#4 The transfusion idea will mostly eliminate the need for vaccines.

Having said that the people in the UK should be first to have access to a vaccine developed and tested there.

#5 We'll need a lot of donors of plasma from what I understand. And I understand use of plasma was occurring months ago (with success), so it is nothing new (relative to COVID).

I went to get blood work done recently, and I was basically stunned that not only would they not test me for COVID (fine by me), they were not in the least bit interested in testing me for any anti-bodies. O.k., whatev-uh.

#7 Clem, hospitals will have a list of people they've treated for Covid and they'll ask them to come back and donate and I'm confident a large number will donate. Plasma lasts a lot longer than regular blood.

It seems the FDA chief made a mistake in his presentation - the efficiency of convalescent plasma is 3.5% not 35%..
Part of it can be due to varying levels of specific antibody in convalescents' plasma.
We'll have to wait for monoclonal anti covid antibodies which can be produced in any desired quantity.

Most of it due to the fact that anti covid antibodies can't touch virus infected cells - you need HCQ+zinc (or T killer cells) for it. That is, passive immunization has co be combined with HCQ+zinc.

#9 @ rjschwarz - Gotchya. I've given blood often in Red Cross drives but never gave plasma. I used to know guys in college who would give (sell) their plasma twice a week. I'd be willing to do donate...if....
