Condemnation is beginning to pour in and the event will likely complicate the Taliban’s relations with the international community.FORMER AFGHAN MILITARY OFFICIAL POURS COLD WATER ON RUSSIAN RECRUITMENT CLAIMS – Ajmal Omar Shinwari, a former spokesman for the Ghani regime (Defense and Security) has stated the claims made about Russia recruiting former Afghan Commandos is a rumor and that no recruitment effort is underway in Iran or anywhere else. His comments conflict with other senior Defense officials of the previous regime who say it is happening and the private military contractor (Wagner Group) is actively seeking recruits in Iran and in Afghanistan itself.

  • LARGE FIRE IN MACRORYAN – The market in the Macroryan 3 neighborhood caught fire Saturday and destroyed over ten shops. • RESISTANCE LEADER POSSIBLY EXECUTED IN BADAKHSHAN – A noted Resistance leader, Commander Jalal, was lured to Faizabad City to discuss a potential prisoner exchange with the Taliban. • NEW US / TALIBAN NEGOTIATIONS CONFIRMED – Gulbuddin Hekmatyar confirmed on Friday that new talks were underway to resolve several outstanding issues between the Taliban and the US. He suggested the talks may lead to a deal that would replace the Doha agreement (although some tenets of the original agreement would remain). For Hekmatyar’s part, he expressed concerns that the talks would anger both China and Russia and that more transparency was required.

  • FRIDAY’S MOSQUE BOMBING IN WESTERN KABUL – Late reporting yesterday indicated that an explosion had occurred at a Mosque in the 5th Police District. This information has now been confirmed and traces of an improvised explosive device were discovered at the Sheikh Mohammad Rouhani Mosque that indicated it had been pre-placed and was likely triggered by a timer set to coincide with evening prayers. The blast injured at least 7 non-combatants but local eyewitnesses say the number was slightly higher. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but the location and target choice suggest it was an ISIS-K operation.

  • COAL PRICES SET FOR WINTER – Concerns over inflation and commodity price fluctuations spurred the Taliban to form a committee under the Deputy Prime Minister to fix the price of coal for the coming winter. The committee announced that nearly a half million tons of coal had been stockpiled for Kabul alone and the price would be fixed at 9,000 afghanis per ton.

Day 2: Twin explosions leave over 100 dead in Somalia's capital, Mogadishu
Follow up to this report from yesterday,
[Garowe] At least 100 people died following twin car suicide kabooms in the Somali capital Mogadishu, a teary President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said while condemning the Death Eaters who struct after weeks of sustained operations against the group across the country.

In the company of police chief Major General Hassan Hijaar, Galmadug President Ahmed Kaliye alias Qoorqoor, President Hassan Sheikh visited the site of the devastating attack, which targeted Somalia's Ministry of Education building near Zobe junction.

The emotional president, whose spirited fight against the Death Eaters has won him accolades across the world, was taken through rubbles of the affected buildings while taking stock of other notable damages in the busy K-5 junction in downtown Mogadishu.

Apparently, the Death Eaters targeted the same site where the worst truck bombing left hundreds of people dead on October 14, 2017, an attack which remains the most sophisticated in the history of Somalia. Saturday's attack came moments after the National Consultative Council concluded its meeting on the al-Shabaab

war.

Hassan Sheikh, who assumed leadership for the second time after five years in cold on May, said over 300 people were maimed in the attack and have been taken to various hospitals for treatment. The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

is one of the countries which has promised to airlift those seriously maimed for specialized treatment.

"We will defeat and we already defeated this radical group," the Head of State said after visiting the site of the terror attack, adding that the group has resorted to retaliatory attacks after losing several strategic towns to the national army who are fighting alongside local militia.

Al-Shabaab has been under siege in different parts of Somalia for a couple of months now, with the national army alongside local militia, the African Union

Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS] and the US Africa Command hitting their hideouts in rural central and southern Somalia.

The government of Somalia recently requested the US Africa Command to loosen dronezap regulations by including permission to attack the Death Eaters before they strike. Initially, the command has only been chipping in when the local army is under attack or danger.

Earlier, Hassan Sheikh had led several other entities in condemning the attack which was the worst in as many months. Although the Death Eaters have been carrying sporadic attacks across the country, there is no time over 100 people have been killed since 2017.

"Today's cruel and cowardly terrorist attack on innocent people by the morally bankrupt and criminal al-Shabaab group cannot discourage us, but will further strengthen our resolve to defeat them once and for all. Our government & brave people will continue to defend Somalia against evil," he said.

"The UN in Somalia strongly condemns Alshabaab’s vicious attack near Mogadishu’s K-5 junction today. It extends its condolences to the families of the victims, wishes a speedy recovery for those injured, and stands resolutely with all Somalis against terrorism," the UN noted.

"My thoughts are with the families of all who died and with those who were maimed in today’s barbaric attacks. My government remains committed to fighting and eliminating the terrorist group al-Shabaab from our country, " added PM Hamza Abdi Barre.

Most of those who died were women and kiddies who were undertaking their private activities in the capital with senior coppers and journalists said to have been some of the fatalities. The country has vowed to eliminate the Death Eaters completely through military and ideological tactics.

Burkina Faso ambush kills 13 soldiers: security sources
[AlAhram] Suspected jihadists have ambushed and killed 13 soldiers in Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
's eastern province, security sources told AFP on Sunday in the latest violence to shake the insurgency-torn west African nation.

Four members of the defence forces were also maimed in Saturday's attack along the road linking Fada N'Gourma with Natiaboani, one of the sources said.

"Reinforcements have been deployed to secure the zone and carry out a search," a second source added, confirming the casualty toll. The unit that came under fire had been sent to relieve a detachment from Natiaboani.

The ambush comes after the powerful Support Group for Islam and Moslems (GSIM),
...JNIM in Arabic...
, affiliated to al-Qaeda which is linked to al-Qaeda, claimed Friday it carried out an attack on a military base in Djibo, a major northern town that has been under a jihadist blockade for three months.

The army said at least 10 soldiers died and 50 were maimed in that "terrorist" assault on the 14th regiment on Monday.

The army added it killed 18 "terrorists" in mopping-up operations.

GSIM also grabbed credit for an attack on a supply convoy heading for Djibo on September 26 that left 37 dead -- 27 of them soldiers. Dozens of truck drivers are still missing.

That assault helped trigger the latest coup in Burkina just four days later, led by young army captain Ibrahim Traore. He became interim president on October 21, vowing to win back territory from jihadists.

It was Burkina's second coup in eight months, driven by a seven-year insurgency that has claimed thousands of lives and driven nearly two million people from their homes.

The new government on Wednesday declared securing the Sahel state's territory would be top priority.

More than a third of national territory remains outside government control.

The authorities also launched a drive to recruit 50,000 civilian defence volunteers to back up the army as the number of attacks increases.

A UN envoy warned this week that 4.9 million people, or a fifth of Burkina's population, need urgent aid as many "mothers were forced to feed their children with leaves and salt".

Arabia
CIA successfully helps Islah Party official escape from Saudi Arabia
Why?
[HODHODYEMENNEWS] The United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) managed on Saturday to smuggle a prominent leader of the Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
i Islah Party from his detention center in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
Media outlets reported, quoting Munir al-Mawri, a Yemeni politician residing in the United States, as saying that the party’s Secretary-General, Abdel Wahab al-Ansi, upon his arrival in Michigan State of US, began holding meetings with leaders of his party in the city of Hamtramck.

Al-Ansi arrived in the United States under the pretext of medical treatment.

Al-Mawri accused al-Ansi of seeking to acquire the Yemeni community in the United States under the pretext of uniting the Yemeni community in America.

Al-Ansi is one of the Yemeni politicians that Saudi Arabia has placed under house arrest, and his smuggling from Riyadh coincided with the escalation of Islah against the Saudi-led coalition’s efforts to root it out, indicating an American attempt to re-use it against Riyadh, especially in light of the escalation of differences between UAE and Riyadh in the war on Yemen.

#4  In September 1990 the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) was founded. Among its members were intellectuals and Muslim Brothers. Its powerful leader, Shaykh Abd al-Majid Zindani was a Muslim Brother and considered responsible for sending some 20,000 Yemenis to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. He was close to Rariq al-Fadli the founder of Yemen's Islamic Jihad movement. From 1990-1995 the Islah "established some 600 institutes and educational centers controlled by Muslim Brothers." Islah also created charities, and sought to enlist tribal leaders in the movement. Eventually, the most revolutionary members were found within the Ulama which concentrated on students and the younger generation.
The Islah has never denied its Islamic roots, and why the US should be involved with any of its present leaders is indeed a mystery.

#6  why the US should be involved with any of its present leaders is indeed a mystery.

Slavising Unineting5672, there is the romantic idea that the Muslim Brotherhood in its various branches are moderate Muslims in comparison to the openly totalitarian Al Qaeda, etc. And since the ascendence of Islamist governments in the Ummah is inevitable — like Communism — best to manage the decline/surrender so as to have some impact on the resulting awfulness.

The alternative being to actually fully commit to fighting against them, which would result in being called a neocon.

#8  Barack Obama and his State Department cheered on the Muslim Brotherhood as it took charge in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya. And chaos ensued. It now seems that the Biden administration is playing stupid games. They may think the Ikhwan is a legitimate Egyptian political movement, but practically from its inception the founder Hasan al-Banna created an Islamist element whose purpose was subversion. And it exists to this day although the Ikhwan is for the moment centered in Turkey.

Britain
Attacker hurls firebombs at UK immigration center before killing himself
[IsraelTimes] Incident takes place in the English port town of Dover, the arrival point for many migrants colonists who cross the English Channel from La Belle France in small boats.

An attacker threw Molotov cocktails at an immigration center in the English port town of Dover on Sunday before killing himself, officials said. One other person was lightly injured.

The Kent Police force said "two to three incendiary devices" were thrown at the facility where recently arrived migrants colonists are taken, and "one minor injury has been reported." The Kent Fire and Rescue Service said its crews had put out fires at the site.

A news photographer at the scene said a man drove up and threw three gas bombs at the facility before driving to a nearby gas station and killing himself.

Local politician Natalie Elphicke said the center had been "Molotov cocktailed with [a] number of devices" and "the man thought responsible killed himself shortly thereafterwards."

"I understand that all the people who are at the center are being looked after and precautions are being made for their safety," she said.

Dover is the arrival point for many migrants colonists who cross the English Channel from La Belle France in small boats. The number of people making the hazardous journey across one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes has risen sharply in recent years, with 40,000 reaching the UK so far this year, up from 28,000 in all of 2021 and 8,500 in 2020.

Dozens have died, including 27 people in November 2021, when a packed smuggling boat capsized. Britannia and La Belle France have wrangled over how to stop the people-smuggling gangs that organize the journeys.

Britannia’s Conservative government has announced a controversial plan to send people who arrive in small boats on a one-way journey to Rwanda. Critics say the plan is immoral and impractical, and it is being challenged in the courts.

Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick said he was being kept updated on the incident by police.

"My sympathies are with those involved and my thanks and admiration are with Kent Police and Border Force officers as they go about their essential work to keep us safe," he said.
Breitbart adds details at 1:20 a.m. ET:
The unnamed man, described as being "white" by a photographer, is said to have attacked a newly-minted Border Force facility in Dover with petrol bombs on Sunday. The facility is said to be one of the main locations where migrants colonists are initially processed after landing in Britannia, although so far there is no known motive for the attack.

According to a report by a photographer working for the news agency Rooters, the individual is said to have driven up to the Border Force facility used for processing migrants colonists in a SEAT sports utility vehicle.

The individual is then said to have thrown three petrol bombs, which were reportedly attached to fireworks, at the compound, one of which failed to go off.

He is then said to have driven to a nearby petrol station, where he fastened a makeshift noose to a metal pole.

Putting the other end of the noose around his neck, the man is said to have killed himself by driving off.

3 wounded in attack on anti-regime vigil outside Iranian embassy in Berlin
[IsraelTimes] Several assailants tear down flags and banners outside caravan, scuffle with group of men inside, then flee the scene by car

Three men were maimed early Sunday when a pro-democracy vigil outside the Iranian embassy in Berlin was attacked, German police said.

An officer guarding the property saw several men, whose faces were covered with scarves, tearing down flags and banners from a caravan parked outside.

They then tried to rip open the door of the caravan, and a scuffle and argument erupted between four men who were inside and the attackers.

The men from the caravan chased the other group — and were then attacked by them, police said. Three of the men from the vehicle were maimed, with two needing medical treatment.

The attackers fled by car.

The caravan was papered by posters with slogans such as "Women, Life, Freedom," which has been commonly used in anti-government protests in Iran, German media reported.

There have been large protests in Germany and other European countries in solidarity with women-led demonstrations in Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
sparked by the death in jug of Mahsa Amini.

The Iranian protests, now in their seventh week, are the largest seen in the Islamic Theocratic Republic for years.

They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
in Syria, where she led an all-female military battalion, is to be sentenced Tuesday for providing support to a foreign terrorist group.

Allison Fluke-Ekren,
... mother of five, wife of three jihadis — sequentially, they kept getting killed, first the sniper, then the Bangladeshi drone expert, then the failed defender of Raqqa—teacher, home schooler, fluent in Arabic, Turkish, and Spanish. Two of the kids escaped her clutches, getting themselves to safety with her first husband (who was unromantically uninterested in jihad) in America...
42, faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to terror charges in June in a US District Court in Alexandria, Virginia.

"For at least eight years, Fluke-Ekren committed terrorist acts on behalf of three foreign terrorist organizations across war zones in Libya, Iraq, and Syria," US attorney Raj Parekh said in a pre-sentencing memo.

"Fluke-Ekren brainwashed maiden of tender yearss and trained them to kill," Parekh said. "She carved a path of terror, plunging her own children into unfathomable depths of cruelty by physically, psychologically, emotionally, and sexually abusing them."

Parekh, urging Judge Leonie Brinkema to impose the maximum 20-year sentence, traced Fluke-Ekren's path from her upbringing on an 81-acre (33-hectare) farm in Kansas to her apprehension in Syria after the 2019 territorial defeat of IS.

While other Americans traveled to Syria and Iraq to join IS, most were men and Fluke-Ekren is the rare American woman who occupied a senior position in the ranks of the now defunct Islamic Caliphate.

Born Allison Brooks, she grew up in a "loving and stable home" in Overbrook, Kansas, and was considered a "gifted" student, the US attorney said.

She dropped out of high school in her sophomore year, however, and married a local man named Fluke, with whom she had two children.

Her son from that marriage testified anonymously about years of abuse inflicted on him and his siblings by their mother.

"My mother is a monster without love for her children, without an excuse for her actions," said her son, who plans to attend Tuesday's sentencing in Alexandria. "She has the blood, pain, and suffering of all of her children on her hands."

After leaving her first husband, Fluke-Ekren attended the University of Kansas, where she married a fellow student named Volkan Ekren and became a Moslem. She later earned a teaching certificate from a college in Indiana.

They had five children together and adopted another after the child's parents were killed as jacket wallahs in Syria.

'EXTREMIST IDEOLOGY AND VIOLENCE'
In 2008, the family moved to Egypt and in 2011 to Libya where, the US attorney said, "Fluke-Ekren's dogged pursuit to obtain positions of power and influence to train young women in murderous Moslem ideology and violence began."

They were in Benghazi in September 2012 when the Islamic murderous Moslem group Ansar al-Sharia
...a Salafist militia which claims it is not part of al-Qaeda, even though it works about the same and for the same ends. There are groups of the same name in Libyaand Yemen, with the Libyan versions currently most active. Tunisia's Shabaab al-Tawhid started out an Ansar al-Sharia and changed its name in early 2014. It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet...
attacked the US mission and CIA office there, killing the US ambassador and three other Americans.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF: 5 soldiers hurt in ramming attack near Jericho; Palestinian assailant shot dead
[IsraelTimes] Ambulance service says two victims in moderate condition, another three lightly maimed; attack comes day after deadly terror shooting in Hebron.

A Paleostinian driver plowed his vehicle into Israeli soldiers at two locations south of the West Bank city of Jericho on Sunday afternoon, injuring five of them before being rubbed out, officials said.

Police and the Israel Defense Forces said the Paleostinian attacker first rammed into soldiers near Nabi Musa, then continued driving and slammed his car into a bus stop at the Almog Junction.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said its medics were taking five victims, all in their 20s, to hospitals in Jerusalem.

Two were listed in moderate condition and the rest were lightly hurt, MDA added.

The IDF said troops fired at the attacker following the initial ramming near Nabi Musa, but he fled and plowed into a bus stop at Almog Junction, where he was shot by a police officer and another armed civilian.

The Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center said the attacker had been brought to the hospital at death's door before he died several hours later.

The attack came hours after a Paleostinian man carried out a deadly shooting attack near the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba on Saturday night.

In that attack, Muhammed Kamel al-Jabari, an apparent member of the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror group, shot up a Jewish father and son who had been shopping at a Paleostinian-owned convenience store, between Kiryat Arba and the adjacent city of Hebron. He then left the scene by car and returned on foot several minutes later, and opened fire on medics and settlement security guards who arrived at the scene to help the pair.

Al-Jabari killed the father, who was later named as Ronen Hanania, and maimed four other people, one of them seriously — a medic. A Paleostinian man was also among the injured.

IDF sends reinforcements to West Bank, will impose closure during election day
[IsraelTimes] After Israeli man is rubbed out near Hebron and 5 soldiers are hurt in ramming near Jericho, military and police to deploy additional forces to area

The Israel Defense Forces on Sunday announced it would be bolstering the West Bank with additional troops and police forces, following a series of attacks against civilians and Israeli troops over the past day, including a deadly attack Saturday night.

Separately, the IDF said it would be imposing a closure on border crossings between Israel and the West Bank and Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip during election day on Tuesday. The closure is set to begin on November 1 at 00:01 a.m. and is expected to last until 11:59 p.m.

The manpower reinforcement is slated to comprise IDF company and several Border Police units that are to be deployed in the Hebron area in the southern West Bank and near Jerusalem.

Earlier this year, the IDF deployed a large number of additional troops to the West Bank, most in its north, amid a widespread anti-terror offensive following a series of Paleostinian attacks that killed 19 people.

An Israeli man was killed in a terror shooting near the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba on Saturday night, and another woman was killed in a suspected attack in the Israeli city of Holon last month.

Four soldiers have also been killed in the West Bank in attacks and during the arrest operations in recent weeks. With 25 people killed as a result of Paleostinian attacks so far, 2022 is shaping up as the deadliest year since 2015, when 29 people were killed.

Earlier Sunday, a Paleostinian driver plowed his vehicle into Israeli soldiers at two locations south of the West Bank city of Jericho, injuring five of them before being shot.

The anti-terror offensive launched earlier this year and focused on the northern West Bank has netted more than 2,000 arrests in near-nightly raids.

It has also left over 125 Paleostinians dead, many of them — but not all — while carrying out attacks or during festivities with security forces.

The UN Mideast envoy said Saturday that 2022 is on course to be the deadliest year for Paleostinians in the West Bank since the UN started tracking fatalities in 2005.

The IDF said the border crossings for Paleostinians closed during election day would reopen "subject to a situational assessment."

Such closures are standard practice during festivals and holidays, in what the military says is a preventative measure against attacks at those times, which are seen as periods of increased tension.

Exceptions during the upcoming closure will be made for humanitarian and other outstanding cases, but will require the approval of the Defense Ministry’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.

Palestinian attacker shot dead after killing Israeli in West Bank
[AnNahar] A Paleostinian assailant rubbed out an Israeli in the flashpoint West Bank city of Hebron on Saturday and maimed four others, including another Paleostinian, before being killed by a security guard.

The shooting comes just days before Israel holds its fifth election in less than four years and with violence surging in the West Bank, a Paleostinian territory occupied by Israel since 1967.

Extreme-right Israeli politician Itamar Ben-Gvir, whose Religious Zionism alliance is eyeing major gains in elections on Tuesday, claimed on Twitter that his Hebron home was the target.

Israel's security forces have not confirmed the allegation and Israeli media, citing security sources, have reported Ben-Gvir's home in a Hebron settlement was not targeted.

Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency response service initially reported five maimed, including a 50-year-old Israeli man left "unconscious with an injury to his upper body".

A spokesperson for Jerusalem's Hadassah Medical Center told AFP that man later died of his wounds.

The other Israelis suffered less severe injuries, the MDA said, while the Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy reported that the Paleostinian victim was being treated at a Hebron area hospital.

Israel's army said "a terrorist shot live fire" near a checkpoint in Hebron, a West Bank city which is also home to a community of hardline Jewish settlers.

An army spokesperson told AFP that an Israeli security guard shot the attacker dead at the scene.

"Soldiers are conducting searches in the area" for additional suspects, the army said.
