Multiple helicopters were broken into and one was operated before crashing on Wednesday morning at the Sacramento Executive Airport, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Police say that they received several reports of multiple helicopters being broken into early Wednesday morning.
Officers that responded found a helicopter with major damage that “appeared to have been operated,” police said in a statement.
The damaged helicopter was left on its side and is a Bell 429 model, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
A further investigation showed that when the helicopter crashed it also damaged several other helicopters.
No suspect in custody, so police are looking for a doubly lucky dumbass…

The suspect was charged as a juvenile with aggravated harassment, assault, harassment and menacing in connection to the disturbing Friday rush-hour attack in Washington Heights, footage of which began circulating online Monday, cops said.
Two suspects are still on the loose — including a young woman who can be seen in the video pulling the victim off a northbound A train at the 181st Street-Fort Washington Avenue station and screaming, "Get off!"
The video, posted to Instagram, shows the woman keeping a grip on the boy’s shirt, pulling him down the busy rush-hour platform and repeatedly yelling, "Walk! Walk!"
A male voice can then be heard chanting the N-word followed by "alert."
The teen, who has autism, is shown trying to get back on the train, but the woman drags him off again before someone else socks him in the face — the first of many punches the group throws at him, the clip shows.
The victim’s glasses are yanked from his face, and he throws a few jabs to defend himself as someone yells, "Fight back!"
The teen suffered a cut on his lip, pain in his body and his glasses were broken during the attack, cops said.
He did not know his assailants, according to the NYPD, which said the Hate Crime Task Force was notified because of the anti-black slur that was used.

[NYPOST] The gunman who allegedly shot a 17-year-old boy near his Upper West Side high school — sparking a burst of gun violence in possible retaliation — has been charged with attempted murder, cops said Wednesday.
Cheick Coulibaly, 19, was busted a short time after the shooting that erupted around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 68th Street, police said.
Coulibaly — who was out on bail in a 2021 armed robbery case — allegedly shot the young victim several times in the torso, cops said. The teen had to undergo surgery but was expected to survive.
The bloodshed stemmed from a dispute that began two blocks north, involving four or five teenage boys, authorities said.
After being shot, the victim staggered to his school, the Maxine Greene High School for Imaginative Inquiry, police said. That school, in addition to nearby LaGuardia High School of Music, was placed on lockdown after the shooting.

[Yahoo] Texas officials on Wednesday announced a state takeover of Houston's nearly 200,000-student public school district, the eighth-largest in the country, acting on years of threats and angering Democrats who assailed the move as political.
The announcement, made by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott's education commissioner, Mike Morath, amounts to one of the largest school takeovers ever in the U.S. It also deepens a high-stakes rift between Texas' largest city, where Democrats wield control, and state Republican leaders, who have sought increased authority following election fumbles and COVID-19 restrictions.
The takeover is the latest example of Republican and predominately white state officials pushing to take control of actions in heavily minority and Democratic-led cities. They include St. Louis and Jackson, Mississippi, where the Legislature is pushing to take over the water system and for an expanded role for state police and appointed judges.

If you do nothing, they complain that you don’t care. If you do something, they complain that you are heavy handed racists. Certainly, there are majority white schools that also underperform. Generally, those failures occur in smaller communities in the hinterlands and are not on the same scale. Hopefully, they have a better plan than the Bush Administration did for Iraq.

You can pitch it as Repubs vs Dems, but this is not a new problem. A couple decades back, a buddy picked up his family and moved from Houston to Pearland, just south of the city, to get away from the Houston Independent School District. I doubt he was the only one.

The only solution is the one Paps Mundi came up with: the fathers get inolved and coach these boys - usually throught sports. But dads have been exorcised from society and that the moms have been shown to be "lacking" in the area of masculinity. It's almost like this was the plan.

[Breitbart] Chinese dictator Xi Jinping vowed in a speech at the conclusion of China’s annual legislative sessions on Monday that the Communist Party would seek a more prominent role on the world stage pursuing the “reform and construction of the global governance system.”
China under his third tenure as president – to which he was unanimously “elected” by the National People’s Congress (NPC), the federal-level legislature, last week – Xi said, would work to “create a favorable international environment for our country’s development.”
Xi was speaking at the conclusion of the “two sessions” of the NPC and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which meet annually to draft new laws for the country. The Communist Party completely dominates both bodies and blocks any diversity of opinion; the Party typically prepares a slate or policy topics to address prior to the meeting.
Xi used his concluding speech to the NPC on Monday to celebrate China’s expanding global influence and promise that he would dedicate his efforts in the next year to reshaping the world to look more like China. Xi did not spend significant time on the problems facing Chinese people at home, according to reports in both Chinese state propaganda and international media, such as the collapse of the nation’s birthrate, its stalling economy, crippling shortages of basic medicines, and international corporations moving business to neighboring countries such as Vietnam and India.
“We will be dedicated to peace, development, cooperation, and mutual benefit, stand firmly on the right side of history, practice true multilateralism, and uphold the shared values of humanity,” the Chinese state-run Global Times newspaper quoted Xi as saying on Monday.
“The Chinese president said that China will play an active part in the reform and development of the global governance system,” the Global Times shared, “contribute its share to building an open world economy, advance the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, add more stability and positive energy to the peaceful development of the world.”
The “Global Development Initiative” and “Global Security Initiative” are vague proposals spearheaded by Xi in which China pressures other countries to abandon the “excessive pursuit of self-interest” and instead pool their resources to allegedly promote world peace and eradication of poverty. The “Global Security Initiative” is of particular concern to free countries as it does not appear to contain any concrete demands for action outside of failing to oppose the Chinese Communist Party’s interests. In debuting the initiative in April 2022, Xi said partners in the project must “stay committed to taking the legitimate security concerns of all countries seriously, uphold the principle of indivisible security, build a balanced, effective and sustainable security architecture,” as well as “oppose the pursuit of one’s own security at the cost of others’ security.”
The Chinese government has not at press time elaborated beyond the lofty goals of the initiative initially proposed by Xi.
Elsewhere in his remarks on Monday, Xi promised that China would inject “positive energy to world peace and development and create a favorable international environment for our country’s development.”
While emphasizing an alleged commitment to world peace, Xi also commended the NPC for increasing the Chinese defense budget by 7.2 percent during this month’s meeting, the largest increase since the novel coronavirus pandemic began in Wuhan, China, in late 2019. Xi insisted China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) should be equipped to serve as a “great wall of steel” against foreign influence.
