Afghanistan
Noor Claims He Is Ready To Fight Insurgents In The North
[Tolo News] Balkh acting governor Atta Mohammad Noor announced on Thursday that he is prepared to launch a decisive military operation against Lion of Islam groups operating in the country's northern regions if President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
gives him the go ahead.

Amid the growing spate of security threats in Afghanistan's northern provinces, Noor has reiterated his determination to rid the region of anti-government turbans.

In a statement issued by Noor, he said he was ready to lead such an operation.

"If the president, commander of the armed services, chief executive, minister of defense and minister of interior assign me the task and give me permission, with joint cooperation we are determined to clean our neighboring provinces in the north from the existence of Lion of Islams," Noor said.

Noor has in the past been a strong critic of government, especially in terms of fighting Death Eaters in the northern provinces.

On Thursday he also said that he will lead a public uprising against the holy warriors if the central government does not take the necessary measures to rid the region of the Lion of Islams.

Noor, who has been dressed in military uniform for the past two weeks, has conducted his own assessment tour of Kaldar, Shotepa, Sholgarah, Zare and Chahar Bolak districts in Balkh. These are key areas where Death Eaters are operating.

However Noor believes that holy warriors do not have the ability to confront Afghan National Security Forces ANSF face to face in the battle field.

Following the collapse of the Taliban regime back in late 2001, Noor commanded the first army corps in the north before being appointed governor in 2004. But after just over 10 years, Noor is once again in military uniform.

"We want to reiterate our commitment to the Afghan cops that we stay alongside them under any circumstance, secondly we want to convey a message to our soldiers and officers that there was no difference between the blood of a governor, a minister and so on," he said.

"However,
denial ain't just a river in Egypt...
in some way we are involved in politics on a national level and maintain our influence and power in various provinces, but one thing is clear that our blood is not superior to that of our soldiers' blood - soldiers who fight to safeguard our national illusory sovereignty, religious principles, values of Jihad and the constitution and most importantly to safeguard our peace," he added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the hoedown, the fiddler suddenly struck a sour note. The dancing stopped abruptly. Everyone looked at Bob...
some tribal elders in Chahar Bolak district have vowed to side with Noor on this issue in the hope of eliminating the turbans.

"The armed opposition is using different tactics to destabilize the northern provinces and to undermine security in order to prove their existence," a tribal elder from Chahar Bolak district Zalmai said.

Noor in the past questioned the signing of the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) between Afghanistan and the United States. The agreement - allowing a limited number of US forces to stay on in Afghanistan post-2014 -- would not yield positive results in terms of the nation's security, he said.

Tunisian court annuls confiscation of ousted president's assets
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] A Tunisian court has annulled a 2011 decree confiscating the assets of ousted president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and his inner circle after an appeal from the Ben Ali family, infuriating the government.

In the months following Ben Ali's flight to Saudi Arabia after the revolution that ousted him in January 2011, Tunisia seized hundreds of businesses, properties, luxury cars and jewelry from members of Ben Ali's family.

The value of the confiscated property amounted to billions of dollars. Some assets were sold off at the end of 2012.

"The decision was issued to annul the decree confiscating the assets of 114 members and aides of the Ben Ali family and of his wife Leila Trabelsi," Minister of State Property and Land Affairs Hatem Eleuchi said on Wednesday.

"It's a shocking decision, and we hope the court will take the right decision when it comes to the appeal."

A judicial source said the court had been hearing an appeal by Trabelsi's family. He did not give details of the ruling.

State corruption was one of the key triggers of the uprising against Ben Ali, who remains in exile in Saudi Arabia, where he fled with his close family after 23 years in power.

In several trials, Tunisian courts have convicted Ben Ali and his relatives in absentia on numerous counts of corruption, theft, or illegal possession of jewelry or large amounts of cash.

Egypt jails policeman 15 years over death of woman protester
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] An Egyptian court Thursday sentenced a policeman to 15 years in jail over the fatal shooting of a woman during a peaceful leftist rally, a court official said.

Shaima al-Sabbagh, a 34-year-old mother of a five-year-old, was struck by birdshot in January as police dispersed a small march on the fourth anniversary of the uprising that toppled president Hosni Mubarak
...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011...
Her death fired up the rubes in Egypt and abroad, and anger also spread after the officer was not charged with murder or manslaughter but with "battery that led to death" and "deliberately" wounding other protesters.

The trial, however, was the first time a policeman has been referred to trial in connection with the violent death of a protester since then army chief and now President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi ousted his Islamist predecessor Mohammed Morsi in 2013.

Princes Escape Saudi after Scud Missile Attacks
I'm sure al-Alam won't mind me lifting their graphic. Truly a frightening array of deadly-looking missiles. I believe that's actually a static display at some museum, hence the concrete launch pads. The ones in the front look like SA-6's, which were Soviet-era ground-to-air missiles held at division level. The two in the background are even older U.S. Nike-Hercules, which are distinguishable by the 4-barreled rocket motor. I'm not sure what the one in the middle background is; maybe a model if the Washington monument?

"The Saudi residents of Khamees al-Mushait are waiting in a several-kilometer-long trail of cars to flee after their city was hit by Yemeni Scud missiles," the Arabic-language Sa'ada Press news website reported.

The Riyadh-based Ahrar al-Hejaz news website also reported that many Saudi princes have fled to western countries, especially La Belle France and Britannia, after consecutive defeats of King Salman

A high-ranking Yemeni official underlined that firing missiles by Yemen

"The goal of targeting Saudi Arabia with Scud missiles was to warn Riyadh and we hope that it has grasped the meaning," Al-Mayadeen TV quoted the bigwig, who asked to remain anonymous, as saying on Sunday.

The source reiterated that the Yemeni army has many options that it can use against Saudi Arabia if the monarchy does not halt its attacks against the Sana'a government.

Macedonia detain 128 migrants hiding in five homes
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Macedonian police have detained 128 illegal migrants from Syria, Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries sheltering in five houses in a village near the border with Serbia, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.

Villagers had rented their houses to the migrants for 1,500 euros ($1,685) a month, ministry front man Vlado Kotevski said. He said four Macedonian nationals would be charged with people smuggling.

The early morning raid on the houses in Vaksince came a week after British Channel 4 TV broadcast a program in which it reported the migrants were being held there against their will.

Kotevski said the migrants had told Sherlocks they came to Vaksince via Greece of their

"None of them complained of being threatened or blackmailed," Kotevski told news hounds.

Migrants fleeing war, poverty and persecution in the Middle East and Africa are increasingly using the Balkans to reach Western Europe, as this route is deemed longer but safer than sailing across the Mediterranean, where thousands of migrants have died in rickety boats.

Separately to the Vaksince case, police in neighboring Serbia said on Thursday they had locked away

The Grand Turk
Turkey Takes Measures to Limit New Syria Refugee Influx
[AnNahar] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
on Thursday said it was taking measures to limit the flow of Syrian refugees onto its territory after an influx of thousands more over the last days due to fighting between Kurds and jihadists.

Under an "open-door" policy championed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
, Turkey has taken in 1.8 million Syrian refugees since the conflict in Syria erupted in 2011.

A Turkish official told AFP that in the last week 7,000 refugees had fled to Turkey to escape the fighting and another 6,600 had joined them since Wednesday.

Kurdish forces are currently locked in bitter festivities with Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS) jihadists for the area bordering Turkey.

Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus visited on Wednesday the Akcakale border crossing in southern Turkey, where the main influx has been concentrated.

"Turkey will not accept entries onto its territory from Syria except in case of a humanitarian tragedy," he said, quoted by local media.

However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
the Turkish official told AFP that these measures did not put in question Turkey's open door-policy towards Syrian refugees.

"The restrictions formulated by the local authorities are temporary and local," the official said.

Kurtulmus also reaffirmed the government's anger against EU countries that have only accepted a handful of refugees while Turkey has taken the lion's share of the burden.

"These states mobilize when just five refugees arrive at their borders but continue to be mere spectators at the efforts employed by Turkey," he said.

The Kurdish forces aim to wrest control of Tel Abyad -- opposite Akcakale -- in order to free up passage from Kobane, on the Turkish frontier, to Qamishli which is close to the Iraqi border.

Formerly an ally of Damascus, Ankara broke off its relationship with Syria's Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Terror of Aleppo ...
as a 2011 uprising escalated from peaceful demonstrations to a bloody civil war.

The Turkish government said in April it has spent almost $5.5 billion (4.8 billion euros) to provide for Syrian refugees.
And how much did the Turkish government spend to arm and otherwise aid the various Syrian rebel/jihadi groups firghting against the Assad regime?

Turkey's Erdogan says West backing Kurdish 'terrorists' in Syria
[ARABNEWS] Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan accused the West on Thursday of bombing Arabs and Turkmens in Syria while supporting Kurdish "terrorist" groups he said were filling the void left behind.

Foreign Ministry front man Tanju Bilgic said more than 13,000 people had entered The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
in the past week from Syria where moderate Syrian rebels and Kurdish forces have fought Daesh Death Eaters holding the Syrian town of Tel Abyad.

Turkey is uncomfortable with gains by Kurdish YPG militia in Syria, saying they have links with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which has fought a decades-long insurgency against the Turkish state. The PKK is considered a terrorist group by Ankara, the United States and European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...

The Kurdish issue has assumed an increased sensitivity since a Kurdish party won parliamentary seats in elections that stripped the ruling AK Party of its overall majority. The continuation of peace talks with the PKK could become an issue in coalition talks now under way.

Daesh
The PKK has carved out a role fighting Daesh, with its members helping to break a siege of the Syrian town of Kobani last autumn as a US-led coalition bombed the Islamist hard boys' positions.

"The West, which has shot Arabs and Turkmens, is unfortunately placing the PYD (the political wing of the YPG) and PKK in lieu of them," Erdogan said in a speech at the Ankara chamber of commerce.

Though a NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
member and US ally, Turkey has refused to take a frontline role in the US-led coalition against Daesh, nervous of Kurdish territorial gains and arguing only Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Trampler of Homs...
's fall can bring lasting peace.

Erdogan's comments may anger Turkey's Kurds, many of whom suspect Ankara has been backing hard boy Islamist factions in Syria against their brethren and were enraged by its refusal to intervene and stop a Daesh siege of Kobani.

"It's not true to say the YPG are gunnies because they haven't committed any terrorist actions against people in Syria. They are protecting Moslems, Christians, Jews," said Idris Nassan, an official in the Kobani canton.

Thousands of people have fled from Syria into Turkey in recent days to escape advances by YPG forces as well as aerial bombardment by the United States and Arab allies trying to help the Kurds push back Daesh.

A Turkish official told Rooters on Wednesday that all the refugees appeared to be Syrian or Iraqi Arabs.

Erdogan Breaks Silence as Turkey PM Seeks Coalition
[al-Alam] Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
was to deliver Thursday his first speech since legislative elections, with his party set to talk to the opposition on forming a coalition after it lost its parliamentary majority in the polls.

The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), which unexpectedly fell short of a majority in Sunday's vote, has however said it will consider every option, including early elections, if the discussions fail.

"Only the AKP will lead the coalition talks but if others block the road we will think of every option," Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said in a live interview with state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
, in a reference to possible new polls.

Davutoglu said he was prepared to meet with all of the three opposition parties who won seats in parliament, including the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party (HDP).

"I will sincerely meet with every opposition party. We have no red lines," he said.

"We always said a coalition is not the best option but if the people make such a choice, what falls on us is to make the best of it."

The election results meant the AKP will have 258 seats in the hung 550-seat parliament, in what was seen as a major blow for the Islamic-rooted party which has ruled The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
for the last 13 years.

The Republican People's Party (CHP) will have 132 seats, and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the HDP 80 apiece.

Davutoglu said the AKP would carry out a survey to find out where it went wrong in the elections and also what kind of coalition its voters wanted, while stressing it was still "a success" that his party took the largest share of the ballots.

Markets had after the vote been rattled by the prospect of fresh elections but the possibility appears to have receded in recent days in favour of a coalition.

Senate blocks cybersecurity measure
[Reuters] The Senate failed to advance legislation to strengthen protections against cyber attacks, as Democrats joined together to oppose the measure's inclusion in a defense policy bill Obama has threatened to veto. Lawmakers voted not to move ahead with the measure as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act.

The 56-40 vote came after the government announced late last week that hackers had stolen millions of federal employees' records from its computers. However, the bill to extend liability protection for companies that share information about cyber attacks might not be dead.

Mitch McConnell's spokesman said McConnell had not announced how he would proceed. Harry Reid's spokesman said the measure would likely pass quickly if McConnell brought it to the floor under regular order.

Republicans had said they wanted to include the cyber security measure in the defense bill to move it quickly. But Democrats accused them of trying to make it more difficult for Obama to carry out his veto threat.

High-profile Sindh personalities involved in terror funding, claims DG Rangers
[DAWN] Pakistain Rangers Sindh has recommended a crackdown on terror-funding activities across Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
, in which the law-enforcing agency claims several influential personalities of Sindh are directly involved.

The director general (DG) of Rangers Sindh, Major General Bilal Akbar, had recently briefed the apex committee on terrorism-funding activities in Karachi, highlighting the involvement of several high-profile personalities in land grabbing and collecting extortion.

According to a statement issued on Thursday, the Rangers DG told the apex committee that illegally acquired funds were channeled to various criminal outfits and individuals -- including those involved in the Lyari
...one of the eighteen constituent towns of the city of Karachi. It is the smallest town by area in the city but also the most densely populated. Lyari has few schools, substandard hospitals, a poor water system, limited infrastructure, and broken roads. It is a stronghold of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party. Ubiquitous gang activity and a thriving narcotics industry make Lyari one of the most disturbed places in Karachi, which is really saying a lot....
gang war.

He said such funds were also distributed to several 'influential' personalities and officials in Sindh.

In his report to the apex committee, the Rangers chief said donations collected in the guise of charitable works, even money from hides of sacrificial animals, were being injected into criminal activities in the province, adding that armed wings of political and religious parties have been feeding on these funds.

Maj Gen Bilal Akbar also revealed that money collected from shops and markets via extortion totaled billions of rupees, adding that political parties, city district governments and administrations, police officials, construction companies and real estate agents were involved in china cutting.

The land-grabbing mafia, he said, operated systematically under the tutelage of a prominent political party in Karachi.

The Rangers chief specially highlighted the role of high-profile and influential personalities in such illegal activities, adding that in addition to battling criminal elements via an explicit operation, there was a need to crack down on terror-funding mechanisms.

The report was lauded by the Sindh apex committee, which has decided to form a committee to investigate these allegations in detail.

'Save the Children' ordered to leave Pakistan
[DAWN] Authorities on Thursday ordered the international aid group Save the Children to leave the country saying the charity was "working against the country", police and government officials said.

Government administration officials accompanied by police arrived at the charity's office in the heart of Islamabad after working hours and placed a lock on the door and a notice saying the building had been sealed.

"We have sealed the office of Save the Children on government instructions," Kamran Cheema, a senior government official told AFP.

"We don't know the reasons behind this order. We were sent a three-line notification by the interior ministry saying that this office should be sealed and all the expatriate staff be sent back to their countries within 15 days," Cheema said.

Externally-sponsored terrorism threat to Pakistan, says Nawaz
[DAWN] Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
said that externally-sponsored terrorism and violent extremism are grave threats to a secure and prosperous Pakistain.

Speaking at the Pak envoys conference in the federal capital, Nawaz stressed "the nation is dismayed by the recent irresponsible and, I must say, imprudent statements from the Indian politicianship".

This vitiates the atmosphere and takes us farther away from our goals of regional peace and stability, he asserted.

"We will protect our vital interests at all costs. This message must be heard loud and clear. At the same time, we will not abandon our high moral ground because of provocations," said the premier.

Nawaz assured that Pakistain will persevere in its quest for a peaceful neighborhood, but demanded that there should be reciprocity and acknowledgement of the overtures it have made to promote the bilateral dialogue process.

Pakistain is a strong proponent of regional economic integration so that we can together create new opportunities for jobs, businesses, industrial production, and agricultural growth, said the prime minister. "We believe that Pakistain is both a conduit and a destination for investment, trade, production and distribution... Pakistain is now recognized as an emerging market with immense potential."

He spoke of the recently announced China-Pakistain Economic Corridor (CPEC) mega-project as a transformational, and a game changer for Pakistain and for the region.

"It would, in due course, also benefit adjoining and peripheral regions," added Nawaz.

US confident there was no cyberspying breach in Iran talks
[IsraelTimes] State Department says it has 'taken steps' during nuclear negotiations to ensure that details remain 'behind closed doors'

The US State Department -- on the front lines of the sensitive Iran nuclear negotiations -- said Thursday it was confident there had been no security breach, after Swiss and Austrian Sherlocks launched probes into alleged cyber-spying.

Spokesman Jeff Rathke told news hounds that the US government was aware of the investigations that had been opened, and that Washington had "close working relationships" with both countries.

"We've taken steps throughout the negotiations to ensure that confidential details and discussions remain behind closed doors," Rathke said.

The delicate talks underway for nearly two years between Iran and six world powers on curbing Tehran's nuclear program have mainly taken place in hotels in Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Zurich and Vienna.

Swiss and Austrian Sherlocks are separately looking into possible spying at the hotels. The Swiss attorney general's office said it had seized computer equipment on "suspicion of illegal intelligence services operating in Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
Israel, which is vehemently opposed to any nuclear deal with Iran, has denied its secret services were involved.

The probes come after Russian-based security firm Kaspersky Lab said a computer worm widely linked to Israel was used to spy on the negotiations.

Negotiators from Iran and the six world powers -- Britannia, China, La Belle France, Germany, Russia and the United States -- are trying to meet a June 30 deadline to reach a definitive deal.

Late Wednesday, a senior US administration official said Washington had "terrific capabilities to try to ensure security" but cautioned: "Nothing ever stays completely secret in this world we live in these days."
Ars Technica has Kaspersky's story about the worm in great detail. The delicate accusation against Israel -- or possibly not, so difficult to be sure -- based on circumstantial evidence can be found at the bottom:

Israeli president says Syrian Druze under threat
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Israel's president expressed his concern to the United States on Wednesday about the fate of the Druze minority in Syria, saying around 500,000 of them were under threat from Islamist hard boyz in an area near the Israeli border.

Israel's Druze, some of whom have reached the senior echelons of Israel's military and the government, have been calling for help on behalf of their brethren in Syria, both at home and abroad.

"What is going on just now is intimidation and threat to the very existence of half a million Druze on the Mount of Druze which is very close to the Israeli border," President Reuven Rivlin said after a meeting with General Martin Dempsey, the U.S. military's top officer.

The southern region near the border with Jordan and Israel is one of the areas where Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Lord of the Baath...
has recently lost ground to bully boyz in the civil war.

Groups active in the south include the non-jihadist rebels of the 'Southern Front' and al Qaeda's Syrian arm, the Nusra Front. Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
has also been targeting Syrian army positions in Sweida province, the Druze heartland.

Members of the Druze sect, an off-shoot of Islam, are spread across Leb, the Paleostinian territories, Israel and Syria. The puritanical school of Sunni Islam espoused by al Qaeda and Islamic State views the Druze as heretics.

Muslim rebels in Philippines to start turning over weapons
[ARABNEWS] Moslem guerrillas in the Philippines will begin turning over their weapons as part of a peace deal even as politicians are still debating a law creating a new autonomous Moslem region in the country's south, rebel and government peace negotiators said Thursday.

President Benigno Aquino III will be the guest of honor at the ceremonial turnover of high-powered weapons next week, chief government negotiator Miriam Coronel Ferrer said. She said 145 guerrillas of the 11,000-strong Moro Islamic Liberation Front also will be decommissioned.

Rebel negotiator Mohagher Iqbal said rebels agreed to hand over their weapons to an independent group despite the delay in the passage of the law creating the new autonomous region.

"This is just the start of the decommissioning process, which the (rebel group) has committed to undertake as a show of its sincerity to peace building," Ferrer said.

Ex-Lebanon minister calls for Druze force to fight Syria rebels after massacre
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Tawhid Party chief Wiam Wahhab Thursday urged Druze to form an armed force to defend themselves after at least 20 members of their community were killed by Nusra Front murderous Moslems in northwest Syria.

"We will not accept to sell Druze blood!" Wahhab, a former minister, said in an angry televised speech.

"[The Druze in Syria] are ready to defeat the terrorists, but what they lack is arms. Leb's Druze are ready to help, we are ready to form an army of 200 fighters to defend the Druze."

Wahhab's comments come one day after at least 20 Druze men and women were killed by murderous Moslems from Al-Qaeda's affiliate in the village of Qalb Lawzah, in Idlib province.

Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Wally Jumblat
... Druze politician, head of the Progressive Socialist Party, who's been on every side in Leb at least four times. He'll sell you his friends for a dollar, but family comes higher because of shipping and handling...
, who is politically opposed to Wahhab and staunchly supports Syria's rebels, said a Druze religious council would hold and emergency meeting Friday on the incident.

"Any inciting rhetoric will not be beneficial, and you should remember that Bashir al-Assad's policies pushed Syria into this chaos," Jumblat wrote on Twitter.

Jumblat also called for reconciliation between the Druze and the Sunni communities in the southern Deraa province.

In August, Druze villagers from the southern province of Swaida fought deadly festivities with Nusra-backed Bedouins from nearby Deraa.

Jumblat has since intensified his anti-Assad stance, calling on Druze to join Syria's rebels.

In his Twitter remarks Thursday, Jumblat cautioned political figures against attacking the rebels, fearing that criticism of their actions would lead to more violence against Druze in Idlib.

Hezbollah blames Future Movement for state's 'collapse'
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Hezbollah's Loyalty to Resistance Bloc blamed the Future Movement Thursday for the deterioration of Leb's state institutions.

"The control, confiscation and monopolization approach the Future Movement has been practicing in government and administration over the last years, in contradiction with the text and content of the Taif Accord, is the main cause behind the wearing out and collapse of the state and its institutions," the bloc said in a statement after its weekly meeting, read out by MP Hasan Fadlallah.

"[This] eventually led to disrupting [political] constitutional institutions one afer the other, and shaking the general balance in the country."

Hezbollah accused its rival party, headed by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri
Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.
, of "marginalizing real partnership among the Lebanese and overlooking constitutional rights for other components."

The statement also blamed Future for undermining Leb's illusory sovereignty by making "concessions in lands and water," and managing public finances in a "dubious" manner.

"It is the right of the majority of the Lebanese opposing this destructive approach to [managing] the country, to endorse and support the presidential candidate in whom they find the ability to prevent this approach from infiltrating and ruining the next presidential term," the statement said, in reference to Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
chief Michel Aoun
...a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah...
"All the political and media campaigns of the Future Movement will fail to deny, confiscate or eclipse this right from public opinion."

#1  IRAN is being hailed as doing a much better or effective job than the Bammer = USA in getting Iraqi Sunnis to fight alongside Iraqi Shias agz the ISIS/ISIL + aligned.

Iran's strategy thus far appears to be letting its Hezbollah proxy fight wid Baby Assad forces agz the ISIS/ISIL widin Syria proper + Western Iraq, while the IRGC Quds + Iraqi Shia Militias, etc. aligned deal wid the ISIS threat in Eastern Iraq = around Baghdad.

IMO prolly safe to say that Iran = future OWG Co-Superpower Iran is contemplating building a multi-tiered "defense-in-depth" for itself + future new "Sphere of Influence" [Thanks, Obama!] stretching from the Eastern Med + Syria all the way to Eastern Iraq + Iran's borders???

U.S. Blacklists 'Key Hizbullah Support Network'
[AnNahar] The U.S. Treasury placed on its sanctions blacklist Wednesday three Lebanese men and companies they are tied to, calling them part of a "key Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
support network."

The Treasury placed asset freezes and restrictions for doing business on real estate businessman Adham Tabaja and his al-Inmaa group of companies, Kassem Hejeij and Husayn Ali Faour, and the company he manages, Car Care Center.

It said Tabaja is a member of Hizbullah, which is officially labeled a "terrorist organization" by Washington, and that al-Inmaa is used by Hizbullah for investment and holding properties.

It said that al-Inmaa Engineering and Contracting has recently obtained oil and construction projects in Iraq that "provide both financial support and organizational infrastructure to Hizbullah."

Hejeij, the Treasury said, works with Tabaja and also provides financial support to Hizbullah.

It said that Faour is a member of Hizbullah's operations unit Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
, and the company he runs, Car Care Center, helps Hizbullah with transportation.

The Treasury said the sanctioned individuals and companies are examples of Hizbullah's "continued exploitation of the legitimate commercial sector for financial, organizational, and material support... which enable the group to carry out acts of terrorism."
