Texas Could Soon Withdraw from ERIC Voter Registration Network
[GovTech] Officials in the state have threatened to withdraw from the multistate Electronic Registration Information Center IF the group fails to agree this week on reforms to address concerns that it leans too far left.

About 30 states and the District of Columbia are members of ERIC. Since its inception in 2012, the nonprofit has cross-matched states’ voter records, motor vehicle data, death certificates and other information to help member states purge millions of ineligible voters from rolls. It has also identified millions more who were eligible to vote but not yet registered.

Up until last year, the group, the only one of its kind in the country, enjoyed bipartisan praise from secretaries of state nationwide. But that changed late last year when some far-right Republicans began floating concerns about the group’s funding and purpose.

Among the complaints of some member states, including Texas, is a requirement that they notify eligible but unregistered voters of their ability to register.
The concern being that ERIC has been primarily or only contacting potential Democratic voters, not Independents or Republicans.
Critics want this provision to be optional after an initial contact. They also have privacy concerns.

So far this year, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Missouri and West Virginia have announced plans to withdraw from ERIC. And some big states, such as California and New York, aren’t members.

Apple Removes Donald Trump's Song with J6 Prison Choir from iTunes
[BREITBART] Apple temporarily removed former President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
’s debut single, "Justice For All," from iTunes on Thursday after the hit single spent one week at number one on the iTunes chart, Kash Patel told Breitbart News.

Trump released "Justice For All," less than two weeks ago. The song features the "J6 Prison Choir," an ensemble of January 6 prisoners who can be heard singing the national anthem while Trump recites the Pledge of Allegiance.

Notably, the song topped the iTunes chart, staying at the number-one spot for seven consecutive days. The song beat out Miley Cyrus’s "Flowers," Tim McGraw’s "Standing Room Only," and Morgan Wallen’s "Last Night" for the top spot on the iTunes chart.

The song was sold for $1.29, with all net proceeds going to "certain J6 families in need." The song sold over 22,000 digital downloads from its release on March 3 through Monday, March 13.

However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
the song was temporarily removed from iTunes for a period of hours on Thursday, consequently removing the song from its number one position on the charts, Patel told Breitbart News.

Patel, who served as a national security official during the Trump administration, played an integral role in producing "Justice For All."

A senior Apple Music representative told Patel the song’s removal was due to a "miscommunication."

#2  BREAKING: Trump announces he 'will be arrested on Tuesday'

From the article:

The charges from New York City DA Alvin Bragg amount to falsifying business records, in that Trump's company allegely "falsely accounted" for some $130,000 paid to Trump's 2016 attorney Michael Cohen, not specifying on their balance sheet that this was a pay off, as opposed to legal fees.Trump has denied knowing that the money was used to pay Stormy Daniels, though his current attorney notes that Trump may have been legally prevented from publicly stating that money had gone to Daniels under the terms of the agreement.

Bragg, however, has taken the charge of falsifying records and raised it to the level of a felony, which is relatively unusual. For this misdemeanor to become a felony, Bragg must prove that Trump had an "intent to defraud," and the intent to committ a second crime.

"Our nation is now third world & dying," Trump writes. "The American Dream is dead! The radical left anarchists have stolen out presidential election, and with it, the heart of our country. American patriots are being arrested & held in captivity like animals, while criminasl & leftist thugs are allowed to roam the streets, killing & burning with no retribution. Millions are flooding through our open boarders, many from prisons and mental institutions. Crime & inflation are destroying our very way of life..." He wrote in the first post (errors corrected).

"Now illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political manhattan district attorney's office, which has allowed new records to be set in violent crime & whose leader is funded by George Soror, indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven, & based on an old & fully debunked (by numerous other prosecutors!) fairytale, the far & away leading Republican candidate & former President of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, take our nation back!" He wrote.

Biden Says He's ‘Really Not Irish'
[Townhall] Biden attended the Friends of Ireland Luncheon with Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). When Biden spoke, he quipped that he visited Ireland and saw family members.

"There are so many, and they actually weren’t in jail," Biden said.

Later in his remarks, Biden said he visited a pub that is owned by a member of his family.

"I’m the only Irishman you’ve ever met though that’s never had a drink, so, I'm OK," he quipped. "I’m really not Irish."

According to Fox News, in December, Biden said during a veteran’s town hall, "I may be Irish, but I’m not stupid." Last St. Patrick’s Day, he reportedly made the same remark.

Government Corruption
Janet Yellen's Policy Would Destroy Small US Banks While Bailing Out Chinese Depositors, Experts Say
[Daily Caller] Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s recently announced policy to safeguard all uninsured deposits at failing banks deemed to be a "systemic risk" to the U.S. economy would destroy smaller financial institutions while simultaneously bailing out Chinese depositors, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Yellen, alongside the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Federal Reserve, announced Sunday that all uninsured depositors who held accounts at the now-defunct Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and Signature Bank would be fully covered, adding that "decisive actions" were needed to "protect the U.S. economy." SVB was particularly popular among Chinese tech startups, as it provided easy access to U.S. investor funding, CNBC reported. (RELATED: Silicon Valley Bank Parent Company Files For Bankruptcy)

SVB’s stock collapsed last week amid numerous customer bank runs following the institution’s disclosure of a $1.8 billion net loss on asset sales on the back of high interest rates, forcing regulators to shut down the bank. Just two days later, Signature Bank, a premier lender in the crypto space, was closed by regulators due to "systemic risks," CNBC reported.

A bailout of uninsured depositors at the collapsed banks benefits the Chinese Communist Party at taxpayers’ expense and could lead to stricter regulatory controls that smaller U.S. banks would be unable to withstand, experts told the DCNF.

"It’s absolutely atrocious that we are yet again, using taxpayer money to bail out the CCP," E.J. Antoni, research fellow for Regional Economics at The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis, told the DCNF. "And so now whenever the government has these knee-jerk reactions, we end up sending dollars where the American people would not like them to go."

#7  They announced it would not cost taxpayers, only the innocent banks which would have to pay increase amounts to the the Federal Deposit Insurance fund, to cover the payments to depositors not authorized by previous rules.
This would give the Treasury a windfall. It will take over the banks and book a charge to the treasury of the mark to market value, which includes the loss; will not actually pay anything, and sell the bonds when they mature, at face value
The losers will be the banks that have to oay more to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp to recoup payments to the uninsured depositors.
This will of course weaken smaller banks which will have to pay for the mistakes of others..
That those others happen to be big donors the the
Democrats who would love to have more banks similarly fail is a mere coincidence. i

#8  What Frank said at #4. Anything over that is cheating the rest of us.

Life is not without risk.

You think you're safe buying ten year government bonds at one percent interest? No, you're not. Stupidity is never safe.

And all these depositors who thought they'd be safe just putting their fortunes in the bank instead of investing in stocks, real estate or business ventures? Too bad.

Remember the story Jesus told about the three slaves whose master gave them talents (money) and then went on a trip? From Matthew 25:25: The slave who was given five talents traded with them and doubled the money. The slave who was given two talents doubled that money. But the slave who was given one talent buried it in a hole that he dug in the back yard. Upon his return the master was pleased with the first two slaves and rewarded them. But not the third. "You wicked and lazy slave," said the master on his return. "Throw him into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth."

That's not the whole story but you all know where you can read it for yourselves.

So this story is as old as the Bible. The wrinkle now is the gang of crooks that run our government who will make us pay to rescue the wicked, lazy slave from his own folly. Not only that. They are setting a precedent in which taxpayers are on the hook for all the wicked, lazy bankers in the country and all of their wicked, lazy depositors. And what's the point in FDIC insurance, what's the point in playing by the rules if Uncle Sugar will bail you out anyway?

Finally, how do Biden and Yellen get away with giving our money to failed banks without Congressional approval?

Now the FBI has charged a Jewish newspaper editor who was at J6
More on this story from yesterday.
[HOTAIR] Merrick Garland
...Attorney General of the U.S., who classifies indignant parents as domestic terrorists. The is the respected legal scholar Obama nominated for the Supreme Court...
recently warned the nation’s courts that they would be sending "thousands" of additional cases involving people who were allegedly part of the January 6 riot at the Capitol building. The DoJ didn’t waste any time making good on that promise, bringing charges yesterday against Elliot Resnick in New York City. But Resnick’s case comes with a twist. He doesn’t deny that he was in the Capitol Building that day, but he was the editor of The Jewish Press, an Orthodox Jewish newspaper in the Big Apple. He was covering the rally and the subsequent incursion of the building. So how are they justifying the arrest of a member of the media? Resnick allegedly "grabbed the arm" of a Capitol Hill Police officer briefly when he was pepper spraying some of the protesters. (News Agency that Dare Not be Named)

A former top editor of an Orthodox Jewish newspaper in New York City was arrested Thursday on charges that he interfered with coppers who were trying to protect the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot.

Elliot Resnick, 39, was chief editor of The Jewish Press when he joined the crowd of Donald Trump

...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
agent’s affidavit.

Videos show Resnick grabbing and holding the arm of a Capitol police sergeant who was spraying a chemical irritant to prevent rioters from entering the building, the affidavit says. Another officer tried to remove Resnick’s hand from the sergeant’s arm, the agent wrote.

Biden admin drags its feet, refuses to cooperate with requests from Congress on nearly every issue
[BIZPACREVIEW] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S., who gives the term geriatric a bad name. He blames Afghans for losing Afghanistan....
may have pledged to restore transparency to the administration before he took office, but since Republicans regained control of the House, his officials have stonewalled Congress, refusing to respond to requests on nearly every issue the GOP has vowed to investigate.

"GOP politicians face the increasingly likely prospect of a protracted fight to get basic answers," investigative journalist Sarah Westwood writes for the Washington Examiner.

"More than a half-dozen House committees have sent dozens of requests to agencies across the federal government since January, probing everything from Hunter Biden
...son of President Joe: cashiered from the Navy, a crackhead, wheeler dealer, leg humper, horn dog, and general all around ne'er do well. We're supposed to feel sorry for him...

...the collection of boodlers, grifters, hangers-on, and self-proclaimed experts affiliated with the Biden Crime Family. Entrusted with an entire nation as the result of a suspicious election, they set about happily implementing stuff they absorbed in college, all of which blew up and splattered the rest of us...

Dozens of Mar-a-Lago staff, from servers to aides, are subpoenaed in classified documents witch hunt
Same stuff, different day.
[CNN] At least two dozen people — from Mar-a-Lago resort staff to members of Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s inner circle at the Florida estate — have been subpoenaed to testify to a federal grand jury that’s investigating the former president’s handling of classified documents, multiple sources familiar with the investigation told CNN
...the organization formerly known as the Cable News Network. Now who knows what it might stand for...
.

On Thursday, Trump’s communications aide Margo Martin, who worked in the White House and then moved with Trump to Florida, appeared before the grand jury in Washington, DC. One of special counsel Jack Smith’s senior-most prosecutors was involved in the interview.

Martin, who is among a small group of former White House advisers who have remained employed by Trump after he left office, declined to answer any questions when approached by a CNN news hound.

Many of the Mar-a-Lago staffers are being represented by counsel paid for by Trump entities, according to sources and federal elections records.

The Justice Department has been investigating potential mishandling of national security records and possible obstruction for about a year. FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
agents recovered more than 100 classified documents during a search of Mar-a-Lago last summer. Since then, Trump’s legal team has turned over additional classified material.

The federal probe previously subpoenaed top Trump advisers, such as former White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino and former Trump adviser and Pentagon official Kash Patel.

Meanwhile,
...back at the wrecked scow, a single surviver held tightly to the smashed prow...
Smith continues to pursue Trump defense lawyer Evan Corcoran. In an earlier appearance before the grand jury, Corcoran declined to answer questions about his conversations with Trump related to the classified documents, citing attorney-client privilege. Prosecutors are asking a judge to find that he must answer because the conversations may have been part of advancing a crime or fraud.

A ruling is expected from the DC District Court on Corcoran as early as this week.

Lori Lightfoot confronted by reporter who was booted from press briefings: 'Get the hell out of my city'

A racist to the bone, Lori sez that people with the same skin tone all think alike, not quite getting the implications for a city with a population less than thirty percent black...
for allegedly silencing him by pulling his city press credentials fired back at her yet again in a fierce exchange at a Wednesday city council meeting.

"You shut down our schools, you shut down the churches, you shut down the businesses. You did the one thing I thought could never happen: As somebody who was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, I never thought in my life that I would ever see the city of Chicago brought down so low," news hound William Kelly slammed Lightfoot.

"I hope that, after today's city council meeting, you will pack your suitcase and get the hell out of my city."

Kelly spoke out about the tussle Thursday on "Fox & Friends," telling host Steve Doocy that the tense moment was his chance to speak out on behalf of the citizens of Chicago.

"Even if she didn't pull my press credentials, I still would not have had the opportunity to ask her a question or speak for the people of Chicago after the city council meeting because Mayor Lightfoot canceled her post-city council meeting presser," he said.

"I applied for the public comments section right before the meeting. It's a lottery. It's limited to five people to speak for three minutes, and the luck of the Irish — St. Patrick's Day — I was one of the five."

Stacey Abrams Wants To Run Again. Georgia Dems Aren't Thrilled
[DAILYCALLER] Former Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams
...the pudgy, sour grapes lo-o-o-o-o-ser (Loser! Loser! Loser!) of the 2018 Georgia governor's race. Stacey nominated herself to be Joe Biden's vice president nominee, to widespread national apathy. She has a very keen eye for Racism in any form, to include the imaginary...
has floated the idea of running for offie again after her last two failed campaigns, but some state Democrats are ready for her to move on, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Abrams’ 2022 campaign outraised her rival, Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, by $8 million, with the vast majority of donations coming from out of state, but ran out of money, lost the race and is still facing major debts. Despite her 2018 and 2022 losses, Abrams has not ruled out a third run for governor, prompting worry from some Georgia Democrats, according to the AJC. (RELATED: Stacey Abrams, Who Denied Election Results In Georgia, Overseeing Nigerian Election)

"I will likely run again," Abrams said in January. "If at first you don’t succeed, try try again. If it doesn’t work, you try again."

Bobby Kahn, the former head of the Democratic Party of Georgia, suggested Abrams would lose if she ran again and told the AJC it was time for her to move on.

"The party needs to move forward. And going 0-3 isn’t a way to go forward. Does she really want to be the next Guy Millner?" Kahn said, according to the AJC; Millner was a Republican executive who lost three statewide races between 1994 and 1998.

"She can’t just chalk it up to running against an incumbent. She raised a record amount of money. And Democrats in 49 other states thought she would win," he told the outlet. "She will still be hard to beat in a primary. You have to hope she comes to this conclusion herself. There are a lot of rising leaders in the party ready to step in."

#5  She'll run, if for no other reason than to live high on the hog as a hog. To feed and support herself, while funneling campaign fund $$$ to certain pockets and to cover some IOU's.

Plus, I am sure it attracts a number of fresh suitable campaign female staff she can spend a lot of time working on with.

#12  ^ No. If I remember correctly, you have to physically fight for that job. With weapons. A system I wholeheartedly approve of, but Abrahams (despite her name) is poorly suited for.

Chris Christie Isn't Done Embarrassing Himself Yet
[REDSTATE] Politics has a way of driving people into delusion. That’s because even laughably bad candidates can still find themselves in the limelight and aboard private jets, at least for a time. Kámala Harris
Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California, and then a former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful. She dropped out because she was polling in negative numbers because of racism or misogyny or something like that. Her father is a Marxist professor emeritus at Stanford and her mother is an Indian of the Hindoo tribe. She is reputedly the proud descendant of a long line of women. Joe Biden picked her for her skin tone, feeling she could also bring in the Native American, women's, and bimbo votes. She's an outstanding exemplar of the Peter Principle, proudly displaying her level of competence in her handling of the Biden Border Surge
’ disastrous presidential run is proof enough of that, though she managed to parlay her epic failure and intersectionality into a vice presidential position because failing up is a Democratic Party gold standard.

But while Harris at least had enough initial support to justify a run, there are others who deserve to be heckled for even entertaining the idea of running for president. Chris Christie is one of those people.

Christie, the failed former Governor of New Jersey-turned-failed presidential candidate-turned-grating talking head, is apparently contemplating jumping into the 2024 race (Washington Examiner). I guess he’s not done embarrassing himself yet.

Elections Have Consequences; Stolen Elections Have Catastrophes
By J.B. Shurk

[AMERICANTHINKER] "Put the adults back in charge," they whined. "Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
will break the world," they lied. Well, they manipulated election rules to certify suspicious vote totals that preposterously portrayed senile Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run. On the other hand, he did abandon Afghanistan...
as the most popularly elected president in history; censored and locked up anyone who complained; and covered up their crimes with J6 show trials drenched in untruths meant to hide from history the Uniparty's underhanded machinations in outright stealing a presidential election. The whole mess was so banana-republic-yucky that Biden was inaugurated behind barbed wire and a show of military force befitting the small junta who attended the successful coup's celebration. And as a result of the Uniparty's installation of Dementia Joe as White House marionette, the American people have been plagued with crime, inflation, political persecution, COVID tyranny, deadly battlefield retreat, open borders, staggering drug deaths, proxy wars, bankruptcies, bank runs, endless new regulations, a plummeting standard of living, economic panic, and social volatility. Elections have consequences, but stolen elections have catastrophes.

#4  Does anybody else see the continuing crescendo of political provocation that is ramping up to this political theater? Setting the stage for government over-reaction if there is a huge public outcry and if not assessing the next level of Marxist takeover targeting!

'That's a Lie': Janet Yellen Faces Grilling Before Senate Finance Committee
[TOWNHALL] Biden Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen appeared before the Senate Finance Committee on Thursday morning and things did not go well as she tried to explain the Biden administration, the guys that caused the debacle in Afghanistan
...the pack of self-imagined masterminds of strategy and intrigue at the service of the Biden Crime Family and a grateful nation...
's "not a bailout" bailout of two failed banks in the last week, why she claimed inflation was "transitory" earlier in the cost crisis, and why the Biden administration is refusing to negotiate with Republicans to raise the debt ceiling.

Reiterating claims that Biden's bailout of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank constituted "decisive action," seemingly fishing for applause, Yellen said America's "banking system is sound and Americans can feel confident that their deposits will be there when they need them." Echoing Biden's Monday morning speech that failed to quell anxiety about America's banks, Yellen insisted the banking system remains "strong" and stated "no taxpayer money is being used" in the bailout. Still, the Biden administration has not explained where this apparently magic non-taxpayer money that banks paid into the Deposit Insurance Fund came from.

Yellen also claimed that Biden has led the United States into a "historic economic recovery" but acknowledged inflation remains an issue on which more "work needs to be done." Ironically, Yellen heralded "three transformational laws" passed by Congress and signed by Biden — the infrastructure package, CHIPS and Science Act, and falsely named Inflation Reduction Act — without noting those tax-and-spending sprees caused some of inflation's surge to 40-year highs.
