[NY Post] Hostage Video
Hamas published a propaganda video of Israeli-American dual citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin on Wednesday, marking the first sign of life from the 23-year-old since he was abducted by the terror group on Oct. 7.
In the video, a gaunt-looking Goldberg-Polin identified himself as Israeli and said he had been held captive for "nearly 200 days," suggesting that the video was taken recently, the Times of Israel noted.
Goldberg-Polin is seen with a buzzed haircut and missing his left arm from below the elbow.
The limb was blown off when Hamas descended on the Supernova music festival in the Negev desert in the early hours of Oct. 7.
Goldberg-Polin was at the festival with a friend, and narrowly survived the initial attack before he was caught on video being loaded into a truck with his left arm visibly mangled.
Goldberg-Polin’s parents, Rachel Goldberg and Jon Polin — who met as children in Chicago — declined to give interviews immediately after the video was released, their media rep told The Post.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Atlantic Beach Police Chief Quentin Robinson was among at least 10 people arrested Tuesday and booked into the Horry County jail on prostitution charges, according to online records for the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
The arrests were part of an operation led by Horry County police, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
Robinson, 41, posted a $500 bond Wednesday morning and was released from jail, online records showed.
Robinson has been with the department since 2015, according to South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy records. He joined the department after working at the Florence County Detention Center from 2012-15.
News13 has reached out to Horry County police and the mayor and town manager in Atlantic Beach to get more information about the investigation and Robinson’s arrest but has not heard back.
"He joined the department after working at the Florence County Detention Center from 2012-15."
So a background in Corrections, not enforcement and prevention. Curious choice to lead a department. Oh wait - "The historic four-block town of Atlantic Beach has four officers, with Robinson included..."
With him on administrative leave, the town will be down to three officers.
[People] A Montana woman’s final words before she died after visiting a sushi restaurant have been revealed.
On April 17, 2023, Donna Ventura, 64, was struck with what her husband believed was food poisoning and went into cardiac arrest after consuming a sushi roll containing salmon and uncooked morel mushrooms at local dining spot Dave’s Sushi. She died 12 days later in the intensive care unit on April 29.
During her hospitalization at Bozeman Deaconess Regional Medical Center in Montana, Donna was left unable to speak. She communicated her last words to her family in handwritten messages, sharing that she was ready to go after being in too much pain, her husband Jon Ventura shared.
"Some of the messages she wrote were, 'I’m not sure I can go on much longer, how are we going to manage, I can’t stand the pain,' " he told local outlet KBZK. "The last couple she wrote were to me and our son where she wrote, 'I love you,' and to our son, she wrote, 'I love you, Mr. C.' "
[10News] Google fired at least 20 more workers in the aftermath of protests over technology the company is supplying the Israeli government amid the Gaza war, bringing the total number of terminated staff to more than 50, a group representing the workers said.
It's the latest sign of internal turmoil at the tech giant centered on “Project Nimbus,” a $1.2 billion contract signed in 2021 for Google and Amazon to provide the Israeli government with cloud computing and artificial intelligence services.
Workers held sit-in protests last week at Google offices in New York and Sunnyvale, California. The company responded by calling the police, who made arrests.
The group organizing the protests, No Tech For Apartheid, said the company fired 30 workers last week — higher than the initial 28 they had announced.
Then, on Tuesday night, Google fired “over 20” more staffers, “including non-participating bystanders during last week’s protests,” said Jane Chung, a spokeswoman for No Tech For Apartheid, without providing a more specific number.
“Google’s aims are clear: the corporation is attempting to quash dissent, silence its workers, and reassert its power over them,” Chung said in a press release. “In its attempts to do so, Google has decided to unceremoniously, and without due process, upend the livelihoods of over 50 of its own workers.”
Or possibly Google’s senior management has finally realized that personal politics do not belong in the workplace, and so is taking the opportunity to get rid of those staffers who disagree.

Wasn't there a thing about not arresting protesters outside a Judge's home?
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] More than 200 pro-Palestine protesters were taken into custody Tuesday night after a 'Seder on the Streets' demonstration held outside the home of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
In Brooklyn on Tuesday, protesters held a Passover Sedar, a ritual holiday meal and service, while urging Schumer, the highest elected Jewish American, to support an end to the US sending weapons for Israel's war in Gaza, organizers said in a statement.
'Hundreds will risk arrest while demanding Senator Schumer, who has recently spoken sharply against Netanyahu, take the next step and stop arming Israel,' the statement said, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
A spokesperson for the NYPD confirmed to DailyMail.com that 209 people were detained, though an official number of arrests will not be available until later Wednesday morning, as some of the mob may just receive a summons.
Far left groups Jewish Voice for Peace, far-left IfNotNow and Jews for Racial & Economic Justice led the estimated 2,000 protesters at Schumer's Prospect Park home.
Another project of the Soros Open Society Foundation’s anti-Israel section, with participants dressed up in metaphorical Jew face.
Senator Schumer was no one near his home Tuesday, as he was leading the passage of a $95billion aid package to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
The package that passed 79-18 ties together $60 billion for Ukraine, $26 billion for Israel and Gaza and around $4 billion for the Indo-Pacific - and a measure that could see TikTok banned in the US.
'The bill the senator's just passed on the floor includes roughly $10 billion for humanitarian aid in Gaza and billions for Ukraine,' Schumer spokesman Angelo Roefaro told the New York Daily News in a statement.
'Everything in our tradition compels us to bring everything we have to stopping these historic atrocities being done in our names and with our tax dollars,' said Jewish Voice for Peace Executive Director Stefanie Fox to the New York Times.
Last month, Schumer, said he believes Israel should hold a new election once the war in Gaza winds down. He gave a scathing critique of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he put himself in a coalition with 'far-right extremists' and warned 'Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah.'
Beth Miller, Jewish Voice for Peace's political director, said those words are meaningless if he continues to fund the Israeli operation.
The Israel security bill will offer $4 billion to replenish Israel's Iron Dome Missile Defense system and billions more for weapons systems, artillery and munitions, as well as an additional $2.4 billion for US operations in the region.
Nine billion dollars in that bill goes to humanitarian relief for Palestinians in Gaza.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]… concert hall massacre which left 144 people dead: 'We are increasingly concerned'
The FBI director has issued a stark warning about the heightened possibility of a coordinated terror attack in the US
Christopher Wray told NBC such an attack 'may be not that different from what you saw against the concert hall in Russia' by ISIS-K
The FBI had 4,000 international terrorism investigations open at the end of the 2023 fiscal year
The FBI had 4,000 international terrorism investigations open at the end of the 2023 fiscal year, according to Wray's testimony. Wray told NBC the terror threat for the US has increased following Hamas' deadly attack on Israel on October 7.
'We thought that even before October 7' he explained 'that the terrorism threat was already elevated.
'Post-October 7 it has gone to a whole other level.'
Speaking about the increasingly hostile international environment and the potential spill over of terror Wray added: 'Whether it's the threat from China, Russia, Iran, [there are] terrorism threats both foreign terrorism threats and domestic terrorist threats.'
Wray, who was appointed by Trump in 2017, has been campaigning in Congress to receive more funding for his agency. The FBI's fiscal 2024 budget fell $500 million short of what was needed to maintain its current functions, Reuters reported.
Wray and the FBI have been a target for former president Trump's ire, arguing that they have unfairly targeted him in investigations. Trump recently called on Congress to slash the agency's funding, while calling the FBI and the Justice Department as 'vicious monsters.'
The increasingly heated attacks on the bureau have led to a rise in attacks on its employees and buildings, according to Reuters.
'We have seen a substantial jump in threats towards FBI personnel and facilities from fiscal year 2022 to fiscal year 2023,' Wray told Congress.
Adding: 'In fact, we created a dedicated unit to try to deal with those issues.'
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the March attack on Crocus City Hall. IS released shocking footage of the terrorists firing indiscriminately into the crowd of 6,000 inside the concert hall.
Four suspects were arrested hours after the attack and appeared to have been beaten before appearing before a Russian court. Footage of brutal interrogation sessions by the Russian security forces appeared online with reports that at least one of the suspects suffered electric shocks, the BBC reported.
President Vladimir Putin said 'we know that the crime was committed by the hands of radical Islamists, followers of an ideology that the Islamic world itself has been fighting against for centuries'.
That was initially. Later Russia reported that the four captured Tajiks admitted during interrogation that they were hired for a laughable sum, and the paymaster was Ukraine.

When you intuitively know really bad things are coming because your country has been invaded, and you cannot keep up with the overwhelming volume of Threat Actors flooding the country among the millions, but you want to sound informed, you put out vague stuff like this.
[Breitbart] Roughly half a million Colombians took to the streets of the nation’s main cities on Sunday in what is considered the largest peaceful protest yet against the nation’s far-left President Gustavo Petro.
Nobody wants socialist healthcare, which in the endprovides either health nor care.
While Petro himself has publicly downplayed Sunday’s attendance numbers, claiming that only some 250,000 participated nationwide, local security authorities have estimated that roughly 350,000 citizens flocked to the streets of the city of Medellín alone, and an additional 180,000 participated in the capital city of Bogotá. Peaceful demonstrations were reported in other Colombian cities such as Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Bucaramanga.
Local opposition politicians have declared Sunday’s protests larger than the historic peaceful protest against the Marxist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) terrorist organization in 2008.
Sunday’s event, nicknamed the “March of the White Coats,” featured peaceful protestors rejecting Petro’s proposed socialist reforms, with a special emphasis on opposition to Petro’s attempts to a reform the nation’s healthcare system. Petro, a former member of the Marxist M19 guerrilla and the nation’s first left-wing president ever, has made socialist healthcare reform a flagship policy of his administration.
“We are protesting against pension reform and also against healthcare reform. We are against everything our president is doing to our country,” one of the protesters told Radio France Internationale (RFI).
“We don’t want a dictatorship like Venezuela’s. Out Petro! Out Petro!” Another protester said.
Over the past two years, Petro has attempted to introduce leftist healthcare reforms to grant the state more control of Colombia’s healthcare resources, facilities, and programs while severely diminishing the role of private providers.
The controversial reform package was officially defeated in the Colombian Congress in early April. Petro, however, has insisted on pursuing the reform and responded to his project’s defeat in Congress by starting to forcibly implement it via decree. One of the decrees ordered an intervention of Colombia’s largest state-owned healthcare insurance providers, which Colombian opposition politicians denounced as authoritarian.
In addition to the healthcare reform, Petro is seeking to implement socialist changes to Colombia’s social, economic, labor, and political laws. Much like the defeated healthcare reform, none of his other proposals have been able to pass in Congress at press time.
Petro has openly threatened to call for a “Constituent Assembly” to rewrite the constitution to codify his failed reforms — a move that echoes plans enacted by other leftist regimes in the region such as Venezuela, Bolivia, and Ecuador.
Members of the Colombian opposition and civil society have held frequent, near-monthly peaceful protests against Petro and his far-left government. Last month, an estimated 50,000 Colombian citizens participated in the “March of the Majorities,” expressing their energetic rejection of Petro and his policies.
Petro responded to Sunday’s peaceful events with a lengthy social media post in which he claimed that the purpose of the peaceful protests is to allegedly “overthrow” his government in a “soft coup” plot against him. Petro also downplayed Sunday’s massive turnout, claiming that only 250,000 had participated nationwide, a number that is roughly half of what local security estimated.
“The main objective of the marches is to shout ‘Out Petro’ and overthrow the government of change. This process has already begun and it is a soft coup to annul the popular decision for change in 2022,” Petro’s message read.
“Some sectors of the mobilized people want a pact to undo the reforms that are in favor of the people in order to maintain the capture of huge amounts of public money used as private profits,” the message continued.
Petro asserted that the “popular forces must respond” to Sunday’s peaceful protests on May 1 during the communist “May Day” holiday, summoning his sympathizers to march on that day in support of his leftist government.
“It is not a question of dividing the country, it is already divided. It is also about the popular voice. In the face of these different voices, the government will seek paths of understanding.” Petro said.
“If the right wing wants to circumvent the elections and disrespect the vote of the people, there will be no understanding. The national pact is for the future and not for the past,” he continued.
Petro concluded his message by claiming that his government has “always been open” to dialogue, but warning that “change is about more Social Justice and more equity for the people.”
[Breitbart] Iranian MMA fighter Ali Heibati has been given a lifetime ban from the Hard Fighting Championship (HFC) after kicking a ring girl.
“Iranian fighter Ali Heibati faced Arkady Osipyan at the Hardcore MMA tournament in Moscow on Friday night,” reported the Daily Mail. “Before the fight had even got underway, Heibati bizarrely stepped forward and kicked a ring girl in the derriere as she walked past holding up a card signaling that the opening round was about to start.”
“The woman turned around and was clearly taken aback by Heibati’s behaviour, approaching him to voice her disapproval before the referee stepped in to keep them apart and appeared to warn Heibati about his conduct,” it added.
The fight commenced moments later, with Osipyan handily beating Heibati with a technical knockout in the first round. Following his loss, Heibati’s antics continued when he started throwing cheap shots at Osipyan’s back as the referee walked him to his corner. After some people jumped into the cage to break the commotion, Heibati then got into a scuffle with a commentator and aimed a kick at his head. Later, the crowd could be seen rushing Heibati and proceeded to beat him severely.
Heibati later apologized for his actions on social media, specifically to the ring girl, Maria.
“Hello, everyone. This is for Maria. I didn’t act right with her. The reason was that before the MMA fight, there were a lot of fistfights. I stayed there in the cage, and I just wanted to go out and fight,” he said.
“I was tense and, as most understand, emotions flourish in the fight, so before the fight, I acted badly towards María,” he added. “I want to publicly apologise to her. I am a married man, so I respect the female gender. She was doing her job, and I, after the fight, didn’t admit my guilt either because they also hit me on the head. Tell María that I am sorry.”
[Breitbart] Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is a “full equity partner in the firm” of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said during a Tuesday appearance on Breitbart News Daily.
While Lee said he considered Johnson a friend and ally in the past, he said he has transitioned to the “opposite direction” and is “not on the side of the field” that he hoped. Further, Lee said he is “saddened to report that he appears to have been elevated to full equity partner in the firm” of Schumer, McConnell, and Jeffries.
“I don’t know how to explain it,” he said, noting that Johnson has adopted the ways of the “firm.”
“I’ve never seen such a flip. I’ve never seen such a transition in the opposite direction from what I expected. And, you know, I defended a number of decisions that he’s made — defended him personally in circumstances where he had made decisions I didn’t like, thinking, ‘Okay, he’s gonna find his feet.’ But I think he’s found his feet. They’re just not on the side of the field I had hoped and expected to see,” the senator explained.
Lee responded to different theories on why Johnson flipped so much as some wonder if the swamp has something on him while others ponder if better negotiators just steamrolled him. Some wonder if Johnson is bending because he is working with such a slim majority in the House. Lee, however, said he tends to gravitate toward the simpler explanations.
“To me, the simplest explanation — and, therefore, the favorite one — is that sometimes when somebody gets into a position of power, they really like being in that position of power … So maybe, for whatever reason, he’s concluded that the very best way to hold on to this position to remain as speaker for a longer period of time is to make nice with the war hawks and the intel hawks and the other militant moderate groups within the House of Representatives, even though that’s not who he has been,” he said, adding that it is also not how Johnson typically voted in the past.
“I think he’s chosen his side in order to hold on to power, and, quite ironically, by choosing to hold on to power, I suspect he may ultimately lead to his own demise as a speaker,” Lee predicted, noting how Republicans are somehow unable to get anything done with slim majorities, but Democrats do not seem to have that problem when they are in a similar position.
“Why is it that the bare simplest of thin majorities for the Democrats in the Senate — where you have to have 60 votes to pass most things — why is it that the Democrats get literally everything they want in the Senate, and Republicans, where a simple majority carries the day, get absolutely nothing that they want in the House,” he said, blasting Johnson for making arguments without explaining how he has come to his conclusions, largely hiding behind sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs).
“If you can’t justify a vote by what you can say in public, you might be doing it wrong. In fact, you probably are, but under no circumstances do you go out there and say, ‘I’m right. And you’re wrong. But I can’t tell you why.’ That’s not appropriate,” Lee said.

^Maybe you don't give the man enough credit - because, as of now, closing the borders is not enough. You also have to deport these who're already in - and that would require (very) wide public support.
[Jpost] Police arrested 21 individuals suspected of planning a Passover sacrifice in Jerusalem. The Hanenu organization's legal center was notified of eight arrests.
During police activities throughout the city, officers identified several suspects carrying a goat, or hiding a goat in various ways, including inside shopping bags and strollers.
Religiously, as I understand it, this is nonsense. Until the Temple is rebuilt, sanctified by the sacrifice of pure red heifers without blemish by properly trained priests from the Cohen sub-tribe of the priestly Levite tribe, no Jewish sacrifice on the Temple Mount can be acceptable.
[Bee] As pro-Palestine groups continued to gather on campus following the establishment of the Gaza Solidarity Encampment, Columbia University protestors clarified that they only want "Death to America" after America is done paying their student loans for them.
"Death to America... in like, 3 or 4 years when I graduate!" shouted one student protestor. "America truly is the ’Great Satan' that ravages and oppresses other countries and deserves to be wiped off the face of the earth...as soon as the American taxpayers finish paying off our tuition loans!
"But as soon as that's done, then, yeah, totally, death to America!"
The mob of angry students occupying the Gaza Solidarity Encampment agreed that this was an entirely reasonable requirement. "America owes us. You, know, for being all evil and horrible and stuff," said an apparently well-educated student at the university. "We demand loan forgiveness from America. Then it can die as soon as that's done."
As part of this agreement, Columbia students vowed to maintain barely passing grades in all of their liberal arts classes for the duration of time it takes taxpayers to cover their debt.
At publishing time, the Columbia protestors had also called for the death of Elon Musk, but only after they get a Tesla.

Last time I checked - "Death to America" is basically insurrection. And from that you can make a reasonable assumption that DoJ/FBI are on their side by the old "the dog that did not bark".
[Hot Air] Many fear that it’s like the 1930s when the Jewish myth of assimilation was shattered, when age-old ignorance and hatred resurfaced, a precursor to the murder of six million Jews.
It isn’t. It’s worse. In the mid-1930s, the sleeping curse was awakening in Germany alone. Today, Jews are afraid in Australia, South Africa, all over Europe, as the useful idiots march, curse and verbally and sometimes physically abuse innocent Jews, in the name of protecting Palestinians. It’s always in the name of something. As someone wrote, antisemitism is a light sleeper.
Today, everywhere, Jews ask themselves the generational question: Where can we be safe? Where do they not hate us?

[Hayom] A 32-year-old Jewish woman in the Paris suburb of Gennevilliers was allegedly the victim of a horrific antisemitic crime this week. According to French media reports, the woman claims she was raped, kidnapped, and threatened with murder by a man seeking revenge against her for Palestinians.
The suspect, who has not been publicly named, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with religiously-motivated death threats and drug offenses. Prosecutors believe the kidnapping charge is warranted, though the rape allegation is still under investigation.
The victim told police she met the perpetrator on a dating app in 2023. She says he held her against her will in his apartment, where he assaulted and threatened her. The suspect allegedly sent disturbing texts to the woman's mother saying he would "prostitute" her daughter to "avenge Palestine."
The shocking case has drawn outrage across the political spectrum in France. Politicians from both the Left and Right condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with the Jewish community.
Marine Le Pen of the National Rally party blamed "far-left" inaction for allowing an environment of antisemitism to fester. The government's anti-racism delegation called the importation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to France unacceptable.

What do you mean "become"?
A friend pointed out something interesting to me: If you watch videos and look at still photos from pro-Hamas events on college campuses, what you notice is a preponderance of women. Perhaps because they are more photogenic.
There are men there and even members of the gay and "trans" crowd, but it’s the women who are front and center, and who occupy most of the protest real estate. Their presence at these protests shows the catastrophic decline and fall of progressive women.
Today’s progressive Democrats have their roots in the late 19th and early 20th century when socialism became the creed of white, upper-class American and British intellectuals. Among this group were women of true intellectual heft, [prob weren't getting many roots]
and that’s true even though we can disdain their values (e.g., Crystal Eastman, Helen Keller, Jean Webster, Jane Addams, Annie Besant, Beatrice Webb, Vera Brittain, Winifred Holtby, and Harriot Stanton Blatch). They were well educated in the Western canon and Christian philosophy, and they retained those values and education even as they foolishly believed that socialism was the answer to the societal problems they saw.
This kind of intellectual solidity continued with the first generation of hard-left post-WWII feminists, women such as Betty Friedan, Gloria Steinem, Maya Angelou, Shirley Chisholm, and Simone de Beauvoir. No matter how badly one thinks of these women—and I do because [I'm a Oedipal misogynist, AND]
their pernicious ideas have destroyed families, children, and society as a whole—they weren’t idiots. They were committed communists who effectively focused their knowledge and intelligence on the single goal of breaking down Western institutions.
However, I suspect many of these women genuinely believed their efforts would not only give women greater rights within society, but actually improve women, giving them the opportunity to be better and smarter. Women would no longer be an appendage to men; they would be wise solons in their own right. But intentions don’t shape outcomes and that’s nowhere truer than when it comes to the fruits of the women’s movement.
Unless they retain strong conservative goals, college breaks women:
Research has broadly shown that women report worse rates of mental health compared to their male counterparts. This gender gap has become even more apparent among Gen Zers.
Recent data from the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, for example, show that young women deal with appreciably higher levels of stress and anxiety than their male counterparts. When college students were asked about how often they feel stressed, frustrated, or overwhelmed, more than three-quarters (77%) of all students reported feeling these feelings more than half of the time. A closer look found that 84% of women, compared to 66% of men [generally in a stupor from drunken debauchery]
reported regularly feeling stressed and overwhelmed. This 18-percentage-point difference points to something larger going on with collegiate women.
The gender gap continues across a host of additional mental health questions. While more than two-thirds of students (68%) reported feeling anxious more than half of the time, 77% of women, compared to 56% of men, reported feeling anxious this frequently. About 51% of female students said they feel lonely regularly, compared to 43% of male students. And 45% of female students feel depressed regularly, compared to one-third (33%) of male students.
No wonder white, liberal women are disproportionately diagnosed with mental health problems. At present, we hear a lot about mental problems of trangendered: man who try to become women. Makes sense that women trying to become men (although in less drastic fashion) will have mental problems.

Its not just the "liberal" women. Part of the problem of mounting a "beyond the level of the steal" turnout for the 2020 and 2024 elections is that white women in general don't take these things seriously. They concern themselves with "civility" rather than civilization...i.e. the focus on "mean tweets". I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "Make America Nice Again". How's that working out for everyone?
There are plenty of women who have a "R" on their voter registration card who are going to pull the lever for Biden because they lack any understanding of where we truly are in the world.

To continue: "In a word, they’re neurotic. Well, let’s add some more words: They’re also paranoid, credulous, hysterical, and authoritarian. As George Orwell wrote of the women who embraced Big Brother’s progressive party line, “It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy.”"
#7
Well of course. Women believe everything and everyone should conform to their notions of "what's right."
They are big on "their truth," which seldom if ever aligns with the truth.

[Jpost] Leaks from American security and diplomatic sources are a growing concern, especially when they relate to Israel and Iran's sensitive geopolitical landscape. Rather than protecting Israel's security and fostering diplomatic stability, these leaks are causing anxiety, pressure, and chaos.
This breach of discretion has significant implications, undermining diplomatic efforts and potentially escalating an already volatile situation.
Israeli officials have taken a strategic approach to addressing their security needs, retaliating where they were attacked while avoiding public acknowledgment to maintain stability.
This careful balancing act is crucial in a region prone to escalation. Israeli security and governmental sources, speaking to The Jerusalem Post, noted that Israel responded proportionally: "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."
Despite this, they refrained from officially accepting responsibility for an attack, knowing that public acknowledgment could escalate tensions.

If the DC Swamp and the O'Biden Regime have proven anything. Sharing anything with DC just adds a few mins delay, than if the IDF just called Tehran directly.
[IsraelTimes] During visit to Pakistan, Raisi says ’Zionist regime’ will be destroyed if Israel attacks, vows to continue supporting ’the Palestinian resistance’
An Israeli attack on Iranian territory could radically change dynamics and result in there being nothing left of the "Zionist regime," Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi was quoted as saying on Tuesday by the official IRNA news agency.
Raisi began a three day visit to Pakistain on Monday, and has vowed to boost trade between the neighboring nations to $10 billion a year.
The two Moslem neighbors are seeking to mend ties after unprecedented tit-for-tat military strikes this year.

"Such a broad and damaging attack would have been far harder for Iran to overlook, increasing the chances of a forceful Iranian counterattack," the paper said.
Israel has not officially acknowledged responsibility for the counterstrike, though several of its leaders have intimated responsibility. Iran has played down the significance of the response and not directly blamed Israel, which the Times said was being interpreted as "Iranian reluctance to respond."

[IsraelTimes] ’The terrorist threat is serious at this moment,’ agency head says
Western intelligence prevented at least 10 jihadist attacks across Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... last year, and the current Israel-Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... war has increased the threat of further attacks, Dutch intelligence agency AIVD said on Tuesday.
The foiled attacks included a plan to stab people at random and preparations for an assault on specific buildings and events, the AIVD said in its annual report, without elaborating.
"There were two mobilizing issues: The destruction of Korans in the Netherlands and other European countries and the conflict between Israel and Hamas," the Dutch agency said.
"The terrorist threat is serious at this moment," the agency’s director-general, Erik Akerboom, said.
Akerboom said he is particularly concerned about big events, noting that the agency is working closely with French authorities to prevent incidents during the Gay Paree Olympics this summer.
Earlier this month, four teenagers were arrested in Germany for suspected planning of Islamist terror attacks on churches and synagogues.
Sweden raised its terror alert in August to the second-highest level, after Koran burning
...One of the basic tenets of Islam is that once a Koran has been printed it is expected to last for all time, no matter how old, ratty, and smelly other, lesser holy books may become. Should it actually become necessary to put a Koran out of its misery there is a ritual that includes extensive charivari, featuring long drawn-wailing and head bonking, ritual wife beating, and the sacrifice of dozens of women's noses and pubic lips. When the actual disposal has been completed there is a prescribed period of celebratory gun sex with the expectation of a minimum of two hundred casualties. Should actual infidels dispose of a Koran, Islamic custom calls for three weeks of rioting and a minimum of three dozen dead, which is a holdover from the days of Moloch worship.... s and other acts in the country targeting the holy book of Islam outraged Moslems and triggered threats from jihadists.
In October, two Swedish soccer fans were rubbed out in Brussels, allegedly by a man who identified himself as a member of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... jihadist group.
Also in October, a 20-year-old man fatally stabbed a teacher and gravely maimed two other people in an attack at a school in the northern French city of Arras, in what French President Emmanuel Macron condemned as "barbaric Islamic terrorism."
The AIVD did not say how many of the foiled jihadist attacks had occurred since October 7.
In December, the Dutch counterterrorism agency increased the country’s threat alert to its second-highest level because of concerns about the Islamic State group’s Khorasan affiliates, Akerboom said. IS-K, a Central Asian affiliate, was responsible for the attack at a suburban Moscow concert hall that killed at least 133 people in March.
According to the new report, "global jihadism has been the greatest terrorist threat for years in the Netherlands." Incidents such as the one last April, when an anti-Islam activist tore pages from the Koran in front of the Dutch parliament building, put the Netherlands on the map of targets.
Activity during World War II
After Nazi Germany invaded the Netherlands in May 1940 Van Beek was among many Dutch the Germans tried to recruit. He avoided the recruitment and eventually joined the Dutch resistance.[2] Using forged identity papers he was able to help civilians and downed Allied pilots escape the Netherlands. Among those he helped escape was a P-51 pilot from Wisconsin, Lieutenant Howard Edward Moebius.[2][3][4][5] For his efforts he earned decorations from the governments of Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and the United States of America. In 1999 he was recognized as an Aid Giver by the Shoah Foundation[1] established by Steven Spielberg. "For his heroism and service to the United States of America during World War II" he was entered into the Congressional Record of July 24, 2012, by Idaho Congressman Raúl Labrador.[2]
Life after World War II
Van Beek emigrated to the United States in 1948 and in 1954 moved to Idaho with his wife Zwaantje, where they started a dairy farm. The farm went into foreclosure in 1984 and after years of legal proceedings with the Farmers Home Administration; they were evicted in 1994.[6][7] In 1995 he invented a hatchet used by firefighters and rescue workers.[8][9] He continued inventing tools including the "Trucker's Friend" which he exclusively licensed to Innovation Factory.[10][11] He died on November 14, 2015, in Boise, Idaho.[12]

He also met with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in the Pentagon where Sudani expressed "Iraq's interest in acquiring expertise, arms, and experience, emphasizing the importance of security partnership, especially given the current regional conditions that require stability and prevention of escalation," according to a statement from his office.
Yehia Rasool, spokesperson for Sudani, told Rudaw that the Iraqi delegation signed a nearly half a billion dollar deal to equip the Iraqi armed forces.
Rasool described Sudani’s trip as a "turning point in relations with the United States, within the Strategic Framework Agreement."
During his visit Sudani also met with American weapons and military equipment manufacturer General Dynamic, discussing "cooperation with the company as part of the government's efforts to rebuild Iraq's military capabilities, specifically in providing tanks and armored vehicles."

[Regnum] Czech counterintelligence prevented an assassination attempt on the elected President of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini, which was planned to be carried out by 24-year-old Ukrainian citizen V. Marunich, the STK news agency reported on April 23.
As the publication says, the attacker, who is described as a mentally unstable and nationalist-minded person, was detained in the city of Brno in the southeast of the republic when he took weapons from a cache.
My first au pair was a Brno girl. Lovely, bright — and such a brilliant ping pong player that the local club offered her anything she wanted to stay on and play for them when her year with the Wife family was up. She and her boyfriend did mixed doubles at a regional tournament in Germany for fun one weekend, and came third. She ended up doing post-doc computer research at a university in the Northwest, married to a statistics professor there. We’re very proud of her.
The agency clarifies that Marunich V. is a native of Vinnitsa and has been in the Czech Republic since 2021. In 2021, he was detained in Ukraine for distributing child pornography and fraud.
The attacker came to the attention of Czech counterintelligence in December last year, the agency notes.
As Regnum reported, the Al Khaleej newspaper previously wrote that the election of Peter Pellegrini as president of Slovakia was a “political blow” for the United States, the EU and Ukraine, since Russian President Vladimir Putin had a new ally in Europe.
According to the newspaper's author, Kyiv has lost another ally, which provided it with military support worth $750 million between 2022 and 2023. The material emphasizes that, despite the fact that presidential powers in Slovakia are limited, Pellegrini is now the commander-in-chief of the Slovak army and has the right of veto in parliament.
After his election, Pellegrini said that he would do everything to ensure that Slovakia was always “on the side of peace, not war.” He also said that he would not allow the Slovak military to be sent to Ukraine.
[ZERO] In a move aimed at Donald Trump, House Democrats have introduced a bill that would remove Secret Service protection for any former executive sentenced to prison for a federal or state felony.
How fortunate that the Republicans still have a slight majority in the House, and so retain control.
The bill comes from Democratic Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson, who, in a fitting Deep State overlap, is not only the former Jan. 6 committee chairman but also the ranking member of the Homeland Security committee. Introduced Friday, HR 8081 has 8 cosponsors so far -- all Democrats.
These days, nearly every bill comes with a goofy, forced acronym, and this one's no exception. Thompson has titled it the "Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable (DISGRACED) Former Protectees Act."
The measure seeks to address an admittedly huge conundrum that would arise in the event Trump gets jail time for any of the various politically-motivated prosecutions he's facing around the country: How would Secret Service agents operate inside a prison?
If Thompson's bill became law, they simply wouldn't. That would make possible Democrats' fever dreams of Prisoner Trump getting shivved in a prison shower, and negate their dread that a judge might choose to sentence Trump to house arrest out of mere practicality.
As Homeland Security committee Democrats wrote in a fact sheet describing the bill: There can only be one reason this action is being offered.
Whatever the source.
The LSD's know, in order not to swing, when Trump is re-elected. There is a need to have or set up another JFK situation.
But how about also adding "any NON-USA born elected person and/or those that came to power illegally and/or violated the US Constitutional Law while in power"?

Donald Trump is undergoing a criminal trial in Manhattan. He is charged with filing corporate records that included a false statement; namely, that payments to Michael Cohen that were described as being for legal services were, in fact, to reimburse Cohen for making one or more payments to Stormy Daniels in exchange for a non-disclosure agreement. But those payments to Daniels were perfectly legal, and filing a false corporate document is a misdemeanor on which the statute of limitation has passed.
So in order to charge Trump, District Attorney Alvin Bragg had to allege that the false documents were filed in order to cover up another crime. That would make it a felony. But what is that other crime? Bragg has been coy about it. In truth, there was no other crime, and Bragg’s prosecution is election interference on behalf of the Democratic Party, plain and simple.
Which means what, exactly? I suppose the translation is that Trump didn’t want voters to know about his fling with Daniels. But an “illegal conspiracy to undermine the integrity of a presidential election” does not define a crime. The “hush money” payment was legal, not illegal. And Trump’s desire that voters not know about his relationship with Daniels was no different from Biden’s desire, in the 2020 election, to prevent voters from learning that he was senile. Both candidates wanted to conceal something from voters, but neither candidate committed a felony to do it.

[FoxNews] Four Iranian nationals were indicted Tuesday for allegedly being part of a multi-year "malicious cyber ops" campaign targeting the U.S. State and Treasury departments, defense contractors and two companies in New York.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) unsealed the indictment in a Manhattan federal court, charging Hossein Harooni, Reza Kazemifar, Komeil Baradaran Salmani, and Alireza Shafie Nasab with computer fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud and other charges.
Along with the unsealing of the indictment against the four conspirators, the U.S. Department of State’s Rewards for Justice program (RFJ) announced it was offering up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of the group and the defendants, the DOJ said.
The Treasury Department also announced sanctions against the four conspirators and other cyber actors.
The indictment alleges that between at least 2016 through April 2021, Harooni, Kazemifar, Salmani, Nasab and others were part of a hacking organization accused of participating in a multi-year, coordinated campaign to conduct computer intrusions.
The hackers targeted over a dozen U.S. companies as well as the U.S. Treasury and U.S. State Department.
Kazemifar, Salmani and Nasab worked for Mahak Rayan Afraz, a company based in Iran that offered cybersecurity services, but the DOJ alleges the company was just a front for their operation.
Those targeted in the private sector were cleared by defense contractors with security clearance granted by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), allowing them to access, receive and store classified information to conduct activities in support of DoD programs.
The alleged hackers also targeted an accounting firm and a hospitality company, both located in New York.
While conducting the hacking campaigns, the conspirators tricked email recipients into clicking on links that turned out to be malicious and infected the computers with malware.
In one campaign, the group targeted one victim, which resulted in over 200,000 employee accounts becoming compromised.
The hackers conducted another campaign in which they targeted about 2,000 employee accounts, the DOJ said.
As the group continued with their attacks, the hackers were able to access an administrator's email account belonging to a defense contractor. The access allowed the conspirators to establish unauthorized accounts that were used to send hacking campaigns to employees of another defense contractor and a consulting firm.
The indictment noted that Kazemifar was responsible for testing the tools used in the campaigns. He also allegedly worked for the Iranian Organization for Electronic Warfare and Cyber Defense (EWCD), which is part of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The U.S. has designated the IRGC as a foreign terrorist organization.
Harooni, the indictment alleged, procured, administered and managed the group’s infrastructure – things like computer servers and software used to conduct the hacking operations.
He also allegedly used a real person’s passport to conceal his role in the campaign.
Salmani, like Kazemifar, tested the tools used to execute hacking campaigns, including that used against a hospitality company.
Nasab is accused of creating the infrastructure used in social engineering campaigns in which women were used to gain confidence from victims before deploying malware on their computers and devices.
All four conspirators were charged with conspiracy to commit computer fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud. They face up to five years in prison for computer fraud conspiracy and up to 20 years in prison for each count of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
The DOJ said Harooni was also charged with knowingly damaging a protected computer, which has a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if found guilty. The DOJ charged Harooni, Salmani and Nasab with aggravated identity theft, as well.
The US Department of Treasury on Tuesday slapped sanctions on two Iranian companies and four individuals for their alleged involvement in "malicious" cyber activity on behalf of Iran’s revolutionary guards.
"Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned two companies and four individuals involved in malicious cyber activity on behalf of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Cyber Electronic Command (IRGC-CEC)," read a statement from the Department.
"These actors targeted more than a dozen U.S. companies and government entities through cyber operations, including spear phishing and malware attacks. In conjunction with today’s action, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is unsealing an indictment against the four individuals for their roles in cyber activity targeting U.S. entities," it added.
Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian E. Nelson was cited in the statement as saying that "Iranian malicious cyber actors continue to target U.S. companies and government entities in a coordinated, multi-pronged campaign intended to destabilize our critical infrastructure and cause harm to our citizens."

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Belgian brewery worker had a drink-driving charge against him dismissed in court on Monday after doctors found he has a rare condition that causes his body to produce alcohol.
The 40-year-old suffers from auto-brewery syndrome (ABS), which causes carbohydrates in his stomach to be fermented, increasing ethanol levels in his blood and resulting in signs of intoxication.
His lawyer, Anse Ghesquiere, said it was an 'unfortunate coincidence' that her client works at a brewery, but three doctors who independently examined him confirmed he suffered from ABS.
The court recognised that factors unforeseen by law applied to the man's case and acquitted him of the charge.
Currently, only some 20 people globally have been officially diagnosed with the condition, but Ghesquiere said the number of cases is underestimated.
The brewer ended up in court after police in April 2022 pulled his vehicle over and registered him giving a breathalyser reading of 0.91 milligrammes of alcohol per litre, and again a month later when his breath contained 0.71 milligrammes.
The legal limit in Belgium is 0.22 milligrammes per litre of air exhaled, which corresponds to a blood alcohol level of 0.5 grammes per litre.
Previously, in 2019, the man had received a fine and a driving licence suspension despite protesting that he had not drunk any alcohol.
He was apparently unaware of his syndrome before his latest run-in with police.
Ghesquiere said she and her client were awaiting formal notification of the acquittal. She noted that the prosecution service had a month to lodge an appeal if it wished to do so.
The man meanwhile was following a carbohydrate-light diet to avoid his stomach producing more alcohol.
At his initial court appearance in March, the prosecutor requested he avoid any alcoholic beverages, the Belgian state television channel VRT reported.
Other ABS sufferers have undergone strange medical procedures to cure the condition.
In 2020, another Belgian man underwent tests after he felt sporadically drunk over a two-month window, even though he had not touched a drop of booze.
He was diagnosed by doctors at the University Hospital Ghent with ABS and was also prescribed a low-carb diet, but this did nothing to prevent his condition, leading doctors to attempt a drastic course of action.
They resorted to performing a faecal transplant, which sees a healthy faecal sample taken from a donor and implanted into the patient's gut. Faecal transplants are becoming increasingly common to replace ineffective or faulty bacteria in the body with microbes which work properly.
It is an established procedure which is also being investigated for its use in helping people infected with C. diff as well as cancer patients. This is done either directly into the colon, or through tubes that go up a person's nose, down the throat and then into the gastrointestinal tract.
Fecal transplants appear to be useful for all sorts of conditions, including restoring health to those with chronic fatigue syndrome. But the FDA decided a few years ago to insert itself into what was an off-label mechanical procedure, so in America it has effectively disappeared as a treatment option.
Other methods include freeze-drying the faecal sample into a pill-like object and having the patient swallow it.
My preferred method, versus drinkinga so-called chocolate milkshake ,a nasal tube, or an enema.
The man reported his symptoms disappeared shortly after the treatment, and a follow-up appointment 34 months after the procedure confirmed that symptoms had not resumed.

[Regnum] In the capital of Bulgaria, the dismantling of the monument to the Soviet army has resumed. Conservation work on the pedestal began on April 22, the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA) reported.
Workers began dismantling after the Supreme Administrative Court declared the decisions of the Administrative Court of the City of Sofia invalid due to lack of legal interest.
By order of the chief architect of Sofia, the facing slabs with inscriptions were removed from the monument.
The monument to the Soviet Army was erected in Sofia in 1954 as a sign of gratitude to the Soviet liberator soldiers. Since 1993, city authorities have repeatedly attempted to dismantle the monument.
As reported by IA Regnum, disputes about the dismantling and relocation of the monument to the Soviet Army have been going on for a long time, however, thanks to the resistance of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and its supporters, the dismantling work was constantly postponed. In March 2023, deputies of the Sofia City Council by a majority of votes supported the initiative of right-wing political associations to dismantle and move the pedestal.
On December 12, 2023, the dismantling of the monument to the Soviet Army in Sofia began. The governor of the Sofia region, Vyara Todeva, signed a decree on the demolition of the monument based on the latest inspection of its condition. Allegedly, as a result of an inspection, cracks and erosion were found on the monument, posing a danger to people. According to Todeva, after dismantling the bronze figures will be transferred to the ownership of the state. A week later, the court suspended the work at the request of the Revival party.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the destruction of monuments ignorance with bad consequences. The Russian leader recalled that in European countries, memorials to heroes of the Great Patriotic War and simply Russian and Soviet monuments, for example, monuments to Pushkin, are being demolished.

[REGNUM] On Saturday, the US House of Representatives finally voted to allocate new military aid to Ukraine. The long-awaited amount is impressive - $60.8 billion, and representatives of the Ukrainian Presidential Office hastened to thank the congressmen: after all, this “increases Ukraine’s chances of winning.” However, not by much, since most of the allocated money will be spent by the Americans themselves. Let’s be honest: for six months, the fuss around “aid to Ukraine” has nothing to do with either aid or Ukraine as such. It is simply an excuse to fight over whose side the American military-industrial complex will be on, from which the Democrats received benefits until the end of 2023.

The typical snakebite victim is someone who sees a snake in the backyard and tries to kill it, instead of just making a noise and driving it into the least liked neighbors place.

[SUDANTRIBUNE] In a significant development, Musa Hilal, a prominent tribal leader in North Darfur, has declared his support for the Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... ese army in its ongoing conflict with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Hilal, head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council and the chief of the Mahamid branch of the Rizeigat tribe (which includes many RSF leaders), becomes the first senior figure from the tribe to back the army since the fighting began in April 2023.
Previously, Hilal had been a vocal critic of the RSF, accusing its troops of widespread human rights ...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you... abuses against civilians in Darfur. He also condemned their use of alleged foreign mercenaries.
Hilal emphasized his commitment to the Sudanese state and its institutions when speaking to a crowd in Um Sunt, North Darfur. "We stand with the armed forces," he declared. The defence of our homeland requires full force. Many Darfuri tribes have urged me to prioritize state stability and peace."
Hilal strongly refuted the RSF’s claims that their actions aim to dismantle Sudan as established in 1956. He argued they misunderstood the significance of the 1956 state, which embodies the sacrifices of Sudanese patriots who fought for independence.
Hilal further vowed to combat the violence, rape, and looting perpetrated by RSF members in North Darfur. He called for unity and a stronger social fabric within the region.
Weeks after the outbreak of the war, Hilal travelled from Khartoum to Darfur. He toured several areas in North Darfur and urged an end to the fighting.
In November 2017, the RSF arrested Hilal and three of his sons. They faced a military court following a case filed by the paramilitary group. The charges against Hilal included undermining the constitution, inciting war against the state, and provoking tribal conflict. He was released in March 2021, two years after the fall of the Bashir regime.

[Garowe] The war against turbans in Somalia has taken an interesting twist after ISIS forces of Evil reportedly raided al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... bases in the northeastern part of the country, which could further change the dynamics in the ongoing operations across the country.
For the last 20 months, Somalia has invested in the fight against al-Shabaab, one of the terror groups with substantive bases across the nation, with the soldiers on the frontlines managing to secure several strategic towns.
Much focus has been on the fight against al-Shabaab, which has dominated central and southern regions of the country for the last two decades. The al-Shabaab is affiliated with al-Qaeda, a huge terror network in the Middle Eastern region.
According to sources, the ISIS forces of Evil launched an assault on al-Shabaab bases in Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... , claiming the lives of more than 50 members, including important commanders, according to a report published in the Al_Naba.
The Al_Naba closely monitors ISIS operations. The attack marks a new chapter in the ongoing conflict between the two terrorist groups in Somalia. The IS forces of Evil are concentrated in northern Somalia, within the Golis mountains of Puntland state.
For several years, the ISIS forces of Evil have been battling to topple al-Shabaab's influence in the country but the group is yet to make any meaningful progress, with al-shabaab pushing them further to the northern regions where they control a few areas including Bari areas of the country..
Interestingly, the fight between the two groups makes it easier for the country to eliminate bully boys, further restoring peace and tranquillity. The conflict has renewed hope for the security troops who have taken advantage to further crush the bully boys.
The government of Somalia has activated tangible measures on various frontlines as they establish a strong ground to control some of the strategic areas. The government estimates that by December 2023, most of these forces of Evil would have been eliminated from the country.
[GEO.TV] Israel bombarded northern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... overnight in some of the heaviest shelling in weeks, causing panic amongst residents and flattening neighbourhoods in an area from which the Israeli army had previously down its troops, residents said on Tuesday.
Army tanks made a new incursion east of Beit Hanoun on the northern edge of the Gaza Strip, though they did not penetrate far into the city, residents and Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... media said. Gunfire reached some schools where displaced residents were sheltering.
Shelling was intense east of Beit Hanoun and Jabalia and continued on Tuesday morning in areas such as Zeitoun, one of Gaza City's oldest suburbs, with residents reporting at least 10 strikes in a matter of seconds along the main road.
Just west of Beit Hanoun in Beit Lahiya, medics and Hamas media said strikes had hit a mosque and a crowd gathering on the coastal road to collect aid dropped from the air. Rooters could not immediately confirm those targets.
"It was one of those nights of horror that we had lived in at the start of the war. The bombing from tanks and planes didn't stop," said Um Mohammad, 53, a mother-of-six living 700 metres from Zeitoun.
IDF Arabic spokesman warns civilians to evacuate from fighting zones in Strip’s north as army launches missions in Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoun
The Israel Defense Forces intensified its operations against Hamas
...always the voice of sweet reason... Death Eaters in the central and northern Gazoo Strip on Tuesday, as the war reached its 200th day.
Israeli strikes intensified in what residents said was some of the heaviest shelling in weeks, particularly hitting the north from where the Israeli army had previously drawn down its troops.
Strikes by air and shelling from tanks on the ground were also reported in central and southern areas, in what residents said were almost non-stop bombardments.
The IDF said Tuesday that it had targeted Hamas rocket-launching positions in the southern Gaza Strip overnight. The military said the strike was carried out following new intelligence information that was received over the past few days, allowing the rocket launchers to be destroyed before they were used.
Separately, an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... was carried out against several terror operatives hiding near a civilian shelter in central Gaza’s Bureij, the military said.
Dozens more airstrikes were carried out across Gaza over the past day, targeting buildings used by terror groups, observation posts, rocket launch sites, and other infrastructure and operatives, according to the army.
Meanwhile, ...back at the dirigible, Cynthia backed into the galley, the barbecue fork held in front of her. Jack! she called. Where the hell are you?... in a post on social media platform X, Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, urged residents of four zones in northern Gaza’s Beit Lahiya to move to shelter in two designated areas near the town.
"You are in a dangerous combat zone," Adraee warned, adding that the IDF would operate against "terror infrastructure" and operatives in the area.
The operation in Beit Lahiya comes following recent rocket attacks from the area on Israeli border communities. Paleostinians said an air strike hit a mosque, killing a boy and injuring several others, while a medic was killed in shelling near the town stadium.
The IDF also said it launched a new pinpoint operation in northern Gaza’s Beit Hanoun just before Passover began Monday.
The raid was carried out by forces operating under the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade.
Amid the operation, Sgt. First Class (res.) Salm Alkreshat, a tracker in the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade, was killed. Alkreshat, 43, was from the Bedouin community of Abu Rabia. His death brings the toll of slain troops in the IDF’s ground offensive against Hamas to 261.
On Tuesday morning, four rockets were fired from northern Gaza at the southern city of Sderot, with the IDF reporting that all the projectiles were downed by the Iron Dome air defense system. The Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... terror group grabbed credit for the rocket attack on Sderot.
Several hours later, two more rockets were fired at the border community of Zikim. One of the rockets was intercepted, while the second failed to cross the border, the military said.
No injuries or damage were caused in the attacks.
The renewed shelling and bombing of northern Gaza comes almost four months after the Israeli army announced it was drawing down its troops there, saying it had dismantled Hamas’s "military framework" in the area.
Also on Tuesday, the Israeli army said troops in the Nahal Brigade launched a new pinpoint operation against Hamas in the central Gaza Strip corridor, which the military said was continuing during the Passover holiday.
The IDF said the "surprise operation" that began Sunday night was aimed at "deepening the achievements" in the Netzarim corridor. The corridor, built around a road south of Gaza City, enables the IDF to carry out raids in northern and central Gaza while allowing Israel to control access to the north for Paleostinians seeking to return after fleeing south.
"The forces are carrying out targeted raids and are thwarting terror in the area," the IDF said in a statement.
Nahal troops spotted several button men amid the raid, and called in airstrikes by fighter jets against them and the buildings they were spotted operating at, according to the IDF. It added that secondary explosions seen after the strikes indicated that the buildings were used to store munitions.
The fighting in the center and northern parts of the Strip continued amid Israel’s planned offensive in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah. A recent report by The Wall Street Journal said the IDF had begun readying to evacuate Paleostinian civilians from Rafah, where more than a million are sheltering.
Israel has said Rafah, where four of Hamas’s six intact battalions are deployed, remains one of the terror group’s last major strongholds in the Strip after the IDF operated across the north and in parts of the center and south of the enclave. It also believes that many of the remaining 129 hostages kidnapped on October 7 are being held in Rafah.
On Tuesday, a front man for the military wing of Hamas, Hudhaifa Kahlout — known by the nom de guerre Abu Obeida — called for an escalation across all fronts in a televised statement marking the 200 days of the war.
The war erupted when 3,000 Death Eaters poured across the border with Israel on October 7 in an unprecedented Hamas-led attack that resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapped 253.
The ensuing Israeli offensive has killed over 33,000 people, according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry. This figure cannot be independently verified and includes over 13,000 terror operatives Israel says it has killed since the beginning of the war.

Damn stright. Since no matter what IDF does, we get accused of genocide - no point of needlessly endangering Israeli lives.

The aid drop comes as satellite photos appear to show a new compound of tents being built near Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip as the Israeli military continues to signal it plans an offensive targeting the city of Rafah.
Israel has said it plans to evacuate civilians from Rafah during an anticipated offensive on the southern city, where hundreds of thousands of people have taken refuge during the war, now in its seventh month.
On Saturday, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a $26 billion aid package that includes around $9 billion in humanitarian assistance for Gaza, which experts say is on the brink of famine, as well as billions for Israel.
The war was sparked by the unprecedented Oct. 7 raid into southern Israel in which Hamas

[SUDANTRIBUNE] South Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
President Salva Kiir has raised an alarm over the war in Sudan, saying the country should not be allowed to split. I thought South Sudan was the first phase of Sudan's disintegration?
"Sudan is too important, a country, in the African context, that cannot be abandoned to be consumed by its internal conflict. It can not be allowed to disintegrate", said Kiir.
He made the remarks during a visit of his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa where they discussed the status of implementation of the September 2018 peace agreement.
South Africa, Uganda, and Sudan were guarantors of the deal. The African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
entrusted the five member countries with periodic review and evaluation of the status of the agreement. This committee, known as C5, comprises Algeria, Rwanda, Nigeria, Tanzania, and South Africa as the chair.
The South Sudanese leader explained that Sudan was a buffer zone of turmoil in Africa for it to be allowed to be consumed by its internal conflict.
He did not suggest what the continent should do.
"And as you know, Sudan is a buffer between the two zones of turmoil in Africa and if it is to be allowed to be consumed by its internal conflict, I think the whole of the heart of Africa and maybe the whole of Africa will be bleeding", he warned.
Kiir explained where the two zones exist and how internal conflicts have been negatively affecting regional peace and stability over past decades.
"The first zone, from these two zones extends from Libya to the Great Lakes region. This zone has been experiencing perennial conflicts emanating from legitimate political cases. Nobody can dismiss the genuineness of these conflicts in the region. For example, there is political opposition in Chad. It has its genuine political reasons for existence. There was a conflict in Darfur which we addressed with the signing of the 2020 Juba Peace Agreement but this agreement was affected by the eruption of the current conflict between the rapid support force and the Sudan armed forces. the implementation has now stalled and the signatories of the agreement are now divided in this fight. Some are with Sudan armed forces and others have taken a neutral position. there is another in Central Africa Republic," said Kiir.

Kiir has great difficulty simply in maintaining the integrity of the South Sudan. In fact it should be divided in three; the west Dinkaland; the east Nuerland, the south Equatoria.
Prediction: He’ll be discovered to be a mentally ill drug addict with a long history of arrests for impulsive, violent behaviour who was just recently returned to the streets, mere hours after his previous arrest.

A man has been arrested after a woman was brutally stabbed to death while using a train in Los Angeles. Elliot Nowden, a 45-year-old black male from L.A., has been charged with murder. Police believe others may have been victimized by Nowden. Read: https://t.co/zZUM2wC8mi
A homeless man has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing an elderly woman on the Los Angeles metro in what has been described as a random and unprovoked attack Monday morning.
Elliot Tramel Nowden, 45, was taken into custody shortly after the woman, whose identity has not yet been released, succumbed to her injuries in a nearby hospital.
According to KTLA, the incident took place around 5am onboard a southbound B Line train as it approached Universal City station. Nowden allegedly stabbed the woman numerous times in the neck with a pair of small kitchen knives.
When the train pulled up to the station, they both stepped onto the platform. As she was transported to hospital and bled to death, he expeditiously departed at a goodly pace.
Via footage obtained from security cameras at the station and descriptions of the suspect provided by witnesses, officers with the LA Police Department were able to track Nowden down in the area of Ventura Boulevard and Vineland Avenue half a mile away.
He was apprehended and charged with murder and is currently being held on $2 million bond.
"This does appear to be completely unprovoked from what witnesses have told detectives," LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar told KTLA. "There was no altercation prior to this violent mostly peaceful mostly peaceful attack."
There was also no evidence that Nowden and the woman knew each other.
The incident halted service on the B Line for hours as authorities conducted their investigation, however a bus bridge was set up to assist passengers. Since it was Earth Day, the entire transit system was free.
As KTLA reports, while many have felt as though they are less safe on the metro than before, statistics show that transit crime has gone down 10 percent since this time last year.
That happens when the DAs refuse to prosecute action they refuse to designate as crimes.
On the other hand, property theft crime as of late 2023 showed an increase of 42 percent over the two years prior in LA. Other property crimes such as motor theft as well as burglaries also spiked the time frame while violent mostly peaceful mostly peaceful crimes dipped at the same time.
How clever of them… in an utterly derivative way. But of course they were not chosen for their brains.

Since the Arab world does not seem to want them, perhaps the UK would be willing to accept the excess Paleos in Gaza and the West Bank.
On National People's Radio yesterday, they ran a number of human interest bits on how hard life was for Paleos in the West Bank - a snippet of a phone call in Arabic with a mayor who was stuck at a checkpoint and late for an interview with a journalist, the sad story of a 3-year-old child who caught a stray round riding in a van with his father near some festivities. Being of an inquisitive nature, I could not help but wonder what circumstances least to these events, but that subject never came up.
Not new information, but interesting because it’s a Pakistani news site that’s noticing these events in universities across America.

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... continued to reverberate through US university campuses.
The police crackdowns came after Columbia University canceled in-person classes on Monday in response to protesters setting up tent encampments at its New York City campus last week.
Demonstrators blocked traffic around Yale's campus in New Haven, Connecticut, demanding the school divest from military weapons manufacturers. Police arrested more than 45 protesters, according to the student-run Yale Daily News.
In New York, officers moved on the NYU crowd shortly after nightfall. Video on social media showed police taking down tents in the protesters' encampment. As demonstrators tussled with officers and chanted, "We will not stop, we will not rest. Disclose. Divest."
[AFRICANEWS] At hospitals and clinics across Port-au-Prince, life-saving medication and equipment is dwindling or altogether absent as brutal gangs tighten their grip on the capital and beyond. Do not disrupt the handiwork of Darwin.
The gangs have blocked roads, forced the closure of the main international airport in early March and paralyzed operations at the country’s largest seaport, where containers filled with key supplies remain stuck.
Haiti’s health system has long been fragile, but it’s now nearing total collapse.
The violence has forced several medical institutions and dialysis centers to temporarily close, including Haiti’s largest public hospital.
One of the few institutions still operating is Peace University Hospital, located south of the shuttered airport. From Feb. 29 to April 15, the hospital treated some 200 patients with gunshot wounds, and its beds remain full.
Even if a hospital is operating, sometimes the medical staff is absent because gang violence erupts daily in Port-au-Prince, forcing doctors and nurses to stay at home or turn around if they encounter blocked roads manned by heavily gunnies.
The spiraling chaos has left a growing number of patients with cancer, HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses with little to no recourse, with gangs also looting and setting fire to pharmacies in the capital’s downtown area.
At the Doctors Without Borders emergency hospital in Cite Soleil, doctors have been forced to cut its daily consultations from 150 to 50 despite the pressing need for medical care.
MSF itself has run out of many medications used to treat diabetes and high blood pressure, and asthma inhalers that help prevent deadly attacks are nowhere to be found in the capital.
Everyone is allowed to enter the MSF compound, but medical staff do a triage to determine which 50 people will be seen.
A baby suffering of malnutrition will not be treated at the hospital that is prioritizing trauma and gun shot wounds.
On Friday morning, 51-year-old Jean Marc Baptiste shuffled into the emergency room with a thick and bloody bandage on his right hand.
He said police in an armored vehicle shot him the previous day, adding that he didn’t have anything in his hand at the time except for a piece of wood he was collecting in an area controlled by gangs to sell as kindle.

[SUDANTRIBUNE] The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have launched a series of arrests targeting residents of Tuti Island, located in the center of Khartoum on the Nile River, multiple sources told Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. Tribune on Monday.
Local area community leaders have been detained for about two weeks now.
Residents interviewed by Sudan Tribune claimed in areas under RSF control, the paramilitary group is engaged in a campaign of intimidation and violence, including killings, property looting, and restrictions on food and medicine supplies.
These tactics are allegedly aimed at forcing residents to leave their homes.
"The RSF initially summoned island leaders, but the situation escalated into arrests," a statement from Tuti citizens received by Sudan Tribune on Sunday reads.
"Other leaders were taken from their homes," it added.
These developments follow a reported rape incident on Eid al-Fitr involving a young woman and an RSF member. A subsequent community meeting to condemn the act reportedly angered the RSF, who have maintained control of the area since the conflict began and imposed a siege that restricts movement.
In the one past year, however, residents have reportedly attempted to negotiate with the RSF to allow passage for medical emergencies and essential supplies.

[SUDANTRIBUNE] The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has rejected accusations from Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... that it has been financing the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group involved in a year-long conflict with the Sudanese army.
The denial comes after Sudan’s representative to the United Nations ...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society... , al-Harith Idris, called on the Security Council to condemn the UAE for allegedly supplying the RSF with weapons, vehicles and financial support.
In a letter to the Security Council, UAE Assistant Foreign Minister Lana Nusseibeh called the accusations "baseless" and an attempt to distract from the humanitarian crisis caused by the fighting.
The letter emphasized that the UAE does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and remains committed to a peaceful resolution.
However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... the UN Security Council has yet to rule on Sudan’s official complaint against the UAE, filed in March.
The complaint alleges UAE involvement in escalating the conflict and supplying military equipment through Chad.
Both sides in the Sudanese conflict have been criticized for prolonging the fighting, which has caused immense suffering and regional instability.
UAE has called for an immediate end to hostilities and a return to negotiations.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's gun out of his hand...... Sudan has rejected the UAE’s participation in the upcoming Jeddah forum, where the two warring parties are expected to resume peace talks.

[AFRICANEWS] Nigeria's consumer protection watchdog has ordered the closure of a Chinese-owned supermarket in Abuja following allegations of racial discrimination. The authorities claim the supermarket exclusively permits individuals of Chinese descent to enter, sparking outrage among Nigerian citizens. Ha! The thieves of the continent. Even the Chinese get it.
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) summoned the supermarket's owner for investigation following widespread social media outcry. Nigerians shared videos online recounting their experiences of being turned away by security personnel at the supermarket's entrance.
Former senator Shehu Sani joined the calls for closure, stating that any store inaccessible to Nigerian citizens should be either forcibly opened or dismantled.
In response, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria denied the racism allegations, emphasizing their commitment to equality and inclusiveness. However, if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning... the FCCPC remains firm, demanding compliance from the supermarket's owner, who has been summoned to appear before the agency. "No dogs or Nigerians?"
The controversy has shed light on the issue of discrimination and access to commercial spaces in Nigeria. With the closure of the supermarket pending the owner's response, the incident underscores the importance of ensuring equal treatment for all shoppers, regardless of their nationality or ethnicity.

[AFRICANEWS] Nigeria has said it is seeking up to 2.25 billion dollars in World Bank loans, in a statement by Finance Minister Wale Edun.
Speaking following the IMF/World Bank spring meetings in Washington D.C. at the weekend, Edun said the Nigerian government is also aiming to issue diaspora bonds later this year to attract foreign exchange into the country.
The World Bank loans would comprise 1.5 billion dollars in development policy financing and 750 million dollars in programme-for-results financing.
The bank's board is expected to meet in June to approve the request, Edun said.
Nigeria has faced a foreign exchange shortage that pushed its naira currency to record lows versus the US dollar this year, though it has since rebounded.
The country is also dealing with record debt, high unemployment and large central bank financing although the finance minister said recently the government had halved federal borrowing from the central bank.

— IOM - UN Migration News (@UNMigrationNews) April 23, 2024
At least 16 migrants colonists have died and 28 others are missing after a boat capsized off the coast of Djibouti, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said Tuesday.
"Tragedy as boat capsizes off Djibouti coast with 77 migrants colonists on board including children. At least 28 missing, 16 dead," the IOM said on X, formerly Twitter. The UN migration agency said it is assisting local authorities with search and rescue efforts.
The latest boat accident is one of many similar deadly calamities that have occurred along Djibouti's Red Sea coast area.
Earlier this month, the Æthiopian Embassy in Djibouti said at least 38 Æthiopian migrants colonists have died off the coast of Djibouti.
Data from the embassy show that more than 200,000 Æthiopian migrants colonists make risky land and sea journeys from the coast of Djibouti and the Gulf of Aden each year to reach destinations in the Middle East. It said at least 189 Æthiopian nationals have died off the coast of Djibouti in the past five years.
In most of these incidents, desperate East African migrants colonists attempted to cross the dangerous route, hoping to reach the Middle East via war-torn Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... . They mainly sought to reach Yemen's northern neighbor, Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... .
