#1 Memory of Democrats and neutral public is too short. A year before the elections a Democrat could be publicly identified by a 400 foot devil as his agent on earth and by election time it would be washed out of their collective memory.

#2 Impressive efforts by all the media to avoid mentioning islam...just using the term "extremists" and since they call everybody that's not a socialist an "extremist", they kind of hope to get them all blamed for the sins of the mud slimes...Kind of like present day Trotskyites calling their Stalinist foes "conservative"...

#3 #1 - problem for them is that they've taught a lot of the American public to ask and answer - "Who's that party" and "What race" by their non-disclosure of the information in the news. Once they know the trick, they have no problem filling in the 'blank'.

#5 If the West doesn't respond hard there will be another attack before the election. Possibly timed to effect the election in some way. Islamists are very keen when it comes to studying the calendar for great effect.
