Rhode Island councilman busted with crack cocaine pipe in hand now charged with child molestation
Maybe he can get Hunter's law team.
[FoxNews] Matthew Reilly was found incapacitated in his car in May, when officers say they discovered illicit substances

The city councilman from Rhode Island who was arrested on allegations of substance abuse has now been charged with child molestation.

Cranston City Councilman Matthew Reilly, who is already facing charges of drug possession, is now charged with multiple counts of child molestation after the guardian of a 12-year-old girl filed a complaint with the Cranston Police Department.

Reilly was arrested Thursday morning and taken into custody without incident. Cranston Police Department has declined to comment on the case.

Reilly's attorney, Michael Lepizzera, Jr., has asked the public to refrain from jumping to conclusions in the face of the new charges.

"With these types of charges, I can see the general public and even close friends instantaneously turning their back on Mr. Reilly and drawing knee jerk conclusions," Lepizzera told The Daily Beast in an email Thursday. "I simply ask everyone to refrain from public ridicule and gossip and allow the legal process to unfold in the ordinary course."

Lepizzera continued in his statement without directly commenting on the charges, calling the U.S. justice system "near perfect" and saying the courts should be trusted as "final adjudicator" of "any legal outcome."

Reilly, a Republican, was previously arrested in May after a passerby tipped police off to a man who appeared to be having a medical episode in his car.

Reilly, 41, was found passed out in the driver's seat, and an officer on the scene told Reilly, "You have a crack pipe in your hands," according to the bodycam footage. An officer observed that he appeared to have difficulty breathing or was choking, according to a police report.

Reilly, who was the chairman of the Cranston Republican Party, appeared disoriented but was polite and cooperated with police as he was questioned. He initially denied having drugs in his car but later allegedly admitted to buying $100 worth of crack cocaine the day before.

Police discovered a "white, rock-like substance" inside a container found in the vehicle's center console. The substance later tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl, according to police.

A search of the vehicle turned up additional drug paraphernalia, including a scouring pad, another pipe and tools used to scrape and prep the pipe, the police report said.

Biden, White House reporter flamed over 'scripted' child gender surgery question: 'North Korean puppetry'
[FoxNews] The president railed against 'hysterical,' 'prejudiced' lawmakers banning sex change surgeries for minors.

President Biden and a taxpayer-funded Public Broadcasting System (PBS) reporter were both harshly criticized Thursday for what some called a "scripted" exchange in opposition to bans on trans medical procedures for children.

The incident occurred during a joint press conference with United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, when PBS NewsHour White House correspondent Laura Barrón-López stated, "All over the country… Republican led states are passing laws – passing anti-LGBT, anti-transgender laws that restrict rights and medical care. Intimidate is on the rise. This week, anti-LGBTQ protesters turned violent in California."

Barrón-López went on to say she "spoke to the parents of a transgender girl in Texas who told me that they're afraid and that they are considering leaving not just their state, but the country. Sir, why do you think this is happening? And what do you say to parents like the ones that I spoke to-to those families who are contemplating leaving the country because they don't feel safe anymore?"

Biden replied by first asking to connect with the family then saying he was proud to end a ban on transgender individuals serving in the military and sign the Respect for Marriage Act. "But our fight is far, far from over because we have some hysterical and, I would argue, prejudiced people who are engaged in all that you see going on around the country. It's an appeal to fear, and it's an appeal that is totally, thoroughly unjustified, and ugly," he continued.

Biden went on to say that "extreme officials are pushing hateful bills targeting transgender children, terrifying families and criminalizing doctors."

"These are our kids. These are our neighbors. It's cruel and it's callous. It's not somebody else's kids, they're all our kids. Our children are the kite strings that hold our national ambitions aloft," he said.

The lengthy exchange quickly drew outrage from the right online.

Fox News Radio host Guy Benson quipped there is "much to say about his answer, but her ‘question’ is quite a thing to behold."

New Hampshire state Senate staffer Grant Bosse added that the reporter was "Begging the question, if you will." Adding, the late slapstick comedian Chris Farley had "sharper inquiries" than Barrón-López.

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck keyed in on Barrón-López's question, calling it "Fake News" with the hashtag "DefundPBS." He later added that she "is lying about 'anti-LGBTQ protesters' becoming 'violent'" and used emojis to say her "claim" is pants on fire.

Houck later pointed to Biden's apparent reading of crib notes, saying, "Notice how Biden read from prepared remarks in answering PBS reporter Laura Barrón-López's ‘question’ about ‘anti-LGBTQ’ views in America, saying those who believe men are men & women are women are 'prejudiced,' ‘ugly’ people." He added, "ZERO question this was pre-screened. ALL scripted."

The research arm of the Republican National Committee also claimed the president is "once again using a list of pre-selected reporters to call on at his press conference."

"Does he have the reporters' questions again, too?" they asked.

Biden has been criticized in the past for appearing to have printed lists of White House reporters he must call on, at times with the reporter's photo next to their name. Biden has even been caught with "cue cards" telling him specific choreographic directions like "YOU enter Roosevelt Room."

'Why so zealous in pursuing Trump yet so passive about Hillary or Hunter?' Ron DeSantis tears into DOJ as his 2024 rival is hit with seven federal charges - but stops short of saying he would pardon him
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Ron DeSantis has run to the defense of his 2024 Republican rival Donald Trump to attack the Department of Justice and ask why it isn't going after Hillary Clinton or Hunter Biden - but stopped short of offering to pardon.

The Florida Governor said on Thursday night: 'The weaponization of federal law enforcement represents a mortal threat to a free society.'

He attacked the Biden administration hours after Trump revealed that he had been indicted seven federal charges in the classified documents case.

Government Corruption
Biden dismisses 'malarkey' FBI tip claiming he played a role in Burisma bribe scheme: 'Where's the money?'
[NYPOST] Congressional Republicans who read an FBI informant file accusing President Biden of a role in a $5 million bribery scheme said Thursday that it involved the Ukrainian company Burisma — but Biden tauntingly retorted, "Where’s the money?"

"It’s a bunch of malarkey," Biden told a Post news hound when asked about the bribery claim hours after FBI Director Christopher Wray agreed to let rank-and-file House Oversight Committee members read a June 2020 document in a bid to avoid being held in contempt.

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) gave news hounds an accounting of the file after reading it at the Capitol, saying Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly told the FBI source "that he paid $5 million to one Biden and he paid $5 million to another Biden. And it was all a bribery to get [former Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor] Shokin fired."

Greene, whose account was confirmed by a third Republican member of Congress who read the document Thursday, said the file also described how in 2015 and 2016, Burisma "was looking to buy a US-based oil and gas company, and this came from being advised by [first son] Hunter Biden and his partners."

"Around the time of this meeting was when Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. SOld, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?...
as vice president had said that the prosecutor Shokin was corrupt. They hired Hunter on the board to make the problems go away," she said. "Hunter advised that they could raise more money if they bought a US company."

Hunter Biden earned up to $1 million per year from 2014 to 2019 to serve on the board of Burisma, despite having no relevant industry experience.

Then-VP Joe Biden met with a Burisma executive at a DC dinner in April 2015 — with the meal forming the basis of The Post’s explosive first report on Hunter’s abandoned laptop.

Greene added the FBI’s informant said he cautioned Burisma against the acquisition and instead suggested hiring a specialized attorney to resolve their legal issues, noting the source had told the firm’s executives it would look bad to "buy another US company while you’re under investigation."

The Burisma direct corruption proof is dribbling out without much denial beyond brazen indifference, they have played the "all-in" Trump indictment card, and are now apparently also revealing a huge money windfall for Iran in a "nuke"deal. My guess is the Puppet Show is now untethered and adrift, and the C-list minions left onboard will try every Prog "wet-dream" gimmick as they are going down in flames in the coming months.

In the DNC/Kalorama/Peking/Metaverse/Corporate/Gay-verse ZoomCalls the burning question is how to keep control of the Swamp. If Big Mike isn't suddenly more visible everywhere the MSM pollutes, she just doesn't want the headache, and the default seems to be Gruesome Neusome. Has he taken the deals to get the nod? If not, the under-card is a mystery.

The question still baffling me, is how to finesse the Cackle-Jackle, who has remained utterly invisible. She frightens even the most ardent anarchists in the Prog firmament, and with good cause!

Biden administration under fire for Iran nuke and hostage deal that could net regime billions
[Fox News] The Biden administration is facing intense criticism for its reported willingness to pump $17 billion dollars into the coffers of the world’s worst state-sponsor of terrorism — the Islamic Republic of Iran — to reach a controversial deal to impose temporary restrictions on Iran’s illicit nuclear program and secure the release of American hostages.

"When Joe Biden was elected, Iran’s nuclear program was in a box, and their economy was in a downward spiral," Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, told Fox News Digital. "Biden looked the other way as the Ayatollah steadily advanced to nuclear weapons, and the regime resumed exports of millions of barrels of oil a day.

"All the while, Iran became Putin’s No. 1 military backer. Biden has already been funding both sides of the war in Ukraine, and so it would be appalling but unsurprising if he started openly sending billions more to the Ayatollah."

Cruz’s criticism of Biden’s Iran policy follows a report in Iran International, a Washington D.C.-based independent news organization, that a deal might be imminent between the U.S. and Tehran over sanctions.

In exchange for economic incentives reported to be $17 billion for the clerical regime, the rulers of Iran would release three American hostages and freeze certain aspects of their alleged nuclear weapons work.

According to the Iran International report, funds in Iraqi banks totaling as much as $10 billion (or more) could be funneled to Iran and would be linked to restrictions on Tehran’s illegal atomic program. Iraq purchases electricity and natural gas from Tehran, but it is prohibited by U.S. sanctions from transferring dollar payments to Iran.

Iraq is only permitted to transfer funds to Iran in Iraqi dinars. As a result of tough sanctions on Iran, Tehran can only use the dinars to buy merchandise from Iraq. Tehran views this system as a trade balance and maintains there is an outstanding Iraqi debt.

Iran's ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh, told an Iraqi news outlet this year that Iraq owes Iran $11 billion for imports of gas and electricity.

South Korea purchased $7 billion in Iranian oil prior to the imposition of comprehensive energy sanctions on Iran in 2019. The money is being held by South Korea.

When asked about the Iran International report and a new deal with Iran’s regime, a State Department spokesperson did not deny the report.

"Make no mistake: the United States of America will protect and defend its citizens," the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "To that end, we remain committed to securing the freedom of all U.S. nationals who continue to be wrongfully detained overseas, and we are working relentlessly to bring all wrongfully detained nationals home. We will not stop until they are reunited with their loved ones."

"The United States should never spend one penny in ransom on payments to the world's leading state sponsors of terrorism," noted former State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus, who served during the Trump administration.

"Secretary Pompeo and President Trump brought two Americans home from Iranian prison without paying a cent. Giving Iran billions of dollars would only incentivize more hostage taking and lead more Americans and their families to suffer. And fuel more Iranian terrorism around the world."

Another Biden campaign co-chair has ties to Hunter, asked for his briefing ‘on the Ukraine'
[FoxNews] Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester reportedly launching Senate campaign this month in Delaware

Democratic Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, one of the Biden campaign’s national co-chairs and a likely Senate candidate, thanked Hunter Biden in 2016 for his "generous contribution" to her campaign and asked if he could brief her "on the Ukraine," emails show.

Blunt Rochester, who was named co-chair along with several others, including Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., previously served in the same role for Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. She is expected to launch a run for the open Senate seat in Delaware this month, Politico reported.

Fox News Digital previously reported that Hunter served as an outside adviser to Coons during his successful 2010 Senate bid, making Blunt Rochester at least the second campaign co-chair with ties to the embattled first son.

Months before winning her election against Republican Hans Reigle, Blunt Rochester sent an email to Hunter thanking him for donating to her campaign.

"I just told Brian that I saw your contribution online," she wrote Feb. 5, 2016. "I can't thank you enough. You know that it's not easy running for any office. It means a lot to have you on my team.

"By the way, I'm sure Brian will tell you that I will be in DC next Tuesday and Wednesday."

Ten days later, on the evening of Feb 15, 2016, Blunt Rochester thanked Hunter again for the donation and asked if he could brief her "on the Ukraine."

Hunter made four donations to Blunt Rochester's campaign in 2016, totaling $3,000, according to FEC records.

Asa Hutchinson Calls on Trump to ‘End His Campaign' After Indictment
[Breitbart] Presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) is calling on former President Donald Trump to end his presidential campaign following the news of federal prosecutors indicting the former president.

"With the news that Donald Trump has been indicted for the second time, our country finds itself in a position that weakens our democracy," Hutchinson said in a statement released by the Asa for American campaign, accusing Trump of disregarding the Constitution and disrespecting the rule of law.

"Donald Trump’s actions — from his willful disregard for the Constitution to his disrespect for the rule of law — should not define our nation or the Republican Party," he continued.

"This is a sad day for our country," he said, ultimately demanding Trump end his presidential campaign.

"While Donald Trump is entitled to the presumption of innocence, the ongoing criminal proceedings will be a major distraction," he said. "This reaffirms the need for Donald Trump to respect the office and end his campaign."

Gov. Kathy Hochul appoints Seth Marnin as first openly male transgender judge in US history
[NYPOST] New York will have the first openly male transgender judge in the nation, it was announced on Wednesday.

Seth Marnin was one of eleven people named by Gov. Kathy Hochul to serve on the state Court of Claims, which oversees civil cases seeking damages from the state.

"I have full faith that this historic and outstanding group of appointees will serve New Yorkers with fairness and impartiality," Hochul said in a statement.

"With diverse perspectives and extensive expertise, I’m confident that each appointee will bring honor and integrity to New York State’s judiciary."

The appointment of Marnin to oversee Court of Claims cases in New York City adds to the historical firsts in the state court system by Gov. Kathy Hochul, who successfully nominated Rowan Wilson as New York’s first black chief judge earlier this year.

That came after a failed effort to get the state Senate to confirm Hector LaSalle as the first Latino chief judge, a position that oversees New York’s court system.

Marnin currently works at Columbia University as the director of training and education for equal opportunity and affirmative action after serving as a legal advisor for nonprofits.

He will need confirmation by the state Senate.

#3  Post, so I'm guessing really Samantha Marnin.

I'd argue that a judge, or really anyone in a position of judgement, on such a regime is legally intoxicated and therefore decisions void.

#4  People with diagnosed mental conditions -or- regularly taking mind altering drugs cannot purchase firearms.

Someone with both conditions, however, can be a judge in a court of law.

Explain this.
