#2 Like America, Israel really needs to get over the notion of limited war. Syria needs to stopped permanently. Offing Assad should be one part of that plan. Personally, I'd love to see Israel take and hold a large chunk of Syrian territory as compensation for their trouble.

#6 Iran isn't going to be happy to lose it's useful idiot. For a while there it seemed Iran, Iraq, and Syria were taking turns being a problem so nobody knows which mole to whack. Israel going after Iran would basically end up with Iran being the only mole left to whack.
