages "should be earned, not bought".
And when you can't earn it, or buy it... have it banned !
"While internet advertising is incredibly powerful and very effective for commercial advertisers, that power brings significant risks to politics," company CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted.
Chiefly, that leaders we don't like should gain more followers and reach more voters.
Social media rival Facebook recently ruled out a ban on political ads.

News of the ban divided America's political camps for the 2020 election.

Brad Parscale, manager of President Donald Trump's re-election campaign, said the ban was "yet another attempt by the left to silence Trump and conservatives".

But Bill Russo, spokesman for the campaign to elect Democratic front-runner Joe Biden, said: "When faced with a choice between ad dollars and the integrity of our democracy, it is encouraging that, for once, revenue did not win out."

Reacting to the move, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg defended his company's policy.

"In a democracy, I don't think it's right for private companies to censor politicians or the news," he said during a conference call with journalists.

Twitter's ban will be enforced from 22 November, with full details released by 15 November.

#4  Jpal, try to picture this. I was told this story by an officer present there.

While crossing from the Nepal border, a bunch of burqa-ed women were caught by border police. They had to stand straight while the woman guards patted them down. One guard kept coming up against something springy jutting out from the front of a particularly shifty burqa. She tried to pat it a few times, and it only grew more pronounced.

The game was up.

Cooking fire on Paki train takes 71 lives
MULTAN, Pakistan (AP) ‐ A massive fire caused by a cooking gas stove erupted Thursday on a train traveling in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province, killing at least 71 passengers, officials said.

Flames roared through the train cars as the train approached the town of Liaquatpur in Punjab, they said, the latest tragedy to hit Pakistan’s dilapidated, poorly maintained and mismanaged rail system.

Survivors recounted horrific scenes of fellow passengers screaming as they jumped through the windows and off the train, flames billowing from the carriages.

"We could hear people crying and screaming for help," said Chaudhry Shujaat who had boarded the train just a few hours earlier with his wife and two children. "I thought we would die. The next car was on fire. We felt so helpless."

Deputy Commissioner Jamil Ahmed said the fire broke out when a gas stove exploded as breakfast was being prepared on board. He added that the death toll had risen steadily since the early morning.

Kaleem Ullah, an official with the district emergency services, says of the 43 people injured, 11 were still in critical condition.

Several of the injured had jumped off the train ‐ many to their deaths ‐ after the fire broke out and before it eventually screeched to a halt, said Ahmed.

Brailes in Warwickshire woman finds Yank bomber wing-tip gear in garden
[Air Force Times] A wing tip gear door from a B-52 Stratofortress bomber fell off during a training mission over Brailes, England, Oct. 23 and landed in a local woman’s garden, the Air Force confirmed.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. The Gloucestershire Live website reported Tuesday that the woman, who wished to remain anonymous, called it a "miracle" that she was not injured and her house was not damaged when the part fell at about 5:30 p.m. that day.

The Air Force has now launched a safety investigation to find out what caused the mishap, said Master Sgt. Renae Pittman, a spokeswoman for U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa.

The B-52 is part of the bomber task force, from the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, which deployed to RAF Fairford in England Oct. 10.

The local Shipston on Stour Police Safer Neighbourhood Team posted an image of the part on their Facebook page.

Starship - The Journey Begins
[Twitter]

retired Starship hopper on the left, 1/2 of second stage of Starship 1 test article on the right. By nightfall it was on the launch platform. Today, Halloween, the top half of the second stage might be moved. Then the wings and stuff. I am guessing a month or so of pressurization and fueling test (Hopper had about 4 months) then a test flight of the 2nd stage before the end of the year. A point of context is that the USAF considers this a virtual rocket and refused bids on it for USAF work. The USAF considers Vulcan and OmegA which are still mainly paper and no visible testing to be the Real rockets. Heh!

A late edit. Looks like the top half will not move today. See photo of the highway below:

#1  First stage will not show up until the 4th or 5th test article. The second stage might even make it to single empty stage in orbit by that time. (If they can do major weight reduction by 4th or 5th test stage.) Note most rocket's second stages are about the size of the truck in the front of the photo and this is only 1/2 the second stage.

Why Is Vindman a War Hero but Flynn a Traitor?
The coup and cover-up to take down a duly elected POTUS continues in the House.
[American Thinker] The network coverage of the testimony of National Security Council staffer Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman as a "bombshell" and "damning" was laughable and dishonest, implying that his service to his country wearing its uniform made him a credible and unbiased witness without a political agenda. Particularly egregious were the comments of NBC News anchor Lester Holt, who equated wartime courage with peacetime candor. As Newsbusters noted:

After a report on the California wildfires, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt told viewers "[t]here was dramatic testimony in the House impeachment investigation by a decorated war hero who works on the National Security Council and was among those who heard that phone call between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart."

Except that others on the call between President Trump and Ukrainian President, including those who were charged with producing a transcript, don’t quite remember the call the way Vindman does. Certainly both participants on the call both said there was no pressure for Ukraine to "dig up dirt" on former Vice President Joe Biden. As for the quid pro quo, we now know the Ukrainians didn’t learn until August military aid had been delayed. The phone call was in July. It’s hard to have a quid pro quo when the party being extorted is not told about the alleged quo. So just what was Vindman’s problem with the call?

In his opening statement, Vindman says he came forward because he "did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen." Yet when pressed to explain where in the phone call transcript any demand was made, he lapsed into psychobabble about Ukrainian President Zelensky inferring a demand because of Trump’s more powerful position in the world. As Fox News reported:

Vindman voiced concerns about the investigation request during his interview Tuesday, but was also questioned over his statement that it was not "proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen."

A source told Fox News that Vindman struggled for several minutes when asked to point to Trump’s language in the transcript that backed up the claim that it was a demand. Vindman later stated that Trump was the party with the most power, or "superior," so the "whole thing [call] was a demand asking for a favor."

What? So why did Zelensky say he felt no pressure? Vindman’s testimony comes close to being as much of a fable about the call as was House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s opening statement before his committee making up what he claimed Trump meant and what Zelensky understood.

Certainly 33-year military veteran Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was not treated with the same deference when he became the focus of the deep state coup attempting to keep Donald Trump out of the White House. He served his country with genuine honor and distinction He served both in Iraq and Afghanistan both for the Central Command and the Joint Special Operations Command which included units like Seal Team 6. President Obama appointed him director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, where he served until he fell out of favor for his criticism of President Obama precipitously withdrawing from Iraq, which created a vacuum the Islamic State rose to fill, with Obama doing nothing as he watched it grow except dismiss it as the "JV team."

Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell, has filed a motion to dismiss the charges against him based on indications that the FBI altered his 302s, essentially written reports based on witness interviews, to make him look guilty, and leaking information on Flynn’s calls to the Washington Post. As reported by RedState:

Powell alleges a set-up of Flynn including that the FBI 302s related to Flynn were edited. A 302 is the form the FBI uses to reflect what a witness says during an interview. Powell’s filing also suggests that Office of Net Assessment’s James Baker illegally leaked the transcripts of Flynn’s calls to David Ignatius of the Washington Post. And Powell is specifically looking for the phone records of James Clapper to see about his contacts with Ignatius, including that he essentially told Ignatius to "take the kill shot on Flynn."

Powell’s brief alleges that Flynn was essentially railroaded and set up and that the prosecution has withheld exculpatory evidence that should have gotten the case thrown out a long time ago. As the Federalist reports:

...Powell’s 37-page brief pivots between showcasing the prosecution’s penchant for withholding evidence and exposing significant new evidence the defense team uncovered that establishes a concerted effort to entrap Flynn. Along the way, Powell drops half-a-dozen problems with Flynn’s plea and an equal number of justifications for outright dismissal of the criminal charges against Flynn.

What is most striking, though, is the timeline Powell pieced together from publicly reported text messages withheld from the defense team and excerpts from documents still sealed from public view. The sequence Powell lays out shows that a team of "high-ranking FBI officials orchestrated an ambush-interview of the new president’s National Security Advisor, not for the purpose of discovering any evidence of criminal activity --they already had tapes of all the relevant conversations about which they questioned Mr. Flynn --but for the purpose of trapping him into making statements they could allege as false."

This is a genuine bombshell involving a plot to overturn an election and one does not have to resort to agenda-driven psychobabble to figure it out. Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn is a war hero who was loyal to the truth, his country and his President. When he is exonerated and asks where he can go to get his reputation back, I would suggest he start at the office of NBC’s Lester Holt.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
US secrecy on Baghdadi raid exposes distrust of NATO ally Turkey
[France24] Islamic State (IS) group chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was found and killed over the weekend in northern Syria just a few miles from the Turkish border in a US raid that evaded the Turkey’s Incirlik base, in a sign of the increasing distrust between US and Turkish militaries.
Kinda exactly like the lack of trust in the Paks during the Abottabad attack
The compound where Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was targeted early Sunday is located near the village of Barisha in northwestern Syria barely three miles from the Turkish border in Idlib, a province that has come to be known as "the last refuge of Syrian rebels" resisting President Bashar al-Assad’s forces.

But it was an odd last refuge for the self-styled "caliph" of the IS group ‐ one that underscores the conflicting interests of the players, and their backers, in the Syrian war. While the international community has welcomed Baghdadi’s killing, his location and the manner in which the US raid was planned and executed highlights the security threats that still dog the region and beyond.

Barisha village lies in a zone marked "rebel control" on Syrian battle maps, and is where an estimated three million people, mostly civilians, coexist with a witch’s brew of jihadist groups, including al Qaeda’s Syrian branch and a number of allied or warring factions. Most of them are mortal rivals of the IS group.

Turkey has about a dozen military observation posts in Idlib that monitor the rebel area, where the Turkish-backed rebel Free Syrian Army ‐ now confusingly called the National Syrian Army (NSA) ‐ also operate.

Ankara has emerged as a guarantor of sorts for the Idlib pocket, after Turkey negotiated a ceasefire with Russia and Iran in May under the Astana process. The deal saw the establishment of a buffer zone, which Turkey wanted, to protect Idlib residents from Assad’s offensive.

In return, Turkey was required to remove all jihadist groups, including al Qaeda affiliates and breakaway groups, from the province.

#1  It would seem the raid was begun in Israel, followed the Med offshore, then turned into Syria. Thus the notification of Russia which has radar operating from Tartus. If we had trusted Turkey it could have begun from Incirlik.

#3  Trump and Putin tried to be friends. They still share a nonchalant camaraderie. But while Russia is Putin, Trump is not America. The collusion scandal when it began, looked to me like a desperate way to distance the American president from Russia forever, by a deepState haunted by McCarthy's ghost.

Then they saw a coup in it and went for the jugular. It never looked like a well thought out scam anyway, more like a script written on-set. Trump had to posture for no reason in Venezuela for some time and you were once again officially at odds with them.

But that's just one perspective, considering the effects and not means of things.

Afghanistan
Report says CIA-trained Afghan forces behind war atrocities
ISLAMABAD (AP) ‐ Heavily armed men burst into the home in the middle of night, hustling four brothers into separate rooms, their hands bound. Afghan special forces then shot them in the head and heart. The operation, the CIA-trained Afghan unit said, targeted Islamic State militants in a remote region of eastern Nangarhar Province.

In reality, the raid took place in the province’s capital of Jalalabad, within earshot of Justice Ministry offices. In an interview with The Associated Press, the family said the dead brothers included a school teacher and an assistant to a member of Afghanistan’s parliament. The truth of their deaths was eventually revealed by local and international media and the country’s intelligence chief, Masoom Stanikzai, was forced to resign.

But that’s not enough, says Human Rights Watch in a new report released Thursday documenting what it says are mounting atrocities by U.S.-backed Afghan special forces and rising civilian deaths by both American and Afghan forces. It calls for an investigation into whether the U.S. has committed war crimes in Afghanistan.

The report says U.S.-led peace talks to end the 18-year-old war have omitted addressing the fate of the Afghan special forces that work "as part of the covert operations of the Central Intelligence Agency." The report suggests either disbanding them or bringing them under the control of the Defense Ministry.

"These troops include Afghan strike forces who have been responsible for extrajudicial executions and enforced disappearances, indiscriminate airstrikes, attacks on medical facilities, and other violations of international humanitarian law, or the laws of war," it says.

Speaking with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity, several Afghan, Taliban and U.S. officials, including some who are involved in trying to resuscitate peace talks, said the Taliban won’t agree to reduce attacks without a reduction in violence from the U.S. and Afghan side.

President Donald Trump ended negotiations with the Taliban over what he said was the insurgents’ unacceptable level of violence.

According to HRW and several U.N. reports, Afghan special operations units are now partly responsible for rising civilian deaths and rights abuses. They operate with seeming impunity under Afghanistan’s intelligence agency, the National Security Directorate, and hold nondescript names like Unit 01 or Khost Protection Forces.

HRW’s report, the culmination of a nearly two-year investigation, documented instances of families terrorized by night raids, summary executions and disappearances of people, some of whom are never heard from again. In preparing the report, researchers interviewed 39 Afghans directly impacted by offenses and several witnesses in nine different provinces.

The report tells of raids in Zurmat in eastern Paktia Province. Witnesses said Afghan and U.S. strike forces blew open the door of one home and shot dead four men as the family watched. In a second house, three shopkeepers and a guest, all home for a holiday, were shot and killed, said a witness. In a third incident in Zurmat, a religious teacher and two construction workers were killed.

Quoting the Afghanistan Analysts Network, an independent research organization, the report said the three brothers operated a shop in the center of the city of Ghazni.

In southern Kandahar province in March, an Afghan strike force arrived in Panjwai in the night and took away two men. One has not been heard from since. A few weeks later in a nearby village, witnesses said a 60-year-old school principal was shot and killed by the strike force after separating him from the women in his household. The body was left in the courtyard.

The incidents prompted demonstrations by local residents who complained to researchers: "Why are we always being killed by them? What’s our mistake?"

Human Rights Watch shared its findings with both the U.S. and Afghan authorities.

Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot plan to create world's No.4 carmaker
MILAN/PARIS (Reuters) - Fiat Chrysler (FCHA.MI) and Peugeot owner PSA (PEUP.PA) plan to join forces through a 50-50 share swap to create the world’s fourth-largest automaker, they said on Thursday, triggering a new wave of consolidation in the car industry.

Fiat Chrysler (FCA) and PSA said they aimed to reach a binding deal to create a $50 billion company domiciled in the Netherlands, with listings in Paris, Milan and New York and with PSA’s Carlos Tavares as CEO and FCA’s John Elkann as chairman.

The move comes less than five months after FCA abandoned merger talks with PSA’s French rival Renault (RENA.PA) and would give both companies the scale to help manage a global downturn in auto markets as well as costly investments in new technologies such as electric and self-driving vehicles.

FCA would get access to PSA’s more modern vehicle platforms, helping it to meet tough new emissions rules, while Europe-focused PSA would benefit from FCA’s profitable U.S. business.

Breaking: Ethics Complaint Filed Against Adam Schiff
[RedState] On Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced that the House would be voting on a resolution that was going to guarantee transparency and rules in the ’impeachment’ proceeding which Democrats have been pushing.

But Democrats were still up to their old tricks on Wednesday, locking people out of proceedings. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) was told the secret proceedings would continue.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is now taking action.

He’s filed an ethics complaint after the Star Chamber leader, House Intel Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-CA). Normally, actual impeachment proceedings would proceed out of the Judiciary Committee, which would have been under that Chair, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY). But Pelosi delegated it to Schiff instead, another break from precedent and proper procedure.

Gaetz’s complaint alleges that Schiff’s handling of the proceedings has been full of unethical actions, including "distorting @POTUS ’s call with President Zelensky, lying to the public about ’Russian collusion’, and blocking members of Congress from attending impeachment depositions,"

Paleontologists trace orgins of modern humans to Botswana
h/t Instapundit
The earliest ancestors of anatomically modern humans, Homo sapiens sapiens, emerged in southern Africa, according to a new study published this week in the journal Nature.

"It has been clear for some time that anatomically modern humans appeared in Africa roughly 200 thousand years ago," lead researcher Vanessa Hayes, a professor of human genomics at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Australia, said in a news release. "What has been long debated is the exact location of this emergence and subsequent dispersal of our earliest ancestors."
And the first thing that this modern human said was "Hang aan ń tak"?

The Kalahari is right on the border of Botswana and South Africa. I would place heavy odds on the Bushmen of the Kalahari being the closest current link to the first modern Homo-sapien sapiens.

There are some rock paintings in that desert that have been estimated to be over 120,000 years old. When the Bushmen were asked what the represented they were able to describe the ritual/dance and preform it for the anthropologists! Not sure any other culture could do the same with even 2000 year old drawings.

The relationship between testosterone therapy and prostate cancer continues to challenge historic and current beliefs. A new cohort analysis revealed a ~33% reduction in prostate cancer incidence in men with increased testosterone use. The mechanisms underlying this protective effect are unclear, but these findings challenge current paradigms and warrant further investigation.

Not everyone buys this theory. Another theory is that PC is the result if imbalances between male and female hormones. The theory that seems to make the most sense is that PC is the result of certain inherited genetic defects. There are other theories as well. About 16% of males are likely to get PC. Treatment involves surgery, radiation and/or drugs/chemo. Gene therapy and immunotherapy, are recent areas of development.

When you lost Obama
h/t Instapundit
[PJMedia.] If you've been paying attention for the past 12 years or so, you may have noticed that Barack Obama tends to contradict himself. He'll say one thing at one point, and then at another point he'll say the complete opposite. And both times he really means it! I don't know how much of it is intentional and how much is just his own lack of self-awareness, but I call it Past Obama vs. Present Obama.

Here's Present Obama just yesterday, good-naturedly but firmly scolding Past Obama about wokeness and callout culture:
"This idea of purity, and you're never compromised, and you're always politically 'woke' and all that stuff, you should get over that quickly. The world is messy. There are ambiguities. People who do really good stuff have flaws. People who you are fighting may love their kids and share certain things with you. And I think one danger I see among young people, particularly on college campuses... and this is accelerated by social media, there is this sense sometimes of, 'The way of me making change is to be as judgmental as possible about other people, and that's enough.' Like, if I tweet or hashtag about how you didn't do something right, or used the wrong verb... then I can sit back and feel pretty good about myself. 'Cause man, you see how woke I was? I called you out... That's not activism. That's not bringing about change. If all you're doing is casting stones, you're probably not going to get that far."
"If you don't leave the peasants any illusions they'll stop producing, and then what will happen to us?"

Schiff and Pelosi Try to Hold the Nation Hostage
Victory Girls via Instapundit by "Athena Hera Sinistra"
Our nation is being held hostage. Not by terrorists. Not by a foreign nation. No, it is being held hostage by the likes of Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi and their accomplices in the House of Representatives as they once again try to reset the narrative of the Trump presidency. For two days, we heard rumblings that Thursday would be the day the House finally voted to endorse impeachment proceedings against the president. Now, and it really shouldn’t surprise anyone, they’ve changed their tune. The vote isn’t going to be endorsing the proceedings. Oh no. All they’re going to do is decide how to hold the public hearings. The real question,‐and one the mainstream media isn’t asking‐is why the change?

There are any number of possible answers. The Dems want to keep the talk of impeachment front and center during the election season. They are so inept they can’t figure out how to hold the hearings. Or, my personal favorite, what the witnesses have been telling them is far from what has been leaked to the media. In other words, they know they don’t have enough evidence to impeach the president but they are so deep into their own fantasy world that they can’t admit they’ve failed, even to themselves.

This would certain explain why Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, "is reportedly telling witnesses testifying not to answer questions asked by Republican lawmakers."

Israel-Jordan Crisis Emboldens Anti-Peace Camp In Kingdom
Catching up on a story that didn’t seem meaningful until now. Idiots regularly wander across various borders over there (an Israeli was picked up crossing into Jordon recently, Hamas is holding several mentally handicapped Israelis who go back every time they’re released, for reasons unknown, and Egypt has returned several Israelis who forgot to remove that last bullet from their luggage after their annual IDF Reserves training before heading off to see the pyramids), without it being particularly noteworthy.
[Jpost] Jordan’s decision to recall its ambassador to Israel in protest against the detention of two Jordanian citizens came in the context of the kingdom’s effort to fend off widespread criticism over its handling of the case.

The decision, announced on Tuesday by Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, is also another sign of mounting tensions between Jordan and Israel, 25 years after the two countries signed a "Treaty of Peace" in the Arava Valley.

The Jordanian ambassador, Ghassan al-Majali, arrived on Wednesday in Amman, where he is scheduled to hold consultations with senior government officials about the crisis with Israel.

U.S. airports will soon begin turning away flyers without upgraded ID
Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A major security change at U.S. airports that can prevent passengers from boarding their flights is less than a year away.

The upgrade is part of a federal law passed in 2005 that calls for a more secure form of ID for the tens of millions of flyers in the United States each year,

Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, all U.S. air travelers will be required to present identification compliant with the Real ID Act. The program has been gradually rolled out on a state-by-state basis over the last 14 years, but hasn't yet been federally mandated for all states. That will change a year from now.

The law establishes a new set of minimum security standards for state-issued driver's licenses and ID cards -- based on a recommendation by the 9/11 Commission in 2004. Beginning next October, travelers will not be able to board any domestic flight without an upgraded Real ID card -- denoted by a star in the upper right corner.

#5  Actually, passports may be obtainable for the 1 million+ illegals who've stolen Social Security #s from citizens. Just depends on how well maintained are State's databases for those who've suffered identity theft. I wouldn't assume they're well maintained and completely accurate in this area.

#7  The mess that will create at airport will be ruinous as most people won't be prepared and will freak when turned away. This will cause the Feds to push back the date of compliance giving everyone another month or two to get their ID.

Also a compliance date of OCT is as stupid as you can get as you'll cause a fuss throughout the holidays. A compliance date of Feb/March on the other hand allows you to bombard the holiday travelers with last chance notes.

#8  The Real ID deadline has never been a secret. The states that said "it would cost too much" were told that wasn't an excuse. There have been deadline extensions already. Those of us with Real ID say "Your lack of planning does not constitute a crisis on our part."

#11  I'm not saying it's the fault of individuals necessarily. It most certainly is the fault of every state that resisted implementing Real ID on a timely basis. Yes, it's going to cause problems at the airport just like the people who bring their stuff to the post office and think packing supplies are free at the counter. I see it all the time. Such people really don't deserve anyone's sympathy. The disruption can be minimized by not letting people without Real ID inside the terminal to begin with. Harsh if it derails someone's holiday? Afraid so.

Teen mom found murdered after robbing an Alabama hotel with her boyfriend
[MAIL] The teen who was found murdered after she allegedly robbed an Alabama hotel with her boyfriend told a friend she was scared of him and wanted to come home after he assaulted her.

Baylee Wall, 18, was found dead in Cincinatti, Ohio, on October 23 after two days on the run from police who claimed she helped her 25-year-old boyfriend Gary Eubanks Jr rob the Microtel Inn in Daphne, Alabama, on October 21.

Authorities are still searching for Eubanks Jr, who is reportedly being treated as a person of interest in Baylee's murder.

The slain teen's stepfather, Steven Tillman, told Fox Cincinnati that she and Eubanks Jr began dating in August 2019 and that she had recently sent a photo to her friend showing her with a busted lip.

Tillman said that his stepdaughter told the friend she was 'scared [and] wanting to come home'.

He expressed shock over the idea that Baylee, who lived in Hurley, Mississippi and was the mother of a two-year-old girl, would be involved with someone violent and that she would participate in an armed robbery.

'I still can't believe it. I really can't on either issue,' Tillman said. 'That's not how she was raised. That's not how she was.'

He added: 'She was a very outgoing person. Loved to laugh and you know, just your typical 18-year-old girl.'

VA. Gov. Northam Received Planned Parenthood Talking Points Hours After He Defended Infanticide
[Free Beacon] Virginia governor Ralph Northam received Planned Parenthood talking points just hours after he told a radio station that doctors should be able to deny life-saving care to abortion survivors, according to newly released documents.

A Planned Parenthood employee who previously worked as a Northam aide reached out to the Democratic governor's office shortly after his botched interview with a local radio station. She included several talking points to help sell the Northam-backed late-term abortion bill.

"Let's set the record straight: There is no such thing as an abortion up until birth," Planned Parenthood's Alexsis Rodgers said in an email to several Northam staffers shortly after the Jan. 30 interview. "The idea that this bill somehow allows a woman to have an abortion up to or as she gives birth is flat-out untrue‐it's simply not how medical care works, and it's frankly irresponsible to imply that it is."

The emails to Northam's office illustrate the rapid damage control campaign pro-choice activists employed to defend the bill in the wake of the governor's comments. The documents were released by government watchdog Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Rodgers's message had the subject "Topline messages for Northam" and featured personalized instructions for Northam to address abortion "as a physician." Rodgers was Northam's policy director when he was lieutenant governor, although she now works for the National Domestic Workers Alliance. Her message was forwarded to Virginia's deputy secretary of health and human resources Gena Berger.

The email was sent in the aftermath of Northam's now-infamous radio interview about how doctors should treat infants born alive during an abortion procedure.

'Disgusting': CNN employees 'in shock' WarnerMedia hired Morgan Freeman after sexual harassment allegations
[Washington Examiner] WarnerMedia executives caused some consternation among CNN employees with the decision to hire actor Morgan Freeman to narrate a presentation to investors.

WarnerMedia is CNN’s parent company, and employees from both organizations attended a presentation to WarnerMedia investors on Tuesday, according to Variety. The presentation opened with a video narrated by the famous actor.

The company's decision to hire Freeman for the gig comes after several CNN reporters wrote a 2018 article about eight women who alleged the 82-year-old actor harassed them or engaged in inappropriate conduct.

"It's disgusting," one CNN employee told Variety. "So many of us were scratching our heads in shock, wondering how something like this could even happen."

"Of all the millions of people they could have hired, why him?" another asked.

No CNN employees agreed to speak on the record out of fear of their employer punishing them.

"I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex. Any suggestion that I did so is completely false," Freeman said in a statement amid backlash from the allegations last year.

Turkey sees YPG withdrawal incomplete; joint Russian patrols to start Friday
[AlAhram] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
has information that the Kurdish YPG militia has not completed its withdrawal to 30 km (18.64 miles) from the Ottoman Turkish border in northeast Syria, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday, despite assurances from Russia that they had left.

He told politicians from his AK Party that Turkey reserved the right to launch another operation against the YPG in the area.

Ankara and Moscow had agreed to remove Kurdish YPG fighters from a depth of 30 km south of the border inside Syria by late on Tuesday and Russia told Turkey that the YPG had left the strip within the 150-hour deadline.

"Even though the information in our hands suggests this has not been succeeded in a full sense, we will give our response to them after our field assessments," he said.

Joint patrols had been set to begin on Tuesday at a depth of 10 km, but Erdogan said in Wednesday's speech that the patrols would begin on Friday and at a depth of just 7 km.
It will be interesting to see whether the dynamic is different than that of recent joint U.S.-Turkey patrols.
"If we see that the members of the terrorist organization have not been moved out of the 30 km, or if attacks continue, no matter from where, we reserve our right to carry out our own operation," he said.

Earlier, Defence Minister Hulusi Akar was quoted by state-owned Anadolu Agency as saying that talks between Ottoman Turkish and Russian officials, ongoing since Monday, had concluded and the two delegations had "largely" reached an agreement.

throughout the country, adding the group was planning an attack.

Police Chief Mehmet Aktas says the suspects were detained in 26 raids across 21 provinces. They were allegedly preparing for a possible attack to coincide with Tuesday’s celebrations marking the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Ottoman Turkish Republic.

Turkey has stepped up security following IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s death in a US military raid in Syria earlier this week.
A number of other countries have stepped up security in anticipation of ISIS lashing out locally as well.
Police on Monday detained 20 foreign nationals suspected of IS links in a security sweep in Ankara.

How about we don't sexualise and objectify women at all, regardless of their nationalities?
[TWITTER]
That's about a dumb idea. Reducing women to nothing but objects of lust is stoopid, as bad an idea as keeping them hidden away under burkas and using them as breeding stock. On the other hand, women like looking sexy, and men like looking at them. If men didn't look, they'd be disappointed, and we wouldn't want that, would we? Much of the problem of the Islamic world has to do with men's sexual frustration, never seeing a pretty face or the sway of a lovely pair of hips. Our western society today is hypersexualized, Islamic society is the opposite (hyposexualized?) A happy medium would be nice.

Protests in Iraq and Lebanon Pose a Challenge to Iran
[AnNahar] The day after anti-government protests erupted in Iraq, Iranian Gen. Qassim Soleimani flew into Baghdad late at night and took a helicopter to the heavily fortified Green Zone, where he surprised a group of top security officials by chairing a meeting in place of the prime minister.

The arrival of Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds Force and the architect of its regional security apparatus, signaled Tehran's concern over the protests, which had erupted across the capital and in Iraq's Shiite heartland, and included calls for Iran

Florida Man Attacks Man In MAGA Hat: ‘Go Back To Russia, You F*Cking Communist!
[REDSTATE] Matthias Ajple clearly has some issues. Not to mention a problem with basic facts.

According to Newsweek, Ajple, 43, went up to a man, 67 year old Robert Youngblood, who was wearing a MAGA hat at a bar at the Hurricane Grill restaurant in Vero Beach, Florida.

According to what Youngblood told the police, Ajple said, "You should go back to Russia, you f*cking Communist!"

He then slapped the bill of Youngblood’s hat and spat on him.

Ajple left the restaurant but not before Youngblood was able to get his license plate number. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office was called and others with Youngblood confirmed the attack to deputies. Video from the restaurant also showed what had occurred, according to the affidavit of the manager.

Police were able to track down Ajple and get a statement from both him and his wife.

His wife said as a joke she had told Ajple to tell Youngblood go back to Russia, but that she didn’t see what came next.

Ajple’s statement to the police is an example of utter delusion.

"I was just trying to protect you guys because I support law enforcement," he claimed. "Trump supporters are communist and racist." He seemed to brag about his actions, "I don’t even care that I’m going to jail, this is actually exciting, plus I have more time on this earth than he does anyway, he probably feels so good about himself."

He was arrested, charged with battery and then released on a $500 bond.

SocialTools.FM and the NEW Social Toolbar PRO

Owners of Daddy Design, Ryan Steinhardt and Hunter Ecklund have joined forces with Zachary Van Doren (Founder of ZVD Media) and Matthias Ajple (Founder of AMR Networks) to launch SocialTools.FM.

Over 2 years ago, Daddy Design launched Social Toolbar as a WordPress plugin and since that time we saw huge demand for a persistent web toolbar that both seamlessly integrated with the look and feel of a website and that was lightweight and quick in terms of load times. There was nothing out there we felt did the job on both ends and so we decided to built it ourselves.

Since that time we saw a greater need among our clients for the development of a number of social and marketing web tools, that helped website owners build deeper connections between their website and their social channels, in terms of content, sharing and overall community. It was out of that greater need that we decided to launch SocialTools.FM, with our first product being a completely re-engineered update of Social Toolbar PRO.

Leftists Rage After Donald Trump Posts Photoshopped Image Honoring Hero Dog
[Breitbart] Anti-Trump leftists reacted negatively on Twitter Wednesday to President Trump’s tweet of a photoshopped image honoring the hero dog that chased Islamic State (ISIS) founder and leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, into a tunnel.

Trump tweeted an obviously photoshopped image depicting him honoring the dog, whose photo was released on Tuesday.

"AMERICAN HERO!" Trump wrote alongside the photoshopped image:

However, Trump’s decision to tweet the image, reportedly created by Daily Wire, prompted some to fact-check the obviously doctored image.

"I’ve requested details from the @WhiteHouse on this photo. There was no such canine event on today’s @POTUS schedule but there is a Medal of Honor ceremony set here for later today for an active duty Green Beret," Voice of America White House bureau chief Steve Herman wrote:

Hundreds of migrants in Libya flee detention, cite hunger
[AlAhram] Hundreds of migrants colonists have fled a detention center in coastal Libya and crowded overnight around a UN facility, saying they were denied food for weeks.
*sigh* The problem with voluntarily entering an active war zone is that the grocery situation tends to be non-existent — especially for impoverished non-participants.
Around 450 people left Abu Salim detention center late Tuesday. One of the migrants colonists, as well as activists, say they were forced to beg for money from families to pay police to buy them food. Those who couldn't pay went hungry.

The migrant spoke Wednesday on condition of anonymity, fearing for his safety. They walked about 90 minutes through the city of Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
, according to Tarik Lamloum, a Libyan activist.

The UN refugee agency says the facility is already overcrowded, with about half the 800 people inside arriving informally, including many from another detention center that was hit last summer by an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
...and more than the grocery situation is uninterested in nobodies that nobody sent.

UAE announces return of troops from Aden following successful liberation, hands over control to Saudi, Yemeni forces: Statement
[AlAhram] General Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi announced on Wednesday the return of UAE troops after successfully liberating Aden governorate, according to a statement published by the state news agency WAM.

Both the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces and the Minister of State for Defence Affairs received the Aden-based troops after they had completed the process of handing over control to Saudi and Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
i forces, who will now maintain its security and stability as per a strategy to guarantee the preserving of military gains.

The statement said that the forces returning from Aden governorate in southern Yemen had liberated the governorate from both the Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
s and terrorist actors on 17 July 2015.

UAE forces will resume jointly with their allies fighting terrorist organizations in other southern Yemeni governorates, the statement added.

The statement concluded by emphasising the commitment of the UAE Armed Forces to the Arab Coalition’s goal of protecting the interests of the people of Yemen.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Damascus calls on Kurdish forces to join regime army, police
[IsraelTimes] Syria’s army and police call on Kurdish fighters and security forces in northeast Syria to join their ranks following a Ottoman Turkish cross-border incursion, state media says.

The appeal comes after regime troops deployed along parts of Syria’s northeastern border in a deal with Kurdish authorities to help stave off the Ottoman Turkish offensive, launched October 9.

It is the largest Syrian army deployment in the area since 2012.

A separate ceasefire agreement reached between Ankara and Damascus-backer Moscow last week provided for members of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces to withdraw from the border and solidified the presence of pro-government forces there.

"The general command of the armed forces is ready to welcome members of SDF units who are willing to join its ranks," says a Syrian defense ministry statement carried by state news agency SANA. It says all Syrians, including the Kurdish minority, are confronting "one enemy."
OMG!!! Hardened troops, trained by America’s best, bringing modern American weapons with them??? Come to Papa, my darlings, come!”
Syria’s interior ministry says it is willing to provide police services to residents of the northeast, calling on members of the Kurdish internal security services, known as Asayish, to join its ranks, SANA reports.

The Ottoman Turkish military and its Syrian proxies attacked Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria in early October with the aim of creating a roughly 30-kilometer (20-mile) deep buffer zone along the frontier. Left in the lurch by a US troop withdrawal from the border area, Kurdish forces turned to the Syrian government for protection.

Steny Hoyer Won’t Commit to Floor Vote on Impeachment Proceedings
[BREITBART] House Majority Whip the mealy-mouthed Steny StinkyHoyer
...Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi's second banana, or plaintain, or mango, or whatever he is. Number Two, anyway...
(D-MD) has signaled he will not commit to House Democrats voting this week to formalize their secret impeachment inquiry, even after House Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments...
(D-CA) said a vote is expected to take place on Thursday.

"We’re going to have to consider whether or not it’s ready to go on Thursday. I hope that’s the case," Hoyer told news hounds on Tuesday when asked about the planned vote.

The House announced Monday that it will move Thursday to determine whether to establish impeachment inquiry procedures into President Trump. The text of the resolution was not immediately released, but House Rule Committee Chairman Jim McGovern (D-MA) said it would "provide a clear path forward" on the impeachment inquiry.

"This is the right thing to do for the institution and the American people," said McGovern.

Pelosi stated in a letter Monday that the resolution was not legally necessary but the House decided to take the vote "to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives."

#3  Ref #2: Ditto! Pelosi is an aged 'dead man walking.' The far left and Deep State are awaiting the big die off. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan aka 'The Squad' are the future of the democratic party.

The Soetoro beta test was highly successful. He nearly destroyed conservatism and the nation single handedly. The Hildebeest would have finished the job. The left's strategy of identity politics, urban clustering of illegals and minorities is paying off. Additional 'squads' will be added.

This is a multi-pronged effort. The war against the Orange Man is just one aspect or front. As is often said here, 'we live in interesting times.'

US, Gulf allies sanction Hezbollah-Iran network
[IsraelTimes] The United States and six Gulf allies announce sanctions on 25 entities associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Leb’s Hezbollah, in a move to tighten controls on both groups’ finances.

The sanctions are set by Riyadh-based Terrorist Financing Targeting Center, a two-year-old group that includes Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
and the United Arab Emirates in addition to the United States.

They target companies supporting the Basij Resistance Force, a subordinate group of the Revolutionary Guard, that the US Treasury says are used "to oppress domestic opposition with brutal displays of violence" and supply fighters to regional conflicts.

Among the 25 is Iranian Bank Mellat and mining, manufacturing and investment firms that allegedly support the Basij.

Four of those listed are individuals running Hezbollah’s operations in Iraq, the Treasury says.

All 25 have previously been named in US Treasury sanctions announced in 2018.

"The TFTC’s coordinated disruption of the financial networks used by the Iranian regime to fund terrorism is a powerful demonstration of Gulf unity," says US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in a statement. "This action demonstrates the unified position of the Gulf nations and the United States that Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
will not be allowed to escalate its malign activity in the region," says Mnuchin, addressing a business forum in Riyadh today.

North Korean malware found on Indian nuclear plant's network
[ZDNET] The network of one of India's nuclear power plants was infected with malware created by North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
's state-sponsored hackers, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) confirmed today.

News that the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) might have been infected with a dangerous strain of malware first surfaced on Twitter on Monday.

Pukhraj Singh, a former security analyst for India's National Technical Research Organization (NTRO), pointed out that a recent VirusTotal upload was actually linked to a malware infection at the KNPP.

The particular malware sample included hardcoded credentials for KNPP's internal network, suggesting the malware was specifically compiled to spread and operate inside the power plant's IT network.

Several security researchers identified the malware as a version of Dtrack, a backdoor trojan developed by the Lazarus Group, North Korea's elite hacking unit.

Singh's tweet and revelation immediately went viral because just days before, the same power plant had an unexpected shutdown of one of its reactors -- with many users conflating the two unrelated incidents as one.

Initially, KNPP officials denied that they've suffered any malware infection, issuing a statement to describe the tweets as "false information," and that a cyber-attack on the power plant was "not possible."

[BREITBART] Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
condemned the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday for passing a bill recognizing the Armenian Genocide and condemning the Ottoman Turkish government for executing it, calling the bill "worthless."

The House passed the bill in tandem with a bill urging sanctions on Erdogan’s government for its invasion of Syria, intended to displace indigenous Kurdish populations and replace them with mostly Arab refugees.

The Ottoman Turkish government has consistently refused to recognize the genocide of Armenian, Assyrian, and Greek people that took place in 1915, considered the first genocide of modern history. Erdogan referred to the genocide as "reasonable" in a speech in April.

According to the independent Ottoman Turkish exile outlet Ahval, Erdogan said The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor...
did not "recognize" the House bill in remarks Wednesday.

"This step taken has no value. And we do not recognise it. We see such an accusation as the greatest insult made to our nation," Erdogan reportedly said, describing America as "a country whose history is filled with stains of genocide, slavery and exploitation," without elaborating.

Agence La Belle France-Presse (AFP) translated Erdogan’s remark as dismissing the bill as "worthless."

Bangladesh
RAB arrests two suspected JMB members in Dhaka
[Dhaka Tribune] Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested two suspected members of banned holy warrior outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh
The JMB is said to be the youth front of Al Mujahideen, the parent organization that began working toward establishing Bangladesh as an Islamic state in the mid 1990s, which remains obscure and probably defunct today. Other organizations, such as Jama'atul Jihad, JMB, Jagrata Muslim Janata Bangladesh (JMJB), Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI), Hizbut Tawhid, Tawhidi Janata, Islami Jubo Shangha, Islami Shangha, Al Falah A'am Unnayan Shanstha and Shahadat-e al Hiqma are believed to be part of the Al Mujahideen network. The JMB at its peak was reported to contain at least 100,000 members, and an alleged 2,000-man suicide brigade, few of whom actually exploded. JMB allegedly received financial assistance from individual donors in Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Libya. Reports have claimed that funding of JMB by international NGOs like Kuwait based Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage (RIHS) and Doulatul Kuwait, Saudi Arabia based Al Haramaine Islamic Institute and Rabita Al Alam Al Islami, Qatar Charitable Society and UAE-based Al Fuzaira and Khairul Ansar Al Khairia. The top leadership of JMB was captured in 2005 and hung in 2007, which pretty much shot their bolt.
(JMB).

They were arrested from Mirpur's Rupnagar area of Dhaka early Wednesday.
“Stick ‘em up, boys, and come quietly, or we shall be forced to have an encounter.”
“Aieee! Not an encounter! We’ll come quietly, we will. Aieee.”
“Aieee! Quietly, yes. Aieeeeee!”
The arrestees are Shahjalal, 30, and Shamim, 28, from Barisal and Munshiganj.

RAB legal and media wing Senior Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan said: "They are active members of JMB."

"We are questioning them and will soon take legal action."
“Sergeant Rafiq, send out for tea and biscuits, and a barrel of #4 mustache wax. It’s going to br a long night.”
RAB 4 Senior ASP Sajedul Islam Sajal said: "They were on their way to Cox’s Bazar to recruit Rohingyas for JMB."
...illegals doing the jobs good bad Bangladeshis won’t do...
"Earlier, they managed to include some Rohingyas in their group."
This explains the poor quality of miscreants they’ve been seeing recently. You get what you pay for, I always say.
However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the ASP did not reveal the name of Rohingyas, allegedly involved with JMB.
Yup. They vanished as if they had never been. Shipman could have told you.
RAB also recovered arms,
...the hands were stored elsewhere...
bully boy books and leaflets from their possession.

Life imprisonment handed to film director Mansoor Mujahid, accomplice for 2013 Faisal Nabi murder
[DAWN] A sessions court in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
sentenced film director Mansoor Mujahid and his friend Anab Hameed to life imprisonment for the murder of their friend Faisal Nabi.

The court also ordered both convicts to pay Rs200,000 each to Nabi's heirs as compensation. The court kept the case as dormant against a third accused Masooma Zainab Abidi ‐ who is absconding and was charged for abetting ‐ until her arrest or surrender. The verdict was announced on Tuesday evening.

Nabi was rubbed out in an apartment in Karachi's Defence Housing Authority in 2013. The prosecution said that Mujahid and his friends were consuming party drugs at Hameed's apartment when a heated argument broke out between the victim and the director, who shot Nabi.

The prosecution said that Mujahid, with common intention and consultation with Hameed and Abidi, had used an unlicensed weapon to shoot Nabi. The court was further told that after shooting the victim, both convicts and Abidi dumped Nabi's body ‐ after stabbing and burning it in order to hide the identify of the dear departed ‐ in the parking lot of the apartment building.

Mujahid and Hameed were indicted for Nabi's murder in 2014. The prosecution informed the court that during the investigation by an inquiry officer, Mujahid had confessed to shooting Nabi twice, while Hameed admitted that she had stabbed the victim and led the police to a place where the body, pistol, daggers, blood-stained pillow and bedcovers were found.

The prosecution said that during the investigation, Hameed had said that Nabi had assaulted her a few days before the murder and that she had written about the incident in her diary that was read by Mujahid.

Ann Coulter: LTC Vindman - He's a One-Man Ukrainian Lobby!
BLUF:
[Coulter at Breitbart] It would be bad enough if Col. Vindman’s policy disagreement with the president had to do with U.S. policy on Mexico or North Korea. But it was about the country where Col. Vindman was born.

We’re always told that Democrats don’t have to prove wrongdoing by Trump ‐ for example, under the emoluments clause, in his foreign policy negotiations, or when he fired his FBI director. Rather, it’s claimed that Trump’s conduct creates the appearance of impropriety.

Well, having a Ukrainian-born analyst butt in to ensure U.S. foreign aid flows effortlessly to the country of his birth gives the appearance that he’s concerned about fairness to Ukraine. That’s not what this is supposed to be about. It’s supposed to be about what’s in the best interests of the United States.

Worse, Vindman was dealing with the U.S.’s Ukrainian policy versus Russia, which Ukrainians hate because Stalin murdered millions of them. It’s like having an Armenian advise on whether we should be hostile to Turkey.
It’s queerer than that: according to The Times of Israel, the good colonel is a Jewish Ukrainian-American. In general, Jewish Ukrainians are not fond of the olde sod, steeped as it long has been in Joo-hatred. Certainly that was how my father thought of nearby Latvia, his birth country.
This is not the usual dual loyalty claim insultingly attributed to Irish or Jewish Americans who were born in this country. Lots of us have admixtures of other nationalities.

But when you were actually born in another country and that’s the precise policy matter you’re sticking your nose into, people are going to wonder if it’s really our national interests you’re looking out for.

I cannot for a moment believe he was simply overlooked by what was previously referred to as Hostile Intelligence Services (HOIS). Now simply referred to as Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS).

Palestinian woman tries to stab Israeli troops in Hebron, is shot – police
[Jpost] A female terrorist approached a member of the Border Police with a knife at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Wednesday morning and attempted to carry out a stabbing attack.

The Police Spokesperson's Unit reported that the terrorist approached the officer and was questioned. After retrieving a knife from her bag, a stand-off occurred with coppers who rushed to the scene.

Only when she charged toward the police was the terrorist neutralized after a police officer opened fire. She was then evacuated to Jerusalem's Sha'are Tzedek hospital at death's door.

Police reported that the terrorist is in her 30's and a resident of Idhna, a Paleostinian town in the southern West Bank located 13 km. from Hebron.

There were no civilian or police injuries reported. This is the 15th attempted stabbing attack at the Cave of the Patriarchs since the beginning of the year, police stated.

The area around the Cave of the Patriarchs was closed off and security was heightened.

Bangladesh
War crime verdict against Azhar Thursday
[Dhaka Tribune] The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on war criminal and former Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam, in his death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
appeal, on October 31.

The case has been kept at the top of the cause-list of the Appellate Division for Thursday, as seen on Wednesday.

On January 28, 2015, Azharul filed his appeal challenging the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) verdict that sentenced him to death.

Earlier on June 18, a four-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, started hearing arguments on the appeal from both the state and the defense.

However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
the bench completed the hearing and deferred the matter as a Case Awaiting Verdict (CAV) on July 10.

On December 30, 2014, ICT-1 sentenced Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
Assistant Secretary General ATM Azharul Islam to death for his war crimes. The tribunal found him guilty in five of the six charges against him.

Azhar, with Jamaat and Chhatra Sangha activists, collaborated with the Pakistain Army and attacked villages in Rangpur on April 17, 1971.

They torched and looted houses and killed over 1,200 Hindus. Another 200 Hindus were held and later killed at an undisclosed location. The incident is said to be the single biggest act of genocide in the war.

RAB detains Samrat’s business partner in Bhola
[Dhaka Tribune] The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained an associate of expelled Jubo League
... the youth wing of the Bangla Awami League...
leader Ismail Hossain Samrat
...Oooh, a three-namer! He must be important...
from the Ilish Ferry Ghat in Bhola Sadar upazila
...if you go down to the last file cabinet in the second sub-basement at the local RAB headquarters, you’ll find a 3:1 map of the upazilla, folded up small. When you unfold it — take it outside on a windless, sunny day or you will undo all the work that went into making the thing, about which certain parties will not be even slightly amused — the location of Ilish Ferry Ghat will be immediately apparent....
on Wednesday.

The detained, Zakir Hossain
...clearly a putz of a two-namer, but at least his parents could afford the second one...
, 45, was Samrat’s business partner.

RAB also recovered a pistol, four rounds of bullet, four bottles of liquor, two mobile phones, and Tk1,160 from the scene.
Score! Usually it’s three round of bullet and a shutter gun, nothing more. Sergeant Siddique’s evidence room must be full to bursting for him to put out like that.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhola model cop shoppe, Enayet Hossain, told the Dhaka Tribune: "Acting on a tipoff,
*Ring, ring* “Mahmoud the Weasel here. I have a tipoff for the boys.”
RAB-8 conducted a drive in the area and arrested Zakir when he was trying to flee the area."
“There he goes, boys! The first one to catch him gets an extra biscuit with his tea while polishing the rounds of bullet in the evidence room.”
“On it, Sarge.”
“On it, Sarge.”
“Meeee — that biscuit is mine! Coming through, boys, I want that biscuit!”
Zakir, from Shantinagar, Dhaka,
...he was led astray by the fancy girls and pretty boys of the big city...
was in hiding for 10 days at his grandfather-in-law’s house after Samrat’s arrest, the OC added.
He shared the crawlspace under the veranda with a goodly collection of the local snakes and mongooses, so it wasn’t a restful situation. He was honestly happy to be caught, poor man.
RAB has filed two separate cases with Bhola model cop shoppe in this connection, one under the Arms Act 1878 and the other under Narcotics Control Act 1990.
*Blink* That’s a heckuva time range. The Arms Act 1878 must be a pip if it’s still in use.
ARREST OF CASINO KINGPIN SAMRAT
RAB arrested Samrat and his accomplice Arman from Comilla’s Chauddagram upazila on October 6.
A business partner and a henchman? When did our illustrious three-namer have time to sleep?
A mobile court, led by RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam, sentenced Samrat to six months in prison under the Wildlife Conservation Act 2012, after they recovered two kangaroo hides from his Kakrail office.
Good lord. The RAB has a dedicated court on wheels now? It makes sense, I suppose — they were up to fourteen RAB units the last time we looked in on them, and expanding rapidly. Everyone wanted an RAB of their very own, with their cool sunglasses and efficient handling of miscreants of all sorts, including river pirates.
He was then sent to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj.

Jerry Brown Blames Trump, Republicans for California Fires: ‘The Blood Is on Your Soul’
[BREITBART] Former Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Governor Jerry Governor Moonbeam Brown
...Caliphornia dynastic politician, son of former governor Pat If it's Brown flush it Brown, himself occupying the Seat of All Power in Sacramento for two undistinguished terms...
told Congress on Tuesday that President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
and the Republican Party were responsible for the ongoing California fires because of their opposition to drastic climate change policies.

"California’s burning while the deniers make a joke out of the standards that protect us all," Brown told the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, as quoted by the the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
Chronicle. "The blood is on your soul here and I hope you wake up. Because this is not politics, this is life, this is morality. ... This is real."

Brown was testifying against efforts by the Trump administration to rescind California’s waiver that previously allowed it to set its own emissions standards for vehicles ‐ effectively giving the state control of the entire auto industry. The administration argues that California’s policy is actually worse for the environment because higher standards make new cars ‐ which are more energy-efficient than old cars ‐ more difficult for consumers to buy.

The ongoing California wildfires have a variety of causes. The immediate cause of the Getty Fire in Los Angeles, for example, appears to be a tree branch that was blown by high winds into power lines, according to the Los Angeles Times. Critics fault California and its utility companies for spending money on complying with "green" initiatives rather than on burying power lines. Others also cite homeless camps, where past fires have started, and poor forestry management policies that have barred the clearing of brush that can provide fuel for wildfires.

But Brown and other Democrats have identified climate change as the cuplrit, even though there is no scientific evidence to support that claim. In 2015 and in 2017, Brown also blamed climate change for wildfires in California, though scientists disagreed, calling Brown’s arguments an example of "noble-cause corruption."

California Democrats are facing new criticism at home, as utility companies have begun cutting power to electricity customers in peak fire conditions ‐ a new practice for which the state government seems to have been unprepared.

#16  Gray David(D), Arnold Schwarzenegger (?), Jerry Brown(D) and Gavin Newsom(D) also get some blame as the problem was there even if the piles of money weren't. They could have and should have done something but preferred to pass the buck and wag their fingers.

Also you can see Californi's problem in that list. We used to trade off between parties so one could undo the excesses of the other but Wilson really didn't do much, and Arnold was a Republican but not really and he faced a solid Dem State Senate so he was useless. After that it was Democrat after Democrat and now the balance is long gone and the state be unfixable.

#18  Gov Gavin Newsom is beginning to feel the heat of these fires because of anger over the blackouts to prevent fires.
The governor blamed the electric utilities for the cause of the fires and PG&E was driven into bankruptcy from 30 billion in legal claims.
Running high tension power lines through a forest is risky business.
Blame rural electrification (a liberal agenda)?
Or blame environmentalist because they don't allow clear cutting around power lines or
because green power requires distant generation sources so California has to bring in power from out of state.
Paradise built their town in the middle of a beautiful forest in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains
where logging was banned decades ago and fire fighting has prevented natural clearing of underbrush
and you get the Camp Fire tinder box where 85 people were burned to death because they could not get out of the forest in time.
Now there are a lot of causes that have nothing to do with global warming.
The Santa Ana winds have been around long before there was global warming.
The resultant fires were only a problem because those who couldn't afford to live in the city started to build in the foothills around Los Angeles when a run down house on a 50 ft by a 100 ft lot costs over half a million dollars.
Jerry Brown is trying to CYA for Gavin Newsom because in 2003 Dem Gray Davis was recalled and replaced by Arnold Schwarzenegger
because he failed to keep the lights on during the California electricity crisis.
The environmentalist were trying to promote green energy and prevent the building of new carbon based power plants.
Because California let energy lobbyists write legislation that required utility companies to make up the production shortfall by buying on the spot market
companies like Enron were able to game the system by creating artificial shortfalls by taking power plants offline during peak demand causing the wholesale spot market prices would soar.
Please, reference the California electricity crisis
At the same time legislation capped the retail rates CA utility companies could charge its customers.
So PG&E went bankrupt and SCE almost went bankrupt
(Enron's greed caused it to overspeculate on high energy prices.
Five months after PG&E bankruptcy the 9/11 attacks occurred and energy prices immediately declined.
Enron was overleveraged but tried to cook the books so it took three months for investors to figure that Enron was bankrupt.)
During high demand the utility companies would just introduce rolling blackouts to cap peak demands
rather than be blackmailed by high spot market prices from the greedy out of state suppliers.
Gov Gray Davis declared a state of emergency but never solved the problem
because he was beholden to those who wanted a crisis to fulfill their agenda (agendas that sound a lot like current crop of presidential candidates green agendas).
So Gray Davis was recalled just like Jimmy Carter because he let the Arabs blackmail us over a barrel of oil.
Bankrupt and regulated utility companies do not invest in infrastructure so power lines will sage and fail and cause fires in the future.
Corruption causes more corruption and a downward spiral like Venezuela.
Corrupt people protect themselves by blaming others.
Hugo Chavez blamed president Bush.
Democrats blamed Bush for Katrina so we got Barack Obama.
Now Gov Brown blames Trump for global warming and California fires.
So impeach Trump to stop global warming and fires??
Or will we end up with a bankrupt nation like California which is on the verge of bankruptcy in a booming economy if we give in to the Left wing?
If the Democrats win I would invest in long extension cords and good fire insurance!

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
More Californians Forced To Run Extension Cords To Neighboring States
[Babylon Bee] CALIFORNIA‐Deprived of luxuries like power and freedom, more and more Californians are being forced to run extension cords over to their neighbors in adjacent states.

A caravan of migrant Californians was seen traversing the deserts separating the state from its eastern neighbors, towing hundreds of miles' worth of extension cords.

Californians knocked on random Nevada and Arizona residents' doors and asked if they could borrow some power to charge their cellphones, power their espresso machines, and run their tanning beds. They were surprised to discover how nice people were in other states, saying things like, "Sure, neighbor!" and "No problem. Do you want to borrow any guns or cactuses?"

Unfortunately, the increased power demand caused the power grids in Arizona and Nevada to get knocked out, so they had to run extension cords over to New Mexico and Utah, respectively. Then their power got knocked out, and their neighbors' power, and so on and so on until all the states on the East Coast were forced to run extension cords over to Europe, but they were electrocuted to death because of the water hazard.

Californians are now looking for an alternative energy source, such as rubbing balloons on hipsters' beards.

I got to leave work early that day, after shutting down all the computers in the computer room before the battery backup ran out of juice.

'Whistleblower' May Be Outed: Ties to Biden, Ukraine, Brennan, Schiff's Staff, Etc
Also submitted by Beavis and 3dc. :-) This article is an amalgamation of key bits from the much longer original at the link. It should be noted, though, that a trusted source mentioned that it is rumoured the gentleman described below is merely a decoy to distract attention from the real whistleblower. No doubt we will discover the truth of it all soon enough, President Trump having displayed a fondness for sunshine.
[RealClearInvestigations] For a town that leaks like a sieve, Washington has done an astonishingly effective job keeping from the American public the name of the anonymous "whistleblower" who triggered impeachment proceedings against President Trump; even though his identity is an open secret inside the Beltway.

- Registered Democrat
- Worked for Obama
- Worked with Joe Biden
- Worked for CIA Director John Brennan
- Vocal critic of Trump
- Helped initiate the Russia "collusion" investigation hoax

33-year-old Eric Anthony Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia "collusion" investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.

Eric Ciaramella, a class of 2004 Connecticut prep student: He later moved on to Yale and the White House. Now he could be at the center of an impeachment storm.

Also, Ciaramella huddled for “guidance” with the staff of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, including former colleagues also held over from the Obama era whom Schiff’s office had recently recruited from the NSC. (Schiff is the lead prosecutor in the impeachment inquiry.)

Ciaramella worked with a Democratic National Committee operative who dug up dirt on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, inviting her into the White House for meetings, former White House colleagues said. The operative, Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton.

Also, engaged Alexandra Chalupa, DNC oppo researcher was invited to the Obama White House by Ciaramella.

She visited the White House with a number of Ukrainian officials lobbying the Obama administration for aid for Ukraine.

Federal records show that Biden’s office invited Ciaramella to an October 2016 state luncheon the vice president hosted for Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Other guests included Brennan, as well as then-FBI Director James Comey and then-National Intelligence Director James Clapper.

Several U.S. officials told RealClearInvestigations that the invitation that was extended to Ciaramella, a relatively low-level GS-13

He was held over into the Trump administration, and headed the Ukraine desk at the NSC, eventually transitioning into the West Wing, until June 2017. "He was moved over to the front office" to temporarily fill a vacancy, said a former White House official, where he "saw everything, read everything."

Eric Ciaramella (pronounced char-a-MEL-ah) left his National Security Council posting in the White House's West Wing in mid-2017 amid concerns about negative leaks to the media. He has since returned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

“He was accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump,” said a former NSC official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.

Ciaramella left the Trump White House soon after Mueller was appointed. Attempts to reach Ciaramella were unsuccessful, although his father said in a phone interview from Hartford, where he is a bank executive, that he doubted his son was the whistleblower.

In May 2017, Ciaramella went "outside his chain of command," according to a former NSC co-worker, to send an email alerting another agency that Trump happened to hold a meeting with Russian diplomats in the Oval Office the day after firing Comey, who led the Trump-Russia investigation. The email also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin had phoned the president a week earlier.

Contents of the email appear to have ended up in the media, which reported Trump boasted to the Russian officials about firing Comey, whom he allegedly called "crazy, a real nut job."

In effect, Ciaramella helped generate the "Putin fired Comey" narrative, according to the research dossier making the rounds in Congress, a copy of which was obtained by RealClearInvestigations.

Ciaramella allegedly argued that "President Putin suggested that President Trump fire Comey," the report said.

If it turns out Eric Ciaramella is Schiftie's informant, people ought to know that Billionaire Clinton donor Victor Pinchuk sent MP Bielkova to meet with him same day she met with David Kramer and kicked Steele Dossier operation into high gear. ie "Whistleblower" = Dossier 2.0.

As others have noted, Ciaramella linked to Nuland (who promoted Steele reports throughout State Dept. to influence 2016 election). This email directly related to Biden threatening to withhold Billion dollar loan guarantee (If not mistaken). Same timeframe as Pinchuk sponsored mtg

#8  ^ #6 devastating web, Dron. It's mind-boggling that McMaster allowed this traitorous little shut to be his top personal aide . Did Ciaramella really have access, via McMaster, to all of Trump's conversations with foreign leaders?

Unbelievable. If true, then this little shit is the messenger boy at the center of the coup effort.

The ties to Clinton hatchet man and Steele Shitshow PR man Sid Blumenthal, to Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Pinchuk and to the rabidly anti-Russian Dept conspirator and troublemaker Victoria Nuland are especially interesting. Also the tie to Italy's Matteo Renzi and the CIA cats paw, the Maltese agent operating out of Rome, Joseph Milsud, who tried to entrap Papadopolous and turn him against Trump.

Burisma is the tip of the iceberg. The conspiracy here leads back to Hillary's campaign and Obama's CIA and State Dept people, and it involves foreign agents drawn from countries across Europe-- Ukrainians, Italians, Brits, a Maltese, Australians.

No wonder Barr flew to Europe for his investigation.

This little weasel Ciaramella was just one of many leakers but he was connected to everyone.

Thank God we outed him as early as we did. If these people were not so clownishly, blatantly, astonishingly incompetent -- cf Sid Blumenthal's history of beclowning himself as a Clinton shill, or Nuland's disastrous efforts in Ukraine, or Biden's Burisma Bro's, to take three egregious examples -- if these people weren't such clowns, they'd be terrifying.

As it is, they're just barkers, ringmasters and clown car drivers in the Shitshow of Shitshows.

But now we need to bring their Shitshow to an end. Bring down the tent. Never again. Before a truly competent cabal actually does pull off a coup and end our Republic.

India-Pakistan
Jammu and Kashmir ceases to be a state. Split into two Union Territories
The view from India. See the view from Pakistan in the next article, below.
[TimesOfIndia] NEW DELHI: At the stroke of midnight, Jammu & Kashmir ceased to be a state of the Union, making way for two new Union territories of J&K and Ladakh. This marks an important milestone in the history of J&K and, especially, Kashmir Valley’s tense ties with the rest of the country, and culminates the process which started on August 5 with the landmark announcement for emasculation of Article 370 as well as end of statehood for J&K.
Note that the Kashmir region accounts for 15.8% of the area and 54.9% of the population while the Jammu region accounts for 25.9% of the area and 42.9% of the population. The Ladakh region has 2.2% of the population but 58.3% of the area. (Figures from Census of 2011). If Hindu dominated Jammu region begins to agitate for freedom from Kashmir, only 15.8% of the erstwhile J+K state will be left.
This also put to an end to J&K’s flag and constitution, symbols of the state’s special status. With October 31 fixed as the appointed day for reorganisation of J&K, the new lieutenant governors of the two UTs — G C Murmu in J&K and R K Mathur in Ladakh — will be sworn in at separate ceremonies in Srinagar and Leh, respectively.

The creation of the UTs of J&K and Ladakh coincides with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, credited with the merger of over 560 states with the Indian Union and who has been promoted by the Modi government as the embodiment of national unity and muscular nationalism.

#2  If Hindu dominated Jammu region begins to agitate for freedom from Kashmir

The incumbent party may try to bring about such an agitation, now that you mention it. But it'd be a daft thing to do on their part. The recent defeat in the block council polls in J&K to local independents may motivate them to such an error. I hope it won't.

If we ride this out, keeping the kashmiri islamists out of power and the restive locals in semi-quarantine, that 54.9% can be brought to include more religious groups by next year.
Posted by: Dron66046 || 10/31/2019 5:49 Comments || Top||

#3  I also doubt that further division is on the cards. The religious demographic of Jammu is complex and keeping it with Kashmir (where it has been ever since the British bought Kashmir valley from the Sikhs and gave it to the Dogra rulers of Jammu) prevents a situation developing where a hostile political class dominates an administrative unit of India. Ladakh is protected by 89,000 Indo-Tibetan Police and XVI Corps of the Indian army (being reorganized into integrated battle groups). Two other Corps protect Jammu and Kashmir

Economy
Estimate of Real GDP growth in Q3 is annual 1.9%, longest expansion in US history
[BEA.gov] Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 1.9 percent in the third quarter of 2019 (table 1), according to the "advance" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 2.0 percent.
comments: This is actually pretty darn good given the headwinds of regional labor shortages, trade issues (especially the one with the PRC) and various municipal and state self sabotage laws (e.g., the various minimum wage jumps, state restrictions on fracking). It probably means no more rate reductions by the Fed this quarter or even the next.

Economy Reaches Longest Expansion in U.S. History in Third Quarter of 2019, Beats Market Expectations

[The White House] The current economic expansion, which began roughly a decade ago, became the longest in U.S. history on July 1, 2019, beating the previous record that lasted from March 1991 through March 2001. As today’s advance Gross Domestic Product (GDP) release confirms, economic growth continued in the third quarter of 2019, beating market expectations and adding to the expansion’s record length. The release also confirms that the Trump Administration’s policies support sustained economic growth and lead to higher incomes for American families.

In its final projection before the 2016 election, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated that real GDP would grow at a 2.1 percent annual rate in the first 11 quarters of a new Administration. Instead, under President Trump, real GDP as of the third quarter has grown at a strong 2.6 percent annual rate since the election. As of the third quarter, real GDP is $230 billion‐or 1.2 percent‐higher than CBO’s projection (Figure 1). Furthermore, under President Obama’s expansion period, real GDP grew at only a 2.2 percent annual rate compared to the Trump Administration’s 2.6 percent rate.

India-Pakistan
India moves to divide occupied Jammu and Kashmir amid harsh security clampdown, protests
The view from Pakistan. The view from India can be seen in the previous article, above.
[DAWN] India will formally split up occupied Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
into two federal territories on Thursday, aiming to tighten its grip on the restive region that has been in the grip of a harsh security clampdown for nearly three months.

Street protests against the measures have erupted sporadically, while a dozen people have been killed in recent weeks.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist government withdrew occupied Kashmir’s autonomy in August but in addition, it also announced its division into two territories to be directly ruled from New Delhi ‐ one consisting of Jammu and Kashmir and the other the remote Buddhist enclave of Ladakh.

At the same time, it poured thousands of more troops into the Moslem-majority Kashmir valley where Kashmiris have been fighting against Indian rule for decades, and made sweeping arrests to prevent any outbreak of violence.

#2  The disempowerment of islamists became a realistic target, by equalizing the unfair distribution of representative power in the state. Splitting it up also isolates the majorly muslim part from the un-troublesome secular ones, and the removal of special status allows non-salafist candidates to represent the region.

The silencing of insurgent and secessionist leaderships was more important than the islamophile whimsies of liberals and global media. 26 elements of varying fealty have already been offed in the valley, some of the tricky ones are disguised as regular folks or embedded with families for some years.

#3  I could be wrong but I'd understood Kashmir had Hindu leadership but a primarily Muslim population and the other article indicated Jammu had a high hindu population. If true division would seem logical although it might make it harder for India to justify Kashmir as being Indian property if a super-majority of the population wants to be poor militant Pakistani.

#4  ...if a super-majority of the population wants to be poor militant Pakistani.

That's just it, rjschwarz. They don't. And the ones who do, their voices don't matter to us. No, Kashmir doesn't have any hindu leadership as yet, and establishing that will be very hard, not to mention violent.

Some background.

Before the adventurism of Pakistain in the 80s, the two communities were intertwined such as to be inseparable. The 'Stain's attacks were fought off by muslims as well as hindus until '71. In the 80s, the clerics of the Jamaat, emboldened by CIA largesse began to take liberties in the subcontinent. They fueled secession through islamism and jihad, wiping out the hindus from the Kashmir portion and occupying their properties and businesses. They could not maintain a foothold in the Jammu region simply because there were more masjids in Kashmir and more temples in Jammu. Are we learning, world ?

They could not dilute the solidarity of most localities, even within Kashmir. The Kashmiris just lay low under imposed sharia for years, while their children grew in that environment. Their causes and themes were tutored by the Jamaats who borrowed from the 'paleostine' cause of Arab youth. The majority on the Kashmir side today are a different people, educated on the internet by Paki mullahs, aided and abetted by Qatari and Saudi money (college fees, scholarships, NGOs etc). These elements grew richer and more connected, as the nationalist generation grew older, the voices of reason faded into the background. Which is why if you talk to any old resident of the valley they'll just shrug and give you a hopeless look; but you talk to a 'yute' from kashmir they'll launch into a spittle rain about everything from islamophobia to Che Guevara.

It is these rebels that have the loudest voices, web presence, jobs in globalist media, aides and campaign staffers of western politicians. And that's why the narrative is skewed toward 'India is oppressing Kashmiris'. According to them we should leave them alone to build a caliphate there.

And we'll kill every last one if necessary but all Kashmir will one day chant stupid hindu chants, by Gawd.☺

CDC: People With Dirt On Clintons Have 843% Greater Risk Of Suicide
[The Babylon Bee - Humor] ATLANTA, GA – According to a report from the Centers for Disease Control released on Thursday, people with inside, compromising knowledge of Bill and Hillary Clinton’s financial and political dealings are 843% more likely to commit suicide.

“We’ve never seen a single risk factor cause a spike of this magnitude,” a CDC spokesperson told reporters. “Interestingly, in spite of their increased suicide risk, people with dirt on the Clintons rarely show any warning signs of suicide, and they never leave a suicide note.”

Remarking about how abnormal it is, the spokesman again stressed the significance of the data.

“Therefore, we advise any American with detrimental information about Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, or the Clinton Foundation to forget about it as quickly as possible to avoid a greatly increased probability of taking your own life,” he cautioned.

“And—I swear—that’s all we know.”

#2  843%. I would have thought it higher than that. Sometimes the CDC reflects a certain bias.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Hariri said willing to return as Lebanon PM, if given power to implement reforms
Say hello to the new boss, same as the old boss...
[IsraelTimes] Resigned Lebanese PM Saad Hariri is reportedly willing to return to the post ‐ with some conditions, according to a source speaking to the Rooters news service today.

Hariri was asked today by Leb’s President Michel Aoun
...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah...
to stay on in a caretaker capacity, but may be willing to remain a full-fledged PM if his new cabinet "includes technocrats and [will] be capable of quickly implementing reforms needed to stave off economic collapse," Rooters reports.

The agency explains Leb’s dire political situation:

"Hariri resigned after nearly two weeks of massive protests against the political elite, accused by demonstrators of overseeing rampant state corruption, saying he had hit a ’dead end’ in trying to resolve the crisis.

"The bigwig, who declined to be identified, said any new cabinet led by Hariri should be devoid of a group of top-tier politicians who were in the outgoing coalition government, without naming them.

"The outgoing cabinet comprised top representatives of most of Leb’s sectarian parties, among them foreign minister Gebran Bassil of the Christian Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
who has been a prominent target of protesters. Bassil is a political ally of the powerful Iran-backed Shi’ite group Hezbollah, which had opposed the government’s resignation and has yet to comment on the resignation of Hariri, a long-time opponent of the group."

Syrian army engaged in heavy clashes with Turkish forces in Ras al Ain: State TV
[AlAhram] Syrian army troops on Wednesday were engaged in heavy festivities with Ottoman Turkish forces in the countryside around the border town of Ras al Ain in an area where a military offensive by Ankara aims to create a "safe" zone, state media said.

It did not give details but Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels said intermittent festivities have taken place in recent days with Syrian troops south of Ras al Ain, which was seized from Syrian Kurdish-led forces.

Syrian troops have with the agreement of Kurdish forces stepped in to take up positions in the area.

LTC Vindman is a tool...but you knew that already
From a comment posted last evening by our very own 'Rambler in Virginia'
[Sense of Events] I mean by that Army Lt. Col. and National Security Council staffer Alexander Vindman is being used as a tool by House Democrats, not that he is trying to do so - although the evidence that he is trying is not absent, see below.

The impeachers are accusing Republicans of attacking Vindman's service and patriotism. Funny thing is, I have not seen any such attacks, I have seen only Democrats' accusations of them. But let's humor them:

Pick the one, single officer whose patriotism is off limits to any possible criticism.
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman
Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn
Maj. Tulsi Gabbard
But back to Vindman. I have some pointed comments about him and his testimony yesterday to Congress. I will only offer my own bio as a founding for what I am writing here.

Today the AP reports, Colonel testifies he raised concerns about Ukraine, Trump. And in the first paragraph (my boldface):
WASHINGTON (AP) ‐ Defying White House orders, an Army officer serving with President Donald Trump’s National Security Council testified to impeachment investigators Tuesday that he twice raised concerns over the administration’s push to have Ukraine investigate Democrats and Joe Biden.

That alone shatters his credibility with me. Officers do not get a choice of what orders they get to obey. The Supreme Court of the United States wrote in Parker v. Levy, 1974, "An army is not a deliberative body. It is an executive arm. Its law is that of obedience. No question can be left open as to the right of command in the officer, or the duty of obedience in the soldier."

The armed forces' Manual for Court Martial, the instruction of how to implement the statutes of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, states plainly, "the dictates of a person’s conscience, religion, or personal philosophy cannot justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order."

The Manual also puts a soldier's obligation to obey this way: "An order requiring the performance of a military duty or act may be inferred to be lawful and it is disobeyed at the peril of the subordinate."

Yet Vindman disobeyed his order not to appear before Congress simply because he wanted to. His entire credibility is utterly shattered and his willful disobedience reveals him as a partisan hack in uniform.

This officer is being hailed as a hero because he placed country above Trump etc. etc. as required by his oath of commissioning in which swore to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." His advocates skip right over the part where he also swore, "I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter...."

Hong Kong Police Fire Tear Gas at People Protesting Tear Gas
[BREITBART] Residents of the Hong Kong district of Tuen Mun on Monday held a demonstration outside police headquarters to protest weird odors emanating from the facility and making people sick.

The odors were thought to be a product of tear gas testing. When the crowd of unhappy residents allegedly committed acts of vandalism, the police responded by spraying them with tear gas.

Coconuts Hong Kong quoted local media reports of residents and school students complaining of strange smells and unexplained illness, including irritated throats severe enough to require treatment by paramedics.

The protest began outside the police facility but moved to nearby Leung Wan Street about an hour later. Police officials said they investigated the reports but could not determine the source of the strange smell and found no evidence of tear gas testing in the area. They wrote a few social media posts urging the demonstrators to disperse, then fired tear gas after a report that a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a restaurant.

Europe
French far-rightist, 84, charged in mosque shooting
[IsraelTimes] BAYONNE, La Belle France ‐ An octogenarian accused of wounding two men in a shooting at a mosque in southern La Belle France has been charged and ordered held in detention, the prosecutor’s office says.

Claude Sinke
...on the occasion of his misadventure written as Claude Sinké...
, who stood as a candidate for the far-right National Rally in 2015 regional elections, tried to set fire to a mosque in Bayonne in the southwest on Monday, and shot two men, aged 74 and 78, who came out to investigate.

On Tuesday, Sherlocks said the 84-year-old had wanted to avenge the burning of Notre Dame cathedral in Gay Paree in April, which he blamed on Moslems.

They said there were questions about his mental health.

The prosecutor’s office says in a statement that Sinke, who risks life imprisonment, is now being held on attempted murder, arson, and gun violence charges. Being charged does not necessarily mean a suspect will go to trial.

Monday’s attack further unsettled La Belle France, already engulfed in a sometimes bitter debate about the observance of Islam in the secular country.

The shooting came just hours after President Emmanuel Macron had urged Moslems to step up the fight against what he called Islamic "separatism."

Investigators have said the Notre Dame fire was an accident. There has never been any suggestion of arson.
... not officially, anyway. There has been plenty of unofficial speculation, and very probably certain parties made claims and were seen rejoicing.
Sinke was put through two days of psychological tests to determine whether he understood what he had done and can be put on trial for acting with intent.

He has admitted the crimes, Sherlocks say.

His victims, one of whom was hit in the neck and the other in the chest, were in a stable condition in hospital, local authorities said Tuesday.

Judge Strikes Pittsburgh Ban on Use of AR-15s, ‘High Cap’ Magazines
More on this story from yesterday.
[BREITBART] The Allegheny Court of Common Pleas on Monday struck down Pittsburgh’s ban on the use of AR-15s inside city limits.

Breitbart News reported Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto (D) signed the ban on AR-15 usage April 9, 2019. WJAC reported other aspects of the gun control banned "most uses of armor-piercing ammunition and high-capacity magazines." The controls signed by Peduto were also intended to allow guns to be seized from individuals via a Red Flag Law.

WESA reported Allegheny County Judge Joseph James found all the controls "void and unenforceable," due to the state’s preemption statute.

A preemption law means a city or municipality is barred from passing gun controls that exceed those existing at the state level.

Informant who fingered Baghdadi likely to reap huge reward
[IsraelTimes] An informant who provided crucial details on the movements of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
leader killed in a US commando raid, is likely to scoop up some or all of a $25 million reward, the Washington Post reports.

The Post says the informant was a well-placed Islamic State operative who facilitated Baghdadi’s movements around Syria and helped oversee the construction of his Syrian hideout.

US special operations commandos struck the hideout overnight Saturday, swooping in on helicopters and chasing the IS founder into a tunnel where he detonated a boom jacket, according to the US account of the raid.

The Post says the informant was at the scene as the raid unfolded, and was exfiltrated two days later with his family. The man, who was not identified, was likely to receive some or all of the $25 million reward the US had put on Baghdadi’s head, it says. Besides Baghdadi’s movements, the informant knew the room-by-room layout of Baghdadi’s final Syrian hideout, according to the Post.

The newspaper says the source, described by one official as a Sunni Arab who turned against IS after a relative was killed by the group, was cultivated by Kurdish intelligence.

The Kurds eventually turned control over him to the Americans, who spent weeks establishing his credibility before seizing an opportunity that came up in the past month to launch the raid, according to the Post.
