Afghanistan
Democracy in Afghanistan: Why the 2019 presidential election turnout was low
[KhaamaPress] Following the ouster of the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
regime in late 2001, Afghanistan has seen gradually declining turnout since the country first held national elections in 2004. In the first election after the overthrow of the Taliban from power, turnout was about 70 percent.

The fourth-ever presidential elections in Afghanistan’s history were held on 28 September 2019. Afghanistan’s election commission has announced that about 1.7 million Afghans cast their ballots at 85% of polling stations across the country, and it is estimated that ballots from the remaining 3,900 stations will increase the turnout to 1.9 million. Those numbers may decrease as the vetting process gets underway to discard fraudulent ballots and duplicate voter biometric data. The low turnout was confirmed by election observers and most other sources reporting from around the country.

Turkey: 17 hurt in explosions at ammunition depot
Purge your top 10%, and things like this happen with increasing, messy regularity. The ignorant refer to it as bad luck.
[AlAhram] Ottoman Turkish officials say two explosions at an ammunition depot in southeast The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
have injured 16 military personnel and one civilian.

Gov. Abdullah Erin of Sanliurfa province has told news hounds that the earth-shattering kabooms occurred late Wednesday at the command of a mechanized brigade in the province, which borders Syria.

He says the first explosion triggered the second. A fire that ensued was quickly brought under control.

The governor says a civilian who was on the balcony of his home near the site of the blast was among the injured. One of the injured military personnel was at death's door, he said.

Erin says the cause of the earth-shattering kabooms is under investigation, adding that authorities believe a "technical" fault may have triggered them.

Turkey deports American IS suspect stuck at Greek border
[IsraelTimes] Ankara says US agreed to take in alleged jihadist, give him travel documents; repatriation comes after Erdogan’s visit to the White House.

An American man suspected of being a member of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
bad boy group is being repatriated to the United States after spending three days in a no man’s land between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
and Greece, Turkey’s Interior Ministry said Thursday.

The United States agreed to take him in and will provide him with travel documents, the ministry said, adding that the repatriation was underway.

The move comes a day after Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
met with US President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
in Washington.

The man was stuck in the heavily militarized border zone after Turkey tried to expel him to Greece on Monday but Athens refused him entry. Ottoman Turkish media have identified him as 39-year-old Mohammad Darwis B. and said he was an American citizen of Jordanian background.

The ministry said Thursday the man had asked to be deported to a "third country" and chose Greece.

He had been spotted in the no man’s land for three straight days. Media reports said Ottoman Turkish authorities allowed him to spend the night in a vehicle, where he was fed.

Turkey has engaged in a new push to deport foreign IS members who are held in Ottoman Turkish prisons or in Syria, since it invaded parts of northeast Syria to drive away Syrian Kurdish fighters it considers to be Lions of Islam from a border area.

Turkey’s Interior Ministry on Thursday expelled seven German and one British IS suspects to Berlin and London. The state-run Anadolu Agency said two men, four women and an infant were transported onto the tarmac at Istanbul Airport in a vehicle belonging to Turkey’s migration agency and boarded a plane bound for Berlin.

There was no information on their identities.

Three foreign IS suspects ‐ from the United States, Denmark and Germany ‐ were deported on Monday.

Turkey also plans to soon deport other alleged IS members, including two Irish and 11 French citizens.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth had turned a paler shade of blue. Star-A-Star had struck again...
the Interior Ministry also said Thursday that a wanted IS suspect was detained by anti-terrorism police in a raid in Istanbul after he illegally crossed into Turkey from Syria. The ministry said the man, whom it identified as Mevlut Cuskun, was being questioned by police.
An Nahar adds:
Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said last week that Turkey had nearly 1,200 foreign members of IS in custody, and had captured 287 during the offensive in Syria.

The Hurriyet newspaper said Wednesday that 959 suspects were being prepared for deportation, with the largest numbers coming from Iraq, Syria and Russia.

The Turkish interior ministry earlier Thursday said seven Germans and one Briton would be deported to Berlin and London respectively.

The Metropolitan Police in London said later on Thursday a man was arrested on terrorism offences after arriving at Heathrow airport on an inbound flight to the UK from Turkey.

"He was arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts," the police said in a statement. "The arrest is Syria-related," it added.

Trump-Erdogan Meeting: diplomatic marketing and political failure
[NPASYRIA] The summit of the United States President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
and Ottoman Turkish President Erdogan ended without reaching solutions to the many controversial issues between the two allied countries for nearly seven decades, perhaps the prominent thing of this summit, as it emerged during the joint presser between the two presidents, is the magnitude of the compliments between Trump and Erdogan and their eagerness to appear as a political consensus contrary to the reality of the controversial issues, which drew attention to the personal relations and bilateral interests between them. On the eve of the meeting, the American media also spoke to the extent that, this phenomenon has become prominent in Trump's relations, policies and his attitudes, where the United States policy hasn't witnessed during the past decades.Outstanding differences

The size of American concerns regarding the Ottoman Turkish rapprochement with Russia was clear, especially in the case of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

Judge rules ‘ISIS bride’ Hoda Muthana is not a US citizen
[NYPOST] "ISIS bride" Hoda Muthana is not a US citizen ‐ and America is under no obligation to let her back into the country, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

Judge Reggie Walton found there was enough evidence to prove Muthana ‐ the US-born mom who fled her home in Alabama to join the terror group in Syria in 2014 but has been begging to come back to the US ‐ was born while her father was a Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
i diplomat, BuzzFeed News reported.
That makes her a natural born Yemeni citizen through her father, right? Where are her grandparents and uncles and cousins in all this?
The judge said Muthana’s father, Ahmed Ali Muthana, can’t provide financial support to either her or her 2-year-old son, Adam, who was born in ISIS territory, without facing potential charges of providing material support to terrorism.

Christina Jump, one of the lawyers representing the Muthana family, confirmed the judge’s ruling in a statement obtained by The Post.

"While we are disappointed with and disagree with the Court’s ruling today, this is not the end of our client’s legal options. We will wait to read the Court’s written opinion, and will evaluate our available options at that time," Jump said.

India-Pakistan
CBI Raid Amnesty International Offices in India, Freeze Assets
MUMBAI (Reuters) - India's central investigating agency raided the local offices of human rights group Amnesty International on Friday, the Central Bureau of Investigation said, in a probe into alleged violations of foreign funding rules.

"It was alleged that the provision of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 2010 and Indian Penal Code were contravened," the federal agency, known as the CBI, said in a statement, adding that the Indian arm received contributions from Amnesty International UK despite government restrictions.

The raids were conducted at Amnesty International's offices in Bengaluru and New Delhi after the CBI registered a case against the group based on a complaint from India's Home Ministry, the statement added.
It has mostly to do with certain islamophile stooges egging on Kashmiri dissent within and without, this latest. But Amnesty is a general nuisance everywhere. A domestic intelligence study revealed in March this year, that as the funds to these 'humanitarian' groups became scarce, the lawfare branches of most terrorist groups, their lawyers, their facilitators began to solicit funds desperately. As if a major vein had been blocked. The home agencies submitted a most interesting 572 page report, detailing the networks of payment, shell companies, fronts and payments to local journalists, activists, politicians etc. Although we urged them to keep out the names and accounts of Soros affiliated nuthouses and individuals, the Hand of Soros did show up repeatedly.
Amnesty, which has criticised some actions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hindu nationalist government in the past, was also accused of violations of foreign funding rules last year.

"Over the past year, a pattern of harassment has emerged every time Amnesty International India stands up and speaks out against human rights violations in India," the group said in a statement.
Yup, whack-a-mole it's called.
Amnesty accused Modi's government of violations of human rights in Kashmir after it revoked the constitutional autonomy of the disputed state in August and came down heavily on protesters in the aftermath.

The rights group also criticised the government's recent move to revoke the overseas Indian citizenship of British writer Aatish Taseer, calling it "discrimination based on gender and ethnic or national origin".

India has tightened surveillance of non-profit organisations in the country since Modi took power in 2014, with thousands of civil society groups having their licences to receive foreign donations cancelled or suspended.
Once you have resolve and make no pretense about it, creative officials do the rest really.
India's financial crime investigating agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), froze bank accounts of environmental watchdog Greenpeace India last year, forcing the organisation to cut its staff to a bare minimum.

Amnesty International's bank accounts were also frozen by the ED last year.
PS: I think you should seriously consider a 'Hand of Soros' option in the Organization dropdown. These fuckers are showing up in everything.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Terrorists Fire Hundreds Of Rockets Into Israel, But Majority of 2020 Democratic Contenders Are Silent
[The Federalist] Over the past three days, our closest ally in the Middle East has endured a barrage of rockets from its Islamic jihadist neighbors in Gaza, resulting in the closing of Tel Aviv schools for the first time since 1990. In the early hours of Tuesday morning in Shajaiyah in Gaza City, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) assassinated Baha Abu al-Ata, a top commander of the Gaza terror group Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a strike which has resulted in violent retaliatory measures against Israel on the part of the PIJ.

Though Hamas is the terrorist organization currently exercising political control over Gaza, their absolute hold over the region has been more tenuous in recent years. And the Iran-backed PIJ has capitalized on this weakening of power, rising to fill the resulting power vacuum from Hamas’ decline.

Yet, despite the hundreds of rockets launched at civilian centers throughout the southern part of Israel, only four of the top 10 2020 Democratic contenders bothered to comment‐former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Kamala Harris (who commented only when approached), Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and Sen. Amy Klobuchar. Notably absent were frontrunners Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT).

The irony of this silence from top primary contenders such as Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-VT., and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-MA., is that they have no problem rustling up commentary on Israel when it is to lecture Israel on its immigration policy or to challenge Israel’s understanding of its own territorial claims.

Indeed, many of the Democratic contenders expressed public anger at Israel’s denial of entry to Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-MI., and Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-MN., who were refused admittance under Israel’s Entry into Israel Law due to their BDS activities (which included the proposal of a pro-BDS bill in U.S. Congress). Though Israel’s decision was largely the result of adhering to laws already in place, public chastising on the part of the Left was swift and severe.

Democrats prefer to discuss Israel only when they can condemn Israel. When the matter involves terrorists threatening Israeli lives, these usually outspoken Democratic leaders are strangely mute. If they are so invested in Israel’s future, as they would like audiences to believe through their perpetual criticism of Israeli policy, why are they so stunningly silent now? Furthermore, isn’t it possible that the very policies they routinely criticize are the result of complex factors, like nearby terrorist factions launching hundreds of rockets, and that it would behoove them to acknowledge such attacks like the current one? Apparently, no.

In July, after Elizabeth Warren hired a pro-Hamas, anti-Israel aide named Max Berger and remained unabashedly mum about her decision, it became obvious that the far-Left’s hatred of Israel (and of really anything professing Enlightenment values) had begun to infect the upper echelons of the Democratic Party. The argument made at the time largely holds true in the current moment, as well.

Hamas announces: No Gaza border protests this Friday
[Jpost] Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", announced on Thursday that there will not be 'March of Return' this Friday, according to a Channel 13 report. This would be the first time that the protests are cancelled since March 2109, over half a year ago.

According to the report, the Hamas announcement came in an attempt to deescalate the situation following over 400 rockets that were launched at Israel by the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
as a response to IDF operation 'Black Belt' that killed PIJ commander Bahaa Abu al-Ata.

The weekly protests along the Israel-Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
border began on March 30, 2018, they were planned to be a six-week campaign to demand that Israel allow Paleostinian refugees and their descendants to return to their former homes in Israel. That’s why the organizers, mostly social media activists, chose to call the protests the "Great March of Return."

Hamas’ failure to join the round of fighting between Israel and PIJ was one of the main reasons why PIJ agreed to the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire, Paleostinians said on Thursday.

Sources close to Hamas explained that the movement chose not to involve itself in the fighting out of fear of dragging the Gaza Strip into an all-out war with Israel.

"The residents of the Gaza Strip can’t afford another major war like the one that took place in 2014," the sources said, referring to the seven-week Operation Protective Edge military offensive after Hamas fired rockets into Israel.

According to the sources, Hamas did not believe that the liquidation of al-Ata was sufficient to spark another war with Israel. "As far as Hamas was concerned, this was an internal issue concerning Paleostinian Islamic Jihad," the sources explained. "While Hamas did not try to stop the group from avenging the death of its commander, it saw no reason why its men should join the rocket attacks on Israel."

Southeast Asia
Egyptian suicide bomber (in Sulu) previously attacked churches in Egypt.
[Twitter]

“She together with Abduracman and her son Abduramil traveled to Mindanao via backdoor channel to seek refuge with the ASG (Abu Sayyaf Group) in Sulu with the help of ISIS connections in Southeast Asia,” Sulu police director PCol Pablo Labra said.

The Task Force added “Abduramil”—the young suicide bomber—was not related to the other adult foreign national (Abduracman) killed in the November 5 operation.

Abduramil and Abduracman, together with another unidentified suspect, were killed in a shootout earlier this month after the military received reports that they had planned to attack Jolo. Their nationalities were not revealed.

#3  One of the things that suggested Egypt might be on the right track was el-Sisi showing up to speak in a Coptic church at Christmas time.

Moscow calls for consensus between Damascus and SDF without interfering in Syria’s internal affairs
[NPASYRIA] The senior expert of the Russian Oriental Institute stressed that, Russia has called more than once for the consensus between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), noting that Russia plays the role of mediator only, and doesn't interfere in the internal affairs of Syria, on the other hand, he pointed out that those who are fighting within the Ottoman Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria are The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
's "mercenary" groups, pointing to Russia's support for the government forces and the SDF in their right to retaliate against those groups.

CALLS FOR RECONCILIATION
In a statement to North-Press, Konstantin Troivtsov said that, "Russia has called and demanded more than once that, there should be a reconciliation between the parties, and the necessity to pave the way for dialogue", pointing to Russia's welcome for the mere agreement reached between the two sides on the deployment of the Syrian government forces in northeastern Syria with the participation of the SDF to protect the borders.

RUSSIA IS A MEDIATOR
Regarding the final reconciliation between Damascus and the Kurds, the senior expert of the Russian Oriental Institute believes that, this reconciliation would be in the long term, and Russia is ready to exert all efforts with regard to the consensus between the two parties, noting that Moscow won't interfere directly in the internal Syrian affairs, because the agreement is among the Syrian parties, and that his country's role is as a mediator only.

GROUPS "MERCENARIES" OF TURKEY
Concerning the Ottoman Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria, the Russian expert said: "It is happening by Ottoman Turkish-affiliated groups without direct intervention from the army of Turkey". He noted that, if it was the Ottoman Turkish army, Russia would have forced it out and made it abide by all concluded agreements.

According to Konstantin Troivtsov's prediction, the Ottoman Turkish operation in northeastern Syria is being carried out by the "mercenaries" of the so-called "National Army" of Turkey, who claim to be Syrians.

Troivtsov noted that, so far "no one knows whether they are Syrian or Turks", ruling out that, the military operation in northern Syria is being carried out directly by the Ottoman Turkish army.

The senior expert stressed that, "if the Ottoman Turkish army is fighting within the territories of northern Syria, Russia will warn Turkey, and force it to stop its military operations directly, and will make it to return immediately to all agreements on this issue, including Sochi Agreement".

RIGHT TO RETALIATE
In case that, these strikes aren't directly from Turkey but from its affiliates, the Syrian government forces with the participation of the SDF have the full right to retaliate, amid the full support of Russia, according to Troivtsov.

He also pointed out that, during a statement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov asked the Syrian army to take control of all Syrian territories urgently, noting that the request was merely a call from Lavrov, and it wasn't an order, since Russia isn’t the commander of the Syrian army.
