[TheDerringer] The Derringer has an exclusive report that President Trump is seriously considering buying Jeffrey Epstein's ‘Pedophile Island' as a tactic to improve his media coverage. The idea apparently arose in an oval office meeting with his communications team who suggested that Trump could get the same Epstein-style media blackout if he gets pedophile island back up and running and starts hobnobbing with the international elites there.

I saw Epstein's island last week, from about a mile away, on a ferry between St. Thomas and St. Johns.
The ferry also passed Water Island, and the tour guide identified a big house on the water, calling it "Joe Biden's house". Just a fleeting glimpse, but I suppose it's over 5,000 SF and north of $10 million.
Not clear whether Biden owns it, or rents it. A search revealed two local newspaper articles which only said he visits there regularly. I'm sure he saved a lot of money riding Amtrak all those years.

[AlphaNewsMN] It’s highly likely that the $75 million is only just the beginning of the wrongful billings at Minnesota’s DHS.
Obamacare came along and intended to expand Medicaid to poor able-bodied adults who didn’t have children under their care, but who didn’t receive employer-provided insurance. But the Supreme Court ruled that Obamacare couldn’t force Medicaid expansion on states. Instead, to get states to sign up for Medicaid expansion, the ACA said that feds would cover 100 percent of the cost of new enrollees, for a time, and would cover 90 percent of the cost starting in 2020 and beyond.
BAD INCENTIVES
The first problem was that while some expansion beneficiaries truly were unable to work, or unable to work at a job that offered employer-provided coverage, others were opting for shiftlessness.
[KhaleejTimes] A woman police officer's matrimonial offer - a ploy to trap a wanted criminal - in Madhya Pradhesh's Chhatarpur Naugaon block has earned kudos for the officer.
Balkrishna Chaubey (55) has been a headache for Madhya Pradesh police for more than three years now. His band of outlaws had been robbing unsuspecting villagers in the Chhatarpur Khajuraho belt for some time with murder and robbery cases piling up against him. He would slip into Uttar Pradesh after crime.
The Police had conducted raids in his hideout several times but were unable to nab him. Balkrishna had been absconding for several months and while in hiding sent out a message to some acquaintances to look for a bride for him.
Police sub-inspector Madhavi Agnihotri in charge of Garroli chowki of Chhatarpur Naugaon block, was assigned the task to bring him to book. Madhvi who is in her thirties, struck a unique idea and sent out her old photograph along with a matrimonial proposal through informers to Balakishan Chaubey.
Naogaon Sub-divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Srinath Singh Baghel was fascinated by Madhavi Agnihotri's idea and asked her to lead the team along with SI Atul Jha, Manoj Yadav, ASI Gyan Singh and three constables.
Balakishan was invited to the date with Madhvi on Thursday in village Bijori in Uttar Pradesh, bordering Naogaon police station area. Shortly after his arrival, Madhvi sent out a signal to the team that nabbed him before he could lay his hands on his countrymade pistol.
He was produced in the court on Friday from where he was sent to jail. Naugaon police station in-charge Baijnath Sharma said Chaubey (55) who belonged to Khama of Ajnar police station in Mahoba district has been arrested under various sections for cases of murder and robbery.

Grom, incidentally Rafael presented this performance back in 2009 at a defense partnership meet. Poor boys thought it would appeal like hell to the Indians because we seem obsessed with this shit all the time. Many Indian 'big-wigs' were absolutely lividafterward but right then, there was faint clapping. I learned later that their peeve was not the thing itself. No, they were only pissed that it was implied the guy was Israel, and the dancing girl India. Watch, and enjoy.

[DW] Thousands of asylum-seekers in Germany have returned multiple times after deportation, according to a report in German media. Those with entry bans often serve a few months in jail or are not arrested at all.
Thousands of migrants colonists in Germany have applied for asylum multiple times and return to the country after having been deported, according to a report by German newspaper Die Welt am Sonntag published on Sunday.
There are nearly 5,000 asylum-seekers who have reapplied for asylum after being deported from Germany since 2012, according to the report, which cites official government figures. Some of the asylum-seekers willingly left Germany, knowing deportation was imminent. The then returned to German to make another application for asylum, according to the report.
ASYLUM-SEEKERS WITH ENTRY BANS 'RARELY PLACED IN DURANCE VILE
The numbers cited in the report indicate that for 1,023 asylum-seekers currently in Germany this is the fourth time they have applied for asylum. For 294 it is their fifth, sixth or seventh time.
Asylum-seekers who have been deported and have entry bans are placed in durance vile Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! for a few months for re-entering the country, according to the report. Arrests and longer sentences are rare.
Germany receives hundreds of thousands of applications for asylum every year. Some 1.78 million people entered Germany to request asylum between 2010 and 2018, according to the German Office of Federal Statistics.
Authorities said earlier in November that they expected the number of applicants for asylum in 2019 to have been lower than in previous years.
NEW YORK (AP) ‐ A blocked sewer main flooded basements Saturday with brown filth and left residents in the neighborhood near New York City’s Kennedy Airport feeling sickened by the stench.
A water condition caused the backup, pushing human waste into about 300 homes in Jamaica, Queens, officials said.
Cynthia McKenzie said she woke up around 3 a.m. to an odor she thought was a gas leak, only to realize that sewage water was rushing into her basement.
As the water level rose, McKenzie said she raced to move furniture and other belongings ‐ but some electronics couldn’t be saved. After a few hours, she said, her whole neighborhood was awash in fetid fluid.
"It’s messy," said McKenzie, who posted photos showing murky water covering the floor of a basement bedroom and the bottom of a staircase.
"When you open it, it just smells," she said. "It makes you want to vomit. We have to pack up all the clothes."
Mayor Bill de Blasio said crews were making repairs and bringing in pumping equipment to clear up the mess.
The city’s water agency says drinking water is safe and unaffected, but de Blasio advised residents to reduce usage to cut down on water going into the blocked main.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Appeals court judges put on hold a ruling by a lower court that would require former White House Counsel Don McGahn to testify to lawmakers as part of the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.
McGahn, who left his post in October 2018, last May defied a House Judiciary Committee subpoena to testify about Trump’s efforts to impede former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation that detailed Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election.
The hold on the case comes as the judges for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit consider a longer stay. They scheduled oral arguments for Jan. 3 on the underlying appeal, according to a court order.
Hours earlier, Washington-based U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson agreed to impose a temporary delay on her ruling, saying in an order it would give her time to rule on whether to put the case on hold longer-term so the Justice Department can appeal.

Remember all those judges President Trump sent to the Senate for approval. I suspect this is an outcome of that — he has already flipped several circuits from majority Democrat to majority Republican, and there are more still to come.
[Townhall] Ukraine is considering new ways to curry favor with President Trump, two sources who recently met with Ukranian officials told CNN. The sources say one of the ways the country hopes to win the favor of the Trump administration is by opening new investigations that may be seen as politically favorable to the president.
Ukraine relies on the United States for security assistance and the two sources say the Ukrainians are currently looking for additional support from the United States.
According to the report, it is unclear when such investigations might be announced or what subjects such investigations would cover. Obviously, Joe Biden's role in the firing of the prosecutor investigating his son's employer, which Trump discussed with the president of Ukraine on his July 25th phone call, has been front and center in the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry. One of the sources did tell CNN that any new investigations in Ukraine would have to cover current issues as well as those that happened in the past.
Hunter Biden served as a board member of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company, drawing a lucrative monthly salary from 2014 ‐ 2019. Biden has no natural energy experience, was discharged from the military for using cocaine and seemingly hired by Burisma only to buy the company influence with Hunter's father, then-Vice President Joe Biden. The move appears to have worked. Joe Biden proudly recalls the time he flew to Ukraine and bribed the government into firing the prosecutor who was investigating his son's employer.
Democrats accuse Trump of "blackmailing," "bribing" or "pressuring" Ukrainian President Zelensky into investigating Trump's political opponent Joe Biden. At the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry, Democrats brought in witnesses attempting to undermine Trump's claim that there was no pressure on President Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden tied to U.S. security assistance to the country.

A sheer waste of money. They’ll spend as much again every year repairing and replacing what was vandalized.
The Swedish city of Malmo will allocate some $2 million to initiatives to protect its Jewish community from antisemitism.
They got a new mayor a few years ago, Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh. Her Estonian-Swedish predecessor, Ilmar Reepalu, blamed the local Jews for the frequent antisemitic attacks around the city.
Malmo, a city where one third of the population is from Moslem countries, is home to several hundred Jews and has dozens of antisemitic incidents annually.
The [Jewish] population of the Swedish city has dropped over the past 10 years from 3,000 to 1,500, according to the report.
Out of a total municipal population of about 300,000, last I looked.
In June, two philanthropists ‐ one Jewish and one not ‐ donated more than $4 million to security for Jews in Malmo.
And how is that thoughtful gift working out?
Among the initiatives proposed by the city’s officials are educational programs in schools to uproot racism against Jews, promotion of Jewish culture, and a study to gauge the public’s perception of Jews, Ynet reported.

Actually, the old adage 'do on to other as you'd have others do you to you' would be far more effective. Or in other words "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a brother for a brother"
"Education" without consequences is not going to work.
[Townhall] There must’ve been something in the water back in 2012, because everyone on the top of the ballot turned out to be even worse than we originally thought. Barack Obama’s legacy is shot, being destroyed by President Trump and the radical left who now view him (laughably) as a conservative. Joe Biden doesn’t know where he is half the time, the other half has his campaign staff wishing he were somewhere else. Paul Ryan was a feckless Speaker of the House who cut bait and ran once he was free to push all the things he’d sworn for years were his deeply held beliefs. But worst of all was Mitt Romney ‐ the nicest-seeming of them all who ended up becoming the nagging, nannying squish we all secretly knew he was but pretended he wasn’t because he was the GOP nominee. And he keeps getting worse.
If there’s one Republican in the Senate who’d vote to remove President Trump, it’s Mitt Romney. He’d be happy to, though only after a long, boring press conference where he talked, earnestly and tearfully, about how difficult the decision was for him to reach.
After every decision or tweet Trump makes, reporters beat a path to Romney in the hope he’ll morph into John McCain and scold the president. They’re rarely disappointed.

Ref #2: Conflict is our business, and business has historically been very good.
[Red State] As RedState reported when it happened, an Islamic terrorist killed two people on the London Bridge via a knife attack earlier in the week. The attacker was eventually taken down by some self-less civilians who risked their lives to physically bring the man to the pavement. You can see video of that here. Police would eventually kill Usman Khan.
But if anyone was wondering whether there was forewarning of this possibly happening, it turns out Khan was already a convicted terrorist and inexplicably was allowed to walk free after pledging his transgressions were just "immaturity."
Khan would be let go by a judge, taking in his declaration of being a changed man as evidence enough of his rehabilitation into society.
This is insanity and naivete on a grand scale. Khan was literally convicted of helping plan a major terrorist attack. There was no question he was involved and intended to be part of it. Yet, many European nations (and in America) continue to hold the ridiculous view that these are just misunderstood human being who would otherwise be fine if they just had a better job or something. Islamist ideology is not easily defeated, and when you have droves of people coming in who hold it, it should be no surprise that their barbarism comes with them.
The decision to release Khan didn’t come from the lower levels either. It was signed off by the Ministry of Justice and the terrorist was released after serving just half his sentence. Now, two people are dead because of that decision.
And just in case you wanted another example of how bonkers the UK justice system is, one of the people who helped tackle Khan was a convicted murderer himself, out on day release.

Not him, but he did gag some activists trying to expose graft in Social welfare spending, in the interest of 'public good', I imagine.
I think something is inherently wrong in the psyche of a man or woman who aspires to wear a white wig and hold a wooden hammer to tell others what's what.
They pass all sorts of tests and exams, hobnob with the powerful and make deals trading in what is called 'justice'. They live in a world their own, where real people do not matter; of course their close friends matter, and those who help them get there but not everyone.
I'm in favor of giving more jurisdictional mandate to law enforcement itself. Devolving that column into only interpreters of constitutional rightness of legislation, white collar crimes and graft.

[Aljazeera] Daytime shootout took place days after US President said he would designate drug cartels as terrorist groups.
Ten suspected drug cartel gunmen and four police were killed during a daytime shootout on Saturday in a Mexican town near the border with the United States, days after US President Donald Trump raised bilateral tensions by saying he would designate the gangs as terrorists.
The government of the northern state of Coahuila said state police clashed with a group of heavily armed gunmen in pickup trucks in the small town of Villa Union, about 65 kilometres (40 miles) southwest of the border city of Piedras Negras.
[Aljazeera] Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi submitted his resignation to parliament amid continuing anti-government protests in the capital Baghdad and in southern Iraq.
The prime minister announced on Friday he would resign amid mounting pressure a day after more than 40 demonstrators were killed by security forces.
The formal resignation came after an emergency cabinet session on Saturday, in which ministers approved the document and the resignation of key staffers, including Abdul Mahdi's chief of staff.
Shadow of strife looms over Iraq's political crisis
Protesters shot dead as violence continues across Iraq
Despite threats, Iraq's medical volunteers keep protests alive
The Iraqi parliament is scheduled to meet on Sunday where legislators will vote on whether to accept Abdul Mahdi's resignation.
The announcement also came after Iraq's top Shia religious leader withdrew his support for the government in a weekly sermon on Friday.
[American Thinker] Uprisings in Iran have become routine occurrences, albeit without much success. Why? Because Iran is ruled by a totalitarian Islamic ideology like Nazism and communism. In Iran, there is no sovereignty of the people. Instead, there is a perception of the Ummah in Shia theology "rule of Mahdi", guardianship over the people. In other words, Iran belongs to "Imam Zaman" (the Hidden Imam) and in his absence, a supreme leader is in charge. In this case, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Any revolt against the State is considered a direct attack against the upcoming "Lord of the Age."
Hence, at the slightest signs of protests, the regime unleashes its wild dogs (soldiers of Mahdi) on a killing spree. Iranians partook in many protests across the country amidst a failing economic situation, systematic government corruption, and widespread frustration over the lack of political and social freedoms. As always, the regime’s security apparatus reacted to these protests with mass arrests and severe due process abuses. Pundits and experts believe "Khamenei’s tough response could just invite more anger."
Since the Islamic invasion of 1979, the Mullahs have ruled over the unarmed Iranian people with an iron fist and absolute power while draining the nation’s treasury. As a result, millions of Iranians had no choice but to flee their homes to the four corners of the globe. In these recent protests, Iran’s rulers once again revealed their real identity to the world that they don’t value human life. They are simply vicious killers.
[Breitbart] Former Secretary of State John Kerry on Saturday announced the launch "World War Zero," a star-studded coalition of former heads of state and Hollywood figures dedicated to advocating for solutions to climate change.
The forthcoming organization’s website states their chief objective is to mobilize resources to tackle global warming in a way akin to the Western allies in World War II.
The New York Times reports that John Kerry, who served as a senator in Massachusetts from 1985 to 2013, has recruited former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and former Republican governors John Kasich and Arnold Schwarzenegger. A-listers such as actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Ashton Kutcher, and rocker Sting are also on board. Over 60 figures are said to have signed up for the coalition.
"We’re going to try to reach millions of people, Americans and people in other parts of the world, in order to mobilize an army of people who are going to demand action now on climate change sufficient to meet the challenge," Kerry said in an interview with the Times.
Kerry has been an outspoken critic of the Trump administration’s environmental policies, calling them "profoundly dangerous" for the planet, and has repeatedly criticized the president’s removal of the U.S. from the 2016 Paris Agreement.
Future generations will measure us by whether we acted on facts, not just debated or denied them. The verdict will hang on whether we put in place policies that will drive the development and deployment of clean technologies, re-energize our economies, and tackle global climate change," the Obama-era official wrote in an opinion-editorial for the Times last year. "Every day that goes by that we’re paralyzed by the Luddite in the White House is a day in the future that our grandchildren will suffer."

U.S.‐As the media continues to gaslight the American people, cover for pedophiles, and retract information when it damages their political allies, the nation is increasingly wishing there were some sort of phrase to describe the kind of behavior befitting of an adversary of the populace.
"If only there were a catchy phrase, in use for hundreds of years in a variety of contexts, that succinctly described the way the corporate press is behaving," said one man in Nebraska. He shook his head. "Nothing comes to mind though."
Concerned citizens convened in Cleveland to come up with a cogent callsign for the corporate cable news media.
Here is what they've come up with so far:
Adversary of the populace
Opposition of the citizenry
Opponent of the masses
Traitor to the inhabitants
Villian of the plebeians
Foe of the folk
Antagonist of the population
"Nothing quite has the right ring to it," said a man from Iowa, rubbing his chin. "We just can't put our finger on what to call these guys."

Researchers have identified a metal that conducts electricity without conducting heat - an incredibly useful property that defies our current understanding of how conductors work.
The metal, found in 2017, contradicts something called the Wiedemann-Franz Law, which basically states that good conductors of electricity will also be proportionally good conductors of heat, which is why things like motors and appliances get so hot when you use them regularly.
But a team in the US showed this isn't the case for metallic vanadium dioxide (VO2) - a material that's already well known for its strange ability to switch from a see-through insulator to a conductive metal at the temperature of 67 degrees Celsius (152 degrees Fahrenheit).
"This was a totally unexpected finding," said lead researcher Junqiao Wu from Berkeley Lab's Materials Sciences Division back in January 2017.
"It shows a drastic breakdown of a textbook law that has been known to be robust for conventional conductors. This discovery is of fundamental importance for understanding the basic electronic behaviour of novel conductors."
[Jpost] US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell on Friday savaged the Norwegian ambassador to Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate JewsZionists Jews. "Terrible timing ‐ why fund the Iranian regime while it’s killing the Iranian people and shutting off the Internet?" tweeted Grenell, the most high-profile US ambassador in Europe. "You should be standing for human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... not funding the abusers."
The UK-based human rights watchdog Amnesia Amnesty International said in November that at least 143 protesters were killed in Iran during demonstrations against the regime due to gas price increases and opposition to the holy manal regime system.
Nordrum tweeted that "We join INSTEX with the E3 to facilitate trade with Iran and preserve the JCPOA."
The JCPOA is the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the formal name for the Iran nuclear deal that is supposed to curb Tehran’s nuclear weapons ambitions in exchange for sanctions release.
[IsraelTimes] La Belle France, Germany and UK welcome Belgium, Netherlands and others to INSTEX, mean to allow Iran to continue selling oil despite US restrictions.
Gay Paree, London and Berlin on Saturday welcomed six new European countries to the INSTEX barter mechanism, which is designed to circumvent US sanctions against trade with Iran by avoiding use of the dollar.
"As founding shareholders of the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX), La Belle France, Germany and the United Kingdom warmly welcome the decision taken by the governments of Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, to join INSTEX as shareholders," the three said in a joint statement.
The Gay Paree-based INSTEX functions as a clearing house allowing Iran to continue to sell oil and import other products or services in exchange.

[Jpost] The soldiers responded to the cocktails with fire and hit one of the suspects, identified as Badawi Masalmeh, who later died.
One person was killed in festivities with IDF soldiers on Saturday night after soldiers identified three suspects throwing Molotov cocktails at an Israeli vehicle which was driving near the village of Beit Awwa in the Hebron region of the West Bank, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit stated.
The soldiers responded to the cocktails with fire and hit one of the suspects, identified as Badawi Masalmeh, who later died.
The other two suspects were arrested and brought into questioning by security forces.
This was confirmed by the Paleostinian Health Ministry.
In a statement, Har Hebron Council head Yohai Demri said the following:
"We congratulate the IDF forces and the soldiers of the Judea Brigade for their dedicated and determined activity in maintaining the security of the residents. Tonight they killed and arrested forces of Evil who were trying to murder settlers by throwing Molotov cocktails, a terrorist group that endangered our residents several times."

It’s like Germany is schizophrenic on the subject, on the one hand banning Hizb’allah and selling Israel nuclear (or is it nuclear-capable?) subs at a deep discount, on the other pulling this kind of nonsense.
[Jpost] Germany’s UN ambassador has voted again for an anti-Israel resolution, ignoring pleas from the nearly 100,000-member Central Council of Jews in Germany and the Jewish state to change its voting pattern.
Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean for the human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... organization Simon Wiesenthal Center, told The Jerusalem Post: "Having Germany again vote for a UN Resolution labeling the Jewish people’s holiest site ‐ the Western Wall in Jerusalem along with Solomon’s Temple Mount and the historic Jewish Quarter of the Old City as ’occupied Paleostinian territory’ ‐ is an outrage and intolerable."
He continued, "It begs the question: Are these anti-Israel UN votes at the behest of the German Foreign Ministry? Does this vote reflect the views of Chancellor Merkel? If the answer is no, the German ambassador should be removed. If the answer is yes, we urge the chancellor to immediately order a review of its Middle East policy. No German government should ever be involved in delegitimizing Jewish history and presence in Jerusalem."
Germany’s government has engaged in an orgy of diplomatic attacks on the Jewish state over the last two years, including voting against Israel a total of eight times in November. Germany voted 16 times at the UN in 2018 to condemn Israel.
The November 19 resolution that Germany voted for, titled "The right of the Paleostinian people to self-determination," was sponsored by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Egypt, Nicaragua, Zim-bob-we and State of Paleostine. Egypt helped draft the resolution on "behalf of the State Members of the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... that are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation," according to the resolution.
UN expert Hillel Neuer, the executive director of UN Watch, wrote on Twitter in October that "Germany introduced 0 condemnations of China, Cuba, Pakistain, Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... , The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... , Venezuela ...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeds places like Honduras and El Salvador, and a significant proportion of the populace as refugeed to Colombia and points south... , etc." He asked German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas why he is singling out Israel and ignoring repressive, closed nations for diplomatic rebukes.
After over 130 Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, rockets were fired on Israel in March, Germany’s UN ambassador Christoph Heusgen equated Israel’s counter-terrorism strategy with the US- and EU-designated terrorist entity Hamas: "Civilians must live without fear of Paleostinian rockets or Israeli bulldozers," said Heusgen.
Israel’s government says it only bulldozes the homes of Paleostinian terrorists.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center announced last month that it is considering including the anti-Israel comments made by Heusgen in its top 10 list of the worst outbreaks of antisemitic and anti-Israel activities in 2019. Heusgen has frequently used his bully pulpit at the UN to join the ongoing orgy of diplomatic targeting of the Jewish state for opprobrium.
The German Foreign Ministry told the Post that Heusgen is not antisemitic.

I heard an answer to your question, 3dc, long time ago. And it stuck in my memory: "Whatever differences there are between Nazis & rest of Europeans - they're not in basic attitude toward the Jews". Or, I might add, Americans.
He called Angela Merkel “the icon of this incredible success” and said she was “the guardian of democracy, the guardian of civilization and the guardian of Europe”.
Lauder told Merkel she had always supported the Jewish community in Germany and stood by Israel. “You are a German leader who has become a one-person dam. A dam against instability. A dam against irrationality. A dam against extremism. A dam against hate. A dam against racism. A dam against antisemitism”, he said two days after he had visited the Synagogue of Halle.

Thimp -- his point is Europeans are as anti-American as they are anti-Jewish. They've just had more time and opportunity to take out their failings on Jews.

UN is so patently anti-Israel that it is a disgrace. But, maybe Jared Kuschner with his SCI clearance can get the real low-down on this.
"I'll fly ya from Freia to Gaia.
If my Muslimer bomb, call me Mayor.
Red Cross and Gunn-Rita?
Look, kids, we got pita!
Y'all smile when I hit Holtaheia."
Now that large school districts are adopting this foolishness, it's threatening to cause real damage.
Foisting Howard Zinn's fables on kids was bad enough, but teaching a generation that the American Revolution was fought to preserve slavery is beyond mad.

(Bloomberg) -- The U.S. solidified its status as an energy producer by posting the first full month as a net exporter of crude and petroleum products since government records began in 1949.
The nation exported 89,000 barrels a day more than it imported in September, according to data from the Energy Information Administration Friday. While the U.S. has previously reported net exports on a weekly basis, today’s figures mark a key milestone that few would have predicted just a decade ago, before the onset of the shale boom.
In its Short-Term Energy Outlook earlier this month, the EIA flagged the turnaround and forecast total net exports of crude and products of 750,000 barrels a day in 2020, compared with average net imports of 520,000 barrels a day this year.
Analysts at Rystad Energy said this week the U.S. is only months away from achieving energy independence, citing surging oil and gas output as well as the growth of renewables. "Going forward, the United States will be energy independent on a monthly basis, and by 2030 total primary energy production will outpace primary energy demand by about 30%," said Sindre Knutsson, vice president of Rystad Energy's gas markets team.

One of the biggest stories of the century, with implications for everything from economic prosperity to our foreign policy to helping our working class and reducing inequality -- and yet this vastly consequential story has been consistently buried, spiked, suppressed by our idiot media execs.
Best of all, we can now withdraw from the Middle East. Those camel-fuckers can keep their dirty oil. If Europe wants it, let them pay for armies and navies. We're through providing welfare for wealthy First World nations that can well afford it. And then DESPISE us for having a military.
Fuck all of them.

fwiw, the US has been a net exporter of natural gas since June of this yeat
also, the US actually is still a net importer of crude petroleum, however, we refine much more than we use and export refined products such as propane, distillate, gasoline and jet fuel
the fact that we are a net importer of crude and a net exporter of products is very good for the economy since the latter are value added

Trump, join OPEC, then take the organization over completely!
A Copenhagen court has found three men guilty of helping a terror organization by buying drones and components on behalf of the Islamic State group, the Associated Press reported Thursday. The items were meant to be used in combat actions in Syria and Iraq.
The Copenhagen City Court said Thursday that the men, two of whom are Danish citizens, bought hobby planes, drones and thermal cameras as well as components, tools and accessories in Denmark between 2013 and 2017. The items were shipped to IS.
All were cleared of terror charges and face prison terms of up to six years. Sentencing is expected next month.
The identities of the men, who claimed their innocence, were not released by the court.

[AMGreatness] Neither the NeverTrump Right nor the Progressive Left has yet offered a coherent defense of their de facto, three-year-long singular effort to delegitimize and ultimately remove Trump from office before the 2020 election.
We are now in the midst of a systematic effort to impeach a president on the basis of a thought crime. Trump’s purported quid pro quo sin was issuing a temporary hold on military assistance to Ukraine that supposedly transcended legitimate worries about rampant corruption‐to include specifically investigating the suspicious behavior of a corrupt Ukrainian oil company and the compromised relationship of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son around it.
The anti-Trump writ is that it is impeachable even to delay to the Ukrainians lethal military assistance while citing the need to investigate the corruption of Ukrainians, including the career of Hunter Biden, whose father, the former vice president and "point man" on Ukraine, is now running for president.

[All Africa] The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has approved the suspension of three officers and six other men of the Nigerian Correctional Service implicated in the $1million internet fraud.
This was contained in a statement signed by the NCS front man, Francis Enobore, in Abuja wednesday.
The fraud was allegedly perpetrated by Olusegun Aroke, an inmate serving a 24-year term in the Kirikiri Maximum Security Custodial Centre in Lagos.
Those arrested include the Deputy Controller in charge of the facility, Emmanuel Oluwaniyi and DC Hemeson Edwin.
Aroke was given a referral to be treated outside the facility during which he pulled a $1m scam.
An investigation panel constituted by the Controller-General of the Service, Jaáfaru Ahmed, was said to have indicted the officers of complicity in the scandal.
Enobore said while handing down the suspension order, the CG noted that "the task of correcting maladjusted persons in society requires a measure of moral rectitude to make positive impact on offenders in jug."
He restated the "irreversible commitment" of his administration to ensure that those without adequate "strength of character and integrity are not allowed to taint the sanctity of the Nigerian Correctional Service."
The statement read, "The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has approved the suspension of three officers and six other ranks of the Nigerian Correctional Service implicated in the alleged internet fraud, suspected to have been perpetrated by Hope Olusegun Aroke, an inmate serving a term of imprisonment in Kirikiri Maximum Security Custodial Centre, Lagos.
"This is based on the preliminary report of the investigation panel earlier constituted by the Controller-General of the Service, Jaáfaru Ahmed, which indicted the officers of complicity in the scandal."
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had on Monday arrested Oluwaniyi and Edwin, for allegedly procuring exaggerated medical report for Aroke.
The agency said its preliminary investigation revealed that the convict, against established standard practice, had access to the internet and mobile phone in the correctional centre

On Friday, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias asked the Libyan ambassador to Athens to present the deal with Turkey by December 5 or face expulsion.
The Turkey-Libya deal announced this week added tension to an ongoing dispute with Greece, Cyprus and Egypt over oil-and-gas drilling rights in the eastern Mediterranean.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] An Afghan official said a roadside bomb in the southern Helmand province has killed two security personnel, including a senior border commander.
Omar Zwak, spokesman for the provincial governor, said on Saturday that the blast in the Marjah district wounded two other security officials and a local TV reporter when it struck a passing convoy.
The spokesman said the attack likely targeted Gen. Zahir Gul Muqbil, the army border unit commander who was killed in the explosion.
He added that a reporter with the Shamshad TV network, Sardar Mohammad Sarwary, was among the wounded, and had been accompanying security forces on an operation in Marjah.
Qari Yusouf Ahmadi, a Taliban spokesman, claimed responsibility for Saturday’s attack. The militant group controls most districts in Helmand.
Brig. Gen. Zahirgul Muqbil, an army regiment commander of Afghan border forces, was killed in a roadside bomb explosion in Marjah district, Helmand province on Saturday morning, the provincial governor’s spokesman Omar Zwak said.
Zwak said three security force members and a local journalist were wounded in the attack.
The forces were heading to a military operation in Marjah district when their humvee hit a roadside bomb, he said.
[AFRICANEWS] Zim-bob-we state doctors who were fired for going on strike have rejected a government offer to return to work, their union said on Friday.
The doctors went on strike on September 3 to protest against poor wages, in some cases less than US$100 a month.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government, which responded to the job boycott by firing 448 doctors and pursuing disciplinary action against more than 1,000 others, on Thursday offered to reinstate them if they returned to work within 48 hours.
According to the Zim-bob-we Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA), the last wage offer by the government would see the doctors earning a total package, including allowances, of Z$3,900 (about US$240) per month.
In the capital Harare, Parirenyatwa Hospital was deserted, with only a handful of desperate patients being attended to by nurses.
Several patients who were turned away told Rooters that they were extremely disappointed and stressed about not getting any medical attention especially because they cannot afford to pay for private doctors.
Speaking to Rooters, state doctor Tawanda Zvakade said the doctors’ grievances were not just related to remuneration, but also advocacy over lack of resources in the hospitals.

Coahuila's attorney general's office confirmed that the suspected criminals were killed during a shootout.
Clashes near Villa Union were apparently captured on camera and shared on social media. The videos show a cloud of smoke rising at the scene, as well as burned vehicles.
The button men reportedly belonged to the so-called Northeast Cartel from Nuevo Laredo.

the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency set up a sting operation at a fake university in Michigan. The plan was to catch foreigners trying to game the immigration system by falsely claiming they were attending school.
In reality, the "school" only existed on paper and students were well aware of that. This past week, ICE arrested 90 more students for immigration violations. That brings the total number of students arrested to 250.
Needless to say, some students were not pleased with being caught cheating.
Fox News:
The U.S. "trapped vulnerable people who just wanted to maintain (legal immigration) status," Rahul Reddy, a Texas attorney who represented some of the students who were arrested, told the Detroit Free Press on Wednesday.
Many of the arrested students have been deported, but some are contesting their removals.
The students had reportedly arrived legally in the U.S. on student visas and later lost their immigration status after the school was shut down in January, according to the Free Press.
What a crock. These "vulnerable people" knew full well that the school was bogus. Why did they think it was anything else when there were no classes to attend?
Meanwhile, seven of the eight recruiters who were criminally charged with trying to recruit students have pleaded guilty and been sentenced in Detroit. The final defendant will be sentenced in January.
Attorneys for ICE and the Department of Justice said the students should have known it was not a legitimate university because it did not have classes in any sort of physical location, the Free Press reported.
I don't think those "students" have much chance of resisting deportation, do you?
"Their true intent could not be clearer," Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon Helms wrote in a memo, per the publication. "While 'enrolled' at the university, [100] percent of the foreign citizen students never spent a single second in a classroom."
"If it were truly about obtaining an education, the university would not have been able to attract anyone, because it had no teachers, classes or educational services," he added.
Taking down the "recruiters" was a bonus. It's people like these individuals who enable illegal immigrants. Along with shady businessmen who knowingly hire illegals, the "recruiters" assist those wanting to deliberately circumvent the law.
It's always a gamble when law enforcement uses techniques like this because it's relatively easy to be accused of entrapment. But this should be a slam dunk case as the students knowingly gamed the system by claiming to attend a university with no physical plant, no teachers, no classes, and no degrees.
Bet the room woke right up when he went all stabby. Too bad they won't learn anything
[AmericanThinker] So many things wrong with this picture just to start.
The worst though was the fact that the terrorist
...that’d be Usman Khan...
was not just let out on a much undeserved parole, he was busy lecturing the leftists at Cambridge University at a conference, participating in "workshops" on his supposed prison rehabilitation, the leftists eating it up and calling for more such "reform." He was one of their leaders and they were taking it from him.
Here's the London Telegraph's report:
The event at the centre of the London Bridge attack was an alumni celebration for an organisation run by academics from the University of Cambridge.
Learning Together was set up in 2014 by Ruth Armstrong and Amy Ludlow, from the Faculty of Law and Institute of Criminology.
It brings together people in criminal justice and higher education institutions.
The attacker, who was on probation and wearing a tag, is understood to have been invited to share his experiences as a former prisoner.
Academics and criminal justice campaigners had tweeted excitedly about the day ahead as they gathered at the Grade II listed Fishmongers Hall, just off London Bridge, to celebrate Learning Together’s fifth anniversary....
Seems that coddling and cossetting terrorists like these as warm, fuzzy, cuddly 'victims' who need reparations from society for their time in the can doesn't work out the way they say it will work out.
You can bet the leftists involved in this sham will refuse to take any responsibility for the two people now dead that their coddling led to. They'll keep calling for letting these beasts out of the can because dead people can always be dismissed easily.

Khan was part of a group of faceless myrmidons from the English city of Stoke
...that’s Stoke-on-Trent, for those of us who were uncertain...
which forged close links with faceless myrmidons from London and the Welsh capital Cardiff.
The London and Welsh parts of the conspiracy had ambitions to place a bomb in a toilet at the London Stock Exchange.
While Khan knew and supported the bomb plans, and had discussed bombing local pubs, he and his Stoke group had hatched a potentially more sinister plan: a camp beside a mosque in Kashmir to train jihadist turbans.
"The Stoke group was, and was considered to be, pre-eminent," British judge Alan Wilkie said when he sentenced Khan in 2012. "They regarded themselves as more serious jihadis than the others."
Khan had been intending to travel to the camp to perfect his skills, including firearms training and to carry out attacks in Kashmir.
"It was envisaged by them all that ultimately they, and the other recruits, may return to the UK as trained and experienced snuffies available to perform terrorist attacks in this country," Wilkie said.
DANGER TO THE PUBLIC?
Quite possibly, yes...
When sentencing Khan in 2012, Wilkie said that he was so dangerous that he was imposing a so-called imprisonment for public protection (IPP) indeterminate sentence of 8 years.
"The long, monitored, discussions of Usman Khan about the madrassa (training camp) and his attitudes towards it and terrorism are highly eloquent of the seriousness of their purpose," Wilkie said.
In effect, it meant he would remain incarcerated as long as he was considered to be a danger to the public and that the parole board should assess whether he should be released.
But in 2011, then-Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron ...Empty suit Brit pol, former PM, has stated that he is certainly a big Thatcher fan, but I don't know whether that makes me a Thatcherite, which means he's not. Since he is not deeply ideological he lacks core principles and is easily led. He has been described as certainly not a Pitt, Elder or Younger, but he does wear a nice suit so maybe he's Beau Brummel... announced a review of the IPP sentencing. The IPP was abolished in 2012.
After Khan appealed his sentence, appeal court judges in 2013 quashed the indeterminate period of incarceration, and he was given a determinate sentence of 16 years - meaning he could be released after serving just half of his term.
Court of Appeal judges said at the time that the Parole Board should consider whether those convicted were safe enough to be released. The Parole Board said on Saturday that it had not been involved in deciding Khan's release.
"The Parole Board can confirm it had no involvement with the release of the individual identified as the attacker," the board said, adding that Khan "appears to have been released automatically on license (as required by law), without ever being referred to the Board."

If a really nationalist intelligence worker, or even an honest journalist were to dig a wee bit deeper into the compromised civil services they'd discover a story that practically writes itself. Like the constitution of parole boards, prison reform committees, whoever adjudges the feasibility of release and bail, the judiciary, commissioners and mayors - they shall find their nation is being shafted since Tony Blair's time.
[IsraelTimes] All three will remain in detention for 15 days, which can be renewed indefinitely; defense team says they are held in relation to recent arrests of professors, lawyers, journalists.
A pair of Egyptian journalists and a lawyer are facing charges of joining a "terrorist group," their lawyer confirmed Thursday, after they were detained amid a string of similar arrests.
Security forces detained husband and wife Hossam El-Sayed and Solafa Magdy, as well as lawyer Mohammed Salah, from a Cairo cafe on Tuesday.
Nabeeh Elganadi, a member of the journalists’ defense team, told AFP on Thursday that all three were held in relation to a case involving "recently arrested professors, lawyers, and journalists."
He said state security prosecutors had charged freelance journalist Magdy, her photojournalist husband and lawyer Salah with joining a "terrorist group."
Magdy was also charged with disseminating false news.
Elganadi filed a complaint with the attorney-general’s office Thursday over Magdy’s claims of torture at the hands of police at the Dokki station, where she was taken after being arrested.
"Police struck her arms and side as well as verbally hurling abuse at her. They also impounded her car and took her mobile phone," he said.
All three will remain in detention for 15 days, which can be renewed indefinitely.
Egyptian police on Sunday detained then released three editors at local news outlet Mada Masr, after arresting another editor the day before.
Amnesia Amnesty International on Wednesday accused Egypt of building a "parallel justice system" to crack down on critics and dissent.
It described the state security prosecution as a "tool of repression."
Since President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi led the military ouster of former Islamist president Mohammed Morsi in 2013, a crackdown has ensnared activists, journalists and dissidents.
New York-based watchdog Committee to Protect Journalists roundly criticized the authorities’ renewed targeting of the journalists and dissidents.
"Egyptian authorities have clearly learned nothing after the international outcry over their recent detentions of journalists, and are determined to continue a losing strategy," it said in a statement.
Egypt ranks third in the world in terms of the number of journalists in detention, behind China and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... , according to CPJ.
[IsraelTimes] Egypt’s government is using a secretive judicial agency designed to fight terrorism to detain peaceful protesters, journalists and critics on trumped-up charges without trial, Amnesty International said in a report released Wednesday.
The 60-page report by the London-based rights group details how Egypt’s Supreme State Security Prosecution, or SSSP, has become increasingly central to President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi’s sweeping crackdown on dissent.
“In Egypt today, the Supreme State Security Prosecution has stretched the definition of ‘terrorism’ to encompass peaceful protests, social media posts, and legitimate political activities,” said Philip Luther, the group’s Middle East and North Africa director.
Concertgoers were accused of terrorism for waving rainbow-colored flags. A journalist charged with “broadcasting false news” was detained repeatedly for three years. A human rights lawyer was arrested for joining a protest he says he did not attend. Several Christians were imprisoned for “aiding a terrorist group,” a reference to the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood organization.
[BREITBART] An Oklahoma police chief says an officer bought Starbucks for 911 dispatchers working on Thanksgiving only to find that the word "PIG" was printed on the cups’ labels.
The officer notified Kiefer Police Chief Johnny O’Mara, who called the store and spoke to a manager. O’Mara says they offered to reprint the computer-generated labels, but he took to social media and posted the photo. It has since gone viral.
The officer told KTUL-TV that the employee reached out to him personally and apologized, saying it was a joke.
However, if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning... in a Friday statement, Starbucks said the worker who wrote the offending word on the cup "used poor judgment and is no longer a partner’’ after the violation of company policy.
"This language is offensive to all law enforcement and is not representative of the deep appreciation we have for coppers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe," the statement said.
In a separate joint statement, Starbucks and the Kiefer Police Department stated they are committed to using the incident as an opportunity to promote greater civility. Starbucks officials said they will be meeting with Kiefer police officials to discuss ways to work together, including a jointly hosted event that will allow local law enforcement to meet with baristas and community members "to discuss the critical role dispatchers and police offers play in keeping our communities safe."
Last year, Starbucks closed stores and had employees undergo anti-bias training after the arrest of two black men in a Philadelphia location. The coffee chain’s executives met with Arizona officers earlier this year after six officers were asked to leave a store because a customer felt unsafe.

Both branches sponsor branches of the Taliban, though with plausible deniability... (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman ...Deobandi holy man, known as Mullah Diesel during the war against the Soviets, his sympathies for the Taliban have never been tempered by honesty... on Friday warned that the Election Commission of Pakistain would lose its credibility if it failed to decide the foreign funding case against the ruling Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... He reiterated his demand that "fair and transparent" elections be held as early as possible since it was the only solution to the recent crisis in the country.
Addressing a protest demonstration in front of the ECP office here, Maulana Fazl was seen to stand firm on his demand of removing the PTI government and announcement of early elections, calling it a consensus decision of all opposition parties which had recently met in Islamabad.
He said the protest in Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... was also part of the same strategy devised by the opposition parties, which decided to organise joint protest rallies and public meetings at district level throughout the country as part of their ongoing anti-government campaign.
"After a series of blunders, this incompetent government has now made the appointment on the most important and sensitive post in the country [chief of the army staff] a joke," he said referring to the recent order of the Supreme Court that suspended the federal government’s Aug 19 notification for extension/reappointment of Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa for another three-year term after completion of his tenure on Nov 28.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Germany’s Deputy Chancellor and Finance Minister Olaf Scholz on Saturday lost the leadership race of his center-left SPD party, throwing the future of Chancellor Angela Merkel ...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists... ’s coalition into question.
Scholz and his running mate Klara Geywitz obtained only 45.33 percent of the vote of the party’s rank and file, soundly beaten by challengers Norbert Walter-Borjans und Saskia Esken, who won with 53.06 percent.
The humiliating loss for Scholz marks another sign of discontent within the Social Democrats over their partnership with Merkel’s center-right party.
It is also a prelude to high drama in the coming week with the party poised to vote on whether to stay in the coalition as they meet for the congress next Friday.
Wounded by an election rout in 2017, the SPD had initially sought to go into opposition, but allowed itself reluctantly to be coaxed into renewing an alliance with Merkel.
Many within the party however remained wary of continuing to govern in Merkel’s shadow, and the coalition has lurched from crisis to crisis.
The SPD has also been battered by a series of regional and Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... an election setbacks this year.
The leadership race was triggered by the departure of the party’s previous leader, Andrea Nahles, after the party’s poor showing in European Parliament elections.
[AlAhram] Sudan's transitional government announced on Friday that it has overturned a moral policing law and moved to dissolve the country's former ruling party, fulfilling two major demands from the country's pro-democracy protesters.
Rights groups say the Public Order Act targets women and is a holdover from the three-decade rule of toppled autocrat Omar al-Bashir ...Former President-for-Life of Sudan He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself head cheese. He fell out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Hee was overthrown by popular consent in 2019. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it... "This law is notorious for being used as a tool of exploitation, humiliation & violation of rights,'' Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok tweeted in reference to the overturned law. "I pay tribute to the women and youth of my country who have endured the atrocities that resulted from the implementation of this law.''
The Public Order Act was first passed in 1992 by al-Bashir's Islamist government and enforced only in the capital, Khartoum, before being applied nationwide four years later. The Shariah-inspired law criminalized a wide range of individual behavior including revealing clothing and drinking alcohol. Those convicted of violating the act could face prison sentences, fines, lashing and confiscation of property.
For decades, human rights One man's rights are another man's existential threat. activists have decried the law and argued that its vague language gave the police and judges leeway to prosecute women, who later played a crucial role in the mass protests that culminated in al-Bashir's overthrow in April.
Sudan's sovereign council and cabinet announced both decisions after a fourteen-hour long meeting that ended shortly after midnight on Thursday. It said the law to dismantle al-Bashir's National Congress Party would also confiscate all the ex-ruling party's assets and funds.
The sovereign council grew out of a power-sharing agreement between the country's ruling generals and protesters demanding sweeping political change. Under the deal, the council and the civilian-led cabinet share legislative powers until a new parliament is formed.
Pro-democracy groups in the country have also held fresh protests demanding the former ruling party's disbandment and the exclusion of all its remnants from different state institutions.
Prime Minister Hamdok tweeted that the bill dismantling al-Bashir's party is not the outcome of "a quest of vengeance but rather to preserve and restore the dignity of our people who have grown weary of the injustice under the hands of NCP, who have looted & hindered the development of this great nation.''
Sudan's Justice Minister Nasr-Eddin Abdul-Bari announced that the law passed by the interim government on Friday would transfer all assets and funds of al-Bashir's party to the state treasury.
"With this law, we will be able to retrieve a lot of funds that were taken from the public treasury to create institutions that acted as a parallel state,'' he said.
The Sudanese Professionals Association, which spearheaded the uprising against al-Bashir, hailed the move as "an important step'' towards the establishment of a civil and democratic state in Sudan.
Al-Bashir was arrested after his overthrow in April and is currently on trial for charges of corruption and money laundering.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Ireland expects to repatriate an Irish citizen aligned to ISIS and her two-year-old daughter from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... this weekend, Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said on Saturday, as Ankara continues its deportation of detainees.
Turkey says it has captured 287 Lions of Islam in northeast Syria, where Ottoman Turkish troops launched an offensive against the Kurdish YPG militia last month, and has hundreds more Death Eater suspects in detention.
It began deporting foreign citizens linked to ISIS earlier this month and Ireland confirmed shortly afterwards that Lisa Smith and her daughter were the two Irish citizens identified by Ankara for deportation.
"It is anticipated that two Irish citizens, Lisa Smith and her daughter will return to Ireland this weekend," Varadkar told news hounds.
"Obviously when it comes to her daughter, she’s a child and she will be protected. In relation to Lisa Smith, the Gardai (Irish police) are going to want to speak to her, they may be in a position to charge her and if they do a prosecution may follow."
Dublin has said for months that it has a responsibility to find a way to bring Smith back to Ireland after she became aligned to the Death Eater group in Syria and that its main concern was for the safe repatriation of her daughter.
Smith had said in media interviews that she wished to return home.
Varadkar had previously said that a security assessment would need to be carried out to ensure that Smith "does not become a threat to life and limb in Ireland."

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Russia’s MiG-31K interceptor jet carried out a test of the Kinjal (Dagger) hypersonic missile in Russia’s part of Arctic earlier this month, TASS news agency reported on Saturday, citing two military sources.
The report came a day after Danish intelligence service warned of intensifying geopolitical rivalry in the Earth’s freezing North, and said that China’s military was increasingly using scientific research in the Arctic as a way into the region.
"The tests took place in mid-November," TASS quoted one of its sources as saying.
The MiG-31K interceptor took off from the Olenegorsk airfield in the northern Murmansk region and fired the missile against a ground target at the Pemboi training ground in Russia’s Arctic Komi region, TASS reported. It did not provide any further detail.
The Danish Defense Intelligence Service said in its annual risk assessment report on Friday that "a great power play is shaping up" between Russia, the United States and China, which is increasing the level of tension in the Arctic region.

This is an interesting read on foreseeable Russian additions to armament.
Long, so get a cup of whatever hot stuff you need to start your day, dear Reader, and settle in for the kind of summary David P. Goldman does so well. Herewith the set-up:
[AsiaTimes] Not a bad spy novel, but a national nightmare: Taking a careful look at the spooks’ campaign to topple Donald Trump.
Book Review: Ball of Collusion, by Andrew C McCarthy (Encounter Books, 2019). Hardcover, 266 pages. US$35.99
America’s Central Intelligence Agency in concert with foreign intelligence services manufactured the myth of Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia, argues Andrew McCarthy, a distinguished federal prosecutor turned public intellectual.
A contributor to Fox News and a prolific writer for The National Review and other conservative media, McCarthy well knows how to build a case and argue it before a jury. His latest book Ball of Collusion should be read carefully by everyone with an interest in American politics. It is exhaustively documented and brilliantly argued, and brings a wealth of evidence to bear on behalf of his thesis that an insular, self-perpetuating Establishment conspired to sandbag an outsider who threatened its perspectives and perquisites.
From my vantage point as an American, the constitutional issue is paramount: The American people elected Donald Trump, and it is horrifying to consider the possibility that a cabal of unelected civil servants supported by the mainstream media might nullify a presidential election. That is why I support the president unequivocally and without hesitation against his detractors.
But this sordid business has deep implications for America’s allies as well as her rivals. Trump is not a popular president overseas, except in Poland, Hungary, and Israel. In the eyes of polite opinion, McCarthy writes, “Donald Trump was anathema: a know-nothing narcissist – as uncouth as Queens – riding a populist-nationalist wave of fellow yahoos that threatened their tidy, multilateral post-World War II order.” China (and not only China) views Trump as a bully who presses American advantage at the risk of disruption to the global economy.
Donald Trump has one quality for which the rest of the world should be grateful: He really does not care how China, Russia, or any other country manages its affairs. By “America First,” he simply means that he cares about what happens in America, and is incurious about what happens outside America unless it affects his country directly. That stands in sharp contrast to view of all the wings of America’s political Establishment – progressive, “realist” and neoconservative – who believe that America should bring about the millenarian End of History by bringing democracy to Iraq and Afghanistan, by expanding NATO into a giant social-engineering project, by pressing China to transform itself into a Western-style democracy, and so forth.
McCarthy reports in persuasive detail how the spooks set up the president. There is more to be said, though, about why they did it. I will summarize McCarthy’s findings, and afterward discuss the motivation.

Most interesting nugget from the piece is Spengler/Goldman's anecdote of his dinner with a ChiCom senior military official who asserted, "General Petraeus created ISIS in order to destabilize China,” a senior Chinese military official informed me over dinner in 2015.
Spengler/Goldman:
The individual in question appears, incidentally, as one of China’s masterminds of so-called unrestricted warfare in Michael Pillsbury’s now-celebrated book The Hundred Year Marathon.
“That’s ridiculous,” I replied.
“It is not ridiculous in the least,” the Chinese soldier continued in the benevolent tone in which one instructs low-aptitude recruits. “There are ISIS leaders whom we have identified and tracked who were trained by Petraeus during the ‘Surge,’” the counter-insurgency campaign that David Petraeus conducted in 2008-2009 to contain a Sunni rebellion against the majority Shiite government that the United States had helped bring to power in 2007.
I tried to explain: “This was a comedy of errors. ... When Obama took US forces out of Iraq, a lot of the same Sunnis who took money from Petraeus faced the same Shiite state, and became non-state actors, that is ISIS. And the CIA’s support for Sunni jihadist opponents of the Assad government in Syria made matters worse, as the Defense Intelligence Agency warned in a notorious 2012 report.”
My Chinese interlocutor was not impressed. “You’re trying to tell me that the people who run the world’s great superpower are complete idiots who don’t think about the consequences of their actions? I don’t believe you.”

For being on the other side, he's simply a bigger level of idiot. And the Chinese, in particular, are dependent on the US political class besides Trump being similar types of traitorous idiots, otherwise they wouldn't have an alliance with the country that was shielding Osama Bin Laden.
So they're talking out of both sides of their mouths on both of their faces, IMHO.
I gotta go off the net to cook some turkey, have a nice day, all y'all.

The Chinese have been setting one barbarian against another for thousands of years, so they're projecting their time-honored tradition onto Uncle Sam. And they're equally familiar with the possibility that the balls don't always stay up in the air, however skilled the juggler. A case in point is the way they allied with the Mongols against their old enemy, the Jurchens. The Jurchen defeat freed the Mongols to embark upon the destruction of Song China.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Several hundred mostly women protesters rallied in the Tunisian capital on Saturday against violence targeting women, urging authorities to act to ensure their rights.
Demonstrators marched through the city center, waving brooms to symbolize the sweeping away of violence against women.
The march was called for by some 50 local NGOs including the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women (ATFD).
Some protesters beat on drums and others rapped on pans, chanting "Solidarity with women victims of violence!"
The march followed an incident in October in which a newly elected politician was shown in a video that purported to show him masturbating outside a school.
MP Zouheir Makhlouf said he is diabetic and had been urinating into a bottle.
He walked free after being investigated for alleged sexual harassment and public indecency.
The video went viral and sparked Tunisia’s own #MeToo movement, with sex abuse victims breaking taboos under the hashtag #EnaZeda.
It was inspired by the huge global movement that emerged in 2017 in the wake of sexual assault allegations against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Demonstrators on Saturday carried posters bearing slogans such as "Equality between woman and man doesn’t kill, violence kills."
"We want to see a real mobilization by the authorities to end all forms of violence against women and to be firm with perpetrators of such violence," said protester Selma Bhar.
An awareness campaign about sexual harassment on public transport was launched in Tunisia at the end of October.
A law was enacted in July 2017 outlawing sexual harassment in public places and laying down a maximum penalty of a year in prison and a 3,000-dinar ($1,000) fine.
But despite this, few women in Tunisia file complaints after such crimes.

Kinda charming, actually, how genuine and un-woke these ladies appear.
But maybe brooms aren't such a good symbol. Might attract too many Wiccans, or their maghrebine equivalents...
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iranian opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi has compared Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei ...the actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini... to the Shah, the monarch deposed in a 1979 revolution, following the government’s crackdown on protests this month.
The unrest began on Nov. 15 after the government of the Islamic Theocratic Republic, one of OPEC’s biggest oil producers, announced gasoline price hikes. But the protests quickly turned political, with demonstrators demanding the removal of top leaders.
Khamenei has described the violence as the work of a "very dangerous conspiracy." The Tehran government has blamed "thugs" linked to its opponents in exile and the country’s main foreign foes.
Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... has given no official corpse count, but Amnesia Amnesty International has said that at least 161 people have been killed. Tehran has rejected this figure.
Mousavi’s comments about Khamenei, the highest authority in the Islamic Theocratic Republic, were posted in a statement on the opposition Kaleme website. He made a reference to an infamous 1978 massacre which rallied public support and led to the toppling of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
"The killers of the year 1978 were the representatives of a non-religious regime and the agents and shooters of November 2019 are the representatives of a religious government," he said. "Then the commander in chief was the Shah and today, here, the Supreme Leader with absolute authority."
He called on the government to "pay attention to the repercussions of the Jaleh square killings" of 1978.
A front man for the Tehran government could not be reached for comment on the remarks outside office hours.
Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi ran in a presidential election in June 2009 but lost out to hardliner Mahmoud Short Round Ahmadinejad. The two men became figureheads for Iranians who staged mass protests after the vote, which they said was rigged.
Karroubi, Mousavi and Mousavi’s wife Zahra Rahnavard have been under house arrest in Tehran since 2011 after the opposition leaders called on supporters to rally in solidarity with pro-democracy uprisings in Arab countries.

Your discussion is interesting and frightening, but I believe you have your history wrong.
Mugabe did not take power in a revolution.
The government of the previous regime, under prime minister Ian Smith, was forced by the combined influence of all western powers, which boycotted his regime and threatened it with destruction for not sharing power with the indigenous peoples.
As a result of that pressure a "Democracy" was set up in the new state of Zimbabwe, on the principle of one man one vote, among all the peoples of the country. These included the 'settlers' as well as members of many tribes, of which two of them were much larger than the rest. Mugabe's tribe was the largest and as a result he won the first election, and he proceeded to slowly absorb all of its wealth among his favorites, as is not unusual among all powerful rulers.
Anyone with the slightest bit of foresight suspected that Zimbabwe would become a disaster, but that did not discourage the do-gooders of the United States and Great Britain from forcing the termination of the Smith regime.
I was under the impression that the Chinese government has more or less taken over the country, and any starvation should be laid at its feet.
The countries that coerced the present failures do share some responsibility for the consequences of their folly, but they have never acknowledged their folly at all.
If thee is now talk of famine, it is to encourage western do-gooders to donate food for the starving people
Unfortunately, in the past, when famines occur, usually caused by natural disasters, such donations have been given to the starving people rather to the farmers. The latter then cannot sell what small crops they salvage at all at any price, and so the country ends up perpetually dependent on gifts from abroad, another brilliant way to help people.

So damned predictable.
Destroy the price structure => destroy incentives for farmers to plant or industry to produce
Destroy incentives => destroy capacity
Destroy capacity => increase dependence on foreign "aid"
Increase imports => destroy incentive to produce
etc
etc
Criminally stupid.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies.... said people convicted of terrorism offenses should not be allowed out of prison early after it was revealed the London Bridge attacker was released from jail last year before the end of his sentence.
Wearing a fake boom jacket and wielding knives, Usman Khan went on the rampage on Friday afternoon at a conference on criminal rehabilitation beside London Bridge.
"I think that the practice of automatic, early release where you cut a sentence in half and let really serious, violent offenders out early simply isn’t working, and you’ve some very good evidence of how that isn’t working, I am afraid, with this case," Johnson said on Saturday.
Britannia’s Queen Elizabeth sent her "thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies to all those who have lost loved ones" in the London Bridge attack, PA Media reported on Saturday.
[SPUTNIKNEWS] US President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... surprised Denmark this August by suggesting that Washington could buy the semi-autonomous and subsidised territory from the kingdom. The latter, however, firmly declined POTUS' offer.
The latest risk assessment report by Denmark's Defence Intelligence Service has showed a drastic change in the country's security priorities, with the kingdom's Greenland territory considered to be at greater risk than anything else, putting the defence of the region above measures to counter terrorism and cybercrime.
The shift in stance was partly linked to a recent move by the US president, who offered the country a hefty sum in exchange for the island, which is rich in significant deposits of valuable, but hard to access, resources, the BBC reported, citing the risk assessment document. Denmark responded negatively to the offer.
But this is not the only reason that Greenland was put at the top of the Danish risk list. The Intelligence Service argues that the "power game" in the Arctic region, where the island is located, has intensified in recent years. Russia, Canada, Denmark, and the US are at odds in the area, presenting their various and conflicting claims to the Arctic territories to the UN.
The US is ostensibly trying to prevent Russia's expansion in the Arctic and is mulling building military bases there to prevent this. Moscow, in turn, is not planning on stopping its exploration missions in the region, where resource deposits, including fossil fuels, are becoming increasingly available with the ice slowly retreating and drilling technologies advancing.
If the locals will take care of the problem instead of us, all the better.

The DDIS doesn't make the evening news very often.

PARIS (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday said his remarks that NATO was experiencing "brain death" had been a useful wake-up call to alliance members, and he would not apologise for saying it. Same might be said for some other activities. Idle hands, devil's workshops, etc.
Macron, whose overtures to Russia in past months have worried allies in eastern Europe, said the key question now for NATO should be to decide who was its shared foe, given that the Soviet Union had long fallen.
"Who is our common enemy?" Macron asked. "This question deserves to be clarified."
Yes, it does.
"Is our enemy today, as I hear sometimes, Russia? Is it China? Is it the Atlantic alliance's purpose to designate them as enemies? I don't think so," Macron said.
"Our common enemy at the alliance is, it seems, terrorism, which has hit all of our countries." NATO's job isn't to defend against terrorism. It's supposed to defend against Russia, but Europeans don't see Russia as a threat. So why is NATO still around?
Disband it. It's long past its sell-by date. The Europeans despise us and the bases in Europe do nothing but serve as springboards for unnecessary, ruinously expensive military adventures.

It's been brain dead since the Wall came down. Mission accomplished. However institutions and bureaucracies somehow believe they are irreplaceable and must live forever.

Zero scored a $68 MILLION sweetheart contract with an entertainment company whose entire business depends on favorable regulatory treatment in Washington.
= Massive corruption, hidden in plain sight.
Future generations will look at our era as a rival toe the Robber Baron era for the prostitution of our politics and the domination of our economy by a few unscrupulous oligarch wannabes who bought off a large percentage of this nation's political class.
