Trump Administration Weighs Sanctions on Foreign Funders of Pro-Hamas Campus Protests
More sunshine and consequences. And more winning!
[WashingtonFreeBeacon] The effort would target prominent Qatari nationals who have financed groups like Students for Justice in Palestine

The Trump administration is mulling plans to sanction the international funders behind pro-Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
protests, including prominent Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i nationals who have vast financial holdings inside the United States, current and former U.S. officials familiar with the internal discussions told the Washington Free Beacon.

The effort seeks to build upon President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
’s January executive order authorizing the deportation of foreign students engaged in often illegal anti-Semitic demonstrations on college campuses across the country. Instead of targeting the protests' participants, it would target their funders. The administration could, for example, slap sanctions on foreign individuals who provide groups like Students for Justice in Paleostine with significant funding. In cases where those individuals enjoy U.S. visas, it could revoke them.

"President Trump has made it a priority to ensure that Jewish students, indeed all students, feel safe and free from harassment on college campuses," one senior U.S. official, who spoke on background to discuss the ongoing deliberations, told the Free Beacon. "To that end, his administration is taking a comprehensive approach, not just looking at the visas and green cards of student instigators, but also, for example, going after the people funding the protests, wherever they may be."

The plans reflect a growing appetite inside the administration to hamstring Hamas's allies in the United States by penalizing their most prolific funders, including several former Qatari officials known to maintain relations with the Iran-backed group. Iranian government actors have also funded anti-Israel protests in the United States, former director of national intelligence Avril Haines revealed last summer.

Some officials within the Biden administration discussed similar plans to cut off foreign funding or the protests, according to a former U.S. diplomat involved in the efforts both then and now, who said the administration shelved the plans so as not to upset Doha's government as it mediated peace talks between Israel and Hamas.

"This was on the menu when I was there, but the previous administration was a bit squeamish about taking extreme measures, like revoking visas," said the diplomat. "But that’s not a problem in this administration, and we’re hearing they’re looking at all options—from sanctions on individuals to the revocation of visas."

"You can't get rid of anti-Semitism on campus without getting rid of the funding, and the funders are Qatar."

The Trump administration has already taken similar action when it comes to America's southern border. In early March, Secretary of State Marco Rubio
...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration...
announced visa restrictions on "foreign government officials, including immigration and customs officials, airport and port authority officials, and others believed to be responsible for knowingly facilitating illegal immigration to the United States." Less than two weeks later, Rubio restricted visas for current and former government officials complicit in China’s genocide of the Uyghur minority population.

The latter announcement closely mirrors policy proposals on the table to target current and former foreign officials bankrolling the pro-Hamas movement in America, particularly those from Qatar, which continues to maintain close ties to Hamas and finance its operations.

One of those former officials who has drawn attention is Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, a prominent Qatari businessman and royal family member who served as Doha’s prime minister from 2007 to 2013.

Al Thani, along with former Qatari emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, co-owns the Maybourne Beverly Hills, a luxury hotel that has faced pro-Israel protests in recent months.

The leader of the protests, Beverly Hills-based rabbi Pini Dunner, held meetings in February with Trump administration officials and members of Congress about forwarding plans to target the Al Thanis and other Qataris known to finance Hamas.

"A number of those I spoke to revealed that their visas are being looked into, as well as their ability to conduct business in the United States," Dunner told the Free Beacon. "U.S. politicians are not fools, and they will not allow this country to be made a fool of by these people any longer."

A senior GOP congressional official familiar with the talks confirmed that Republican politicians are crafting parallel plans to target those financing Hamas’s U.S.-based propaganda arms, which include groups like Students for Justice in Paleostine and other campus organizations.

"Trump's Executive Order provides the basis for going after the backers of illegal pro-Hamas protests, and Trump officials are doing exactly that," the official told the Free Beacon. "There are mountains of evidence that Qatar paid for groups committed to halting Israel's campaign against Hamas. Everyone knows where the investigation into illegal protests will end up, and Republicans will look to punish those responsible."

Turkish court jails Istanbul Mayor Imamoglu pending trial
[NYPOST] A Ottoman Turkish court tossed in the slammer
Please don't kill me!
Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu on Sunday pending trial on graft charges, state media and other broadcasters said, in a move likely to stoke the country's biggest protests against President Tayyip Erdogan's government in more than a decade.

The decision to send Imamoglu, Erdogan's main political rival, to prison comes after the main opposition party, European leaders and tens of thousands of protesters criticized the actions against him as politicized and undemocratic.

The court said Imamoglu, 54, and at least 20 others were tossed in the slammer
Please don't kill me!
as part of a corruption investigation, one of two that were opened against him last week.

United Nations faces unprecedented liquidity crisis following DOGE USAID cuts
[FOXNEWS] President Donald Trump's administration's use of Elon Musk's DOGE to cut USAID spending is having a deep impact on the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), according to internal U.N. emails shared with Fox News Digital.

In an email sent early Friday morning, president of the U.N. Field Staff Union, Milan Victor Dawoh wrote that the USAID funding cut resulted in "approximately $30 million" having been "removed from the extra-budgetary (XB) resources, resulting in a significant reduction in staffing."

Dawoh's email warns that the U.N. "is currently experiencing its worst liquidity crisis since its establishment. The situation is expected to deteriorate further before any improvement occurs."

Dawoh said that UNDSS will lose 100 employees and that its presence will be eliminated in 35 to 45 countries, while noting that "regional hubs" will be established "in the remaining 120 countries where UNDSS will maintain a presence."
The poor darlings.

Venezuela to resume accepting US deportation flights
[FoxNews] Deportation flights to Venezuela to resume Sunday

Venezuela will resume accepting deportation flights from the US after Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro suspended the flights earlier this month.

Jorge Rodríguez, the president of Venezuela's Assembly and chief negotiator with the U.S. announced the change in policy on Saturday.

"We have agreed with the U.S. government to resume the repatriation of Venezuelan migrants with an initial flight tomorrow, Sunday," Rodriguez said.

He added that the deal with the U.S. secured the "return of our compatriots to their nation with the safeguard of their Human Rights."

Rodriguez referenced the deportation of some Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador in his statement. President Donald Trump's administration has sent some Venezuelan members of the Tren de Aragua gang to the country.

"Migrating is not a crime
...sometimes. Other times it is…
and we will not rest until we achieve the return of all those who require it and until we rescue our brothers kidnapped in El Salvador," Rodríguez said in a statement.

Maduro himself referred to the Venezuelans held in El Salvador as "kidnapped" on Saturday.

In recent weeks, some 350 people were deported to Venezuela, including some 180 who spent up to 16 days at the U.S. naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The Trump administration said that the Venezuelans sent to Guantanamo are members of Tren de Aragua.

Venezuela had long been a friendly oil-trading partner of the U.S. until Maduro's leftist regime took root following the 1998 and 2000 elections under the rule of the late Hugo Chavez and foreign policy challenges arose.

India Smashes Soros Foundation Network
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text supplied by rtechnocom

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin is in italics.

[ColonelCassad] India has begun to smash George Soros's funds while the Democrats are out of power in the US.

Financial intelligence with searches in the office of the Soros Foundation in Bangalore. Officially, they are investigating financial fraud. In fact, they are closing the shop of the “open society”, which financed local NGOs in violation of the law. The Indian Foreign Ministry is already demanding a report from the United States on all USAID projects for 10 years. Washington suddenly “cannot disclose the details” because it “threatens the national interests of the United States”.

The searches quickly showed how Soros’s bug-infested people actively penetrated the media and NPO system in India, representing one of the networks of informal influence of the globalists.

The defeat of USAID opens up the opportunity for many countries to immediately put an end to all structures that received money from USAID and Soros. But this requires political will. The Indians have it.

Israel to discuss taking full military control of Gaza with senior US officials: source
[IsraelTimes] Strategic Affairs Minister Dermer said planning to talk about an IDF takeover of enclave, including running humanitarian aid operations; Netanyahu speaks to Rubio

During a visit to Washington DC this week, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer will discuss with senior US officials a plan for Israeli military control over the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel. The plan will include the IDF distributing aid to the war-torn enclave.

The Prime Minister’s Office declined to comment on the intended content of Dermer’s meetings with US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and other senior intelligence, defense and diplomatic officials.

The office did say that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone on Sunday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio
...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration...
The two discussed attempts to free hostages from captivity in Gaza, and the resumption of combat in the Strip, said Netanyahu’s office. According to the Israeli readout, Rubio expressed "America’s unequivocal support for Israel and its policies."

As of last week, National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi was also slated to fly to DC, but he will not be making the trip, the PMO said without offering a reason for the change.

Dermer was to take off for Washington later Sunday.

According to the Walla outlet, Dermer was leading a delegation from the National Security Council, IDF, Mosssd
......
, Foreign Ministry and Israel Atomic Energy Agency.

Israel has until now avoided pushing for military rule of the Gaza Strip, but with a new IDF chief of staff and defense minister — not to mention a new president in the White House — Israel’s thinking appears to have changed, The Washington Post reported, citing current and former Israeli officials, as well as others, briefed on the developments.

Last September, Netanyahu asked the IDF to look at taking over aid distribution to prevent Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
pilfering supplies but both then-defense minister Yoav Gallant and then-IDF chief of staff Herzl Halevi opposed the idea.

However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
by February Israeli officials were telling international aid agencies of plans for humanitarian resources to be screened in "logistic hubs" set up by Israel, some agency officials told the US newspaper.

Amir Avivi, a former deputy commander of the military’s Gaza division, told the Post that previously the campaign in Gaza was held back by rifts among political and military leaders, as well as the Biden administration’s wariness over Gazook civilian casualties. However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
changes in Israel’s defense establishment, as well as the Trump administration in Washington, has eased such curbs.

"Now there is new leadership, there is the backup from the US," Avivi said, and noted that Israel is also no longer distracted by conflict with Hezbollah in Leb
...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade....
. "The plans [for the now-resumed Israeli military campaign against Hamas in Gaza] are decisive. There will be a full-scale attack and they will not stop until Hamas is eradicated completely."

Other unnamed sources said the tactics will include targeting Hamas’s civilian leadership while evacuating women, children and vetted noncombatants to "humanitarian bubbles," then focusing on destroying Hamas members who remain behind.

Israeli officials also told The Washington Post that an invasion and occupation of Gaza would demand up to five IDF divisions, a scale of deployment that could burden the IDF, which is already facing hostility from some reservists over the prospect of an open-ended war.

Other officials contended that just such an invasion is needed to achieve Netanyahu’s war goal of destroying Hamas.

The war began on October 7, 2023, when the Paleostinian terror group Hamas led over 5,000 attackers to invade southern Israel, killing 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducting 251 as hostages to the Gaza Strip.

The following day, Iran-backed Hezbollah began attacking along the northern border, igniting a conflict that escalated into an open war that ended with a ceasefire last November, after Israel inflicted heavy damage on the terror group.

Then in January, Israel reached a mediated ceasefire with Hamas. The complex, three-phase plan saw dozens of hostages released during its initial stage but then failed to proceed further amid mutual accusations of violations.

Last week, Israel launched widespread Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on Gaza, accusing Hamas of refusing to extend the ceasefire framework.

According to the Washington Post, the renewed Israeli offensive was notable in that it also targeted members of Hamas’s civil administration and not just military figures.

In the meantime, Israeli officials said they are waiting to see how negotiations on continuing the ceasefire play out and that no decisions have yet been made on increasing the current offensive or what shape an escalation would take. So far, Israel has largely been striking Gaza from the air, although there have also been some ground maneuvers.

Throughout the war, Netanyahu has faced criticism — including from the previous Biden administration — for not presenting a "day after" plan for Gaza when the war ends. Though various ideas were reportedly under consideration, US President Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
in February offered his vision of clearing Gaza of its residents so that the US could develop the territory as a "riviera."

Though the notion has been rejected outright by the Paleostinians and Arab nations, it has been embraced by Netanyahu and especially by members of his coalition who seek the reestablishment of Israeli settlements in Gaza.

Security cabinet approves 13 West Bank ‘neighborhoods’ to become independent settlements
Intransigence has a lost opportunity cost — finally.
[IsraelTimes] Former illegal outposts to get councils, eased funding; Smotrich: An important step on path of ‘de facto sovereignty’; Palestinian Authority, Hamas condemn move

The security cabinet has approved a decision to split off 13 so-called "neighborhoods" of existing West Bank settlements from their "mother settlement," thereby turning them into 13 independent settlements.

Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who advanced the security cabinet’s decision in his additional role as a minister in the Defense Ministry, described the move on Sunday as an important step to the path of "de facto [Israeli] illusory sovereignty" over the West Bank.

The "neighborhoods" in question were built many years, and even decades, ago, as illegal settlement outposts, that is, without formal cabinet approval.

Some of these outposts were retroactively legalized by the government by way of approving building plans for the construction of a new neighborhood for an authorized and legal settlement at the site of the illegal outpost, even when, as in many cases, that outpost was several kilometers from the original settlement.

This was all done at a time when Israel was cautious about the diplomatic consequences of settlement expansion, and therefore built the so-called settlements as "neighborhoods" to disguise the reality of settlement expansion.

The decision to now formally split off the neighborhoods as new settlements allows the government to provide budgets for each of them individually, as opposed to designating money for it through its old mother settlements. They will also all get their own municipal councils.

The new settlements were Alon, Haresha, Kerem Reim, Neriya, Migron, Shvut Rachel, Ovnat, Brosh Habika, Leshem, Nofei Nehemia, Tal Menashe, Ibei Hanahal and Gvaot.

Smotrich charged that the previous situation caused those neighborhoods "great difficulties in their daily management," and that the new step will help them to "advance and develop."

"We are continuing to lead a revolution in the normalization and formalization of settlements," the head of the Religious Zionism party wrote on X. "Instead of hiding and apologizing we are raising the flag, building and settling. This is another important step on the way to de facto [Israeli] illusory sovereignty in Judea and Samaria [the West Bank]."

Smotrich is open in his desire to permanently stymie the establishment of a Paleostinian state and for Israel to annex large swaths of the West Bank and Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
The Paleostinian Authority foreign ministry on Sunday condemned the decision to recognize the new settlements as a show of "disregard for international legitimacy and its resolutions."

The ministry also mentioned the ongoing major Israeli military operation in the northern West Bank, saying it was accompanied by "an unprecedented escalation in the confiscation of Paleostinian lands."

The Hamas
..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,...
terror group also "strongly condemned" the move, as well as Smotrich’s remarks, describing them as proof that settlements were a "racist replacement project."

While the international community considers all settlements illegal, Israel differentiates between settlement homes built and permitted by the Defense Ministry on land owned by the state, and illegal outposts built without the necessary permits, often on private Paleostinian land. In recent years, though, the government has increasingly sought to regulate the wildcat outposts, rather than demolish them.

Earlier this month, the left-wing Peace Now organization reported that a record number of illegal settlement outposts were established in 2024 and the year saw an all-time high for land appropriation.

The organization’s annual review of settlement activity noted that a record 59 illegal outposts, groups of structures not authorized by the government, were set up across the West Bank in 2024, while more land in the territory was declared "state land" — making it available for residential, commercial or agricultural development — than in any year since the Oslo Accords were signed in 1993.

In 2017, Peace Now published a study called "Unraveling the Mechanism Behind Illegal Outposts," detailing the methods through which illegal settlement outposts are established, including through the assistance of local settlement municipal authorities and non-governmental organizations, and the failure of law enforcement agencies to investigate such activity.

Last year, Settlement and National Projects Minister Orit Strock — a politician from Smotrich’s Religious Zionism party — told residents of a newly recognized West Bank settlement that she was delighted by the "miracle period" of settlement expansion ushered in by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

Top Trump official Waltz: Iran must fully dismantle nuke program, not only curb enrichment
[IsraelTimes] After US special envoy to the Mideast Steve Witkoff said Friday that President Donald Trump, in his letter to Iran’s supreme leader, proposed creating a program to verify that Tehran does not weaponize its nuclear material, US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz clarifies that Washington wants Iran’s nuclear program dismantled completely.

“Full dismantlement,” Waltz tells CBS’s “Face the Nation,” after being asked to clarify the Trump administration’s position. “Iran has to give up its program in a way that the entire world can see.”

“All options are on the table, and it is time for Iran to walk away completely from its desire to have a nuclear weapon,” he adds.

Asked about the recent US strikes against the Houthis, Waltz says they have killed key members of the Yemen rebel group’s leadership.

“We’ve hit their headquarters, we’ve hit communications nodes, weapons factories, and even some of their over-the-water drone production facilities just in the last couple of days,” he says, knocking the previous administration for not responding forcefully enough against the Iran-backed group.

Waltz says the Houthis continue to threaten key shipping lanes through the Red Sea. “The last time one of our destroyers went through the straits there, it was attacked 23 times. “Keeping trade and commerce open is a fundamental aspect of our national security,” he adds.
