#3 Well, if it wasn't for migrants illegals that collapsed the Roman Empire, the church probably would never had attained it standing it still enjoys today. In the power vacuum of the post-Roman period the only thing holding together what amounted to 'Western Civilization' defaulted to the church. Problem for El Jefe is that the migrants illegals in his neighborhood are muzzies out to take him and every other infidel down.

#4 "All these came from the north and brought their cultures with them. Europe grew in this way, with the contrast of cultures."

#5 How did that work in 5th century Rome? In Constantinople? The Mongol invasions? Etc. Who is advising the Pope? AOC?

#6 Migrants is so vague. We have legal migrants and we have illlegal migrants. One group is likely to assimilate and add to the culture, the other will not and treats the culture as a host to feed upon.

#7 call them what they are: Foreign invaders. aiding and abetting them is a crime.

#8 "And whoever raises a wall, whoever builds a wall", he warned, "will end up as a slave inside the walls he has built, without horizons.

I dunno. Walls can be pretty handy. They keep mischief out and stop the cows from wandering off.

#6 We have legal migrants and we have illegal migrants.

There is the crux of the matter, simply put.

#10 An apologetic for the invaders whom he used to succor as priest and bishop, not as head of a worldwide church, among whose believers are the invaded as well.

And yes, Pope Francis — about those living behind walls: you free yourself from slavery first, to show us how it should be done.

What do you expect?

#12 Tom, on Thursday, I think nailed perfect.

The church is supposed to stand against the ways of the world, not incorporate them.

Now, for some babel.

"Let us thank God for a multi-ethnic and multicultural society", he said, "because dialogue among cultures, persons, and ethnicities is richness".

Please discuss or enlighten me, but I understood this to be a punishment for hubris.

#15 Ah ,, but distilled water makes a uniform product anywhere on the planted.
Distilled or R/O water is easier on your coffee makers too. StarBucks coffee made anywhere in the world will taste the same made with R/O water. For a branded product like StarBucks that's important. You know when you get off a plane at Changi the Starbucks will taste just the same as the one down the street from your house. Pope! for a branded product that's really important.

#16 Let me put it another way.
When you need the US Marines you want the US Marines and not some pretty boys from the local watering hole.
Brands and uniformity are more important than you think Pope baby!
