#1 Talk about a biased ideologue. Sarah Palin did not take $100,000 for a speaking fee but instead donated it to grassroot movements.

I'd suggest you don't criticize that which you don't really understand. You can't really begin to understand this phenomenon until you get off your ideologue soapbox.

#2 I like how they talk about "the tea party movement" as if it is some centrally managed political organization. It isn't. It is individual groups who are fed up with their local political leaders for an assortment of various reasons. There may be several different such groups that are completely independent in the same city.

To understand what "the tea party movement" is about, listen to the first ten minutes of Ronald Reagan's 1981 inaugural address.

Here's a link if you don't have a copy saved to your local disk (and you should, and you should watch it once a year, at least).

#4 Pres. Reagan's inaugural address was inspiring. Thanks crosspatch! Refreshing to hear a President who didn't blame his predecessors for everything.
