#1 IRAN is being hailed as doing a much better or effective job than the Bammer = USA in getting Iraqi Sunnis to fight alongside Iraqi Shias agz the ISIS/ISIL + aligned.

Iran's strategy thus far appears to be letting its Hezbollah proxy fight wid Baby Assad forces agz the ISIS/ISIL widin Syria proper + Western Iraq, while the IRGC Quds + Iraqi Shia Militias, etc. aligned deal wid the ISIS threat in Eastern Iraq = around Baghdad.

IMO prolly safe to say that Iran = future OWG Co-Superpower Iran is contemplating building a multi-tiered "defense-in-depth" for itself + future new "Sphere of Influence" [Thanks, Obama!] stretching from the Eastern Med + Syria all the way to Eastern Iraq + Iran's borders???
