Terror Networks
Daesh adapts dark web, encryption apps

#1  Yea, yea. If it wasn't for that, the terrorists would surely be stopped.

#2  Dude, don't they know that the Darkweb was created by the NSA. Who are watching EVERYTHING.

*snicker* Or even funnier would be if Mossad owned Darkweb

#3  They do nothing while ISIS invades Europe and then they wanna outlaw encryption apps so that average, law-abiding citizens can have no privacy.

#4  Remind me again why Syria or Iraq need to be connected to the global internet?
Posted by: gorb || 11/18/2015 12:20 Comments || Top||

#5  gorb, they have firewalls for these kinds of things. Iraq and Syria can go ahead and have their own internet but there's no good reason why it has to have access to ours. These politicians wring their hands about social media recruiting of people in our country by ISIS but it's all bullshit. Simply block all the IP addresses from those countries coming into this country and the problem is solved. If they get their hands on a computer in Germany then track them down and rub them out. The only reason we are helpless to stop this nonsense is because traitors like Obama and Merkel are running the show.

Government
Champ's phony war against ISIS
[Defense Watch] In the last two weeks, ISIS has blown a Russian airliner out of the sky over the Sinai Peninsula, shot up a bar, a restaurant, a theater, detonated two suicide bombs in front of a soccer stadium in Paris and set off two bombs in Beirut. The total death toll nears 400 and the number of wounded is over 700.

Meanwhile, Obama continues to bob and weave in the foreign ring with all the aplomb of Gerry Cooney. In the last week, he authorized the release of five terrorist thugs from Gitmo and is currently leading the charge to relocate 100,000 Syrians to the US; a move that even Chris Matthews thinks is insane. In Obama's mind, ISIS is contained, our strategy is on track and we're winning the war against ISIS.

President Obama is waging a Phony War against ISIS, much like the Phony War that the dithering, ineffectual leaders of France and Britain waged against Nazi Germany from September of 1939 to May of 1940.

After declaring war on Nazi Germany, the Allies decided that the best way to secure victory was to do nothing. Sound familiar? France and Britain did nothing offensive against the Germans, in the hopes that Hitler, the Wehrmacht, the Luftwaffe and the SS would vaporize into thin air. As the French stared at the Germans across the Maginot Line, the Germans planned and trained and rehearsed for the Spring of 1940, when the Third Reich blitzkrieged across Denmark, Norway, France, Holland and Belgium.

It was only when Chamberlain was overthrown, when France was occupied, that Churchill took the stage, and rallied the British to fight alone, while waiting for the New World to come to their rescue.

We did.

#1  Well, he IS a conscientious objector in this war.
Posted by: g(r)omgoru || 11/18/2015 8:59 Comments || Top||

#2  He's also the guy who fired up Assad's Syria. The pyromaniac who created the chaos. Now he just sits aside, occasionally poking the flames while doing nothing serious to put it out. Sort of the same process he's used in race relations back in States.

#3  Follow the $s.

My odds are that individuals might well be getting offshore deposits when agreements like the Iran nuke deal are signed.

Agreements like that take mad dog actors like ISIS to make them compelling enough to bother with....

No different than Erdogan offering to stop the EU refugee stream for billions of Euros. ISIS is the mad dog driver behind that herds movement.

Lots of folks likely have a $ interest in ISIS wrecking havoc.

#4  We don't have to wait for Obama's end of term to assess his contributions to the Middle East: partition and war in Irak, triggering permanent war in Lybia, enabling the Brothers in Egypt, triggering permanent war in Syria, enabling and allowing the rise of ISIS, encouraging the radicalization of Turkey, encouraging a flood of "refugees" enabled by Turkey towards Greece and Western Europe and inviting them to the USA, supporting and protecting nuclear weapons in Iran, developing massive arms sales to Iran's neighbor countries, blissfully watching war grow in Yemen, encouraging the Taliban resurgence in Afghanistan, ... all of this while systematically undermining Israel, ... what am I missing?

#5  Just the continued attempts to disarm the American people in the face of an Islamic invasion of this country.

#9  My take is he's a naive fellow who thinks all of the worlds problems were caused by US intervention. In that light he pulled out of Iraq to quickly and refuses to get involved again.

My theory is less clear regarding supporting Syria/Libyan rebels but not supporting Iranian uprisings except to say he doesn't believe strongly in anything so there is no true unifying pattern beyond keep US troops out.

#10  No, rj, he's NOT naïve.

He knows EXACTLY what he's doing.

#12  OWG-NWO + US-WORLD MARXIST-SOCIALIST ORDER, N-O-T NATIONAL SECURITY.

Apparently, not even GLOBAL = GEOPOL SECURITY EITHER.

The Bammer is doing it INTENTIONALLY.

Party Ideology, Rivalry nor Poor Political decisions is grounds for Impeachment.

'TIS SHOULD BE CLEAR OR OBVIOUS BY NOW THAT OUR UNITARIAN SOCIALIST GOP-DEM ESTABLISHMENT IN WASHINGTON SUPPORTS OBAMA ANDOR HIS PRO ANTI-US OWG-NWO + ANTI-AMERICAN AMERIKAN AGENDA.

The more Illegals, Mexican Cartelinos, + Radical Islamists-Jihadists, etal. that legally or illegally enter the US, THE BETTER FOR ALL THE ABOVE = US-LED ANTI-US OWG-NWO + US-WORLD/GLOBAL SOCIALIST ORDER.

ITS HIGHLY DOUBTFUL THE BAMMER-N-ONLY-THE-BAMMER IS THE ONLY ANTI-US US OWG GLOBALIST POTUS OUT THERE IN US POLITICS.

DON'T FEAR ANTI-US US OWG GLOBALIST POTUS OBAMA - FEAR MORE HIS SIMILAR ANTI-US US OWG GLOBALIST POTUS SUCCESSOR(S).

Iff the former USSR can implode + be partitioned, + Syria-Iraq, and Any Each + All those to come in the ME, Etc. SO CAN AMERICA = AMERIKA.

IN THE NAME + SAKE OF GOOD US-LED ANTI-US OWG-NWO + GLOBALISM.

Home Front: Culture Wars
The Revolt of the Elites
h/t Instapundit
Jose Ortega y Gasset wrote The Revolt of the Masses in 1929. In his magnum opus, Ortega was critical of the phenomenon of "mass-man," which he saw as a harbinger of Fascism. Culture would be lowered to its lowest common denominator by the revolt of the masses, and so the achievements of civilization would be destroyed by the mob.

...However, today's battle between civilization and barbarism seems to have turned Ortega's analysis on its head. The threat to civilization at this moment appears to come not from "mass-man" but from the elites who govern without any commitment to civilization itself. From enabling the recent shootings in Paris, and allowing the looting of the Bagdhad Museum in Iraq, to permitting the destruction of Palmyra in Syria, Western elites have apparently abandoned the civilizing mission which once both defined the West and fueled the "soft power" necessary to conquer the world.

Current campus "uprisings" at Yale, Columbia, and the University of Missouri, are among the latest symptoms of elite barbarism. Uncivilized, and indeed Fascist, attitudes are obvious to the most casual observer.

#2  You must ask, Why are all the elites all so incompetent at the same time? Why does the general public behave like lemmings?
Posted by: jvalentour || 11/18/2015 8:27 Comments || Top||

#3  Why does the general public behave like lemmings?

Easy, 45 years of education by liberally trained school teachers. These were folk who couldn't hack biz or science and got programmed by their socialist/leftest profs. (many profs ex SDS)

Posted by: 3dc || 11/18/2015 9:48 Comments || Top||

#4  "Why does the general public behave like lemmings?" That is the "masses" Ortega y Gassett warned us about. They have been electing our distinguished Elite to run things. The Elite have taken off in their own direction. The masses (or at least 47%) still think they can do no wrong. When a sufficient fraction of the masses have suffered for this, they might begin to change.

#5  Why does the general public behave like lemmings? They've learned to divide using identify politics and cartoon vilification and a vast number have fallen for it. Those people are now attacking each other so we may have reached PeakID.

#6  The Chinese and Soviet populations were largely tamed. Seems like the same techniques are having some success here as well.
