Does he even begin to realize that shit-wage illegal immigration is one of the biggest reasons that, pre-Trump, workers' wages in this country actually DECLINED over thirty years?

Does his audience understand basic realities of the labor market?

Even the Marxist politicians who run Europe's parties of the left get this. No leftist pol or labor leader would even consider the notion of swamping the labor market with millions of illiterate imported helots: they'd think you'd lost your mind if you proposed this. In Joe's case they'd be right.
