#1 Maybe schools should hire private security contractors. Army, marine, DEA, major crimes vets could get well paying jobs, cops wouldn't have to enter campuses. Guys with experience and well trained internal alarms could effectively prevent such stuff?

#2 Check with the "legal team" first, then you can suspend (with pay), then put on "indefinite leave" (until you define the real time), then move toward "investigating their performance under stress" (consult with psychiatrists), then you will consider " were they under "DTSD" (During Traumatic Stress Syndrome) or were they just under "CSSS" (Chicken Shit Stress Syndrome) = Whatever the case, children died because they had no balls.
