Two people are being held in custody after a black vehicle breached two security checkpoints at US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, according to media reports on Friday hours ahead of the president’s planned trip there.
The Associated Press reported that authorities fired shots at the intruder vehicle.
The vehicle was heading to the property’s main entrance, NBC News said, citing the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office.
Trump was scheduled to leave Washington for his resort later on Friday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, a black SUV being pursued by the Florida Highway Patrol breached security about 11:40 a.m. at the main entrance of the resort. Officers fired shots and the SUV raced off. It was pursued by the Highway Patrol and a sheriff's office helicopter.
The sheriff’s office said the SUV was later found and the two people were taken into custody. Authorities did not release any information about the suspects and no further details were immediately available.
Mar-a-Lago has been the scene of several intrusions since Trump became president.
On January 5, just hours after Trump and his family had left the club following a two-week vacation, a Florida man who had been dishonorably discharged from the Marines for sex offenses was arrested.
Authorities said he got past two checkpoints by falsely identifying himself as part of the president’s helicopter crew.

As much push back as there is on knowing who the whistleblower is (Ciaramella), he's got to be complicit with others in trying to take down Trump. Check with every high-ranking Dem such as Schumer and Pelosi, Brennan and some hold-overs in State and Justice as well. Might ought to talk with John Roberts as well, since for some reason he did not want Ciaramella's name mentioned in the Senate trial. One should not be able to hide behind whistleblower (albeit fake) status to break the law and cover-up wrongdoing. Go back over 40 years, to the start of Iran's long conflict with the United States. On April 1, 1979, the theocratic Islamic Republic of Iran was proclaimed. Virtually all Americans‐Democrats, Republicans and independents‐united in support of the hostages and the international call for their freedom. One prominent political figure on the 2020 stage, then almost completely unknown, stood apart by joining a Marxist-Leninist party that not only pledged support for the Iranian theocracy, but also justified the hostage taking by insisting the hostages were all likely CIA agents. Who was that person? It was Bernie Sanders.
Sanders would like the public to believe, as an AP story put it, that "democratic socialism [is] the economic philosophy that has guided his political career." But that has not always been the case. In 1977, he left the tiny left-wing Liberty Union Party of Vermont that he'd co-founded, and in 1980 instead aligned himself with the Socialist Workers Party (SWP), the self-proclaimed Trotskyist revolutionary party, became its presidential elector in Vermont, and campaigned for its candidates and platform that defended the Iranian hostage seizure.
In fact, the SWP's position on Iran is part of what distinguishes it from democratic socialist groups. When its presidential candidate, Andrew Pulley, came to speak at the University of Vermont in October 1980, Sanders chaired the meeting. Pulley attracted only 40 students to his rally, where he concentrated, according to the SWP's newspaper The Militant, "on the Iran-Iraq war," and condemned "anti-Iranian hysteria around the U.S. hostages." Military action against Iran was not at that point theoretical‐Pulley's speech came six months after the attempt to free the hostages in Operation Eagle Claw had failed.
In his standard stump speech, Pulley condemned "Carter's war drive against the Iranian people," and said that the U.S. "was on the brink of war with Iran," which would be fought "to protect the oil and banking interests of the Rockefellers and other billionaires." Americans, he predicted, would soon "pay on the battlefields with our very own lives." Their criticism of the Ayatollah was intended "to get us ready for war." And, Pulley charged, the media who criticized those of us who were against "American imperialism" were "declared insane." As for the hostages, Pulley said "we can be sure that many of them are simply spies... or people assigned to protect the spies."

[Daily Caller] Republican California Rep. Devin Nunes had some "bad news" for Fox News host Tucker Carlson after the Senate voted to not call additional witnesses Friday in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.
Appearing on Friday night’s "Tucker Carlson Tonight" to react to the day’s 51-49 vote and the likely final vote happening on Wednesday, Nunes explained that even the Senate’s final acquittal will not mean the end of Democrats’ efforts to remove Trump from office.
"I actually have some bad news for you tonight, Tucker on Friday night," Nunes said. "The problem is this isn’t going to end. I just can’t imagine that Adam Schiff, after three and a half years of this nonsense ‐ and Jerry Nadler ‐ are not going to continue this, right? They are going to go back and subpoena John Bolton. We’re going to have the same exact thing that you have been seeing for the last three and a half years. I just think you should prepare."

A Bernie victory in IA and NH would be a good thing for the Republic because it would represent yet another nail in the Global Grifter coffin.

Congressman Kim, who has the ability to work for or against additional funding for Joint Base Maguire-Dix-Lakehurst, lied about his military service during his first run for congress in 2018. While he was a mere intern and analyst, his campaign and supporters billed him as having put his "life on the line" during the War on Terror. Kim narrowly flipped a GOP district in 2018 and is listed as one of New Jersey’s most vulnerable Democrats. Even so, he jumped on the impeachment bangwagon.
According to SaveJersey, a local publication that covered the election and Kim’s campaign, then candidate Kim was lambasted by a local Republican State Representative who was an actual Navy Seal who put his life on the line.
"Andy Kim stood by while the Mayor of Hoboken made him out to be a war hero by falsely claiming he traveled overseas to ’literally fight and sacrifice his life.’ I know real heroes who sacrificed their lives. We fought together, tirelessly, for a country we love and are proud to defend," said Peters, a United States Navy SEAL who served four tours of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan and Central America.
"Andy Kim did not fight, nor did he sacrifice his life. This is the latest example of how things are so different under President Trump. When he receives tremendous support from our military during visits overseas or bases in the United States, he is greeted with extremely warm welcomes and requests to sign his iconic MAGA hats or other items.
CNN and other mainstream media outlets claim this is illegal, yet they championed the same things under Obama.
Regardless of who is president, you should be able to express yourself and not be silenced or censored, just because he might have to see support for President Trump during a visit to one of our military bases.
