-Short Attention Span Theater-
Costco has spent $1 BILLION building enormous Nebraska poultry farm and slaughterhouse to keep up with demand for its famed $4.99 rotisserie chicken - with plant processing 2 million birds a week
Wonder if they have AI autopluckers?
They are good chickens, larger, tastier, and cheaper than the roasted chickens sold by my local grocery store.
[Daily Mail, where America gts its news]
  • Costco has spent an estimated $1 billion on a state-of-the-art chicken processing plant in Fremont, Nebraska, to keep their $4.99 rotisserie stocks supplied

  • The plant processes two million chickens a week, coming from its own network of chicken farmers: it is the only retailer to have such an operation

  • The 500 chicken houses on the site each contain 42,000 chickens, built at a cost of $625,000

Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Marks Last 'School' Strike As She Graduates
The question was asked the other day. Herewith the answer:
[OneIndia] Swedish environmental activist Greta "Pippi" Thunberg
...an autistic sixteen year old Swedish expert on climate change...
said on Friday she will no longer be able to skip classes as a way to draw attention to climate change because she is graduating from high school.

Thunberg, 20, started staging Friday protests outside the Swedish parliament building during school hours in 2018. Teenagers from around the world followed her lead, leading to an international student movement called Fridays for Future.

Because she won't be a student anymore, Thunberg noted that her future Friday activities that "technically" won't be school striking. But in a tweet, she vowed to continue protesting, saying, "The fight has only just begun." "We are still moving in the wrong direction, where those in power are allowed to sacrifice," Thunberg wrote on Twitter.

"We're rapidly approaching potential nonlinear ecological and climatic tipping points beyond our control." As a teenager Thunberg was invited to speak to political and business leaders at UN conferences and the annual World Economic Forum in Davos. She also was named Time magazine's youngest Person of the Year in 2019 and received several nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize.

For her final school strike outside parliament, Thunberg posed with a Swedish-language sign while wearing the cap that high school graduates typically wear in Sweden.

American singer-songwriter and poet Patti Smith, who was in Stockholm for a concert on Friday as part of a world tour, showed up at the demonstration and told Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter she got tears in her eyes when meeting Thunberg.

''This is Greta Thunberg, faithfully taking her Friday School Strike for Climate Action. She graduates today, and we extend our gratitude and congratulations,'' Smith wrote on Instagram.

Thunberg has urged the media to focus on other young activists. Fridays for Future participants planned to protest outside UN climate talks in Bonn, Germany, on Friday to urge governments to do more to curb global warming.

Trump lawyers quit classified documents case
[Shafaq News] Two lawyers who represented Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election...
in the months before the former president was indicted on federal charges over his handling of classified documents quit working for him Friday morning.

The attorneys, Jim Trusty
...the former federal prosecutor is also a Fox News legal analyst, so one can see how he became too busy for this case...
and John Rowley, did not explain in detail why they had resigned, other than to say in a joint statement that "this is a logical moment" to do so given his indictment Thursday in U.S. District Court in Miami.

Trusty and Rowley also said they will no longer represent Trump in a pending federal criminal probe into his efforts to overturn his loss in the 2020 election to President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. S I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass....
Trusty had made multiple appearances on television news shows Thursday evening and Friday morning to discuss the indictment of Trump in his capacity as his lawyer.

Trump first announced the two lawyers were leaving his cases in a post on his Truth Social platform. He said he would now be represented by Todd Blanche, a New York lawyer who is representing him in another criminal case in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Trump is charged there in a state grand jury indictment with falsifying business records related to a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 presidential election.

He has pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
in that case.

"We will be announcing additional lawyers in the coming days," wrote Trump, who is due to appear Tuesday in Miami court on the indictment charging him with several crimes.

Blanche did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.

Trump is charged over his retention of hundreds of classified government documents at his residence at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, after he left the White House, as well as with obstruction for his failure to return those records in the face of demands from U.S. officials.

In a joint statement, Trusty and Rowley wrote: "This morning we tendered our resignations as counsel to President Trump, and we will no longer represent him on either the indicted case or the January 6 investigation."

"It has been an honor to have spent the last year defending him, and we know he will be vindicated in his battle against the Biden Administration’s partisan weaponization of the American justice system," the attorneys said.

"Now that the case has been filed in Miami, this is a logical moment for us to step aside and let others carry the cases through to completion," they wrote. "We have no plans to hold media appearances that address our withdrawals or any other confidential communications we’ve had with the President or his legal team.

#5  "Strategic Lawfare at Work, They Didn’t Resign – Jack Smith Takes Down Two Trump Lawyers Using Compelled Testimony, Creating Witnesses Within Indictment

"The granular news. You might have heard that two of Trump’s lawyers, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, quit today. The media wants to use their exit as a point to indicate Trump is in legal jeopardy; however, that’s not the case.

As soon as Trusty and Rowley saw their forced testimony was used in the indictment, they had no option except to exit the case. Despite the lawyers providing no damaging information against Trump, the DOJ used language in the indictment to turn Trump’s lawyers into material witnesses. Weissmann’s Lawfare tactic create a conflict, forcing the two Trump lawyers to depart."

13K Chinese Migrants Apprehended on U.S.-Mexico Border Since October-1,000 percent increase when compared to the previous year's totals. Most appear to be military age males...
[Breitbart] Since the beginning of Fiscal Year 23 on October 1, 2022, Border Patrol agents along the U.S.-Mexico border apprehended nearly 13,000 Chinese migrants. The number represents a more than 1,000 percent increase in migrants from the communist regime when compared to the previous year’s totals.

Nearly 13,000 migrants from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) have been apprehended along the U.S. Southwest border with Mexico this fiscal year, according to a CBP source not authorized to speak to the media. Approximately 84 percent of the migrants from the PRC are single adults. After processing by the Border Patrol, most are released to pursue asylum claims in the United States.

The source says the agency is baffled by the increase as intelligence debriefings yield little information about the migrants and their purpose for entering. The language barrier is proving to be a challenge according to the source.

“Having to use third-party translation services, Border Patrol agents and intelligence officers who are already struggling to cope with thousands of migrant apprehensions daily, are getting limited intelligence information from the migrants,” the source told Breitbart Texas.

Breitbart Texas also spoke with Dr. Kenneth Allard, a retired Army Colonel and former Dean of Students at the National War College. As an author of several works including Warheads: Cable News and the Fog of War, a former intelligence officer, and special assistant to the Army Chief of Staff, Allard is also concerned with the lack of intelligence regarding the spike in migrant apprehension of citizens from the People’s Republic of China.

Allard says the fact may be that most of the migrants from the PRC are in fact dissidents fleeing poor conditions in China. But as an expert on totalitarian regimes, he believes the current administration lacks the willpower to properly investigate the phenomenon.

“Totalitarian governments like China are great exploiters of opportunity,” Dr. Allard told Breitbart. “They recognize weakness and capitalize on it immediately. What we are seeing reflects a deliberate policy choice by the regime.”

When asked about the potential for China to take advantage of the current crisis along the southern border, Allard says the regime most certainly recognizes the weakness President Biden has exhibited on the international stage, adding “its obvious he is not entirely in control at present, China realizes that as well.”

What little information that is retrieved from the migrants would indicate most are fleeing the repressive regime due to the aftereffects of the extreme COVID-19 lockdowns imposed by Xi Jinping’s government. Another reason cited by the migrants is the negative economic effects of China’s strict COVID-19 policies regarding the exportation and importation of goods.

Lacking definitive answers, some have speculated the opening of China’s ports after the COVID-19 lockdowns ended is a predominant factor in the exodus of Chinese nationals. An analysis of the timeline of significant world events, however, does not altogether align with the theory. It may be true that most of the migrants who form part of the increased number arriving at the border are in fact dissidents who are weary of the Chinese system of government, the PRC’s dismal record on human rights, or the harsh controls on the use of the internet and social media inside the regime, but with worsening relations between the United States and the government of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the exponential increase in arriving migrants from China should not be ignored.

China opened its ports and loosened travel restrictions for tourists in January 2023 after a three-year closure. That move was more than eight months after the first notable doubling of Chinese migrant arrivals along the southwest border. In April 2022, migrant apprehensions for nationals of the People’s Republic of China rose by nearly 100% from 74 apprehensions in March to 146. The number has continued to double almost every three months until reaching more than 1,000 apprehensions at the time of the re-opening of Chinese ports in January.

Despite the re-opening of its ports, China, through the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, still exerts strict exit and entry controls that apply to all travelers including its own citizens.

When further analyzing the timeline of significant events in relation to the notable increase in migrant flow from the PRC to the United States, several newsworthy occurrences were closer to the start of the increase than China’s border opening.

In February 2022, the Department of Justice announced the abandonment of the Trump-era China Initiative. Developed as a counter to Chinese national security threats, FBI Director Christopher Wray issued the following statement concerning the implementation of the initiative, “No country presents a broader, more severe threat to our ideas, our innovation, and our economic security than China.”

The agreement faced criticism of anti-Asian bias and, when announcing the departure from the initiative, Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen of the DOJ’s National Security Division stated:

To be clear, we are focused on the actions of the PRC government, the Chinese Communist Party, and their agents — not the Chinese people or those of Chinese descent. As we talk about the threats that the PRC government poses to the United States, we must never lose sight of that fundamental distinction. We must always be vigilant to ensure that no one is treated differently based on race, ethnicity, familial ties, or national origin. This is a foundational commitment of the Department of Justice.

In the announcement, Olsen pledged to maintain a vigilant watch over actions carried out on behalf of the PRC that could negatively impact national security. Within two months, the initial doubling of migrant apprehensions from the PRC appeared at the southwest border.

In August 2022, a visit to Taiwan by then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sparked outrage and swift condemnation from Beijing. The visit was viewed as an escalation towards China due to Pelosi’s high rank within the US Government. Soon afterward, China announced it would halt cooperation with the United States regarding anti-narcotics, climate change, and a host of other issues. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a chilling warning in response to the visit stating, “These moves, like playing with fire, are extremely dangerous. Those who play with fire will perish by it.”

Within a month of the visit, migrant apprehensions along the southwest border had risen by nearly 432% from 74 apprehensions in the March 2022 baseline to 392 in September.

By January 2023, when China opened its ports of entry after three years of COVID-19 closure, the Border Patrol’s migrant apprehensions of Chinese nationals had risen to 1,076 — an increase of more than 1,300 percent over the baseline of 74 in March 2022.

The January apprehension numbers would soon double once again, coinciding with the Chinese Spy Balloon incident that occurred in late January and concluded on February 4, 2023, when the Pentagon destroyed the craft over water off the coast of South Carolina. Again, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quick to condemn the United States for its actions regarding the incident.

“China strongly disapproves of and protests the US attack on a civilian unmanned airship by force,” officials stated. “The Chinese side has, after verification, repeatedly informed the (U.S.) side of the civilian nature of the airship and conveyed that its entry into the (U.S.) due to force majeure was totally unexpected.”

One news report alleges the balloon was able to gather sensitive military intelligence as it traversed the country. The report cited three unnamed U.S. government officials who alleged the balloon was able to fly controlled patterns as it gathered electronic signals.

By March, less than 60 days after the incident, a spike in migrant arrivals from the PRC occurred jumping from 1,076 in January to 2,265 — an increase of more than 100 percent.

By April, an additional increase of 41 percent in PRC migrant apprehensions along the Southwest border brought the total monthly apprehensions to 3,195, according to Customs and Border Protection reports.

The travel route for most Chinese migrants is costly and arduous, according to the CBP source. The journey to the United States in most cases involves traveling from Hong Kong to Turkey and on to Ecuador. Ecuador is a common point along the route as Chinese nationals are not required to possess a visa to enter the Latin American country.

The migrants, according to the source, move through Panama’s Darien Gap before traversing through Central America, into Mexico, and on to the United States’ southern border. As reported by Breitbart Texas, the smuggling fees have been revealed to be as high as $55,000 to reach the U.S./Mexico Border from the People’s Republic of China.

Mayo Clinic censors and suspends doctor for refusing to adhere to ‘prescribed messaging' regarding COVID, trans athletes
[BLAZE] The Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science censored and briefly suspended an anesthesiology professor who refused to adhere to the clinic’s "prescribed messaging" regarding COVID and transgender athletes, the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression reported.

A letter from the Mayo Clinic obtained by FIRE revealed that MCCMS retaliated against Dr. Michael Joyner after he publicly shared his professional medical opinions about COVID treatments and the physiological advantages of male athletes.

In June 2022, Joyner told the New York Times that testosterone allows male athletes to outperform females.

"There are social aspects to sport, but physiology and biology underpin it," Joyner told the Times. "Testosterone is the 800-pound gorilla."

Joyner was forced to meet with Mayo Clinic’s Personnel Executive Committee members to discuss his comments to the Times. Members expressed their concerns regarding what they described as his use of "inflammatory" language.

Despite being scolded by the Mayo Clinic for his comments, Joyner participated in an interview with CNN in January, during which he slammed the National Institutes of Health’s handling of COVID.

Disturbing video shows Colorado cop PUNCH handcuffed woman in the face after she spat on him
[DM] Seems a very reasoned response.
  • Russell Maranto, 28, a Loveland, Colorado police officer has been fired after being captured on bodycam punching a handcuffed woman directly in the face

  • Maranto punched Angelia Hall, 59, after she spat at him while she was being held in a hospital ER while sitting in an examination room emergency room

  • Loveland Police Chief Tim Doran said he was committed to transparency and holding both his team and citizens accountable for their actions

In the footage, Hall can be heard becoming increasingly frustrated and angry as she sits in an examination chair while cursing and yelling at the officers and nurses who were present.

But it was when she spat at Maranto that he immediately reacted by punching her.

Another officer in the room intervened and pulled Maranto away from Hall.

Officers had initially responded to reports of Hall wandering in and out of traffic, displaying confused and incoherent behavior. Officers had placed her under protective custody and taken her to a local hospital to be evaluated.
So drunk, drugs, mentally ill, or seriously exhausted. The question becomes: when and why did they cuff her, and what had they already tried to get her to calm down?
Hall has been charged with third-degree assault for her actions towards the fired officer.

#21  My understanding is in the reverse, Frank G: a Mexican who made his money on a Mexican clothing brand expanded into American malls, then retired to the good life in a condo in California... but has recently moved back home for some reason. But whether he is bipolar, schizophrenic, or a group identity, I couldn’t say — and regardless, he completely misunderstands both the American character and the country’s history.

The rise of conservative brands
[ZH] Multiple brands touting conservative values have been launching and gaining market share amid the current economic climate where an increasing number of consumers are reacting harshly to—even boycotting—companies promoting progressive ideologies, especially transgenderism.

NBA player Jonathan Isaac, for example, announced the launch of his UNITUS apparel brand in a tweet on June 2. Pitched as an "alternative" to retail brands that are going woke, UNITUS is scheduled to launch in August. "UNITUS is a sports and apparel company, and the basis of it for me is freedom. You have companies that are in that field who have made a conscious decision to either attack or undermine Christian values, conservative values, and things like that," Isaac told Prager U’s Amala Ekpunobi for the documentary "Unwoke Inc."

"And I think they have the free choice to do so, as much as I disagree. But I feel that we also have the freedom to create what we want to create," the NBA star sadi to make his position clear.

Isaac said that the UNITUS brand is aimed at giving parents who want to buy their kids sneakers and clothes the option to give their money to a company that "they know is going to work toward bolstering their values."

"We can be proud of what we believe in. We don’t have to hide or be ashamed of it ... As the day continues to get darker and darker and crazier and crazier, you standing up for what you believe in is only going to get harder. But it’s only going to become more and more necessary," Isaac said.

CONSERVATIVE BEER
A business looking to capitalize on conservative anger against woke companies is beer brand "Ultra Right." The brand was launched in the aftermath of the controversy surrounding Bud Light hiring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for a promotion campaign.

Ultra Right began selling its beer around mid-April, and was on its way to exceeding $1 million in sales in just 12 days, according to an April 26 report by Fox News. By that time, the business had garnered more than 10,000 customers.

In an April 25 video posted to Twitter, Ultra Right CEO Seth Weathers said that "we’re a movement of people that are speaking up and saying no to the woke nonsense. Ultra Right beer and this movement will never be stopped, no matter what they throw at us."

Back in April, Anheuser-Busch, the company which owns Bud Light, sent beer cans to Mulvaney featuring the trans-activist’s face—a move criticized as pushing transgenderism. People began boycotting the beer brand and sales numbers subsequently crashed.

Between April 3 and May 30, the market capitalization of Anheuser-Busch fell from $132.06 billion to $108.19 billion—a decrease of over 18 percent.

Gayane Hakobyan sentenced to probation
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A court in Yerevan sentenced Gayane Hakobyan to three years and 11 months probation in the case of an attempted kidnapping of the son of the Prime Minister of Armenia. Hakobyan was released in the courtroom.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Gayane Hakobyan's three lawyers decided to terminate her defense, saying that  Nikol Pashinyan  gave direct instructions to the law enforcement and judicial systems to issue a guilty verdict, and the authorities are putting pressure on the investigation and the court.

On May 31, the case went to court. On June 5, the Court of Appeal transferred Hakobyan under house arrest, but on the same day, the court, at the request of the state prosecutor,  returned her to custody. On June 9, the court held a session behind closed doors, which came as a surprise to the defense.

Gayane Hakobyan, the mother of a soldier killed in the 2020 Karabakh war, has been charged with attempting to kidnap Ashot Pashinyan, Nikol Pashinyan's son. According to the parents of the dead soldiers, the activists met Ashot Pashinyan on the street and offered him to go with them to the Yerablur military cemetery, he got into the car, but then jumped out of it while driving and ran away.

The Yerevan Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction sentenced Gayane Hakobyan in the case of attempted kidnapping of the son of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Ashot to 3 years 11 months suspended. The court released Gayane in the courtroom, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told in the NGO "Call of Sons", where Hakobyan is a member.

Ashot Pashinyan told reporters that the meeting was held behind closed doors at the request of Gayane Hakobyan.

Recall that according to the version of the investigation, which  was announced by On May 17, at the Court of Appeal, the parents of the dead servicemen approached the son of the Prime Minister and began to "shout out lines." A woman who introduced herself as the mother of the deceased soldier suggested that he get into a car parked nearby to talk, and when they got into the car, she started the car, explaining that she wanted to drive away.

Ashot Pashinyan himself said that they tried to kidnap him. According to him, he agreed to the woman’s offer to talk in the car, she began to talk about the 2020 war and the losses, and then began to behave inappropriately and violate traffic rules. In response to the demand to stop the car, the woman stated that her son had been killed, she had nothing to lose, so she could even kill Pashinyan, that she would take him to the military cemetery, and then decide whether to let him go.

At the intersection, when the driver slowed down, Ashot jumped out of the car. A few seconds later, when he got up, he was hit by a white Toyota: according to Ashot, in this car he noticed the parents of the dead servicemen who were standing in the courtyard of the Court of Appeal.

'Dollarization' of North Korean economy, once vital, now potential threat to Kim's rule
[An Nahar] Before fleeing North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
in 2014, Jeon Jae-hyun kept U.S. dollars as a store of value and used Chinese yuan to make everyday purchases at markets, restaurants and other places. He used the domestic currency, the won, only occasionally.

"There were not many places to use the won, and we actually had little faith in our currency," Jeon said during a recent interview in Seoul. "Even the quality of North Korean bills was awful as they often ripped when we put them in our pockets."

Grave containing 450 'VAMPIRES' is discovered during roadworks in Poland: Burial site is filled with decapitated skeletons with skulls placed between their legs
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A mass grave continuing over 400 suspected vampires has been uncovered during roadworks in .

The grim discovery in the village of Luzino in the northeast of the country found that some of the 450 skeletons had been beheaded and their skulls placed between their legs and a coin placed in their mouths.

The practice which was common in the region during the 19th century was believed to remove the ‘vampire curse’.

Archaeologist Maciej Stromski said: ‘We discovered examples of belief in the dead returning from the grave, which could only be stopped by decapitation.

‘It was believed that if a member of the deceased's family died shortly after the funeral, then he or she could be a vampire.
