[NEWSBUSTERS] Last week in this space the focus was on Time magazine's glorification of now Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day The point was that the then-current cover of Time - an illustration of Harris that, as noted, presented her as ''a cross somewhere between Miss America and a religious icon'' - was in reality an illustration of just how the ''mainstream media'' was thoroughly in the tank for Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... and the Left in general, and, this election year, Harris in particular.
A week later, the New York Post is headlining another story about Time - a story that might be seen as reporting on the consequences for Time for tilting so visibly for Democrats.
The Post headline:
Time cuts 22 staffers at magazine, cites 'significant challenges' across media industry
The Post story reports:
Time is slashing 22 jobs as the volatile media environment continues to squeeze the iconic magazine.
Time chief executive officer Jessica Sibley said Tuesday that the company is slashing roles across several departments including editorial, technology, sales & marketing and Time Studios.
In a memo obtained by The Post, Sibley told staffers: ''It is incredibly hard to say goodbye to our talented colleagues; we are deeply grateful for their contributions to Time's culture, mission and legacy, and we will closely support them through this period of transition.'' "Security will help them pack their personal effects"
The CEO said the decision was made so that the company can build a ''sustainable'' future due to headwinds facing the industry and economic uncertainty.
—A rep for Time declined to comment on the company's headcount.
Time magazine was under fire earlier this month for its fawning cover story featuring Vice President Kamala Harris, despite her refusing an interview with the publication. Conservatives ripped the piece over the absence of Harris' voice and the vice president's opaque policy agenda.''
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” ― H.L. Mencken
[Epoch Times] In an announcement on Aug. 19, the federal health agency stated that it is trying to "increase awareness of vaccines" for influenza, COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus, more commonly known as RSV.
"Respiratory illness from flu, COVID-19, and RSV viruses usually surge during colder weather and can cause severe disease, hospitalization, and even death," HHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Jeffery Nesbit said in a statement.
While the agency did not provide specific data on the vaccines, Nesbit noted that HHS’s goal for the coming months is to "increase confidence in vaccines that play an important role in preventing severe illness from these viruses and to provide the information that the American people need to make the decision to get vaccinated this fall and winter." Increase confidence? By censoring the continuing reports of problems?
The campaign, titled "Risk Less. Do More," will use paid advertising and "media coverage" on television, social media, radio, print, and other platforms, it stated. The federal agency will also work with local and state health agencies and organizations "to ensure all audiences have access to information from sources they trust," according to the statement. Trust the government's ad campaign? Try talking to your doctor. Mine are not pushing the new shots. They did recommend a shot for Hepatitis A and Hep B.
In recent months, COVID-19 cases have seen an uptick, with wastewater data provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) showing cases at "very high" levels in 32 states. However, despite the recent rise, deaths from COVID-19 remain near all-time lows in recent months, according to the CDC’s historical data. I suppose wastewater data included people who were unaware they had COVID.
The vaccine campaign also comes as mRNA vaccine makers Pfizer and BioNTech stated last week that their combined flu and COVID-19 vaccine faltered in a late-stage trial, finding the combination shot failed to meet one of the study’s two main goals and that they are evaluating the next steps.

Good luck with that.
Too much REAL Factual Data on the adverse actions and deadly consequences of too many 2020+ Vaccines has seen the light.
Add to that.
People being locked up or disappearing after releasing the real VAX data.
Or like a plane carrying a group of Cancer Researchers & Doctors CRASHING. The group was headed to a conference to present data that detailed how m-RNA based Vax's are the root of recent cancers swarms, and are now even defeating some commonly used Chemo-treatments.
QUESTION:
When well the Leaders and planners of this mass murder be brought to Trial?
Apparently getting endorsements from people you might give jobs to is a Federal crime, not business as usual.
[MSN] Former President Donald Trump has been accused of a new federal crime by social media users who claim that he promised former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a position in his administration if he's reelected for his endorsement.
On Friday, Kennedy Jr. dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump, the GOP presidential nominee. Later that night, he joined Trump at a campaign rally in Glendale, Arizona.
Meanwhile, Kennedy Jr.'s campaign officials told the Post in an August 14 report that he sought a meeting with Harris the week before to discuss a possible role in her administration if he supported her. The report said that the vice president did not show any interest in meeting with Kennedy Jr., according to people familiar with the matter.
And of course former prosecutor Kamala Harris declined to meet with RFK Jr.," wrote Tristan Snell, a lawyer and legal commentator who prosecuted the 2013 civil case filed by the New York attorney general's office against Trump University, a real estate training program created by Trump in the early 2000s.
[PJMedia] The Russian messaging App Telegram could be the last relic from a time when the internet was the wild, wild west. Anyone can use the encrypted messaging app, including terrorists, drug dealers, and low lifes of all sorts.
But Telegram has also served as one of the only sources of uncensored news in Russia where many of their 900 million users reside. It's also available in Ukraine and oppressive societies around the world.
The CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov, has been a marked man in Western Europe for allowing all of this freedom to go on without a sufficient number of moderators. The French struck first, arresting Durov when he landed in France on his private jet.
French authorities are being very tight-lipped about their special prisoner. Aside from vague references to the lack of moderators and non-cooperation with authorities, specific charges have not been filed against Durov. He may be indicted as early as Sunday.
Elon Musk referred to Durov's arrest, sarcastically calling it an "ad for the First Amendment."
A poster on X gave a thumbnail bio of Durov.
Pavel reminds me of you. He is not bought.
This guy is kind of a genius. 100% equity, billion users, no marketing, 30 engineers, no HR department, based out of UAE because he wanted to be neutral. Big free speech guy. Owns nothing. Loves his freedom more than money. Raised…

In an interview with Tucker Carlson earlier this year, Durov spoke of the interest shown in Telegram by U.S. law enforcement.
🚨 PAVEL DUROV: THE U.S. WANTED TO CONTROL TELEGRAM BETTER
“We get too much attention from the FBI and other security agencies whenever we come to the U.S.
The last time I was in the U.S., I brought an engineer who works for Telegram.

“I would rather be free than to take orders from anyone,” Durov told U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson in April about his exit from Russia and search for a home for his company. Durov ended up in the United Arab Emirates.
NBC News:
Durov, whose fortune was estimated by Forbes at $15.5 billion, said some governments had sought to pressure him but the app should remain a “neutral platform” and not a “player in geopolitics”.
Telegram’s increasing popularity, however, has prompted scrutiny from several countries in Europe, including France, on security and data breach concerns.
Russia’s representative to international organisations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, and several other Russian politicians were quick on Sunday to accuse France of acting as a dictatorship — the same criticism that Moscow faced when putting demands on Durov in 2014 and trying to ban Telegram in 2018.
What I know of Durov, he's not the kind of person to take this lying down. If they want to hold a trial on freedom of speech, he will embrace it and expose the authorities as the jack-booted thugs they are.

I would be utterly unsurprised if this had more to do with various governments being unable to access encrypted private chats than kiddie pr0n and terrorism. Can't have the peasants exchanging illegal thoughts and casting aspersions on the regime.
And yes, #1 is snarky. Unless we are talking the super-secret encrypted Rantburg.
[Miami Independent] PINELLAS COUNTY BREAKING: Thousands Of Undeliverable 'Vote By Mail' Ballots Were Cast On Aug 20 Primary Election
According to data obtained from the Florida Secretary of State's office, and run through the National Change of Address and USPS systems, thousands of ballots that were undeliverable have been found to have been cast during the Aug 20 primary election in Pinellas County.
The data was run through investigate journalist Peter Bernegger's 'Titan' system to match ballots listed as undeliverable, and still cast.
In one specific example, 6,375 ballots were cast where the voter had moved permanently out of state, and no longer able to vote in Florida elections. The ballots should have been returned as undeliverable.
In another example, 3,515 ballots were cast for voters who had moved and left no forwarding address.
In other words, there is no way these voters would have been able to cast a ballot that was never received.
These are just two examples of many more thousands of ballots that were listed as undeliverable.
Somehow, these ballots were harvested and cast.
This does not take into account ballots that could have been harvested from people unaware they 'requested' a ballot on June 23rd, when 219k 'mail-in ballots' were requested on a Sunday, when the PInellas elections office was closed.
Hundreds of affidavits have been collected from voters declaring they never requested a 'mail-in ballot' but still received one.
Requesting a ballot in someone else's name is illegal and a felony in Florida.
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced on Wednesday that he has referred evidence of nearly 600 noncitizen voters in the state to Attorney General Dave Yost’s office for possible prosecution, with some of those voters already casting ballots in the state.
"I’m duty-bound to make sure people who haven’t yet earned citizenship in this country do not vote in our elections," LaRose said in a blurb. "We’ve so far identified 597 individuals who’ve registered to vote in Ohio despite not being citizens of the United States, as our state constitution requires."
"The evidence includes 138 individuals who appear to have cast a ballot in an Ohio election during the time state and federal records show they lacked citizenship status. The law requires me to refer these individuals to the attorney general, and that’s what we’re doing today."
LaRose launched an audit of Ohio’s voter registration database earlier in 2024, which resulted in the removal of 15,995 registrations that were confirmed to be inactive or abandoned for a period of at least four consecutive years.
LaRose also undertook the "most extensive citizenship verification audit ever conducted by the Ohio Secretary of State’s office" which included cross-checking with records provided by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security’s federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements database, federal jury pool data, and other resources.
The investigation into the citizenship status of voters remains ongoing, LaRose’s office said, and additional removals may occur before the election in November. Under state law, the secretary of state is allowed to "investigate the administration of election laws, frauds, and irregularities in elections in any county, and report violations of election laws to the attorney general or prosecuting attorney, or both, for prosecution."
This comes as other states, including Alabama and Texas, have also found noncitizens on their voter rolls and Republicans have been pushing to secure the 2024 election amid record numbers of illegal immigration in the US.
[Breitbart] Democrat vice-presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) was caught inflating his background and making it seem like Harvard University was behind a teaching program in China in which he participated, according to a recent report.
A report from the Washington Free Beacon found that Walz had lied about being “named the Outstanding Young Nebraskan by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce,” and seemingly implying that Harvard University was behind a teaching program, and had picked Walz for “an opportunity” to teach in China through a university program. The program, WorldTeach, was founded in 1986 by several graduates from Harvard University, according to the organization’s LinkedIn page.
Both lies appear in his biography in an archived version of his campaign website in 2006 as he was running for Congress.
This comes after Walz previously falsely claimed that his children were conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF), claimed that he had carried weapons of war “in war,” and that he had retired as a “command sergeant major” when he had actually retired as a Master Sergeant.
“With his teaching degree complete, Harvard University offered Walz an opportunity to gain a new perspective on global education by teaching in the People’s Republic of China,” Walz’s biography on the archived website says. “Working in China during 1989-1990, Walz was a member of one of the first government sanctioned groups of American educators to teach in Chinese high schools.”
The outlet noted that Walz’s congressional biography had allegedly “said the same thing,” and that a 2018 biography allegedly implied that Walz had been teaching in China through the WorldTeach program, “a program at Harvard University.”
The program in question is the WorldTeach program, a nonprofit founded by Harvard undergraduates, including the Nobel Prize-winning economist Michael Kremer, in 1986. For a time, the program was funded by Harvard’s Phillips Brooks House Association, which the Harvard Crimson has characterized as “a student-run community service group” that disburses resources to an array of nonprofit organizations and facilitates volunteerism for Harvard students. WorldTeach, which is currently dormant, does not appear to have ever been an official program of Harvard.
A 2001 article in the Harvard Gazette notes that WorldTeach, which began as a “student-run organization,” was “sponsored by the Center for International Development (CID)” and was “an independent nonprofit organization.”
WorldTeach got its start as a student-run organization in the Phillips Brooks House 15 years ago. Although it is sponsored by the Center for International Development (CID), WorldTeach is now an independent nonprofit organization. The center finances eight spots for Harvard students in WorldTeach’s 2-year-old summer undergraduate internship.
(The Center Square) — Gov. J.B. Pritzker used the spotlight at the Democratic National Convention to highlight the successes of Illinois and the Democratic Party, but the president of a nonprofit think tank says the numbers don’t add up.
Pritzker said there is no better place to see that change is possible under Democratic leadership than in Illinois. Democrats currently hold the super-majority in the Illinois legislature.
"If you look at the statistics, we are at the bottom of the barrel for most things that matter to most people," said Ted Dabrowski, president of Wirepoints. "When it comes to jobs, incomes and economic growth, safety, all those things."
Pritzker claimed that Democrats are champions of jobs, but as Dabrowski points out, there are 85,000 fewer Illinoisans employed today than when Pritzker took office five years ago, and the state’s unemployment rate is the second-worst in the country.
"We don’t have business-friendly laws, our pension debt is the biggest in the country and it sucks up a lot of money so it makes our economy worse," said Dabrowski. "We have a lot of corruption, of course, too many units of government, all those things get in the way of companies doing what they do best and that is hiring and growing."
Data from the Economic Policy Institute shows that Illinois’ Black unemployment rate is at a staggering 8.8%, which is the third worst behind only Kentucky and Ohio.
"Governor Pritzker, Mayor Johnson, all of them are so obsessed about equity, and they keep using the terms equity and progressive values, but if you look at what their policies do to minorities, it’s really sad," said Dabrowski.
Dabrowski notes that Illinois has had the 3rd-biggest loss of population since the last decennial count was completed in 2020, with a drop of more than 240,000 people. On the other hand, Texas and Florida gained more than 1 million in population over the three years.
