I preferred DJTs treatment of Russia. It was firm, respectful and no-nonsense. The thing in Syria too wasn't dialled down to any significant level, but even so he was building a live-and-let-live rapport. True balance of power.

But then DJT was not real GOP. He was just 100% sane.

- set off a civil war that began in 2014 and that continues to this day

- bullied a weak amateurish new Ukrainian president into rejecting the peace platform he ran on and was elected to pursue, forcing him to walk away from the Minsk accords and escalating the war

- goaded that puppet president into making unreasonable and foolish demands — eg “taking back” Crimea — thereby pushing the US and Russia to the brink of a nuclear war.

Nuclear war. Largely because of the wicked and extraordinary influence of these monsters.
