#1 Had a co-worker who kept a plaque on his desk that said "God so loved the World He didn't send a committee." I used to jerk him around by asking "Who were the 12 apostles, then?"

#4 I really just find some of this sh!t insane beyond belief. Figures it would come from a G-man. That speaks volumes. They also can't get over the fact that Trump can't be bought.

#5 They only want their "approved" people to be voted for. That speaks volumes for what Trump is doing.

#7 Vetting? I thought the bureau had that nailed down with people like Carter Page, James Comey, Peter Strzok. Was there a problem ?

#8 Much like Iran indeed. Only officially sanctioned cannidates allowed.

#9 "We got this wrong, and this can’t happen again," said Frank Figliuzzi, who was briefly the assistant director of the FBI under President Obama.

Who the bloody farking Hell are you to dictate what's "wrong" or "right" for the rest of us?

I look forward to the day when arrogant, totalitarian assholes like this guy are all dangling by the neck from lampposts.

We already have the only vetting committee we need: it's called the American People.

Deal with it.

#10 Who was more vulnerable -- a billionaire who owes money on profitable deal estate, an abusive womanizer, or a drug-user who goes for guys on the down-low?

#11 "We got this wrong, and this can’t happen again," said Frank Figliuzzi, who was briefly the assistant director of the FBI under President Obama.

Glad, the guy is no longer assistant director of the FBI. Hopefully, he is gone from the FBI. The FBI got royally fokked-up under Obummer.

Echo the comment above: When the FBI gets to say who can run for president it's time to disband the FBI.

We, the citizens/voters will do the vetting of a candidate for POTUS.

#13 Of course, first we'd have to form a committee to vet the vetters. Or we could just, I dunno, have a vote.

#14 Who vetted Frank?

#15 According to Wikipedia, Mr. Figliucci is no longer formally with the FBI:

Following his FBI service, Figliuzzi joined General Electric and served for five years as Assistant Chief Security Officer for investigations, insider threat, workplace violence prevention, and special event security for GE's 300,000 employees in 180 countries. Figliuzzi is currently a frequent National Security Contributor for NBC and MSNBC News.

Separately, it sounds like he was reasonably heroic as a Delaware state trooper. A pity he picked up bad ideas of ruler vs ruled as he rose through the ranks at the FBI.

#16 Obama raised salaries to the level of Kings and Queens for deep state and then brought in loyalists. They are just trying to protect their gravy train.

#17 First, how about a Peoples Tribunal, outside of the internal government organs (aka DoJ), for senior government officials that somehow escape other punishment for lying under oath, filing false official documents, or leaking information.
