#1 Problem #1 is that they don't consider themselves "servants" anymore.

They now think of themselves as 2nd level aristocracy.

#2 Politicians are supposed to serve their constituents. What they actually do is acquire the clientism virus from civil servants and seek to maintain and service their clients. If their clients are blm / antifa / planned parenthood / organized pervs, well, the constituents will just have to fend for themselves.

#3 And those same constituents keep voting for them anyway, so no reason to change. Two-party system is kind of sucky.
