#1 ....I'm picturing some guy standing in a shadowy alley, in a trenchcoat with a turned up collar and a hat pulled down low, whispering to passersby in a thick Noo Yawk accent, "Psssst...hey, kid...wanna write for the Times?"

#2 What has the NYT been saying about other strikes recently? Pro-rail/teacher/nurse/food/amazon workers or anti?

These upper-class journalists despise the American working class with the burning fury of a thousand suns but the moment this contempt is turned towards them suddenly it’s wrong and bad.

#3 Contempt for them is not suddenly happening, they are narcissist who do not realize the majority of us hate them.

#4 How could they have 1,100 employees to begin with? Talk about "bloat".

#5 Musk should buy the NYT or WAPO..

#6 #4 It's all those layers and layers of fact checkers, plus the crew that polishes Walter Duranty's Pulitzer.

#7 Crusader, those are just the journalists.
Anyway, the quality of the NYT might improve.

#10 I think the Washington Post can churn out twice as much baloney for a short period. There is a baloney cartel that regulates the media marketplace. They are rivals but this would be considered a professional curtesy.
