Three students of the Astrakhan Medical Academy disappeared in Ingushetia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Three students of the Astrakhan university from Ingushetia and Dagestan are wanted by the Ingush police. They left Astrakhan for Ingushetia on February 27 and nothing has been known about them since.

Three students of the Astrakhan State Medical Academy are listed as missing - natives of Ingushetia Malik and Ramaz Gandaloevs, born in 2000 and 2001, as well as a native of Dagestan Arsen Gammadov, born in 1999.

On February 27, young people took a taxi from Astrakhan towards Ingushetia, but never reached the place, according to a message published on March 5 on the VKontakte social network in The Magas Times, which has 30,000 subscribers. The orientation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia is also posted there.

The missing students rented an apartment in Astrakhan. They left without notifying the administration of the university. The Gandaloyevs and Gammadov set off in a fixed-route taxi going to Nazran, but got off at the village of Troitskoye. They had large bags and a backpack with them.

A “farewell” letter of a religious extremist nature was found in their rented apartment, according to the orientation on the search, published on March 5 in the Telegram channel “Search of Ingushetia.”

The Grand Turk
Saudi Arabia deposits $5 billion in Turkey's central bank
[DW] Minister of Finance Mohammed Bin Abdullah al-Jadaan had announced his country's intention to make the deposit in December.

Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century...
signed an agreement with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
on Monday to deposit $5 billion (€4.7 billion) in the country's central bank.

It comes as Turkey is struggling with high inflation and the effects of last month's massive earthquake.

WHAT SAUDI ARABIA SAID ABOUT THE DEAL WITH TURKEY
The kingdom announced the deal through the state-run Saudi Press Agency, calling it "a testament to the close cooperation and historical ties that exist between the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey and its brotherly people."

The decision was made on the order of King Salman
...either the largest species of Pacific salmon or the current Sheikh of the Burnin' Sands, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Lord of Most of the Arabians...
and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
...Crown Prince and modernizer of Saudi Arabia as of 2016. The Turks hate him, so he must be all right, despite the occasional brutal murder of Qatar-owned journalists. As crown prince, Moe has quietly jettisoned his country's policy of trying to impose its religion on the rest of the world...
it said.

The kingdom gave no details on how the cash would be used or if it could call for the amount to be returned. Deposits of this nature can help increase a national currency's exchange rates against other international currencies.

In December of last year, Minister of Finance Mohammed Bin Abdullah al-Jadaan had announced his country's intention to make the deposit.

Strenghtening relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkey

The move symbolizes a rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Turkey after the relationship suffered a heavy blow following the 2018 killing of Saudi journalist beloved martyr of journalism Jamal Khashoggi
......who was simultaneously a very well paid Washington Post columnist and a long time propagandist for the Moslem Brotherhood and Al Qaeda — he died while on the Qatari payroll, but previously wrote at the behest of then-Saudi intel chief Prince Turki al-Faisal......
in the kingdom's Istanbul consulate.

Last April, Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important...
paid his first visit to Saudi Arabia since the Khashoggi killing, where he met Prince Mohammed before traveling to Mecca.

Prince Mohammed followed with a visit to Ankara in June.

House Republicans face thorny challenges in Afghanistan withdrawal investigations
[WashingtonExaminer] People long thought of the 2001-2021 Afghanistan conflict as "the good war." U.S. military action in the landlocked central Asian conservative Moslem nation was a direct response to the 9/11 attacks, which claimed nearly 3,000 lives on American soil.

The public largely saw the Afghanistan war as a matter of self-defense since its Taliban

Though more than 2,400 Americans died in military efforts fighting hard boyz in Afghanistan, its moral authority shone brightly compared to the invasion of Iraq and subsequent war, a conflict of choice, which, according to critics, stood as the worst U.S. foreign policy decision of the modern era after it empowered neighboring Shia Mulsim majority Iran

US bans Tadamon massacre perpetrator
[NPASyria] A new US Department of State decision barred the perpetrator of the so-called Tadamon massacre, which was uncovered last year, from entering US territory.

In 2013, Amjad Yusef, an intelligence officer in the Syrian government army, killed at least 41 opposition suspects being held as prisoners in cold blood in Tadamon, a Damascus neighborhood. The evidence for these war crimes were uncovered by the New Lines Magazine and The Guardian after a lengthy investigation, which involved creating a fake persona to gain Yusef’s trust.

As a result of the decision today, Yusef — who continues to serve in the Syrian government’s armed forces — his wife, and close family members are barred from entering US territory. In an accompanying statement, the desk of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Yusef’s war crimes "serves as a sobering reminder for why countries should not normalize relations with the Assad regime absent enduring progress towards a political resolution."

"Our support for the brave Syrians who continue to risk their lives to hold the Assad regime accountable," the statement continues, "will not waver, and we will pursue every measure to find justice for victims and survivors of atrocities and to promote accountability for those responsible, including the Assad regime and its allies."

India-Pakistan
AJK education department makes hijab mandatory for female teachers, students
[Dawn] Azad Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
’s education department has made hijab compulsory for female students and teachers in co-education institutions, it emerged on Monday.

A circular, available with Dawn.com, was issued on February 24, with the signatures of a deputy director of AJK’s Directorate General of Elementary and Secondary Education (Males), which said that "it has been observed that the female students/teachers are not made to wear hijab in institutions where co-education is practised. Therefore, under the passed-on instructions, female students/teachers should be strictly bound to wear hijab."

The circular warned that in case the instructions were violated, disciplinary proceedings shall be initiated "against the heads of the institutions concerned".

The circular was copied to all three divisional directors and all 10 district education officers on the male side for endorsement as per rules, who had then forwarded the same to the educational institutions in their jurisdiction between March 2 and March 4.

When contacted by Dawn.com, Deevan Ali Khan Chughtai, the AJK minister for elementary and secondary education, confirmed the circular and elaborated on the reasons behind it.

"We have done it exactly in observance of the injunctions of God and His Messenger (peace be upon him) [...] The women have been ordained to wear veils and men have been ordained to lower their gaze," he said.

The minister maintained that since in some rural areas, the government could not establish separate high and higher secondary schools for girls, mainly due to resource constraints and also due to the small number of girl students, they would therefore be enrolled in educational institutions for boys to study under a co-education system.

"However,
women are made to be loved, not understood...
following some complaints by parents, we decided to enforce a dress code for teachers and hijab for female students and teachers," he added.

Chughtai said initially, the teachers across the state would wear gowns for their identification and in the second stage, they would also have to wear uniforms.

"As far as female students and female teachers in co-ed institutions are concerned, the hijab has been made part of their uniform," the AJK minister said.

In response to a question, he said that "ideally hijab should also be enforced in universities" but since the students in varsities are "mature enough as compared to the adolescent high schoolers", it had been enforced in high schools and higher secondary schools.

"It’s not a forced decision. Rather we have taken it in consultation with parents and teachers. Everyone has accepted it because our society has a visible leaning towards religion," Chughtai maintained.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Report: State Department Funding Anti-government Group in Israel
Hattip to Mad Eye Omeretch7959. I wondered if something like this was happening, because the protests are so like the insatiable anti-Trump protests during his term in office, but as up til now there was no evidence.... See here for the result of the US State Dept. investment.
[Breitbart] The U.S. State Department has been funding a left-wing organization in Israel that is helping to promote anti-government protest aimed at bringing down Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his judicial reforms.

The Washington Free Beacon reported Monday that U.S. taxpayer funds have been granted to the Movement for Quality Government (MQG), which has participated in the protests that have rocked Israel for weeks.

The protests began after Netanyahu, whose right-wing coalition won a commanding majority in recent elections, began tackling the decades-old problem of the judicial usurpation of power from the legislature.

The Israeli left has reacted in outrage — even calling Netanyahu’s legal, legitimate reforms a "coup" — because it has generally regarded the judiciary as a bastion of leftist ideology and secular values since the early 1990s.

In addition to blocking traffic, protesters have, at times, adopted more radical tactics, such as trapping a member of the legislature in her home — and, more recently, trapping Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, in a hair salon.

The Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know...
has suggested that it opposes the reforms, though many of the proposed changes simply parallel U.S. law. Left-wing Jewish groups in the U.S. have supported the ongoing protests as well.

Now, it emerges that The MQG has been receiving support directly from the State Department. The Free Beacon’s Adam Kredo reports:

The documents indicate that, since 2020, Foggy Bottom has sent over $38,000 to the Movement for Quality Government (MQG), the Israeli nonprofit stoking nationwide anti-Netanyahu protests that have seen protesters clash with police and target Netanyahu’s family members. MQG is seeking to takedown Netanyahu’s government over his support for major reforms to the Israeli supreme court that would significantly limit its power. The organization petitioned Israel’s Supreme Court
...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations...
earlier this year to oust Netanyahu, claiming he is unfit for office due to ongoing investigations into allegations of political corruption and bribery.

The State Department, which confirmed the funding, calls the group a nonpartisan organization, but its work opposing Netanyahu raises questions about how the group was able to obtain U.S. funding. The United States typically avoids funding foreign partisan groups to avoid claims of political meddling. Even before MQG emerged as the leading force behind the current wave of anti-Netanyahu protests, it made a name for itself as a leading critic of the Israeli right, which has long seen Netanyahu as its leader. Given the Biden administration’s chilly diplomatic relationship with Netanyahu—which includes repeated criticism of Israeli settlement construction and the decision to launch an unprecedented FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
probe into Israel’s anti-terrorism operations—the U.S. funding to MQG has come under new scrutiny.

The B.O. regime was also thought to have interfered in Israeli politics, using State Department funding through a group called V15 in a failed effort to defeat Netanyahu in 2015.
The NGO V15, short for Victory 15 — the anti-Netanyahu get-out-the-vote effort — is merely the most recent false-nose-and-mustache of the international leftwing anti-Israel “activist” group known previously as OneVoice, with branches in Israel, in the West Bank, Gaza, Europe, and Washington, DC (where it is pleased to call itself OneVoice Movement). A lawsuit against the US State Department forced the revelation that in 2013-14 alone, the US State Department gave the Israeli branch millions of dollars to prevent Bibi Netanyahu from being reelected...in which goal they failed. Mahmoud Abbas’s wealthy Palestinian-Canadian son, Yasser Mahmoud Abbas (sometimes referred to as merely Yasser Abbas, sometimes more fully as Yasser Mahmoud Reda Abbas) is on the PA branch’s board of directors. The thing was founded by multi-billionaire Daniel Lubetzky in 2002 as a “grassroots” effort of his PeaceWorks Foundation, to amplify moderate Jewish and Palestinian voices during the second Intifada, not noticing that groups founded by ultra-rich foreigners are exactly the opposite of grassroots. One has to assume, since he is still involved with the thing, that he is comfortable with the fact that it quickly rolled hard left.

#1  Any friend of Donald Trump (in this case conservative Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu) is an ENEMY of the Deep State.

The Movement for Quality Government (MQG) is a left organization and no place to put USD. Israeli politics should be an internal issue.

More on the MQG found at this link.

#3  I only get credit for working up the article, Mullah Richard. The find is not mine.

I can also highly recommend Besoeker’s Caroline Glick piece on MQG as equally useful. Or damning, if you prefer.

The same people are in charge here now as were then.

Yes — Obama’s third term. Also the same leftwing multibillionaires causing trouble since the beginning of the millennium — or in the case of George Soros, much earlier.

#5  It was a struggle to listen to all the Obama crowd complain about Russian interference knowing what we had been doing in Israel and other countries like Ukraine. I don’t know if they even stopped during the Trump years. I see no evidence that Pompeo made any significant changes at the CIA or State.

U.S. defense secretary aims to reassure Mideast allies, deliver tough message
[Shafaq News] U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, in Jordan to begin a three-country Mideast visit, is aiming to reassure key allies of American commitment to the region despite Washington's recent focus on Russia and China, officials said, but plans frank messages for leaders of Israel and Egypt.

The Pentagon chief, who arrived in Amman on Sunday, is expected to press Israeli leaders to reduce tensions in the West Bank and work to strength ties in talks with Egyptian leaders while touching on human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
concerns.

"Austin will convey enduring U.S. commitment to the Middle East and provide reassurance to our partners that the United States remains committed to supporting their defense," said a senior U.S. defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
The United States has about 30,000 troops in the region and is seen as pivotal in helping counter Iranian influence.

Retired U.S. Marine Corp General Frank McKenzie, who headed American forces in the Middle East until last year, said the region is significant to the United States in part because of China's growing role.

"I think this trip is an excellent example of an opportunity to continue to tell people in the theater (region) that they remain important to us," added McKenzie, now leading the University of South Florida's Global and National Security Institute.

Ties between China and Middle Eastern countries have expanded under the region's economic diversification push, raising U.S. concerns about growing Chinese involvement in sensitive infrastructure in the Gulf including in the United Arab Emirates.

The United States last week demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repudiate a call by his hardline Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich for a flashpoint Paleostinian village to be "erased" - a comment that Netanyahu on Sunday called "inappropriate." The U.S. State Department has called Smotrich's comment "repugnant."

"He (Austin) will also be quite frank with Israeli leaders about his concerns regarding the cycle of violence in the West Bank and consult on what steps Israeli leaders can take to meaningfully restore calm before the upcoming holidays," the U.S. defense official said.

With the Moslem holy month of Ramadan and the Jewish Passover holiday weeks away, foreign mediators have sought to reduce tensions that rose after Netanyahu regained power at the head of a hard-right coalition.

Austin is poised to send a clear message on the need for Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi to respect human rights, underscoring Washington's concern on the issue.

"I fully expect him to bring up human rights, respect for fundamental freedoms," the U.S. defense official said.

Under Sisi, who as army chief led the 2013 ouster of Egypt's first democratically elected president, there has been a long crackdown on political dissent that has swept up liberal critics as well as Islamists.

The United States has withheld small amounts of military aid to Cairo, citing a failure to meet human rights conditions. Advocacy groups have pushed for more to be held back.

The United States, long an important player in the Middle East, has been preoccupied with other international matters during President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant. Just look at the competent way he dumped Afghanistan...
's administration including Russia's invasion of Ukraine and concern over Chinese military activity near the self-ruled island of Taiwan.

The United States has committed more than $32 billion in weapons to Ukraine including sophisticated air defense systems and tanks.

Mistrust toward the United States among some in the Middle East has built up since the 2011 "Arab Spring" uprisings when Gulf rulers were shocked at how President Barack Obama
My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it...
's administration abandoned the late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak
...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011...
after a decades-old alliance.

The United States pulled out the last of its troops from Afghanistan in a chaotic withdrawal in 2021, further raising questions in the broader region about Washington's commitment.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Amnesty accuses SNA, Syrian government of ‘politicizing’ quake aid
Of course they do. A hudna is just the time when one prepares for the next stage of war.
[NPASyria] In a statement today, March 6, Amnesia Amnesty International accused both the Ottoman Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) and the Syrian government of "politicizing" earthquake aid deliveries to northwest Syria.

The Syrian government blocked at least 100 aid trucks and the SNA at least 30, all of which were sent by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). According to Syrians for Truth and Justice, a research organization, SNA groups did so at The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
’s behest.

SNA factions also stand accused of prioritizing Arab settlers over the indigenous Kurdish population of Afrin while distributing aid. One local said his family had to purchase a tent for 125 British pounds from one of the groups.

Amnesia Amnesty International also found that SNA forces had used force, including shooting in the air, to disperse earthquake victims and claim aid delivered by NGOs for themselves.

The Kurdish town of Jindires, in Afrin, is the worst-affected urban region in Syria.

Aya Majzoub, Amnesty’s regional deputy director, said, "These politically-motivated obstructions of critical aid have had tragic ramifications, especially for search-and-recovery teams who need fuel to operate machinery."

Amnesty is also aware of Syrian government soldiers stealing aid for themselves. The 100 truck convoy sent by the AANES to the Kurdish-run neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh in Aleppo was reduced to 21, which entered the city belatedly, on February 18 and 19. Syrian government forces syphoned off at least 40 fuel trucks. In a previous statement, Amnesia Amnesty International had decried the Syrian government’s siege of the two Kurdish neighborhoods.

The earthquakes in Turkey and Syria on February 6 killed over 50.000 people, including over 6.000 in Syria alone. Thousands of residents in northwest Syria have been made homeless; millions have been displaced.
