Tom Steyer will be in October Democrat Debates
Sept 8 (Reuters) - U.S. Democratic presidential hopeful Tom Steyer, a billionaire environmentalist and political donor, said on Sunday he has qualified to participate in the fourth Democratic debate in October, putting him on stage alongside the leading contenders for the first time.

The 62-year-old former hedge fund manager from San Francisco, who is not well-known beyond political circles, will be one of 11 candidates who has met the Democratic National Committee's minimum requirements to participate in the Ohio debate on Oct. 15-16.

I think this means he also qualifies for the Democrat Presidential LGBT debate that month, assuming CNN really goes through with their plans for that.

Vox: Dem Climate Debate a Success, CNN, Bernie, Dem Party winners
from a different universe than I live in
...Before the town hall, the 2020 candidates put out their comprehensive visions to combat greenhouse gases and adapt to a warming world, but in front of the cameras, they were tested on their mastery of their own material. The questions came from CNN moderators and audience members, and they ranged from carbon taxes to meat consumption to fracking bans.

For many observers and climate activists on social media, it was a surprisingly productive discussion that dealt with a core challenge the president must address in office: the exercise of executive power...

'Fearlessly exposed himself to enemy fire': The only 2020 Democrat to experience combat finds it counts for little in political arena
BLUF:
[Washington Examiner] He later returned to Iraq for a third tour as a special assistant to Gen. David Petraeus, who later became CIA director, and a fourth as a liaison to tribal leaders in the south of the country. After gaining two more degrees from Harvard University, Moulton in 2014 successfully defeated a nine-term Democratic incumbent congressman, John Tierney, in a primary and entered Congress.

But despite having what one Republican strategist described as "the most perfect resume of all time," Moulton made barely a ripple in the crowded field of presidential hopefuls during his four-month bid. When his campaign ended last month, so too did the possibility that Democrats would nominate an experienced battle leader to be the next commander in chief.

Afghanistan
Afghan government says real peace will come when Taliban stop violence, hold direct talks
KABUL (Reuters) - President Ashraf Ghani’s office on Sunday said real peace in Afghanistan was only possible when the Taliban stopped their violence and held direct talks with the government.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday canceled peace talks with the Taliban’s "major leaders" at a presidential compound in Camp David, Maryland after the insurgent group claimed responsibility for an attack in Kabul last week that killed an American soldier and 11 other people.

Taliban fighters, who now control more territory than at any time since the war started in 2001, launched assaults on the northern cities of Kunduz and Pul-e Khumri over the past week and carried out two major suicide bombings in the capital Kabul.

"Real peace will come when Taliban agree to a ceasefire," Ghani’s officials said in statement in response to Trump’s cancellation of secret peace talks

#3  This looks like both 'liberated Afghanistan' and the West begging the Taliban to accept an improved (for the Taliban!) status quo ante.

Taliban Afghanistan is supposed to be neutralized as a terrorist sanctuary because the West will pay danegeld and make political concessions to the Taliban.

GWB should have offered such negotiations in 2001 instead of issuing blood curdling threats and ultimatums that weren't meant (and taken) seriously.

Powell was more honest in October of 2001.

The pretend war in Afghanistan has been eroding Western deterrence and reputation while exacting a high price in blood and money.

This is how a West with zero civilizational confidence reacts to a massive attack.

Iran, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Russia et al are observing this spectacle and drawing conclusions.

Nuts!

#4  Taliban Afghanistan is supposed to be neutralized as a terrorist sanctuary

Elmerert, the problem with that for America is that the taliban network, its trainers and facilitators all lie within Pakistain.

Unless local enmities like the Balochistan rebels or Afghan loyalists India would have been ideal for this, but we're just too self-obsessed to realize it can be actuated against the leadership in Quetta, and select parts of western Pakistain to destroy the taliban core, it will still be a waste.

Bombing caves and the Regestan desert will just result in hopeless civilian casualties which the UN and every islamic country will then vilify Trump for. The best thing would be a 100% pull out now and leave it the hell alone. It's a bitter thing to swallow, but the US has really done enough.

Also, Trump should deny the CIA access to this region and rely on Israeli intel for America's needs from Af. He'll see it will adversely affect the deepState and 'the swamp' back in Washington too.

The taliban will die only with a nuke on Quetta, Pakistain. Who does it, is anybody's guess. But it will come within the next ten years, insha Allan.

#6  My point was that the Western political class' consensus plan has been to neutralize the Taliban threat using danegeld and some measure of political appeasement; since at least October of 2001.

Right now the best option (all realistic options are atrocious) would be a precipitous withdrawal from Afghanistan combined with threats of massive strategic retaliation in case of new aggression against the West.

In any case a new precedent has been established:

A state sponsored mass fatality attack against a Western center of power is not a deadly mistake. Perhaps it is even a winning move.

Colorado Doctor Sounds Alarm on Marijuana Legalization
[Free Beacon] Colorado's experiment with marijuana legalization has been an epic disaster, according to one doctor seeing its effects on the front lines.

Dr. Karen Randall, an emergency room physician certified in "cannabis science and medicine," said the legalization of marijuana has damaged, rather than helped, her home state. Randall, who spoke alongside former White House drug czar John Walters at the right-leaning Hudson Institute on Friday, said the public is being misled about the effects of recreational marijuana.

"I think the public needs to know that we are not okay," Randall said. "The grand experiment is not going so well. I don't think the public is hearing about this as they should be."

In 2012, Colorado and Washington become the first states in the nation to legalize marijuana for recreational use. The Centennial State is often pointed to as a success story with more than $1 billion in tax revenues generated since legalization. Eight more states followed in approving recreational use.

While the country has plowed ahead with marijuana legalization, less attention has been paid to potential downsides of the weed market. Randall said legalization has brought with it high-potency dope: The average joint in Colorado, she says, now contains 20 milligrams of THC, 10 times as much as the average joint at Woodstock. Concentrated products, sometimes called "shatter," can be up to 99 percent THC.

Had my girl beside me brother.
Brother she was burnin' burnin'

Up walked a Baptist preachin' southern funky school teacher
She had a line on somethin' heavy but we couldn't reach her
We told her that we needed somethin' that would get us goin'
She pulled out all she had and laid it on the counter showin'
All I had to do was lay my money down and pick it up
The cops came dustin' in and then we lit out in our pickup truck go

Get out of Denver cause you look just like a commie
And you might just be a member better
Better Get out of Denver

Well red lights were flashin' and the sirens were a-screamin'
We had to pinch each other just to see if we was dreamin'
Made it to Loveland Pass in under less than half an hour
Lord it started drizzlin' and it turned into a thundershower

The rain was drivin' but the Caddy kept on burnin' rubber
We kept on drivin' till we ran into some fog cover
We couldn't see a thing somehow we just kept on goin'
We kept on drivin' all night long and then into the mornin'fog.

Alveda King: Bernie Sanders' Population Control Will Target Black Communities
[Breitbart] A "population control" proposal pushed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will target "black and brown" people, unborn children, the sick, and elderly people, said Dr. Alveda King, director of Priests for Life’s Civil Rights for the Unborn project and the niece of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., in a Friday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with hosts Rebecca Mansour and special guest host Rick Manning.

During a Wednesday "town hall" hosted by CNN regarding "climate change," Sanders accepted the premise of population growth on Earth being "unsustainable," requiring government controls over procreation.

Sanders’s proposal, said King, reminded her of the 1973 dystopian science fiction film Soylent Green, in which overpopulation and poverty was addressed through euthanization of the elderly and processing their remains into food.

"In light of the shocking [statements] that we just heard about population control and all of that, cannibalism, many years ago, I watched a movie with Charlton Heston," recalled King. "It was called Soylent Green, and they were concerned about population growth and all that and the old people were living too long, so they came up with this delicious wafer that they began to feed the public with, and it turns out that Soylent Green was people, the older people, and they were told that they were going to Nirvana... and then they processed them and put them in this little green wafer, and I thought about that when I heard this particular report, and I said, ’My God, they’re turning us into cannibals.'"

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Hundreds of Russian troops allegedly deploy to Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] Hundreds of Russian troops are being sent to the Idlib Governorate in northern Syria, the Russian publication Lenta.Ru reported this weekend.

According to the publication, hundreds of Russian troops belonging to the Yevgeny Prigoshin private military contractors were deployed to the Idlib Governorate, despite a pause in offensive operations.

“The plan is for groups of 50 people each, with the support of Russian aviation, to take part in street battles necessary to clear the populated city from thousands of militants associated with Al-Qaeda (banned in Russia),” Lenta.Ru reported.

“Today, Idlib is being kept under control only by the presence in the region of hundreds of thousands of civilians. Having evacuated them, the military operation against the militants can be continued, and in a completely different way,” they added.

As of now, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has paused all offensive operations in the Idlib Governorate as they adhere to a ceasefire that was proposed by the Russian Armed Forces.

However, this new ceasefire in the Idlib Governorate is contingent on Turkey dissolving the jihadist group Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

While the Syrian Army has paused their ground offensive, they have not let up their artillery strikes on Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions in southern and western Idlib.

The Syrian Army is likely to resume their offensive if Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham remains at the front-lines in the Idlib Governorate, as they have refused all previous ceasefire deals.

Pakistan denies Indian president's request to use its airspace for overflight
[DAWN] Pakistain has decided to refuse a request by India to allow its president to use Pak airspace for his flight to Iceland, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi

announced on Saturday.

The decision to deny Indian President Ram Nath Kovind the use of Pak airspace was approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
in view of India's continuing oppression of the people in occupied Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
, the minister told state broadcaster PTV.

Qureshi said New Delhi's "barbarism" in Kashmir was a serious issue which he would take up with the United Nations

Bernie Sanders speaks at Muslim Brotherhood front group convention, calls for Americans to stand together
From Tuesday, but interesting to see the company the honourable senator keeps.
[IsraelTimes] Sen. Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being a socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
got a standing ovation at the Islamic Society of North America annual convention in Houston.

Sanders spoke on Saturday to the conventions some 6,000 attendees, the first presidential candidate, along with Julian Castro, to address the gathering, the largest meeting of American Moslems.

"I am here today because I believe in the concept of solidarity, and the need for all of us, no matter where we come from or what our background is, to stand together in the struggle for justice and human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
," Sanders said.

"We must speak out at hate crimes and violence targeted at the Moslem community and call it what it is: Domestic Terrorism," he also said.

He brought up his personal history, as the "proud son of Jewish immigrants colonists."

"As some of you may know, the issue of hatred and prejudice is very personal for me," he said. He noted that those in his family who remained in Poland after Hitler came to power were murdered by the Nazis.

"And the lesson I learned from that experience is how important it is for all of us to speak out forcefully whenever we see prejudice and discrimination," he said.

He reminded his audience that "in the wake of Trump’s Moslem ban, thousands of non-Moslems from all walks of life rushed to airports all across this country to stand in solidarity with Moslems."

Sanders was introduced by his campaign manager Faiz Shakir, the first Moslem to manage a major presidential campaign.

India preparing grounds for false-flag operation by projecting 2 Pakistani civilians as terrorists: ISPR
[DAWN] The military's media wing on Saturday cautioned that the Indian army and media were projecting two Pak civilians who had inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) last month as Death Eaters in "yet another attempt to fabricate facts".On August 21, two farmers in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
, identified as Muhammad Nazeem, 21, and 30-year-old Khalil Ahmed, had unintentionally crossed the LoC near Hajipir while they were out for cutting grass, a blurb issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The incident was discussed by Pak and Indian military authorities during their weekly hotline contact on August 27. Indian authorities had at the time informed Pakistain that routine legal formalities were taking place and that they would get back on that account, according to the ISPR.

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
on September 2 some Indian media outlets "fabricated the facts" and portrayed the two Pak individuals as members of a proscribed organization.

As per the blurb, the false Indian story was communicated to Indian authorities during the next weekly hotline contact on Sept 3.

It was then "assured by Indian side that due legal process was in place and outcome will be shared with Pak authorities", the military's media wing said.

In complete disregard to formal information-sharing mechanisms, however, "a false and fabricated story was presented by Indian Army during a presser on September 4 portraying the individuals as terrorists," the statement added.

It said the apprehended Pak civilians were also forced to give a confessional statement under duress of the Indian military that they were trained in Pakistain and belonged to Rawalpindi.

"The attempt is another Indian effort to prepare grounds for a false-flag operation," the ISPR said, adding that Pakistain was taking up a formal case regarding the development based on evidence to "expose Indian lies".

The statement clarified that both individuals in Indian custody are inadvertent crossers who are local farmers and residents of village Terraban (Hillan) along the LoC and not Rawalpindi.

Jobs Up in August, not Down
[Bloomberg] U.S. companies added the most jobs in four months in August while jobless claims stayed low last week, reports showed Thursday, suggesting the labor market remains healthy despite a slowdown in manufacturing and global weakness.

Businesses’ payrolls increased by 195,000 after a downwardly revised 142,000 gain in July, according to the ADP Research Institute. The latest data compared with the median estimate of economists for a 148,000 increase. A separate Labor Department report Thursday showed filings for unemployment benefits were little changed last week, near the lowest level since 1969.

Contrast with Mediocre Jobs Report from the Dept. of Labor Friday, and reported at Rantburg.
Job growth continued at a tepid pace in August, with nonfarm payrolls increasing by just 130,000 thanks in large part to the temporary hiring of Census workers, the Labor Department reported Friday.
The good news came from the August ADP National Employment Report.
Broadly distributed to the public each month, free of charge, the ADP National Employment Report is produced by the ADP Research Institute in collaboration with Moody’s Analytics. The report, which is derived from ADP’s actual payroll data, measures the change in total nonfarm private employment each month on a seasonally-adjusted basis

#1  the ADP and the Dept of Labor use different data bases and different definitions of 'employed' and 'part time employed'

both attempt a very large sample of employers however, given that there are 150 million employed, a difference of 60k in the 'total' isn't much

Afghanistan
Taliban kidnap six Afghan journalists
[DAWN] Taliban
...Arabic for students...
kidnapped six Afghan journalists working for private and government media organizations in eastern Paktia province, government officials and Taliban said on Saturday.

The news hounds, working for radio and TV news companies that broadcast news in the Pashto and Dari languages, were kidnapped while travelling together from neighbouring Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
province to Paktia to attend a media workshop on Friday.

"We are trying to negotiate their release with the Taliban," said Abdullah Hasrat, a front man for Paktia's governor.

A Taliban front man confirmed the abduction of six journalists by their fighters but said they will be released soon.

"Yes, our mujahideens [fighters] have mistakenly kidnapped them," said Zabihullah Mujahid, a front man for the group.

"Right now mobile services are not working, but they will be released as soon as we establish contact with the local commander," he said.

Afghanistan was the deadliest country in the world to be a journalist in 2018, with 13 deaths according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). The International Federation of Journalists said 16 journalists were killed last year.

In June, the Taliban issued a threat to Afghan media, saying journalists will be targeted unless news outlets stop broadcasting what they describe as government propaganda against the bully boys.

Idlib ceasefire is set to end as Syrian troops gather in Al-Ghaab for new offensive
[ALMASDARNEWS] The short-lived Idlib ceasefire is coming to an end in the next 24 hours, al-Watan reported on Saturday morning.

According to al-Watan, the ceasefire brokered by the Russian Armed Forces was only a temporary measure that is set to end on Sunday morning.

The Syrian publication added that the ceasefire was repeatedly violated by the jihadists of Jabhat al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
(reference to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
).

However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
a military source in Damascus said nothing is official as of yet and it is highly unlikely that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launches a new attack in the next few days.

The source says the Syrian Arab Army has already built up their forces around the al-Ghaab Plain’s southern region, as this is the location of their next offensive in northern Syria.

At the same time, the Syrian Army has also sent reinforcements to the northeastern countryside of the Latakia Governorate; this offensive is supposed to be carried out in conjunction with the al-Ghaab operation.

In order for the Syrian Army to secure the northern region of al-Ghaab, which is currently under the control of groups like Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the Hurras al-Deen group, the Syrian Army will have to capture the strategic town of Kabani and its surrounding hilltops.

Kabani overlooks much of the Death Eater-held areas in the al-Ghaab Plain, so capturing this town is a high priority for the Syrian Army’s high command.

Syrian Army launches heavy attack on militant positions in southern Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is currently striking the Idlib Governorate, targeting a number of areas under the control of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
According to a military source in the Hama Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army launched a heavy attack in response to the jihadist assault that was launched on their positions in the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

The source said the Syrian Army is attacking a number of areas along the southern front of the Idlib Governorate, including the town of Ma’ar Tahramah.

The Syrian Arab Army would also attack several sites controlled by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in western Idlib; this includes the murderous Moslem stronghold of Kafr Nabl.

Earlier in the day, the jihadist rebels attacked the Syrian Army defenses in southern Idlib, prompting the latter to respond with a heavy barrage of artillery to deter any further strikes.

According to Syria-based al-Watan, the Russian-sponsored ceasefire in Idlib will expire tomorrow morning.

Once this ceasefire expires, the Syrian Arab Army is expected to resume their offensive operations along the Hama-Idlib axis.

The Syrian Army has already begun gathering their forces in the southern region of the al-Ghaab Plain; this is where the next offensive is expected to take place.

Israeli jets strike Hamas in Gaza after armed drone attack
[IsraelTimes] IDF says "military centers" for aerial operation targeted in bombing raids on enclave hours after Paleostinians pilot armed drone into Israel.

Israeli jets struck three Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, targets in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip on Saturday night, the Israeli military said, in retaliation for Paleostinian turbans piloting an armed drone over the border earlier in the day.

The targets, in northern and central Gaza, included an equipment depot for naval warfare, and two "military centers" for Hamas’s aerial system, the Israel Defense Forces said.

"The IDF will continue to act against attempts to harm Israeli citizens, and holds the Paleostinian terror group Hamas responsible for everything that takes place in the Gaza Strip, and which emanates from there," the military said in a statement.

Earlier Saturday, Gaza turbans piloted an armed drone into Israel, the IDF said. It did not specify if the explosive detonated, but said a military vehicle was lightly damaged in the incident.

The IDF said it shot up the cell responsible for the drone. No Israeli soldiers were hurt and there were no immediate reports of Paleostinian injuries.

The Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s came hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hamas that Israel would respond forcefully to any attempt to harm its citizens and soldiers, following two days of violent incidents on and near the Gaza border.

"Hamas is responsible for all aggression emanating from the Gaza Strip. Any attempt to harm our citizens and our soldiers will be met with a forceful response," Netanyahu said in a statement.

Residents of the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel were warned that any explosions they hear were part of Israeli military activity in the area, Hebrew-language media reported.

The weekend saw a string of violent incidents along the Gaza border, after several weeks of relative calm.

On Friday night, incoming rockets set off sirens in Israeli communities along the Gaza border. The IDF said it had identified five projectiles that had crossed the border into Israeli territory.

Israeli artillery and aircraft attacked several military targets belonging to the Hamas terror group in the northern Gaza Strip in retaliation, the IDF said.

The exchange of fire came hours after two Paleostinian teens were reportedly killed in festivities with Israeli troops along the border, in what the IDF called "especially violent" riots.

The riots were especially violent and included the throwing of a large number of bombs, hand grenades and Molotov cocktails at the fence and IDF soldiers, the army said, adding that there were extensive attempts to damage the border barrier.

The deadly festivities came just days after Israel lifted restrictions on fuel deliveries to Gaza, a week after curbing them by half due to rocket and mortar fire from the coastal enclave.

Since the outbreak of protests on the Gaza border last year, Israel has intermittently taken a number of steps to curb outbreaks of violence from the coastal territory, such as closing border crossings, cutting fuel shipments and reducing the permitted fishing area off the coast of the Strip. It has rolled back such moves following decreases in violence.
...an approach that is clearly not having a significant impact on Gazan behaviour.

FO summons Indian envoy, condemns LoC ceasefire violations
[DAWN] The Foreign Office (FO) on Saturday summoned Indian Charge d` Affairs Gaurav Ahluwalia to lodge a protest against "unprovoked ceasefire violations" by the Indian army.

According to a statement issued by the FO, "Director General (SA & SAARC) Dr Mohammad Faisal summoned Indian Charge d` Affairs Gaurav Ahluwalia today and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC)."

The director general urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement. He said that the Indian side should permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.

According to the statement, in the most recent ceasefire violations on September 6 in Khuiratta sector of the LoC, the Indian forces deliberately targeted innocent civilian participants of peaceful rallies organised to show solidarity with the people of India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.
"Four innocent civilians, Iftikhar, 35, son of Feroz, Raheel, 20, son of Zameer, Farhan, 20, son of Mehmood and Adeel, son of Mehmood, sustained serious injuries," said the FO statement.

"The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons, which still continues," it added.

Judge finds Toni Preckwinkle's son not guilty of assault
[CWBCHICAGO] Congratulations are in order for Kyle Preckwinkle, the 38-year-old son of Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle.

Yesterday, he was acquitted of misdemeanor assault in a bench trial. It’s the second time a judge has found the younger Preckwinkle not guilty of a criminal charge since 2013.

On May 3, a 65-year-old man who lives in the same building as Kyle Preckwinkle called police and reported that Preckwinkle had assaulted him. The man said he was walking up the stairs when Kyle Preckwinkle stopped him. Preckwinkle allegedly wanted to complain about noises coming from his apartment and to ask who else was in the man’s unit.

"That’s none of your business," the man reportedly said, and he continued to his home.

A short time later, Kyle Preckwinkle allegedly began repeatedly beating on the man’s door.

"Open the door, mother f*cker," Preckwinkle was accused of yelling, along with other obscenities. The police report alleged that when the man opened the door, Preckwinkle "approached in an aggressive manner while yelling, ’What you gonna do? What you gonna do, b*tch?’"

The man said he was "in fear of receiving a battery," according to the report.

But Kyle Preckwinkle was not arrested that night. He apparently didn’t even have to turn himself in to be processed by police. Instead, he was issued a summons to appear in criminal court on June 26 to face the assault allegation.

On Wednesday, Kyle Preckwinkle pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
, and Judge Robert Kuzas then found him not guilty from the bench.

In 2012, Kyle Preckwinkle was charged with misdemeanor battery. Once again, rather than being arrested, he was issued a summons to appear in court on the charge. Judge Tommy Brewer found him not guilty in a bench trial.

Kyle Preckwinkle does not appear in the reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
Police Department’s online database of arrested adults. That may be because he was ordered to appear by summons rather than being booked like most people.

Court records also do not list what’s known as an "IR Number" for Kyle Preckwinkle. IR numbers, or "Individual Record" numbers, are assigned to a person when they are arrested in Cook County for the first time. That number follows the person around like a fingerprint or Social Security number, so individuals’ arrest records remain organized even if they provide fake names.

The same court files also fail to list a "CB Number" or "Central Booking Number" for either of Preckwinkle's criminal cases. The Chicago Police Department issues a new, sequential CB Number for every arrest. Lack of CB Numbers is another indication that Kyle Preckwinkle was never arrested by police.

All's not perfect in the Preckwinkle world, though. Sun-Times reporters last month revealed that the condo where Kyle Preckwinkle and his wife live is owned by his politically-connected mom. According to the paper, the building's association filed suit to have Kyle and his family removed from the building.

He’s supposed to be on his way out after more run-ins with police at the building, including over gunshots allegedly fired from his balcony, and a lawsuit to evict the family.

The condo association, which filed that suit, also is trying to get Toni Preckwinkle to help cover the expenses of the case, more than $15,000 in attorney fees and costs to date, which she is fighting.

The story continued.

In trying to evict [the] family, the suit cited problems including the May incident, in which somebody was “repeatedly discharging a firearm” and Kyle Preckwinkle’s “threatening” behavior.

The suit said “the Tenants continue to engage in noxious, offensive and intolerable behavior despite numerous notices to cease and desist and intervention from the Chicago Police Department.”

As of Sept. 5, no charges had been filed in connection with the purported gunshot incident.

Adios, Think Progress
[POWERLINEBLOG] The site has also faced criticism that it has tailored its reporting to demands from the Center for American Progress, which receives funding from wealthy liberal donors and some foreign governments.

CAP’s affiliation with Bill and Hillary Clinton has also been a sore spot for the think tank and ThinkProgress. John Podesta, the Hillary Clinton campaign chairman and Bill Clinton’s White House chief of staff, founded CAP in 2003. Neera Tanden, a former Clinton White House aide and longtime Clinton booster, is president of the think tank.

Podesta emails released by WikiLeaks during the 2016 campaign showed that Judd Legum, the founder of ThinkProgress, provided the Clinton campaign with strategies on how to go after Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

These days, Bill and Hillary are politicians without a party. The Democrats have moved on, farther to the left. The demise of Think Progress is perhaps a consequence of that shift.

Bill Clinton tried to appeal to them and won -- but the Party apparatchiks have purged his faction since then. The opening moves of this realignment were clear were clear back in 1973 after the embarrassing collapse of the McGovern Campaign.

David Hogg: Today’s Mass Shootings Stem from America’s ‘Indigenous Mass Shootings’ and ‘White Supremacy’
[BREITBART] Friday on MSNBC’s All In, dipshit March for Our Lives co-founder David Hogg discussed what he believed was the origin of mass shootings in the United States.

Hogg said, "I think it comes down to reckoning with our history and our history of white supremacy in the United States. The fact that we live in a post-genocidal society oftentimes that was orchestrated by the United States government in that if we want to talk about mass shootings, we need to recognize the massive number of indigenous mass shootings that was conducted by the United States government.
....I think back to the battle of Wounded-Knee and the several hundred Native Americans, predominately men, woman, and children...
I think back to the battle of Wounded-Knee
"I was there, you know."
and the several hundred Native Americans,
Back in them days they wuz Injuns...
predominately men, woman, and children
... but cows, too, and doggies, and cats, and field mice, and a half dozen buffalo, and some moneys, and a whale...
that were slaughtered by the United States government back in the nineteenth century.
One word: Comanche.
Another word: Apache.
Another word: Algonquin.
Another word: Lakota.
Two more words: General Custer.
Another two: Simon Girty.
Whatever happened to Virginia Dare, the first white baby born in the Jamestown colony? Hint: Powhattan. Maybe Croatan. Whichever, she's dead now.
And that French guy, who decided to go live among the Noble Savages, and ended up getting scalped so he went back to La Belle France. Lucky for him, people still wore wigs back in those days, but still...
Perhaps young Master Hogg should read up on the actual history of the Plymouth and Jamestown Colonies, instead of watching the Walt Disney version of things. Pocahontas was eleven years old when she rescued John Smith. I'd be surprised if she actually sang to the animals.

And how that is never discussed as a mass shooting.
It was a stoopid and brutal military operation.
And that was wrong because those people were not armed, and we were stealing their land."
Actually they were being disarmed, some were still armed, and the fight started accidentally. It was a battle, even though vastly unequal. Sand Creek was a more deliberate massacre. Mostly women and children and the elderly, for which Col. Chivington, the commander, was at least reprimanded (I don't recall if he was dismissed or not. Probably not, since the Civil War was on.) But the govt shooting up even partially armed people defending their land sounds like a really good argument in favor of the Second Amendment.

Israeli teen badly hurt in West Bank stabbing attack after visiting dentist
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian dentist intervenes to help father and son escape; father says perpetrator asked if they were Jewish; attacker said to have surrendered to Paleostinian authorities.

The army on Saturday announced that an initial investigation into the stabbing of two Israelis, attacked after visiting a Paleostinian dentist earlier in the day in the West Bank village of Azun, was a terror attack.

"An assailant stabbed two Israeli civilians after they had entered Azun in order to receive medical treatment," the army said Saturday referring to a village east of Qalqilya in the north of the territory.

The victims were a 60-year-old father, Yosef Perez, who was lightly injured and his teen son, Liber Perez, 17, who was badly hurt.

Liber Perez sustained multiple stab wounds to his upper body in the Saturday morning assault, while the father was lightly hurt on the arm.

The two, residents of the southern Israeli city of Ofakim, were visiting a local dentist for treatment along with the father’s brother when they were accosted by a young Paleostinian man, said to be a teen, who asked if they were Jews, they said later Saturday.

There were conflicting reports on how they responded. The uncle told Walla news that they replied in Arabic, telling the young man that they were not Jews, while the father told Channel 12 news that they replied that they were indeed Jewish.

Both said they suddenly spotted a knife in the assailant’s hand during the brief exchange.

The father told Walla news that he quickly alerted his brother as he tried to apprehend the attacker but was stabbed in the arm. "My son was afraid for me, he pushed me aside and he quickly jumped on him with his head down. [The attacker] took advantage of the position and began stabbing him in his back," Perez recounted.

The dentist, both men said, helped save them.

"The dentist helped us; he jumped on him and held him against the wall and hit him while we escaped," the father said.

"For a year now I have been coming to this dentist for treatment and everything was fine. I never thought something like this would happen," he went on.

The dentist, who gave his name as Dr. Amin, told Channel 12 in horror that the victims were attacked "inside my clinic... They are my patients."

The suspect is said to be a 15-year-old local resident. According to Paleostinian media reports, Israeli security forces arrested his father on Saturday. Some Hebrew media reports said earlier that the attacker had surrendered to Paleostinian authorities.

The injured father and son were brought by IDF medics to the Eliyahu border crossing and from there taken by the Magen David Adom ambulance service to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba for further treatment.

The teen was later listed in moderate but stable condition by the hospital.

Seattle Might Ban New Homes and Buildings From Using Natural Gas
[TOWNHALL] The Seattle Times reports that Seattle's city council is considering legislation which would ban all new homes and buildings within city limits from using natural gas, and mandating that these edifices must use electric heating and cooking.

Councilmember Mike O’Brien will likely introduce the legislation next week. If passed, it is expected that the regulations will go in effect next summer.

"We know that some people rely on natural gas at home and on the natural-gas industry for jobs, so we want to be thoughtful about how we transition," O'Brien said. "But in the meantime, let’s not continue to make the problem worse."

Peggi Lewis Fu, executive director of the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s Washington state chapter, slammed the potential proposal.

Iran says boat seized in Strait of Hormuz, Filipinos arrested
[DAWN] Iran seized a boat and arrested 12 Filipino crewmen as it busted a suspected fuel-smuggling ring in the Strait of Hormuz waterway on Saturday, state media reported.

State television aired footage of an orange and white tugboat docked at Bandar Abbas port, with at least three armed guards on board.

“Coast guards successfully seized a foreign ship in the Strait of Hormuz,” said Major Hossein Dehaki, the coast guard chief in the southern province of Hormozgan.

The boat — allegedly carrying contraband fuel — had 12 Filipino crew on board, and all of them were arrested, he told the television station.

Dehaki said the group was suspected of operating a fuel-smuggling ring and the confiscated shipment had been intercepted close to Sirik county in the Strait of Hormuz.

The seizure comes amid tensions in the Gulf after the United States unilaterally withdrew from a nuclear deal putting curbs on Iran's nuclear programme in return for relief from sanctions.

The escalation has seen ships mysteriously attacked, drones downed and oil tankers seized in the Strait of Hormuz — a chokepoint for a third of world's seaborne oil.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps detained a “foreign tanker” in Gulf waters on July 14 for allegedly smuggling contraband fuel.

4th person sentenced in plot to bomb US Muslim community
[IsraelTimes] Vincent Vetromile gets 7 years in jail, a month after his 3 accomplices in planned terror attack on New York community of Islamberg got 4-12 years.

The last of four young men who US authorities say planned to use homemade explosives against an upstate New York Moslem community has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Twenty-year-old Vincent Vetromile appeared Tuesday in Monroe County Court. He had pleaded guilty in June to a weapons charge.

Vetromile, 20-year-old Brian Colaneri, 19-year-old Andrew Crysel and a 16-year-old were accused of planning an attack on Islamberg, a community of about 200 people in Delaware County.

Colaneri and Crysel were sentenced last month to four to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to terrorism conspiracy. The youngest defendant, who’s now 17, was sentenced to seven years.

Investigators said the Rochester-area residents had access to 23 rifles and shotguns and three homemade explosives when they were arrested in January.

It was a lunchroom comment by one of the students during school that launched the investigation.

"He looks like the next school shooter, doesn’t he?" the student allegedly said while showing students a picture of another boy on his phone, according to Phelan.

A student who heard the comment "did what we teach kids to do and told somebody," the chief said.

School security and Greece police interviewed both students and others and eventually uncovered their plot. The timing of the attack was unknown.

The rural community in Delaware County is operated by The Moslems of America, an American Moslem organization based in the US, which runs 21 others in North America. It was settled by followers of Pak holy man Sheikh Mubarik Gilani.
...more formally Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who served as the imam of the Yasin Masjid in Brooklyn before becoming too important for such petty considerations...
The mostly African-American settlers first came to the area in the 1980s to escape crime and crowding in New York City.
...Moslems of America (MOA), also known in English as Muslims of the Americas when they are talking about their Canadian and Caribbean ventures, and formally as The Muslims of America, Inc. (TMOA). The estimated 3,000 member group is one of the American front groups of Jamaat ul-Fuqra or Jamaat al-Fuqra, the other being Quranic Open University. Jamaat ul-Fuqra absorbed the Black Muslim street gang known as Dar al-Islam (DAR), was listed as a terror organization by the State Department in 1999, and is banned in Pakistan. The Wikipedia page is quite interesting...
Police and analysts have dismissed accusations that the 60-acre community is a terrorist training ground, but the claims have persisted for decades.

Facebook Censors Feminist Satire Site as ‘Clickbait’
[BREITBART]
Thank you @Facebook for being on the cutting edge of regulating public discourse. pic.twitter.com/mtcSqGqLnk

— Sarah Pappalardo (@yourpappalardo) September 5, 2019

Her comments echo those made by conservatives, including President Donald Trump, Breitbart News, and many Republican lawmakers, who have for years been raising the alarm about the ability of Silicon Valley tech giants to manipulate public debate on the Internet.

Talking to Gizmodo, Pappalardo blamed mistakes by Facebook’s AI for the censorship of her website.

“Bad algorithms have resulted in Reductress and actual people to be throttled or even suspended with almost no outlet to challenge the decision,” Pappalardo told Gizmodo.

“Given the nature of what we do, especially in relation to sites like Clickhole and the Onion, it’s hard to believe that there isn’t something inherently problematic in deciding that our content is ‘clickbait’ but theirs somehow isn’t.”

According to Pappalardo, Facebook cited two clickbaity headlines as a justification for their decision: “Wow! This Ethical Brand Only Sells One T-Shirt But They Worked Really Hard on it,” and “Wow! Megan Markle Just Broke Royal Protocol.”

“Clickbait” is a word that describes a form of headline on an Internet article that is designed to generate clicks, and typically direct readers to articles that do not reflect what the headline suggests. “Clickbait” has evolved into a term of disparagement for articles that over-promise in headlines and under-deliver in content.

A bad algorithm is one that does not perform as its author(s) intended. I'm not sure that applies here any more.

Prosecutors call for Felicity Huffman to spend just ONE MONTH in jail after she pleaded guilty in admissions scandal
  • [Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Court said Friday Felicity Huffman should serve a month in jail and pay $20,000

  • She was recommended a year's supervised release after her time behind bars

  • Prosecutor's said house arrest in her Hollywood Hills home was not good enough punishment

  • Her attorney's responded by asking for her to only have a year's probation, 250 hours of community service, plus the fine

  • Huffman's husband William H. Macy, Desperate Housewives co-star Eva Longoria, and Huffman herself wrote some sentencing memorandum letters

  • Her 161-page filing featured 27 letters of support including Huffman's words that she thought by cheating she was giving her daughter a 'fair shot'

  • Huffman pleaded guilty earlier this year to committing mail fraud and honest services fraud in connection with the college admissions scandal

  • She paid $15,000 to have an SAT proctor correct her daughter Sophia's answers

#1  Force her and her husband to pay the 4-year tuition of not fewer than ten students who would have gained admission to the school her daughter attended but did not because that school reserved those spaces for spoiled and undeserving children like hers.

10 four-year private all-in costs = ca. $2.8 million.

#3  I have no sympathy with this person, but am a little uncomfortable with the way she is considered a monster.
Her crimes are giving bribes to corrupt officials of a University and the SAT.
I can recall a day not that long ago, and perhaps now, in which failure to pay bribes to officials of NY City put one on a blacklist which made one ineligible to do business with the City.
To claim that paying bribes to corrupt officials (people not known to her but arranged at the suggestion of an intermediary) is bad, but actually very common in the real world. (In many countries it is universal).
Thus the treatment of this woman is a bit overmuch.
Second, bribery is an activity involving the corrupt individual being bribed. I do not hear of any great punishment, or any vilification or much publicity about those who accepted these bribes.
i am certain that she was not the first to make use of their corruption, since she did not know them.
If the purpose of the justice system is in part, to deter crimes of the sort involved here, severe punishment of the arranger, and of the corrupt officials would be far more effective than punishing the person bribing an already corrupt official through an intermediary.
Third, what she did was actually harmful to her daughter; academically, placing a person in a position in which one is not qualified to be is a recipe for failure. So this is a person who did something that seems like it helps her daughter while actually harms her. It may also tend to corrupt the morals of her daughter, something unwise in the long run.
Finally, it is very common and legal and even wise, for a parent to seek advice from an expert as to which colleges or schools for one's child to apply to and how to go about doing so.
What happens then if the expert is dishonest and recommends bribing corrupt officials to get preference for admission?
A perfect idiot with too much money will fall for advice to offer bribes, as she did.
In a sense she paid quite a bit of money to harm her daughter, the action of a fool.
To me, it seems like being herself is in itself almost sufficient punishment for this behavior.
What she did is almost nothing compared to what that other entertainer did by faking a hate crime.
And what was his punishment?
Was bribery or undue influence involved in that case?
What annoys me is that almost all commentators on this case assume that she was doing something smart by paying these large bribes, when what she was doing, just by corrupting the morals of her child was actually a form of child abuse, let alone by guaranteeing her child's failure as a student.

#4  I was a bit harsh on the advisor and the bribe takers above, because I ignored how they were corrupted.
There are individuals who are highly qualified for admission to universities that are discriminated against by those universities, quite unfairly, and that discrimination is approved of by certain governments.
In particular, today, well qualified applicants, particulary those of East Asian descent, are not admitted to places like Harvard, while those with worse credentials are admitted. Parents of those denied admission unfairly through normal channels, are merely righting a wrong, by paying off those who can get their children into these schools. And the officials such as tennis coaches are aware of the injustice of the admissions process and feel they are righting a wrong by helping out those who seek admission by pretending to be great tennis players. Similarly, those who advise parents are sympathetic with those discriminated against, and do not feel it wrong to help them out by making connections with sympathetic tennis or yachting coaches.
And then some foolish woman with lots of money and wants to use this pathway to ruin her child? Well, the advisor, who considers himself a hero for helping those unfairly treated by dishonest institutions, is tempted by the large fee to help this woman in her folly. And that is what happened here.
What this means is that the bribe takers and intermediaries are not necessarily all bad people, deserving of harsh punishments.
The real culprit is the unfairness of admissions processes.

Which is why so much of the world is a sh*!hole. Check the cultures that actually make an effort in integrity and those that don't. Which are the more successful in true economic and social progress (as validated by 'people wanting to live there' migration and application for residence*).

#7  ...I think she needs to spend 4-6 months at Club Fed, at a minimum. She's no monster, she's just an entitled moron whose sentence would have a beneficial effect upon other entitled morons. It does need to be said that she's stepped up and taken responsibility for what she did (though I would be willing to bet the rent that it took some arguing by her esteemed counsel to get her to understand exactly what she'd done). The fine is okay; it actually exceeds what she spent to get her snowflake a good SAT score. Short version - the sentence could be longer, but overall not bad. She cooperated and will reap the benefits of said cooperation.

Lori Laughlin, however, is going to get her backside handed to her. She's going to end up with a year at least (though probably won't serve the whole thing) and a fine that's gonna hurt. She fought it and thought she could duke it out with the Feds, and only when they started dropping hints that both of her snowflakes could be looking at charges did she see the light. They have to make an example of her, and they shall.

#9  I don't think she should serve any time in prison. Be fined, yes. Community service? I think that is just a form of being pilloried, and is more in line with corrupt prosecutors tendencies. She will never live this down. Plus she has injured her daughter, inadvertently I think. They will have the rest of their lives to work with that.

I think the bribe takers, the corrupt enablers are the ones who should pay with hard time. There is a system in place to be enriched, manned by the corrupt. If they did not have their little toll booths established, she couldn't have been steered to them. These are the criminals, not the dummy who is snared. What is happening there? Anything?

This sounds as much like corrupt prosecutors tacitly working with corruption in academia to put the screws to a dummy who got ensnared. Note: I think all prosecutors are criminals at heart. Otherwise why would they have been threatening her kids? They see it as another splinter to jam under a fingernail, another finger to break, except they are figuratively torturing her kids. God how I hate those bastards. Corrupt and evil to the core.

13 arrested, restaurant sealed in Lahore for allegedly serving alcoholic beverages
[DAWN] A well-known food outlet in Lahore was sealed on Saturday for allegedly violating the ban on the serving and sale of alcoholic beverages, police said.

Police arrested 13 people and filed a criminal case against the outlet’s administration, SP Malik Imran said.

According to the FIR, a copy of which is available with DawnNewsTV, the joint raid by the police and excise and taxation department was conducted on Cafe Aylanto on the directives of the Lahore commissioner.

On the basis of a tip-off, the commissioner had tasked Assistant Commissioner Revenue Muddassar Nawaz to take action against the cafe if any illegal activity was taking place there.

Later on, the assistant commissioner shared the intelligence information with Model Town Assistant Commissioner Zeeshan Ranjha, Lahore Excise Department ETO Masood Bashir Waraich and Model Town SP Malik Imran.

The high-ups discussed the matter and constituted a raiding party. To further investigate the matter, undercover agents were sent to the restaurant. The undercover agents purchased foreign liquor worth Rs12,000 and signaled the two assistant commissioners who then stepped in and initiated a legal action.

A police party, meanwhile, remained alert outside the cafe to avoid any untoward situation. A large number of liquor bottles were seized and the restaurant staff as well as some customers were placed under arrest.

Turkey wants Syrian Army to withdraw from Khan Sheikhoun and several areas
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish authorities want the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to withdraw from several areas in southern Idlib and northern Hama, a source from the military told al-Masdar News on Friday.

According to the military source, the Ottoman Turkish authorities called on the Russian Armed Forces to force the Syrian Army to withdraw from the territories they captured in August.

The military source said the recently captured territories include the key city of Khan Sheikhoun and the town of Morek, which currently has a Ottoman Turkish observation post inside of it.

Thus far, the Syrian Army has withdrawn from the Ottoman Turkish observation post area in the town of Morek; however, they were quickly replaced by the Russian military police, who sent a convoy to the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate.

While the Syrian Army did agree to leave the Morek area, it is highly unlikely that they will withdraw from Khan Sheikhoun or the other areas they captured from the murderous Moslem forces in northern Hama and southern Idlib.

Syrian Army uncovers heavy weapons left behind in militant underground bases
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been combing through the recently captured areas in northern Hama and southern Idlib as they look to secure these sites that were once under bully boy control.

Among the towns where the Syrian Army is spending the most time combing through are Kafr Zita and al-Latamnah; these two towns were the former strongholds of Jaish al-Izza in northern Hama.

In the town of al-Latamnah, for instance, the Syrian Army has uncovered a large network of tunnels and caves that were once used by Jaish al-Izza to store weapons and evade the military’s attacks.

The Syrian Army recently released a video from one of the caves used by Jaish al-Izza; it showed a 120mm artillery gun that was stored inside this former base for the bully boy group.

Swedish imam fined for calling Jews the ‘offspring of apes and pigs’
[IsraelTimes] A Swedish imam has been fined about $305 for hate speech for calling Jews the "offspring of apes and pigs" during an anti-Israel demonstration two years ago.
Every once in a while something is done about it, though some might question whether this is actually meaningful.
Samir el Rifai of Helsingborg made the statement in Arabic in response to Israel limiting prayer at the al-Aqsa Mosque after two Israel Police officers were killed at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City in a Paleostinian terror attack.

"There is no prophet against whom those who are the progeny of monkeys and pigs have not made evil plans against. They did it to all prophets and to all nations, this has also affected our prophet, peace be upon him," el Rifai said at the July 2017 demonstration organized by the Swedish-Paleostinian Centre, the Swedish newspaper Expressen reported Monday.

His statements were reported to police by the Jewish Assembly in Helsingborg.

The imam told the Helsingborg District Court at his trial in May that his statements referred to the State of Israel and not all Jews ‐ an argument the court did not accept as valid, saying that the word Jew is not the same as the State of Israel.

#1  Knew it.

Next:
- the Declaration of Independence = racism.
- the Emancipation Proclamation = white supremacy manifesto.
- the Constitution = M e i n K a m p f.
- the Kennedys = the Klan
- LBJ = Mussolini with a drawl.
- white people = "devils."

Coming soon, to a political campaign theater near you.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Russian Satellite Intelligence notes
[DEFACTO] Rendezvous & Proximity Operations manoeuvres and even anti-satellite weapons can be disguised under peaceful objectives, such as repairing satellites instead of tampering with them (Vice, 2015)

One of the biggest concerns for operators who see Luch approaching their satellite is the possibility that Luch will be able to steal their transmissions
Another satellite operating close enough to the intended recipient could pick up that signal (C4ISRNET, 2019)

While the Russian satellite’s mission is not clear, its manoeuvres have been the subject of classified meetings within the Defense Department and captured the attention of lawmakers on Capitol Hill (Spacenews.com, 2015)

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Large number of Syrian military reinforcements head to northern Aleppo
[ALMASDARNEWS] A massive convoy of Syrian military reinforcements made their way to the northern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate today, a source from the army told al-Masdar News.
Gary Johnson: "Aleppo? What is Aleppo?"
According to the source, the Syrian military reinforcements consisted of several units from the National Defense Forces (NDF), primarily the troops from the Kafraya, Nubl, al-Zahra’a, and al-Fou’aa divisions.

These NDF divisions come from the predominately Shi’a towns in the Idlib and Aleppo Governorate; they were all previously besieged by Jabhat al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
(now Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
) and the Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
(FSA) at one point.

The source added that the reinforcements were deployed to the Mennagh front, which is currently under the control of the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG).

The Syrian Army is not at war with the YPG; furthermore, the reinforcements have more to do with beefing up their forces in areas where the Ottoman Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels are constantly attacking or threatening to attack.

Mennagh was captured by the YPG during their 2016 offensive against the Ottoman Ottoman Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) in northern Aleppo. Since then, they have shared control over some areas, including Tal Rifa’at, with the Syrian Army and National Defense Forces.
