They should pass a law stating that no member of the Executive or Legislative branch can do any kind of trading while in office (or for x years afterwards) because they determine the policies that make the stocks go up and down.
Additionally all close relatives should have trades routinely monitored.
If only to avoid the enevitable use of this sort of thing to hassle politicians by those that hate them.

Actually, I tend to agree with them here. They should have legal immunity---otherwise, Bama_DOJ will have all the republicans, and some democrats, in jail in no time.

Watch the court that uses the 14th Amendment (equal before the law) to expand all sorts of intrusions and to expand its authority create a rationale why Congresscritters are above the law. The only protection historically established (and used by Sen. Reid) is protection from libel when talking from the floor. Otherwise they're prosecutable like any other citizens. Of course, some animals are more equal than others.
The 17th Amendment is hererby repealed and replaced with "Senators shall be elected by the legislatures of the individual states with the electoral rules for legislator electors to be decided by each legislation itself."
Amendment: Congressional term limits are imposed as follows: No more than 8 terms or partial terms (exceeding 1 year) in the House of Representatives. No more than 3 terms or partial terms (exceeding 2 years) in the Senate. Office shall be terminated after 20 years total in the House and Senate. Pension Shall not be awarded until completion of 2 terms of creditable service in the senate or 6 terms of creditable service in the House.
Congress shall make no laws respecting citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators, Representatives and Congressional Staff; and, Congress shall make no law respecting the Senators, Representatives and Congressional Staff that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.
No limits on political contributions. All political contributions must be disclosed publicly within 72 hours with the person responsible for the donation, and the person to whom the funding is given and the amount.

We don't call it the Beltway Party for nothing. All to keep the rubes in line believing that old canard about 'democracy', just so you'll fork over your sons and daughters to bleed for them.

Highly partisan? A third party such as the IG is the proper way to examine this issue? The IG is like turning the fox loose to investigate the murder in the hen house.
For crying-out-loud Congress is the third party. We elected the Pubs to control Congress to address this kind of problem. Who gives a flip whether or not you offend Queen Hillary. Go after the truth wherever that takes you. Take the gloves off and start swinging or the Pubs will be sucking hind tit again and again. This guy is a huge disappointment. Both parties are trying to protect their mutual admiration and beneficial elite society in Washington. Better start worrying about the constituents and not the special interests. Hillary and Bill along with "O" have paved the way for the Russians to take over control of our nuclear resources.

Sorry, folks. I can't keep voting Republican. I just can't do it. I know, I know. If I don't vote Republican then Hildebeest will get elected. But with Republicans like Boehner in Congress and Bush in the White House it won't make any difference anyway.

I'm with Ebbang. Vote in the primaries, but don't feel any obligation to vote for RINO's in the general just because they have an 'R' by their name.
Conservatives are to the Republican party what blacks are to the Democrats. They take us for granted because they can.

I'll vote. I'll cast a protest vote to one of the third parties. I'd consider voting Republican in the general election if they nominate somebody beside Bush. But they'll have to convince me. I'm just not automatically voting for the R candidate just because he or she has an R by their name.
Boehner's had eight years to resist Obama's recklessness but he's done nothing. Boehner and McConnel might as well be a couple of Donkeycrats themselves.
I look back at W Bush's two terms in office with remorse. He got caught flat footed on 9/11 and then again with the mortgage meltdown. Sorry, but those hijackers got into the country on his watch and they were allowed to roam freely. And now nobody in either party shows any sign of keeping their kind out of here yet. I want them all out of here. Bush's response was to go after Saddam Hussein who had nothing to do with 9/11. It was all the Soddies and the Paks and he did nothing about them.
Then there was 2008 and the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It didn't take a genius to see that coming. It was Bush's job to see it coming and do something about it. He failed.
Finally, when he said we need illegal immigrants to "do the jobs that Americans won't" that was the last straw. I don't see a dime's worth of difference between the Bushes and the Clintons.
The problem in California for the past several elections is that the primaries are all over before they come to this state so we have no influence in the nominating process. Then in the general election the state goes blue no matter what. So it won't matter how I vote anyway and if that's the case I might as well protest.
It has nothing to do with eating. Fatback and grits suit me just fine.

I'm with you. By the time the primary gets to Washington the nominee is already decided. By the time our general election votes are counted the winner is most likely already declared.
I held my nose and voted for McCain. Voted for Mitt because I thought, with all his faults, he's a decent guy and successful businessman.
I won't vote for Jeb Bush I'd rather my vote was wasted on a third party.
At least then, When the Sh*t hits the fan a democrat is standing front and center in front of it!

Boehner and others will go with the flow. The only way to make things work is to change the flow. That means a landslide. Don't get wobbly yet, there is plenty of time for that.
I see a number of decent candidates this go around and have some hope.

The solution of course is for the Government to 'manage' everyone's 401K and IRAs for them - to 'protect' them from EVIL and CORRUPT bankers and money managers.
And of course to make sure everyone gets their fair share. After all don't you think at some point you have enough retirement savings?
#6
The ultimate solution is that the gubmint will simply take 401K's, IRAs, and bank accounts - for the greater good of course. In 1933 FDR made it illegal to own gold and also invalidated terms in previously valid contracts - the US Supreme Court ratified both actions due to the "emergency", whatever it was at the time.

As per #5, iff future OWG NAU Amerika is meant to be akin to Euro-Socialist ["Liberal Socialist-Communist"? versus Communist Capitalist = Commpitalist?], then our mighty BIG[GEST] GOVT. must also control ASAP AMAP any + all private lands andor personal assets, etc. "as pertinent/necessary" as way of funding same.
