Arizona deputies, K-9, track down suspects allegedly trafficking $1.4M worth of fentanyl, deputies say
[FoxNews] Law enforcement officers in Arizona discovered 72,000 suspected fentanyl pills during a traffic stop leading to a police chase involving a fleeing suspect.

Police said the suspected fentanyl pills were worth $1.4 million.

Navajo County Sheriff's deputies seized the suspected fentanyl pills during a traffic stop on Monday.

Officials said that the driver and the passenger were asked to step out of the vehicle.

Once they had stepped out, the passenger, 29-year-old Rafael Quihui Andrade, ran to the driver's side and drove away, leaving the other suspect, 37-year-old Iracema Ramirez along the highway.
Whatta prince.
"In a split second, Rafael ran to the driver’s seat and fled the traffic stop eastbound, leaving the female on the side of the road," deputies told Fox 10.

Another deputy went after Andrade and found the abandoned car 3 miles away from the initial traffic stop.

A search for Andrade commenced with Navajo County deputies eventually finding the suspect hiding behind rocks in the desert.

Police performed a free air sniff with a K-9, and the dog alerted authorities to the presence of drugs.

However, law enforcement did not find an illegal substance inside the vehicle.

Detectives searched the area between the traffic stop and the location of the car and discovered a duffel bag with the illegal fentanyl pills.

The two suspects, both from Phoenix, were booked into the Navajo County Jail on a $1.5 million cash-only bond on drug charges and unlawful flight from law enforcement.

Border officers in Texas find liquid meth in condoms hidden in pumpkins
[FoxNews] Border officers in Texas found more than $402,000 worth of liquid methamphetamine held in condoms that were hidden inside pumpkins during a vehicle inspection, authorities said.

The seizure was discovered Tuesday at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry and was among Halloween decorations inside a vehicle, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said.

"Our frontline CBP officers have seen just about everything and this Tuesday was no exception as they encountered liquid methamphetamine hidden within pumpkins," said acting Port Director Elizabeth Garduno.

Border officers were at the Camino Real International Bridge when they encountered a 2012 Ford Escape arriving from Mexico. The driver was subsequently referred for a secondary inspection.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers found 44 pounds of liquid meth hidden within 136 condoms inside four pumpkins.

The vehicle and drugs were confiscated and the driver was arrested by the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office.

Somalia soldiers confront Al-Shabaab, kills over 20 militants
[Garowe] Over 20 al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
Death Eaters were on Wednesday killed in Somalia following a battle with the Somali National Army [SNA], state media reported, in the latest victory against the terrorists, who control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

Military sources said the Death Eaters were targeting a nearby Forward Operating Base [FOB], but the army managed to repulse them, after a confrontation that lasted for several hours. Dozens of the Death Eaters were maimed during the skirmish, reports indicate.

The base, which is located in Yasoman village within Hiran province, was the target of the attack, with the Death Eaters often going for security forces, innocent civilians, and senior government officials in their cowardly attacks. Most army bases are usually the target.

Just like in the recent battles, the situation was salvaged by armed local militia who joined the fight. Fundamentally, it's the local militia who were first to give the Somali National Army a tip, leading to a serious and vicious fight between the two parties.

The army said at least three Somali soldiers were killed in the fighting. Soldiers have often borne the brunt of al-Shabaab attacks not only in Somalia but also across the borders, triggering President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to call for collective responsibility in the war against al-Shabaab.
The battle in the Yasooman area near Bulo Burde town also claimed the lives of three government soldiers, according to a statement from the ministry of information.

The militants attacked a military base in an attempt to retake the area days after Al-Shabaab lost it to Somali troops backed by armed local residents known as Ma’wisley.

On its side, Al-Shabaab said 117 soldiers died in the morning attack and claimed its fighters regained control of the location which sits on the outskirts of Bulo-Burde town.

Ahmed Mufti, Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) natural resources deputy minister, told Rudaw that the key field, operated by the UAE-based Dana Gas, was attacked with eight rockets but the company continues producing gas.

"The attack was carried out with Katyusha rockets but did not cause any casualties," said Mufti.

The Kurdistan Region has been facing an unprecedented number of rocket and drone attacks since the beginning of the year, mostly blamed on Iran-backed militias.

Khor Mor gas field has been targeted with rockets and explosive-laden drones several times, with the latest one being in late July.

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said in June that he was troubled by the attacks on Khor Mor, noting that additional security forces will be deployed to the area.

Khor Mor field produces 452 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, according to Dana Gas.

Soldier killed in shooting attack Tuesday while securing settler march in northern West Bank
[IsraelTimes] Armed Paleostinian faction claims responsibility for attack that killed Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch; guard seriously maimed in Saturday attack near Jerusalem still in intensive care

An Israeli soldier was killed in a shooting near the settlement of Shavei Shomron in the northern West Bank on Tuesday, the military said. The Israel Defense Forces said the soldier, later named as Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch, was seriously hurt and was taken by ambulance for medical treatment at the Meir Medical Center. Baruch, 21, was from the central town of Gedera and of the military’s Givati infantry brigade, part of its reconnaissance unit. His death was later declared by medical staff at the hospital in Kfar Saba.

A gunman apparently opened fire from a passing vehicle and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace at a high speed, according to the IDF’s initial probe of the shooting. Security camera footage showed the car fleeing the area, passing by a military vehicle, toward the Paleostinian town of Deir Sharaf.

The attack came as settlers held a march near the adjacent Paleostinian town of Sebastia over a string of recent shootings in the West Bank. The soldier was part of a unit securing the march. The organizers said the march continued as planned following the shooting, which it said occurred several kilometers away.

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
It has grabbed credit for numerous attacks in the northern West Bank in recent weeks, including one targeting another demonstration held by settlers near Nablus.

Amid searches for the alleged gunman, shooting was heard in the Deir Sharaf area.

In arrest raids across the West Bank early Tuesday, 10 wanted Paleostinians were arrested and several firearms were seized, the IDF said.

in 2011 prisoner swap.

The Shin Bet security agency announced Wednesday that forces had arrested in recent weeks four Paleostinians who planned to commit shooting attacks under orders of the Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, terror group in the Gaza Strip.

The group received its directions from Belal Basharat, a Hamas terrorist released from an Israeli prison in the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner swap and deported to Gaza, the agency said.

The Shin Bet said Basharat was a member of the Gaza-based terror group’s so-called "West Bank headquarters," a unit involved in advancing terror attacks against Israel from the West Bank.

The Shin Bet named the two "main" suspects as Anas Maraeva, 25, from the town of Ras Atiya near the West Bank city of Qalqilya, and Aslam Tubasi, 26, from Tamun in the northern West Bank. Tubasi is Basharat’s brother-in-law, according to the agency.

Belal instructed the pair to purchase weapons and obtain information in order to carry out shooting attacks against both civilians and Israeli soldiers, the Shin Bet charged.

A weapon in their possession was seized, along with cash sent to them from Hamas in Gaza, the Shin Bet said.

The service warned that the Gaza-based terrorist group was increasingly trying to carry out attacks in the West Bank and Israel.

"In recent years, many directives by terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip have been identified, exploiting Paleostinians living in [the West Bank] to advance terrorist activities. Hamas operatives from the Gaza Strip transfer funds and armaments to operatives in the Gaza Strip in order to carry out attacks against Israeli targets," the Shin Bet said.

East Jerusalem quiets after hours of riots as police brace for more clashes
[IsraelTimes] Fresh arrests as fighting spreads beyond Shuafat refugee camp; bigwig says Jerusalem situation ’liable to get out of hand’

A tenuous calm appeared to return to East Jerusalem on Thursday morning after hours of festivities in Paleostinian neighborhoods throughout the city, with Israeli security forces gearing up for the possibility of more fighting in the coming days.

Paleostinian protesters hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails, launched fireworks and set tires and garbage dumpsters on fire in several neighborhoods through Wednesday night and into the early hours of Thursday, as riots over the closure of the Paleostinian refugee camp of Shuafat spread to other areas of the cities, sparking some of the heaviest fighting seen there in over a year. Police have been searching Shuafat for the suspected gunman behind a shooting attack at a nearby checkpoint Saturday night that left a soldier dead and another guard hospitalized at death's door.

Police are expected to bolster force numbers throughout the capital in the coming days, the Kan public broadcaster reported. Four Border Police reserves units are on notice of potential call-up to help secure the city, according to Haaretz. A decision on whether to deploy the units was expected to be made later Thursday morning, the report said.

"This is not Guardian of the Walls 2, but the situation in Jerusalem is liable to get out of hand," a senior security source told Kan, referring to the conflict between Israel and Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. terror groups last May and its accompanying violence between Jews and Arabs in Israel.

Police said two officers were lightly injured by shrapnel from suspected improvised explosives in the neighborhood of Issawiya. Footage from the neighborhood later in the night showed an army jeep that appeared to have caught fire.

Officials said Thursday morning that 23 people were tossed into the calaboose in connection with the rioting in Jerusalem over the past days, with nine detained in raids on their homes in Issawiya on suspicion of involvement in the violence.

All through the night, the booms of fireworks and sound grenades echoed through parts of the capital, with festivities reported in neighborhoods throughout East Jerusalem. In Sheikh Jarrah there were reports of fighting between Jews and Arabs, both groups apparently armed with rocks. There were also reports of violence in Silwan, Kafr Aqab and A-Tur.

The violence came amid rising unrest in the capital and the West Bank, where sporadic festivities were also reported Wednesday night.

Earlier on Wednesday, a Paleostinian teenager was rubbed out by Israeli forces during festivities with troops near Hebron, and on Tuesday, an Israeli soldier was killed in a shooting near Nablus while securing a settler march.

Israeli troops reportedly came under fire in Nablus again early Thursday as they escorted a small group of Jewish pilgrims to Joseph’s Tomb in the city. The Jewish worshipers, including Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, reportedly arrived in armored personnel carriers, a change from previous visits in armored buses escorted by the military. There was no immediate comment from the IDF on the visit or possible injuries.

There have been several days of rioting in Shuafat, where Israeli forces have imposed a closure since Saturday night following the shooting attack at the nearby checkpoint. The rioting came as Jewish Israelis were celebrating the Sukkot holiday, which generally draws thousands of visitors to Jerusalem and its Old City, often raising tensions with Paleostinian residents.

In Beit Hanina, stone-throwers broke the windows of a car carrying a Jewish family, forcing them to flee the area. The father of the family told the Ynet news site that they had been on their way to visit Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem when he made a wrong turn and was instead set upon by an angry mob. On Thursday morning, he told the Kan public broadcaster that he believed he and his family were lucky to escape.

"They threw a stone that we only saw later had landed near the child’s feet, but miraculously nothing happened. The window next to the child was smashed and [rioters] tried to punch her," said the man, named only as Yaakov by the network.

Police said Thursday that two people have been arrested in connection with that attack.

Video from Ras al-Amud showed a hail of fireworks, reportedly directed at apartments owned by Jewish families who have settled in the area. A car carrying Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, on his way to a complex of Jewish-owned apartments abutting the neighborhood for a Sukkot celebration, was reportedly pelted with stones. Other footage showed a man in Jewish garb fleeing as fireworks explode on the ground all around him, and a video showed what appeared to be a police jeep surrounded by flames.

Public Security Minister Omer Barlev said police and Border Police were working to get the unrest under control.

"We have no intention of allowing this violence to continue and we are determined to act harshly against anyone who disturbs the peace and endangers residents or police," he said in a statement after meeting with police commissioner Kobi Shabtai and top Jerusalem cop Doron Turgeman.
An 18-year-old Paleostinian was killed by Israeli gunfire near the al-Aroub refugee camp on Wednesday, Paleostinian and Israeli officials said, as tensions spiked across the West Bank. According to the Paleostinian Authority health ministry, the young man, identified by Paleostinian media as Osama Mahmoud Adawi, was shot amid festivities with Israeli troops. The Israel Defense Forces said Adawi was hurling stones at Israeli cars. According to the IDF, several masked men threw rocks at cars driving on Route 60, the West Bank’s main north-south highway, near the refugee camp north of the Paleostinian city of Hebron.

"The IDF responded by shooting at them," the military said in a statement, adding that a "hit was identified."

The festivities came at a time of rising violence in the West Bank, where two soldiers were killed in shooting attacks on Saturday and Tuesday, one near Jerusalem and the second near Nablus.

On Wednesday evening, police said Paleostinian button men shot up a Border Police position at the Qalandia crossing near Jerusalem, without causing any injuries. The troops stationed in the area returned fire and were searching for the suspects who fired from the nearby town, according to police. There were no immediate reports of Paleostinian injuries in the exchange of fire.

The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday morning imposed a closure on Nablus following the Tuesday attack that killed Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch, as troops continued to search for the alleged gunman, who expeditiously departed at a goodly pace.

Police forces also clashed with Paleostinians in the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem for the fourth day in a row, during searches for Udai Tamimi,
Oh lord, not another member of the troublesome al-Tamimi clan originally from the village of Nabi Salih — near Ramallah in the West Bank — that has for several generations waged war, both kinetic and propaganda as opportunity and individual temperament require, against Israel’s Jews. SDF announces death of five fighters by Turkey in northern Syria
[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Wednesday announced that five of its fighters were killed by the Ottoman Turkish army in Syria’s northern town of Ain Issa this week on the third anniversary of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
’s military operation in the area.

Sunday marked the third anniversary of Turkey’s offensive against the SDF in northern Syria which led to the invasion of the Kurdish towns of Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain) and Gire Spi (Tal Abyad). The SDF said on Wednesday that Ankara continues violating the ceasefire it separately signed with Americans and Russians at the time.

The SDF also identified five of its fighters who were killed during Turkey’s attacks, supported by its Syrian mercenaries, in Ain Issa town which borders Sari Kani and Gire Spi between Sunday and Wednesday.

"The Ottoman Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries are still launching daily attacks and attacks on various regions of northern and eastern Syria, using various types of weapons, including drones, targeting infrastructure and civilian homes, as well as fighters stationed at their military points," read a statement by the SDF.

Turkey has claimed that it has killed a number of SDF forces in Syria in recent days but it is not clear if they included the five fighters announced dead by the SDF.

Turkey claims that the People’s Protection Units (YPG), backbone of the SDF, is the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) - gang fighting for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey. Ankara considers the PKK and YPG terrorist organizations.

Turkey and its Syrian mercenaries have carried out two major military operations against the SDF in northern Syria since 2018.

Iran supreme leader says 'enemies' involved in protests

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...
on Wednesday said "enemies" were involved in street violence that erupted last month over the death of Mahsa Amini.

Khamenei has already accused the United States, Israel and their "agents" of fomenting the unrest sparked by Amini's death after her arrest for allegedly failing to adhere to the Islamic republic's strict dress code for women.

"Today, everyone confirms the involvement of the enemies in these street riots," Khamenei said Wednesday in a televised meeting with the Expediency Council, an advisory body.

"The actions of the enemy, such as propaganda, trying to influence minds, creating excitement, encouraging and even teaching the manufacture of incendiary materials, are now completely clear," he said, without identifying the enemy.

Earlier Wednesday, the judiciary said it had charged more than 100 people over the protests in Tehran and Hormozgan provinces.

"Some of these people are either enemy agents or... aligned with the enemy, and some are excited people," Khamenei said.

"The judicial and security authorities must do their duty" in dealing with the "enemy agents", he said.

Since September 16, dozens of people -- mainly protesters but also members of the security forces -- have been killed while hundreds of others have been arrested in several cities across the country.
