#2 Reputable polls are already showing the middle is being rapidly lost so yes, the demoncrats are starting to get into full panic mode.

#3 That they didn't think this might/would happen makes them more retarded than I'd ever imagined. But, that's TDS for ya. I wonder if TDS will make it into the next update of the DSM.

#4 I remember seeing polls in the past (maybe six + years or so ago) that asked people what they thought of people in Congress (it was on Reason.com - maybe a Matt Welch article). What stood out to me was this - a strong majority of them wanted to throw all the other bums out but were okay with their own Reps and Senators. This notion is supported by the fact that incumbents win reelection 85-90% of the time. I wonder how much that will change this time around?

#5 ^ If they aren't getting serious shit under these circumstances, they'll be in office forever

#6 There is a reason congress only has a 8-13% favorable rating and a 93% unfavorable.

They keep voting their own bums back in.

#7 Based on the hearing today, you have to wonder what those 8-13% are thinking.

#8 8-13% work for the swamp in some capacity.

How is the concept that areas with liberal majorities don't like conservative pols representing other areas and vice versa so surprising?

#10 ZF - I don't think it broke down like that; it seemed to be across the board is what I recall from the article. I'll do my best to see if I can dig that article out.

#11 Oh - and I just shit my pants on that one with the lib / con comparison. Given that voters are largely locked in anyway, you're right.

I'll go eat a bag of dicks now...

#12 Please don’t, Raj. It seems a safe assumption they aren't kosher. ;-)
