California plans early release for 76,000 prison inmates -- including violent felons
[FoxNews] With little notice, California on Saturday is increasing early release credits for 76,000 inmates, including violent and repeat felons, as it further trims the population of what once was the nation’s largest state correctional system.

More than 63,000 inmates convicted of violent crimes will be eligible for good behavior credits that shorten their sentences by one-third instead of the one-fifth that had been in place since 2017.

That includes nearly 20,000 inmates who are serving life sentences with the possibility of parole.

More than 10,000 inmates convicted of a second serious but nonviolent offense under the state’s "three strikes" law will be eligible for release after serving half their sentences. That’s an increase from the current time-served credit of one-third of their sentence.

The same increased release time will apply to nearly 2,900 nonviolent third strikers, the corrections department projected.

Also as of Saturday, all minimum security inmates in work camps, including those in firefighting camps, will be eligible for the same month of earlier release for every month they spend in the camp, regardless of the severity of their crime.

The changes were approved this week by the state Office of Administrative Law, with little public notice. They were submitted and approved within a three-week span as emergency regulations.

Hunter Biden still owns stake in Chinese firm 100 days into father's presidency, documents show
[FoxNews] "No one in my family will have an office in the White House, will sit in on meetings as if they are a cabinet member, will, in fact, have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country," then-candidate Joe Biden said in October 2019.

But Chinese business records reviewed by Fox News show that Hunter Biden continues to hold a 10% stake in Chinese private equity firm Bohai Harvest RST Equity Investment Fund Management Co. through Hunter's company, Skaneateles LLC.

When asked for comment by Fox News, a White House official pointed to press secretary Jen Psaki's most recent comments on Hunter Biden's investments, which came in February.

"He has been working to unwind his investment, but I would certainly point you — he’s a private citizen," Psaki said at that time. "I would point you to him or his lawyers on the outside on any update."

The Daily Caller News Foundation first reported on the 100-day hiccup on Thursday, pointing out that BHR Partners is co-owned by the Bank of China, the state-controlled central bank.

Hunter would approve! Amtrak Joe unveils 'party' route from LA to Vegas and BILLIONS in [green?] train investment as he stands beside granddaughters Finnegan and Maisy who has him on her t-shirt
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • President Joe Biden is taking planes, automobiles - but not trains - to Philadelphia to mark Amtrak's 50th anniversary on Friday

  • Biden is making the trek to sell his American Jobs Plan infrastructure bill and his American Families Plan

  • He's also celebrating Amtrak because 'Amtrak Joe' is part of his political brand - the Delaware senator who commuted to D.C. daily

  • Biden had wanted to take Amtrak from Wilmington to Washington in the run-up to his inauguration but those plans got canned due to security concerns

  • On Friday, Biden will be introduced by a conductor who served the route he took when he was a frequent passenger

  • Also on display will be the latest Acela-type high speed train, which will go into service next year

  • As part of the American Jobs Plan, Biden wants to give Amtrak $80 billion for repair work, to improve the Northest Regional lines and expand service

Biden Mulls Vax Mandate For All US Military After Huge Numbers Refused
[ZERO] President Biden told NBC News in an interview which broadcast Friday that he's mulling ordering all US military personnel to get a COVID-19 vaccine as commander-in-chief. "I’m not saying I won’t" rule it out, he emphasized in the new interview.

This would also mean that anyone wanting to enter military service would have to receive the jab as a requirement to get in, which would likely cause a blow to military recruitment in the near-term. However, he didn't outright say he's ready to pull the trigger on the policy, which if enacted would constitute the largest federal government-ordered mandate in terms of forcing the vaccine on some 1.3 million active duty service members, not to mention over one million more reserve personnel.

De Blasio strikes back at Cuomo, says 'everyone's just admitting they covered up'
[NYPOST] Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio
...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him...
fired the latest round in his war of words with Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo on Friday, telling CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who knows what it might stand for...
that the slew of probes into the governor’s behavior and scandals are increasingly unnecessary as "everyone’s just admitting they covered up."

The three-term governor currently faces a half-dozen investigations into charges his administration misled the public and federal regulators about coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
-related deaths in nursing homes, allegations the governor’s staff hid the nursing home figures as Cuomo wrote his book about managing the state through the pandemic, misusing state resources and staff in writing the book and complaints from current and former staffers about sexual harassment.

"It’s almost to the point where we don’t even need the full formal investigation, because everyone’s just admitting that they covered up," said de Blasio, about the slew of charges of misconduct facing Cuomo, which prompted Democrats in the Assembly to even launch an impeachment investigation.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem sues Biden admin over Mount Rushmore fireworks
[NYPOST] South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem sued the Biden administration on Friday for canceling a planned July 4 fireworks display at Mount Rushmore.

The Republican governor is asking a judge to order that a permit be granted "expeditiously" so the Independence Day celebration can be held at the iconic national monument, Fox News first reported.

"Mount Rushmore is the very best place to celebrate America’s birthday and all that makes our country special," the federal court filing says.

"After telling us they’d ’circle back,’ the Biden Administration has not responded to our request to uphold the Memorandum Agreement between the State of South Dakota and the National Parks Service to host a safe and responsible national celebration and fireworks show."

'Disgusting' robocall accuses Texas candidate Wright of causing husband's death
Politics is not an occupation for gentlepersons. If you can’t hit back harder, make way for someone who will.
[POLITICO] Texas Republican congressional candidate Susan Wright is seeking help from federal law enforcement the day before her special election, after supporters reported receiving robocalls that accused her of being responsible for the death of her late husband.

Wright’s campaign reached out to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice on Friday after discovering robocalls baselessly alleging that she had "murdered" her husband, the late GOP Rep. Ron Wright. Wright is running in the special election to succeed Wright, who passed away in February after being diagnosed with coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
Wright aides say they found out about the robocalls on Friday morning, a day before Saturday's crowded all-party primary.

"This is illegal, immoral, and wrong. There’s not a sewer too deep that some politicians won’t plumb," Wright said in a statement.

A female voice begins the minute-long robocall by saying that Wright "murdered her husband," and that "she’s now running for Congress to cover it up." The robocalls do not have a "paid-for" attribution saying who is paying for the attacks.

The robocall then claims that "according to confidential sources," Wright "obtained a $1 million life insurance policy on the life of her husband...six months before his death." It then says that Wright "tearfully confided in a nurse that she had purposely contracted the coronavirus."

It adds that the hospital "has made a formal criminal referral to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and they have now opened a formal criminal inquiry into the matter," before concluding: "It is clear that the voters of Texas’ 6th Congressional District deserve to know the truth about Susan Wright and her involvement in the death of her husband."

Recipients of the calls say they are being made from a blocked number. In addition to reaching out to the FBI and the Department of Justice, the Wright campaign has been in touch with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department.

"When we heard reports of this criminal smear of a voicemail attacking Susan, we immediately referred the matter to law enforcement and started cooperating with authorities," Matt Langston, a Wright campaign consultant, said in a statement. "Susan's opponents are desperate and resorting to disgusting gutter politics because they know she's the frontrunner.

Wright has received the endorsement of former President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
, who appeared with her on a conference call earlier this week held by the anti-tax Club for Growth, which is also supporting her. She is running in a Republican field that includes businessman Michael Wood, former Trump administration official Brian Harrison, and retired pro wrestler Dan Rodimer.

The race has been a relatively tame affair until now. The candidates have taken few direct shots at one another in their television ads, though the Club for Growth has been attacking GOP candidate Jake Ellzey, casting him as an anti-Trump Republican because he received a donation from Trump critic Bill Kristol.

Ellzey said he was shocked to hear about the robocall while on the campaign trail with former Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

"This is horrible," Ellzey said. "It's unbelievable that anybody would stoop so low.”

Biden DOJ Nominee Conceals Ties To Anti-Semitic Professor
[FREEBEACON] Archived copies of a scholarly journal show Justice Department nominee Kristen Clarke listed on the masthead alongside an anti-Semitic writer with whom she claimed under oath she has never collaborated.

The revelation could prompt charges that she gave inaccurate answers to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Clarke told politicians that she has never worked with Amiri Baraka, the Marxist and anti-Semitic black nationalist who accused Israel of having advanced knowledge of 9/11 in a 2002 poem. Both Clarke and Baraka are listed as editors of the journal Souls at least eight times over two years.

While Clarke's denial may not technically amount to perjury, less-than-candid responses have proved fatal for other nominees of both parties. Ryan Bounds, a Trump judicial nominee, withdrew from consideration for a vacancy on the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals after Democrats charged that he tried to conceal bombastic writings from his college years. Goodwin Liu, an Obama nominee for the same court, withdrew after he failed to disclose dozens of speeches and articles.

Alien and Sedition Acts V2.0
[Bloomie via CFP] Domestic Terrorism Law Being Weighed by Justice Department

’CANCER’ ON U.S.
Currently, no U.S. law lets the government designate domestic extremists as terrorists or bring specific charges for domestic terrorism. That contrasts with laws to combat international terrorism, which allow the government to designate groups and bring charges for providing those groups with material support.

It’s a gap that some law enforcement and intelligence officials say should be closed.

"This is a cancer on our country," said Democratic Representative Matt Cartwright of Pennsylvania, chairman of the subcommittee. "Right-wing extremist attacks and plots have greatly outnumbered those from all other groups combined and caused more deaths as well."
