Easy, 45 years of education by liberally trained school teachers. These were folk who couldn't hack biz or science and got programmed by their socialist/leftest profs. (many profs ex SDS)

#4 "Why does the general public behave like lemmings?" That is the "masses" Ortega y Gassett warned us about. They have been electing our distinguished Elite to run things. The Elite have taken off in their own direction. The masses (or at least 47%) still think they can do no wrong. When a sufficient fraction of the masses have suffered for this, they might begin to change.

#5 Why does the general public behave like lemmings? They've learned to divide using identify politics and cartoon vilification and a vast number have fallen for it. Those people are now attacking each other so we may have reached PeakID.

#6 The Chinese and Soviet populations were largely tamed. Seems like the same techniques are having some success here as well.
