Don’t be parochial, Spike the Hairy6811. Every country has its own spectrum. Spin, Strangeness, and Charm defines Israeli politics as follows (scroll down past Tim Poole talking about Democrats panicking to part (b) of the post):

And by the way, a clarification for American readers: “hard right” here does not mean the same thing as in the US. Economically both UTJ and “Religious Zionism” are left-wing, statist parties who want to bankroll their constituencies with “the forgotten man”s money. In a related matter, too many — though not longtime Rantburgers — believe the politicized lie that Nazis are on the far right of the political spectrum. It first must remembered that the spectrum in Europe runs from the remaining stalwart royalists on the far right to Communists on the far left. Or rather, international socialists — at the time the Nazis were ascendant that meant Marxist-Leninist-Stalinists obedient to Moscow. The National Socialists (National Socialist German Workers' Party in full) went hard for national government control of the economy vs the international socialists’ government ownership of the economy, but functionally that just meant that the original owners got to remain as figureheads instead of being put up agains the nearest wall and shot. At the time everyone understood the Nazis, and fascists in general, to be Third Way Socialists — all the modernizing, “scientific” benefits of socialism without the icky surrender to those murderous Russians.

It was Stalin, that vicious creature of the Russian branch of the European far left, who defined Nazism/fascism as far right — because from where he stood they were to his right.

Modern neo-Nazis, as far as I can tell, also lean socialist economically, while drooling idiotically over racial nonsense, because they love the idea that they needn’t do anything to be superior except be born to the right parents.
