#1 Yet again, the strong connection between criminals and terror groups. It's almost enough to persuade one that terrorists are not the high-minded idealists they claim, but bound-for-hell miscreants with a good public relations agent.

You have clearly identified the truth.

Most terrorist organizations are more about the money and the endless supply of young girls/boys, drugs, luxury and power than religion.

When you look at the old PFLP and its spawn you see lots of luxury accommodations in France and Switzerland, fancy cars, mistresses, and fine dining. The leaders of these organizations and their children ~~rarely ever~~ never strap on a suicide jacket in the name of jihad. That is for the puppets and the true believers further down the food chain.
