BBC - Mouthwash 'can kill COVID virus in lab in 30 seconds'
[BBC] Mouthwash can kill coronavirus within 30 seconds of being exposed to it in a lab, a scientific study indicates.

Scientists at Cardiff University found there were "promising signs" that over-the-counter mouthwashes may help to destroy the virus.

The report comes ahead of a clinical trial on Covid-19 on patients at the University Hospital of Wales.

Dr Nick Claydon said the study could lead to mouthwash becoming an important part of people's routines.

While the research suggests use of mouthwash may help kill the virus in saliva, there is not evidence it could be used as a treatment for coronavirus, as it will not reach the the respiratory tract or the lungs.

Dr Claydon, a specialist periodontologist, said: "If these positive results are reflected in Cardiff University's clinical trial, CPC-based mouthwashes... could become an important addition to people's routine, together with hand washing, physical distancing and wearing masks, both now and in the future."

#7  I suppose the alcohol in some mouthwashes (mine, for instance) has a similar effect on viruses and bacteria as the alcohol in hand sanitizer.

As long as you catch it before it gets into the lungs, that is.

#8  That'll be next...pocket-sized mouthwash to go everywhere with you. I am suspicious of this report in a way. Sure, it may be true and mouthwash may be efficacious, but, really, are they then implying that we should gargle all day? When we come inside the house? Should the virus be present in the mouth (which we wouldn't know), when is it too late to use the mouthwash? It's either feel-good stuff or a little plug for the pharma/mouthwash industry.

#3  Great country. Greatest political design ever. Resilient, flexible and stable political institutions.

But incredibly shitty politicians in the current era. Lots of shitty media, entertainment and corporate weasels too.

How did we get such corrupt and incompetent bastards? The explanation has to be cultural, probably something deep and fundamental change to how we raised and taught recent generations of Americans.

Seems to be a lot of truth to this analysis that places the blame on the culture's hatred of "the father, the Father and country or la patrie"

#4  To embed YouTube videos here you have to do this:

Within the embed tag, the src="" property needs to have the YouTube video url stripped down to the bare minimum with \embed\ inserted the simplified url. You usually start out with a gawd awful url like with https:\\www.youtube.com\junk junk junk watch=rtu89gfje or something really long like that.

Simplify the url and insert the "\embed\" phrase like this inside the embed tag, https:\\www.youtube.com\embed\rtu89gfje then do your width="400" and height="215" properties in the embed tag. Then close then close the embed tag with the greater than sign followed by < /embed >.

Keep hitting the Preview button until it is just right size and you can see the video image and then click Submit.

The Birth Of ‘Fake News’ A Century Ago
A taste.
[RCP via ZH] (Submitted by Carl M. Cannon, Washington bureau chief for RealClearPolitics; John Maxwell Hamilton, author of "Manipulating the Masses: Woodrow Wilson and the Birth of American Propaganda" (LSU Press), discussed his new book with RealClearPolitics.)

So "Fake News" isn’t something Donald Trump invented, is it? The phrase has been thrown around for a long time, predating Trump’s presidency by exactly 100 years.

More than a hundred years. A small book was published in 1914 on the subject, "Fakes in American Journalism." An 1897 book exposing sensational reporting of the Spanish-American War was called "Facts and Fakes About Cuba." In World War I, as today, the term "fake news" and its equivalents were put to many uses, some of them, paradoxically, to promote falsehoods.

Trumpism Without Trump Neither Possible Nor Desirable
Reading the whole thing is recommended.
[Epoch Times - Conrad Black] It would not be a brilliant move, even if it were possible, to dismiss the man that 60,000 people will stand for hours in the rain and cold for an opportunity to see. With no disrespect, Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley and the current vice president and other Republican worthies are not going to pack the Superdome with scores of thousands of chanting followers listening to an earnest and traditional diet of Bush—McCain—Romney Republicanism.

Trump raised the Republican vote between Mitt Romney in 2012 and last week by over 20 percent, and the pattern of the voting increase is extremely promising: Though the polls are not entirely precise, it is clear that Trump made extensive inroads in the traditional Democratic fiefdoms of African Americans, Latin Americans, and the working class generally.
Former Democrats.
Coulter is no mean showman, with her attractive countenance, long blonde hair, and prodigious height, from all of which emanates a torrent of refreshing witticisms uttered in a magnificent Eleanor Roosevelt accent. If she thought about it for five seconds, she would realize that if Trumpism without Trump were a viable idea, somebody other than Trump would have put it across, and that all of the prominent Republicans apart from him, and many of them have considerable merit, do not remotely have the magnetic and uplifting qualities that Trump possesses of what in earlier and less-civilized times would be called rabble-rousing.
[chortle]
If Joe Biden takes office, the United States will shortly have the greatest pandemic of buyers' remorse in U.S. sociopolitical history. A man of such histrionic talents as Trump could effortlessly recalibrate his approach slightly to exploit the opportunity for the greatest political comeback since Richard Nixon.

Relatively reliable polls indicate that 70 percent of Republicans already believe that the election has been stolen. If the president is minded to continue his crusade against the policy failures of the post-Reagan years and his drive to reposition the Republican Party as a strong competitor for the votes of all social and economic classes of Americans, he has a perfect opportunity to lead the battle to win the midterm elections, promise election reform so that just as no other president should be shivved as he was by the corruption of the intelligence services and the FBI four years ago, neither should anyone be robbed of an election by unverifiable review of mailed ballots as he likely will be.

Grover Cleveland had non-consecutive terms as president; so would have Theodore Roosevelt had he not shortened his life by illnesses contracted in his trip up the Amazon in his mid-50s. Trump's work is not finished, and if he's cheated this time, he will have a splendid opportunity after four years of Democratic flimflam, posturing, and ineptitude to win this battle once and for all. No one could blame him for retiring, but if he wants to go like a champion, he should just tweak his public personality a little and stay healthy while his enemies sink into the quagmire they've made.

The Next Phase Of The War
[TheZMan] Very bad people back in the cultural revolution of the 1960’s noticed that radicals were very good at the first phase of their project, but not the second. The radicals wanted to knock down the institutions of society and replace them with something better, but they never managed to pull off that last part. In fact, the thing they cooked up as the new and improved version of what they destroyed tended to create new problems, which required new solutions that created new problems and so on and so on.

What this means is the next phase of the revolution shifts from attacking normal white people going about their business, to a fight between the rulers and their pets.
An obvious example of this is family life. The nuclear family, with clear and natural roles for the sexes, worked pretty well. The radicals, on the other hand, could not understand why divorce laws and custody laws were as they were. They could not understand why those sex roles existed. They smashed them up and replaced them with family courts, liberal divorce and weird feminist ideas about sex roles. The result has been three generations of family and social dysfunction.

At some point, even the radicals realized that their project was not the best for their cause, so they simply took over the existing institutions. The long march through the institutions was largely over by the 1990’s. The Baby Boomers had taken over and pushed out their parent’s generation. Along the way they made sure that their generation had the right opinions. Those who did not were cast into the outer darkness of dissident exile. The radicals were in charge.

Half of Republicans say Biden won because of a 'rigged' election: Reuters/Ipsos poll
(Reuters) - About half of all Republicans believe President Donald Trump "rightfully won" the U.S. election but that it was stolen from him by widespread voter fraud that favored Democratic President-elect Joe Biden, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll.

The Nov. 13-17 opinion poll showed that Trump’s open defiance of Biden’s victory in both the popular vote and Electoral College appears to be affecting the public’s confidence in American democracy, especially among Republicans.

Altogether, 73% of those polled agreed that Biden won the election while 5% thought Trump won. But when asked specifically whether Biden had "rightfully won," Republicans showed they were suspicious about how Biden’s victory was obtained.

Fifty-two percent of Republicans said that Trump "rightfully won," while only 29% said that Biden had rightfully won.

Newly Elected Indiana GOP Rep Grew Up in Soviet Union Gives Stark Warning About Socialism
[Fed Papers] It’s an immigrant’s story, with a message every American should hear.

As a native of Eastern Europe, Victoria Spartz has seen life under socialism up close and knows the damage it can do.

As a newly elected American congresswoman, she’s in a position to stop it from destroying the United States.

Spartz was the underdog winner of a race in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District to replace the retiring Rep. Susan Brooks.

"I grew up in a socialistic country," Spartz told co-host Ainsley Earhardt.

"I grew up in socialism. I saw what happens when it runs out of money, and it’s not pretty."

Born in 1978 in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, a member state of the former Soviet Union, she came to the United States in 2000 and became a citizen in 2006, according to the Indianapolis Star. Her personal past became part of her politics.

"I was born in a country that doesn’t exist anymore, for good reason," Spartz told the Star in an August interview. "Unfortunately, there are a lot of socialistic trends in our country, and it breaks my heart, because that’s not what makes our country the greatest in the world."

And in an interview Monday morning on Fox News’ "Fox & Friends," the Ukraine native explained why she got into politics in her adopted country.

Gavin Newsom Manufactures a COVID Crisis to Make California Miserable Again
[American Thinker] Fresh on the heels of the Sacramento Bee's criticism of Gavin Newsom's multi-family extravaganza at the famous French Laundry, a swanky $350-a-person-before-the-wine-is-ordered restaurant in Yountville, California, and after having his wrist slapped by the state Judiciary for exceeding his constitutional authority in issuing emergency lockdown orders, he's decided that he really doesn't care what the plebs of his state think or what the law says about his executive limitations.

He's locking the state down again. The reason, as he and the media would have you believe, is that California is experiencing a surge in positive COVID-19 tests, having just crossed the one million mark in cases. You're supposed to focus on that big, scary number and not Gavin Newsom's blatant hypocrisy or his unlawful executive overreach, and certainly not the many questions swirling about the looming prospect of the Trump legal team's potentially exposing massive election fraud, which could have an enormous impact on the future of our republic. Nope, cases are rising, and we're at a million in California, so it's time to pull the "emergency brake" and make California miserable again.

The recent surge in cases might serve as pretty convincing evidence that the stupid rags we've been forced to wear over our faces for the past months don't actually do anything to prevent the spread of COVID. It certainly doesn't suggest that there's any legitimate reason for another lockdown in California.

This is a totally manufactured crisis, and we can prove it with basic information that anyone can find.

As of November 15, California has a seven-day rolling average of 8,484 new cases per day. That's not the peak for the year, mind you. We saw an average of 9,561 back on July 24.

FACT: THE C-19 IS A VIRUS,
that infects and pretty much acts like a Flu Virus in its infection path and rate.

CDC data shows: the flu's infection rate starts builts during colder months & colder areas. Then the flu peaks as early Spring and as warming weather arrives.

FACT: The C-19 started sometime in Nov 2019. According to CDC data it Peaked the week of April 18th, 2020. Then steadily started declining until colder months arrived in later OCT 2020.

QUESTION:

So why is the CDC that tracks C-19 infections, still rolling over a previous seasonal numbers?

Why doesn't the CDC use the same historically used "SEASONAL" recording process? Instead of using running misleading totals that have been rolling over since Nov. 2019? Otherwise in few years the numbers will likely show 50% of the USA was infected and a misleading mortality number when applied to the US Population.

eg. If we rolled over the FLU numbers for each year. We would have roughly 266.3 Million infected and 2.65M million "claimed" deaths

NOTE: Every new serious flu strain in its 1st season has had similar infection percentages and morality rates for infected persons with underlying medical issues, just as the C-19 has had.

Then a Vaccine is developed and season 2 infections dropped drastically and normal life resumed.

Elections Security Expert Finds Michigan Results a Complete Fraud ‐ Current Machines Do Not Have Capability to Count the Mass Dumps for Biden in Reported Time Period (VIDEO)
[Gateway] LIVE-STREAM VIDEO... Breaking the Code: Exposing the 2020 Election Fraud with Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, Joe Hoft and Jim Hoft from Gateway Pundit

Russ Ramsland, of the Allied Security Operations Group, joined Lou Dobbs on Tuesday night to discuss the Michigan presidential election.

Russ Ramsland: We have been out looking mostly at Michigan. We are beginning on turning our sights on Pennsylvania and Georgia. The things you find in Michigan are amazing. There are over 3,000 precincts where the presidential votes cast compared to the estimated voters from the SOS (Secretary of State) is 99% all the way up to 350%. Those kind of numbers don’t exist in the real world. So where did all those votes come from? And looking at that, we’ve gone back and looked at some of these huge vote dumps that were mostly Biden’s. We call them spikes. We’ve gone back and traced the spikes. We’ve seen where they were cast, primarily in four counties. We looked at how long it took to cast those votes. And we looked at the equipment that exists at all of those locations by serial number. And the fact of the matter is we can’t see any physical way possible for some of those votes to have been in those kind of numbers because they just don’t have the equipment that can produce it in that timing.

#3  A rant, as demanded by this unbelievable circus:

It's one thing to lose to someone whose character and views you find repugnant. If the people prefer a Jimmy Carter or a Barry Soetoro to a Jerry Ford or a McCain or Romney, then you accept the people's choice, congratulate him on his win, analyze what you did wrong and figure out how to do better next time. That's the American way.

But rigged presidential elections are not in any way part of our traditions. Corrupt urban machines, sure. Boss Tweed and the Chicago mayor they called the Boss, plenty of them. But even in 1960 the presidential vote-rigging wasn't widespread enough for Nixon to demand a do-over. In 2000, even Gore accepted the outcome as valid. Ties happen and when they do tie breakers are needed.

This was not a tie. This wasn't a case of a few ballots stuffed in one corrupt urban county. This was a complete debacle.

We are watching a continuing farce worthy of one of those innumerable third world or post-commie ex-USSR dictatorships that our own Jimmy Carter and State Department correctly judge to be brutal and illegitimate.

- Absentee-ballot fraud on a mass scale: check
- Coordinated media blackouts, lies, disinformation: check
- Watchdogs hampering the election observers: check
- Nonsensical rulings from biased judges: check
- Garbage software and clownish voting machines, easily manipulated by low level admins to switch votes to a preferred candidate: check
- Magical local results ensuring the desired winner miraculously comes from behind and wins after midnight on the day of the election: check

Most disturbing of all is the actual and threatened political violence by one side's supporters. (We saw that once...in Kansas, just before the First American Civil War.)

If all of the above render an election in Bumfahkistan invalid and not worthy of recognition by our own diplomats and former presidents, why should we Americans accept this bumfuckery when it's perpetrated on our own soil?

If we refuse to discard this sick farce, how can we still look ourselves in the mirror and claim to be Americans?
