Target Launches New Kids' Clothing Line With Partner Ghislaine Maxwell
[BEE] MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Target has unveiled a tropical summer line of kids' clothing with new design partner Ghislaine Maxwell.

"Ghislaine Maxwell really embodies the spirit of what we stand for here at Target," said Target CEO Brian Cornell. "It's a match made in Heaven."

According to sources, the new clothing line will be called "Lil' Groomers" and should hit shelves in June. "We can't wait for Ms. Maxwell's brand to get its hands on kids," said Target fashion consultant Cassie Winslow. "The clothing line will be island-themed, but upscale and exclusive. Ms. Maxwell really has an amazing eye for what looks good on kids."

Target reportedly contacted the incarcerated Ms. Maxwell after an extensive search for new Pride Month designers with experience in affirming children's sexuality. "Ms. Maxwell has a rock-solid history of being incredibly affirming," said CEO Brian Cornell. "You would be hard pressed to find anyone else who has done more to help young kids express themselves sexually. We are so incredibly proud to have Ms. Maxwell continue that incredible legacy right here at Target."

At publishing time, conservatives calling to boycott Target over its partnership with Ms. Maxwell were declared terrorists and added to the FBI's watch list.

Target loses $10B in 10 days as stocks fall following boycott over LGBTQ-friendly kids clothing
[NY Post] Target has lost $10 billion in market valuation over the last 10 days as the popular retailer continues to face backlash over its Pride-themed clothing line for children.

A week ago Wednesday, Target enjoyed its stock value at $160.96 a share, but following the calls to boycott the Minneapolis-based retailer over its "PRIDE" collection, the value plummeted and closed Friday at $138.93 a share.

The nearly 14% drop in value for the blue chip stock roughly translates to a $10.1 billion loss in valuation to just $64.2 billion for Target, which has nearly 2,000 stores nationwide.

The plummet stands as the retailer’s lowest stock price in nearly three years. The last time the company saw a drop nearly this big came in 2022 after the stocks equalized following an unprecedented surge during the COVID pandemic.

Target, which has been caught in the middle of America’s culture wars over gender, moved its Pride section in some Southern stores away from the front last week after it said displays were knocked over by protesters, who also confronted workers.

The retailer also said it would remove items from the collection, but did not specify which ones. Among the ones that garnered the most attention were "tuck-friendly" women’s swimsuits that allow trans women who have not had gender-affirming operations to conceal their genitalia, as well as rainbow-themed children’s clothing.

While many have likened the conservative boycott against Target to that of Bud Light — which saw sales crash after partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz doubted the backlash against the retailer would be as impactful.

Speaking on his podcast Friday, the Republican said that while multiple alternatives exist to replace Anheuser-Busch’s brands, the same is not so for Target.

#5  When blacks rioted and burned their outlets, they asked themselves why are they so upset and pander to their whims. When whites are boycotting their product they're simply dismissed as knuckle dragging bigoted troglodytes. The natives are agitated. If upper management doesn't quickly get a very serious 'head and spacing' adjustment they will inherent the wind. Tossing 30% of your market to appeal to 8 or .7% isn't good business.

Somebody, somewhere is sure spending an awful lot of multilayered resources on pushing this crap. This isn't the acceptance of mental illness or tolerance. This goes beyond championing or even celebrating this malignant sickness as well.

This is getting to be the storm troopers emptying every store and cafe out so the people can 'spontaneously' heil in the streets as the occupying force marches in.

I have a couple of coffee cans full of old fasteners. Both slotted screws and phillips head. The cans were family 'pass-downs' and many are 60+ years old. The screws were made with good quality steel and will generally not strip out if you use the correct sized tool, get a straight grip and seat on them.

Not so with the stuff you buy today. You know where it's manufactured, and you know how easily they strip out. I think the old US fastener companies are all gone now.

Wood and sheet metals screws, yes a small thing, but indicative of everything else I guess. Very sad in my opinion.

Ain't that the truth.

Been watching Band of Brothers, and it is so full of commercials it would be over if played straight and just finished Bastogne.

Interestingly, about 3/4 of the commercials are in a way direct competition to Target - home shopping options and food delivery.

One of the few remaining reasons somebody would want to go to the store would be to make sure clothing fits, and they just shit all over that.

Think we are past the point when stock decline could be due to solely looting. Sorry, "Declining Profit Margins."

'I consider the heroes the ones that gave their lives': 101-year-old veteran is the final known survivor of Pearl Harbor's USS Arizona
[BLAZE] Navy veteran Lou Conter, who is now 101 years old, is the final known survivor of the USS Arizona, a ship that Japan bombed during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, according to the Wall Street Journal. He was only 20 at the time.

"I consider the heroes the ones that gave their lives, that never came home to their families," Conter said, according to the outlet. "They're the real heroes."

Since Ken Potts passed away last month at the age of 102, Conter is the final known USS Arizona survivor, the outlet noted.

Conter assisted in getting others out of the vessel. "As we guided these men to safety, more often than not, their burned skin would come off on our hands," he noted in his book, "The Lou Conter Story," according to the Journal.

Jane Fonda blames 'White men' for climate crisis, calls to 'arrest and jail' them
[FOX] Jane Fonda blamed men — and racism — for climate change during a conversation at this year's Cannes Film Festival, arguing that without the patriarchy, the crisis allegedly of epic proportions would cease to exist.

"This is serious," she said Saturday. "We’ve got about seven, eight years to cut ourselves in half of what we use of fossil fuels, and unfortunately, the people that have the least responsibility for it are hit the hardest — Global South, people on islands, poor people of color. It is a tragedy that we have to absolutely stop. We have to arrest and jail those men — they’re all men [behind this]."

#10  Throughout history all men, including white men, have done just about everything they do because of women. It's that sex drive thing. Men are driven to impress women, to provide all of their needs and wants just so they'll be comfortable enough to share their beds with us. Hasn't Hanoi Jane ever ridden in a car? Flown in an airplane? Enjoyed the comforts of air conditioning? Eaten food that was cooked with gas? Of course she has. Would she be willing to forgo those comforts? Hell no. Even Hanoi Jane has had white men under her influence, although I cannot imagine any self respecting man of any color having anything to do with her.

#11  [Wiki]"In a 2018 interview, Fonda stated that up to age 62, she always felt she had to seek the validation of men in order to prove to herself that she had value as a person, something she attributes to her mother's early death leaving her without a female role model."

Empty, shallow caricature of a human being. It's always somebody else at fault never Jane Fonda.

India official suspended after draining reservoir to retrieve lost phone
[NY Post] A government official in India has been suspended after he ordered an entire reservoir be drained so he could retrieve his phone that he had dropped in the water while snapping a selfie.

Rajesh Vishwas, a food inspector, dropped his $1,200 Samsung phone into Kherkatta Dam in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh on Sunday, according to the BBC.

Vishwas claimed that the phone held sensitive government information and deployed local divers to help find it, Indian news outlets reported.

When the divers failed to find the phone, he paid for a diesel pump to be brought in to remove the water, Vishwas is quoted as saying to local media.

The food inspector claimed he had verbal permission from an official to drain "some water into a nearby canal." He said that he was told the move "would in fact benefit the farmers who would have more water".

For three days, the pumps ran and emptied 440,000 gallons of water — which is reportedly enough to irrigate nearly 1500 acres of farmland.

In #Chhattisgarh, an officer's I-phone fell into a dam reservoir. Two pumps of 30 horsepower, ran 24 hrs, and pumped out-hold your breath- 21 lakh litres of #water, this water could have irrigated 1,500 acres of land, & this is when "there is severe shortage of water i the area ! pic.twitter.com/vBSol7EafS

-Land of the Free
Bury Me With Soldiers
BURY ME WITH SOLDIERS

By the Rev. Charles R. Fink

Father Charles R. Fink, a Roman Catholic Priest of St. Philip Neri’s Church in Northport NY., served in Vietnam from March 1969 to March 1970 as a Sergeant in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade.

I’ve played a lot of roles in life;
I’ve met a lot of men.
I’ve done some things I’d like to think
I wouldn’t do again
And though I’m young, I’m old enough
To know someday I’ll die.
And think about what lies beyond, And
Besides whom I would lie.

Perhaps it doesn’t matter much;
Still, if I had my choice,
I’d want a grave amongst soldiers when
At last death quells my voice
I’m sick of the hypocrisy
Of lectures by the wise
I’ll take the man with all his flaws
Who goes, though scared, and dies.

The troops I know were commonplace;
They didn’t want the war
They fought because their fathers and
Their father’s fathers had before.
They cursed and killed and wept —
God knows they’re easy to deride —
But bury me with men like these;
They faced the guns and died.

It’s funny when you think of it,
The way we got along.
We’d come from different worlds
To live in one, where no one belongs
I didn’t even like them all and,
I’m sure they’d all agree.
Yet, I would give my life for them,
I hope. Some would for me.

So bury me with soldiers, please
Though much maligned they be
Yes, bury me with soldiers, for
I miss their company.
We will not soon see their like again
We’ve had our fill of war.
But, bury me with men like them

Till someone else does more!

State Farm halts new home insurance policies in California
How bad have things gotten in California? If you are somehow doing well enough to be able to afford to buy a new home there, you may not be able to get homeowner’s insurance. Or at least not from State Farm. The insurance giant announced yesterday that it will not be offering new homeowner insurance policies in the state, though they will continue to honor existing policies. The company is citing a variety of reasons including "catastrophic events" and skyrocketing construction costs. But I’m confident that we can all read between the lines and figure out that there is more to the story than that. (CBS News)
Where is the Good Neighbor?
State Farm said it will no longer accept new applications for home and business insurance in California because of an increase in catastrophic events and construction costs, the company announced Friday.
"State Farm General Insurance Company made this decision due to historic increases in construction costs outpacing inflation, rapidly growing catastrophe exposure, and a challenging reinsurance market," the insurance company said in a statement.
The new guideline took effect Saturday and includes all business and personal lines property and casualty insurance.

'Alternativa' announced the release of a person from labor slavery in Dagestan
Driect Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Sergei Busygin was forced to work for free at a brick factory near Kaspiysk for several years, the Alternativa movement reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the "Alternative" anti-slavery movement has repeatedly reported cases of people being freed from labor slavery in the North Caucasus and South Federal Districts. So, in May 2022, Alternativa announced the rescue from labor slavery of a resident of Budyonnovsk, who was forcibly kept on a farm in the Stavropol Territory.

"Recruiters" are looking for potential employees at the railway stations of Moscow, Saratov and other large cities, most often the victims of slave traders are people from the provinces who come to large cities to earn money, says the "Caucasian Knot" report "Slavery in the North Caucasus."

Sergei Busygin, born in 1966, ended up in labor slavery in Dagestan, the Alternativa movement reported on the evening of May 27.

"Unfortunately, the story of a man is a typical case of falling into labor slavery. In 2016, a man was recruited on the square of three railway stations in Moscow. Sergei was offered a job, promised good conditions, to which he agreed. As a result, Sergei ended up at a brick factory nearby from the city of Kaspiysk, Republic of Dagestan," the publication on the movement's telegram channel says.

After 2018, the "employment structure" of slaves in Dagestan changed: if earlier they mainly worked at brick factories , now they work at agricultural enterprises, Oleg Melnikov, head of the "Alternative" told the "Caucasian Knot" in October 2021. "The number of handicraft enterprises, primarily brick factories, has decreased in Dagestan, the federal authorities are trying to restore order in this area," he said.

Sergey Busygin worked at the brick factory for several years. “According to Sergei, his documents were taken away from him almost immediately, his salary was not paid, but instead he was forced to work off a debt that arose on its own, he was periodically beaten, and in order to avoid thoughts of escaping, he was threatened with connections in law enforcement agencies. Conditions work and living there were so terrible that Sergei received frostbite on his legs. After that, he ended up in the hospital, where his fingers were amputated," the activists said.

The movement was informed about the situation of Sergey Busygin by a volunteer who learned about his stay in the hospital. “Now Sergey is completely safe and everything is fine with him. After the process of restoring documents is completed, we will send Sergey to a shelter where he can stay for as long as he needs to fully recover,” the publication says.

A new volunteer in the North Caucasus played a key role in Busygin's release, Alternativa's coordinator Alexei Nikitin said. “Now he is helping Sergei restore his documents, he even tried to return his passport from the owner of the brick factory, but was expectedly refused. Now the man remains in the hospital, in the narcological department, but not because he has problems with addictions, they just accepted him there and could leave him for time, like in a shelter," Kavkaz.Realii quotes him today*.

Recall that labor slavery is a problem characteristic of all of Russia , including in the south of the country, Oleg Melnikov said in May 2019. "In Kalmykia, we met about 20 such cases, in Dagestan - a little more, in Chechnya - a little less, in Ingushetia there were 5-7 cases, in the Krasnodar Territory - about 40, in the Rostov Region - somewhere around 20-30," he said.

Help to get out of labor slavery is possible only for those  who themselves declare that they are a forced laborer, Oleg Melnikov said in January 2020, after the release of three people in Dagestan. There are criminal articles for slave labor, but they practically do not work, then the lawyer Abusupyan Gaitaev confirmed.

Alberta heads to the polls with Canada's green agenda in balance

[Yahoo] Alberta heads to the polls with Canada's green agenda in balance

Voters in Canada's main oil-producing province Alberta headed to the polls on Monday in a tight election race that is expected to have a significant bearing on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's climate goals, which are already seen as lagging global peers.

The battle between populist Premier Danielle Smith's United Conservative Party (UCP), which is seeking a second consecutive term, and Rachel Notley's left-leaning New Democratic Party (NDP) is expected to be extremely close, pollsters say, even though Alberta is traditionally a conservative bastion.

The result could reshape Trudeau's climate agenda if the UCP wins, making it harder for Canada to meet its goal of cutting emissions 40-45% below 2005 levels by the end of this decade.

Smith is opposed to many of Trudeau's policies including an oil and gas emissions cap and a net-zero electricity grid by 2035, arguing they will hurt an energy sector that contributes more than 20% to Alberta's GDP.

Notley's NDP, which ruled from 2015 to 2019 after a shock election victory that ended decades of conservative rule in the province, is seen as more amenable to Liberal plans to rapidly cut emissions, although it also opposes the oil and gas emissions cap.

Alberta is Canada's highest-emitting province, largely due to vast oil sands operations in the northern boreal forest and produces 80% of the country's 4.9 million barrels per day of crude oil....

The next government is expected to consider new financial supports for carbon capture and storage, a key strategy to curb Alberta's emissions from oil and gas and other industrial production.

The latest survey from polling firm Leger shows the right-wing UCP slightly ahead province-wide, backed by 49% of decided voters versus 46% for NDP. However, the NDP holds a modest lead in Alberta's corporate oil capital Calgary, a key battleground where a number of seats could go to either party, according to a poll from ThinkHQ Public Affairs.

The winning party must take 44 seats out of 87 electoral districts to control a majority of seats in the legislature....

Polls are open until 8 p.m. local time and the result is expected to be called late Monday night. Voters cast more than 758,000 ballots in advance, breaking a record, Global News reported.

A victory for Smith would cement a rightward shift in the province. Since becoming UCP leader in October, Smith has pushed back against perceived federal government over-reach and passed the Alberta Sovereignty Act that gives the province the power to ignore federal laws it deems unconstitutional.

She has also been dogged by a string of controversies largely related to her opposition to COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Government Corruption
New Evidence - Maricopa County Elections Officials Illegally Break into Sealed Election Machines after they were Certified and Before the Election – Inserting Reprogrammed Memory Cards
[Gateway] A new video exposes Maricopa County’s secret machine tampering, where they reprogrammed the voting machines on October 14th, 17th, and 18th so that 59% of them would fail when Republican voters came in to vote on Election Day in 2022.

As The Gateway Pundit recently reported, newly available records show that Maricopa County began "secret" Logic and Accuracy testing on October 14th, after the statutorily required October 11th test, and the legally required public notice was not given.

This is a smoking gun in Kari Lake’s stolen election contest. Lake attorney Kurt Olsen concluded that "this evidence would support our allegation that this election was rigged."

#2  Voting materials should be handled like criminal evidence. If there is no clear records of transfer and or the appearance of tampering, the 'evidence' is considered compromised and thrown out.

My reading of the Constitution says clearly the legislative branch determines how electors are chosen. On that one point, the legislative branch can dictate that votes for electors must be done on paper. The governors and judges can argue about all the others, but that one point is their power alone.

#3  How is this a conspiracy theory? These aren’t grainy pictures of a cryptid moving through a tree scape at sniper distance. Maricopa County is on video doing what they claim not to have done and it matches the electronic maintenance log of the devices. Hobbs certified that the testing was done three days before this was done.

#8  They don't call it software for nothing. It's like clay in the hands of a potter. It can be reprogrammed any time to do anything the programmer wants it to do. It doesn't matter if or when it was "certified" because it can be changed in the wink of an eye as soon as the certification is finished. We will always have legitimate doubts about election integrity as long as computerized voting machines are used in the place of paper ballots. Take it from a former computer programmer: Changing one or two bytes is all it would take to change the outcome of an election.

The Supreme Court Just Voted Unanimously To Rein In Biden's EPA
[Daily Caller] In a unanimous vote, the Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the EPA had overstepped its authority with its attempt to massively expand its regulatory scope under the Clean Water Act.

The Court unanimously ruled for the plaintiffs in the case, styled Sackett v. EPA, who had challenged the agency’s ruling they could not make productive use of property they purchased decades ago using a rationale that would vastly expand the law’s original intent. As written, the Clean Water Act allows EPA to regulate the "navigable waters of the United States," a term that had, prior to the agency’s overreach in the Sackett case, been held to mean a body of water that could be navigated by a vessel.

For the last 17 years, the Sackett family has been entangled with the agency over some patches of sporadic wetlands that appear on their property during rainy seasons, which the EPA wishes to regulate under this "navigable body of water" clause. Writing for the majority in a more narrowly-divided concurring decision that will now govern the specific allowable interpretation of the law, Justice Samuel Alito holds that only wetlands that are "indistinguishable" from larger nearby bodies of water can be regulated under the Clean Water Act.

"Wetlands that are separate from traditional navigable waters cannot be considered part of those waters, even if they are located nearby," Alito wrote.

The final dispensation of this case should help to resolve a long-running battle of writing, rescinding and re-writing of "Waters of the United States" regulations that go back to the George W. Bush administration. The EPA started the process of drafting such a regulation in the 2007/08 time frame, but it was never formally proposed under the Administrative Procedures Act which governs the federal regulatory process.

Medicaid Physicians Were Bribed to Coerce Parents Into COVID-19 Vaccination
BLUF:
[PJ] This is reason #1,623 that the U.S. government cannot be trusted to administer a universal healthcare system ethically. While it’s inarguably the case that the current public-private-hybrid U.S. healthcare system is broken, based on outcomes, the solution to simply put the federal government in charge of everything is wrought with moral hazards.
Few surprises are likely found here.
Continuing:
As you continue to help guide patients toward COVID-19 vaccination, your practice will receive $50 per Anthem member 6 months of age and older vaccinated by December 31, 2022. When you will receive your bonus You will receive payment on or before January 31, 2023. This will include payment for Anthem members enrolled in Medicaid 6 months to 4 years of age and ages 12 and older vaccinated between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022, and Anthem members enrolled in Medicaid ages 5 to11 vaccinated from June 2022 through December 31, 2022.

Bribing doctors (with taxpayer money) to coerce their patients into getting injected with an experimental mRNA therapy (the manufacturers of which, by the way, are immune from liability for any collateral damage) is totally unethical behavior. It should be criminal.

#8  My personal thoughts: There's no way any add-on box can prevent all possible damage to all possible pieces of gear. The only way to know if the product would actually work for your application would be an actual test, which of course is out of the question.

That said, if you are willing to devote the resources to hardening say a room in the corner of a basement, you'd probably have a pretty good chance of having the stuff stored there still work afterwards. Then the issue is, how long do your batteries last? Will the grid recover soon if at all? Will there be any radio stations operating at all, and will any radio station help you survive?

If it fails in an actual EMP situation, your problems will be much bigger than filing a consumer lawsuit.

M. Murcek, well put, sir. A couple of thoughts here:

*Keep in mind unless you're in a fairly rural area, there won't be any radio stations, AM or FM, broadcasting, even if they somehow escape the pulse - most urban area stations now rely on satellite feeds, and those will be gone in the opening seconds.
*A friend of mine who worked as a strategic analyst asked this question about an EMP attack and the Smuggled Nuke Option: If it was so easy to accomplish, why hasn't anybody tried? This is not to say that there isn't a threat, far from it. But it is much more likely that the effects of EMP would be much more localized to the area of the detonation, and that to pull off a truly effective EMP strike, it might require so many weapons as to be indistinguishable from a first strike anyways.

This would result in a ground blast that would destroy anything that the EMP might touch. EMP wants to detonate at high altitude, preferable in space.
