[NYPOST] A sick Maryland woman has been found guilty of murdering her mother — then getting her daughter to help hack up the body and try to get rid of it by grilling parts on a garden barbecue.
Candace Craig, 45, was on Friday found guilty after an eight-day trial of first-degree murder, second-degree murder and tampering with evidence and disposing of a body in an unauthorized place, WUSA9 reported.
Her 71-year-old mom, Margaret Craig, had confronted her for committing credit card fraud in June 2023 — and was choked to death when she threatened to turn in her daughter to the police.
Candace Craig then roped in one of her own three children, 19-year-old daughter Salia Hardy, to dispose of the body, with the teen testifying against her mom after pleading guilty earlier this year to her own role in the gruesome crime.
Hardy said she found her grandmother's body stuffed inside a blue plastic container in her bedroom in Hyattsville — and then helped her mom chop up the body with a chainsaw and then try to dispose of some of it by grilling body parts on a grill in the backyard.
The grandma had already been dead for more than a week when police found her rotting remains while conducting a welfare check after alarmed neighbors reported not seeing her.
The killer daughter allowed officers into the home and basement — where they immediately smelled ''decomposition'' and saw blood spatter around white plastic trash bags.
The bags held ''what appeared to be brain matter'' and Margaret Craig's mutilated remains — with cops also finding cutting tools and a chainsaw, with the latter still covered with human remains.

See birth control is sometimes better than children. If only tgat poor lady could have known what that child she nurtured would become in advance, she would never have been born
[NY Post] Of course there's awesome video.
Horrifying live TV coverage of a Peruvian soccer match caught the moment several players were knocked to the ground by lightning — with one killed in a direct strike.
The footage showed players and refs slowly walking off the field at Coto Coto stadium in Chilca when Sunday’s game between Juventud Bellavista and Familia Chocca was suspended in the first half because of the storm warning, according to the Telegraph.
With a sudden crack, at least eight players fell forward like tipped dominoes — with a flash directly hitting two of them on the right of the screen.
Jose Hugo de la Cruz Meza, a 39-year-old defender, was killed, while goalkeeper Juan Chocca Llacta, 40, was rushed to a local hospital with severe burns.
Two teenagers and a 24-year-old man were also injured, but are listed as being in stable condition, reports said.
De La Cruz Meza may have taken the killer strike because of his bracelet, officials believe.
"It was like a magnet," said Cesar Ramos, who is in charge of the area’s civil defense.
Photos later captured scorch marks on the field near where the players landed, the outlet said.

[NY Post] Pay attention to meeee!
North Korea fired a barrage of short-range ballistic missiles into the sea on Tuesday, its neighbors said, as it continued its weapons demonstrations hours before the U.S. presidential election.
Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani said at least seven North Korean missiles flew as far as 400 kilometers (250 miles) with a maximum altitude of 100 kilometers (60 miles).
He said they landed in the waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. "We aimed for the sea, and we hit it!"
“North Korea’s actions, including a series of repeated missile launches, threaten the peace and safety of Japan, the region and the international community,” Nakatani said.
South Korea’s military also detected several missile launches by North Korea and subsequently boosted its surveillance posture.

[NY Post] Unionized machinists at Boeing voted Monday to accept a contract offer and end their strike after more than seven weeks, clearing the way for the aerospace giant to resume production of its bestselling airliner and generate much-needed cash.
Leaders of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers district in Seattle said 59% of members who cast ballots agreed to approve the company’s fourth formal offer and the third put to a vote.
The deal includes pay raises of 38% over four years, and ratification and productivity bonuses.
However, Boeing refused to meet strikers’ demand to restore a company pension plan that was frozen nearly a decade ago.
The contract’s ratification on the eve of Election Day clears the way for a major US manufacturer and government contractor to restart Pacific Northwest assembly lines that the factory workers’ walkout have idled for 53 days.

Hmmm!? I noticed no Boeing planes fell out of the sky in that 7 weeks.
… Gabbard: This election really isn't about the left versus the right. It's about we, the people, choosing our government and the choice between freedom versus tyranny.
RFK: Nobody has a chronic disease burden like we have. Why are we allowing this to happen to our children? Ultimately, the only thing that will save our country is if we choose to love our kids more than we hate each other.
Shanahan: What is going on here is deeper than politics. It is deeply spiritual. We are being called to rise above the hatred and the fear and the evil.
JD Vance: We need to remember above and beyond that we must love our neighbors, that we must treat other people as we hope to be treated.
Ramaswamy: You wanna be a rebel? You wanna be a hippie? You wanna stick it to the man? Show up on your college campus and try calling yourself a conservative.

[ACLU] ATLANTA - This afternoon, the Georgia Supreme Court denied relief for Cobb County voters who requested absentee ballots on time but did not receive them on time due to the county’s failure to mail them promptly. The lower court had ruled that an extension of the absentee receipt deadline was necessary in order to protect these voters’ constitutional right to vote, but the Georgia Supreme Court stayed that ruling, removing the relief that the lower court had ordered. The November 8 extension deadline that the earlier order had issued is no longer in effect.
As a result, all Cobb County voters affected by the County’s late mailing of absentee ballots must now vote in person or get their ballots to the Cobb County Elections office by 7 p.m. on November 5 (Election Day). The office is at 995 Roswell St. NE, Marietta, GA 30060.

Actually, they were taken to the hospital for routine exams. One of them (unnamed) was in a condition calling for holding, so they held them all. No explanations.
