#2 I suspect most Americans refuse to be open with anonymous "pollsters" cold-calling on topics that might have a backlash for ~~unpopular~~ unwoke opinions. I don't answer unknown numbers, and most people I know don't answer either.

#3 Despite attempts to compensate, a huge number of conservatives in America refuse to even respond to polling efforts. Consequently, I give little weight to those who cite polling as a basis for decision making.

#4 As hypocritical the religious types can be, they at least have some sort of moral code to live under. The atheists and the pseudo-religious do not. Their uncontrolled lust for power over others daily demonstrate that.
