[GISTMANIA] Hundreds of terrorists, criminals, and narcos have beat feet from Koutoukalé Prison in Niger Republic.
The prison, located near the capital city of Niamey, was the scene of a violent mostly peaceful mutiny on Thursday that overwhelmed guards and allowed inmates to escape with weapons and vehicles.
According to eyewitness accounts, gunshots and explosions were heard from inside the prison around midday, prompting a quick response from security forces.
However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... it was reported that the inmates had already gained control of the prison, breaking through armored gates, barbed wire, and trenches.
It was gathered that two previous attempts by holy warriors to attack the prison had been thwarted.
The country’s Interior Minister reportedly issued a radio message to all governors, confirming the escape and urging village chiefs and religious leaders to report any suspicious individuals.
A curfew has been declared in the Tillabéri region, and the entire River Niger region is on high alert.

[Jpost] Yemen's Houthi terror organization said on Sunday they had conducted two military operations, one in the Gulf of Aden and one in Eilat at the southern tip of Israel.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group had targeted the Israeli ship MSC UNIFIC
…which sails under the Liberian flag, if that means anything…
in the Gulf of Aden with ballistic missiles and drones in addition to attacking military targets in Eilat with drones.
The spokesperson said that the latest Houthi operations came in response to the Israeli airstrike on Khan Yunis on Saturday, an attack which claimed the lives of at least 90 Palestinians and wounded 300 others, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.
US CENTRAL COMMAND STATEMENTS
Separately, the US Central Command said in a statement on Sunday that it has "destroyed two Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAV) over the Red Sea and one uncrewed surface vessel (USV) in the Red Sea," as well as "one Houthi UAV in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen."
"It was determined these systems presented an imminent threat to US, coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region," US Central Command added.

Disgraceful that the Houthis are still doing this.
It is now about 7 months from the start of Operation Prosperity Guardian and about 6 months since the first USA attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen itself.

[Jpost] The Houthis have been searching for a missing ship that “disappeared” in the Red Sea, according to reports at the UAE-based Al-Ain media. “For the third day, the Houthis are mobilizing their groups, patrols and reconnaissance drones in the Red Sea in search of a missing boat carrying ‘valuable catch’ that was scheduled to arrive in [Yemen’s] Hodeidah,” the report said.
Iran has been smuggling weapons and expertise needed to develop long-range precision missiles and drones to the Houthis for many years. In some cases, ships destined for Yemen have been interdicted by the US Navy and other navies that patrol off the coast. In those cases, the boats are usually disguised as commercial vessels. These types of commercial vessels may also not be very sea worthy and they can disappear in rough seas. Iran’s navy has also suffered recent setbacks.
One of its warships, the Sahand, capsized in the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas on July 7. It is one of several recent Iranian naval accidents.
According to the report at Al-Ain, security sources in Yemen “revealed to Al-Ain that the terrorist Houthi militias lost contact with a large transport boat that was on a smuggling mission via a regular sea route from the Horn of Africa countries to the coasts of the governorate overlooking the Red Sea.” The vessel was also carrying “foreign experts” and military materials for the manufacture of missiles and materials for the manufacture of explosives. It was supposed to arrive in Yemen on Friday but disappeared on Saturday.
In response the Houthis have mobilized along the coast. The Houthis do not have a large navy but they have small boats. In many cases they have used small boats as kamikaze boats to attack ships in the Red Seal. The Houthis also have drones. The Houthis mobilized fishing boats to search for the vessel. However, fishing boats don’t have the technology or range necessarily to conduct searches of this kind.
The Houthis have not asked for outside assistance and it does not appear a distress call was monitored from the smuggling vessel. The reports from Yemen say that “military personnel of non-Yemeni nationalities,” were on the ship. It was not clear if these were Iranians or other supporters of the Houthis. Iran has sent IRGC members in the past to back the Houthis.
HOUTHIS BELIEVE US INVOLVED IN BOAT'S DISAPPEARANCE
The Houthis, in urgent meetings, expressed concern that the ship may have been targeted by the US-backed Prosperity Guardian mission that is designed to protect ships in the Red Sea from Houthi attacks. The Houthis are concerned that the ship may have been interdicted by US or European navies. “The large transport boat may have fallen into the hands of the Americans," sources told Al-Ain.
The missing vessel is described as very valuable to the Houthis who have been attacking international shipping for nine months in support of Hamas. Al-Ain claimed that some sources they spoke to believe that "the loss of this boat comes after Washington and international naval forces intensified their pursuit of Iranian arms shipments smuggled to the militias, while arresting the foreign military experts on board the boat, if it is stopped by American forces, would provide the best way to map the smuggling routes used by Tehran to transport weapons to the Houthis."
The report also is supposed to add evidence to the smuggling of weapons and munitions to the Houthis. This is apparently also happening from countries in the Horn of Africa, which illustrates a new route that is potentially developing to back the Houthis. It was not immediately clear which countries this refers to. The weapons flow to ports in Yemen such as Al-Salif, Al-Ain claimed. The smuggled weapons are unloaded and night and make their way to Houthi forces in the area.
In addition to the Houthi search for the missing vessel, US Central Command said on July 14 that “in the past 24 hours, US Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces successfully destroyed two Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAV) over the Red Sea and one uncrewed surface vessel (USV) in the Red Sea.” The uncrewed surface vessels are Houthi kamikaze boats that the Houthis have recently been using more frequently in attacks.

Selections from the Daily Mail Liveblog:
Donald Trump has vowed to attend the Republican Convention on Monday in Milwaukee, one day after he was nearly assassinated by a 20-year-old in Pennsylvania - while new details begin to emerge about the abhorrent security failures that took place.
According to sources, a police officer backed away when the would-be assassin pointed a rifle at him, just moments before he then fired in Trump's direction, clipping his ear.
Trump announced he will not be delaying his Wisconsin trip - less than 24 hours after he was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks from a rooftop 130 yards away.
15:48 Local police officer came face-to-face with would-be assassin but backed away, sources say
Not long before shots rang out, rally-goers noticed a man climbing to the top of a roof of a nearby building and warned local law enforcement, according to two law enforcement officials.
One officer climbed to the roof and encountered Crooks, who pointed his rifle at the officer. The officer retreated down the ladder and Crooks quickly took a shot toward former President Donald Trump, just 130 yards away. That’s when the U.S. Secret Service counter snipers shot him, said the officials who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.
According to Butler County Sheriff Michael T. Slupe, the officer was 'gripping the roof's edge' when confronted by Crooks' rifle. Because of his position, he did not have a gun with him and had to drop back to the ground.
'He lets go because he doesn’t want to get killed,' Slupe told the Washington Post.
'The guy is a f***ing cop, come on man!'
Many damning and terrifying questions remain unanswered after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump that is being described as an enormous security failure.
The FBI has launched a probe into what happened in the moments leading to the assassination attempt and President Biden declared he is also directing an 'independent review' of national security.
There are also allegations that Trump's team asked for more protection on the campaign but was rebuffed. The Secret Service has since denied those claims, but the agency is still under immense scrutiny for what has been called an 'absolute failure.'
And Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., became the first lawmaker to say that the director of Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle 'needs to go.'

Would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was rejected from his high school rifle team because he was a 'terrible shot,' it has emerged. Jameson Myers, who attended school with Crooks, told ABC News:
He didn't just not make the team, he was asked not to come back because of how bad of a shot he was, it was considered like, dangerous.
Another former member of the rifle team said Crooks 'wasn't really fit for the rifle team; and 'he also shot terrible.'
17:19 Secret Service says NO change in GOP Convention security plans after gunman tried to shoot Trump
U.S. Secret Service says it does not plan to make any changes to 'operational security plans' for the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this week. Despite the assassination attempt on Saturday against former President Donald Trump, the USSS insists it is 'confident' in the current plan.
Regarding the request from Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) to prohibit firearms in the 'soft perimeter' of the Convention, Chief of Milwaukee Police Jeffrey Norman said they cannot superceded state open and conceal carry laws. Norman said at a briefing in Milwaukee on Sunday:
Our state law allows for the particular right to carry a firearm. We as a city cannot legislate out of that… In regards to our law enforcement aspect, we have to operate within those guidelines, unless it's something that is against state law. We have to respect Second Amendment right carry your firearm, especially in regards to open carry or carry and conceal if you're licensed.
16:36 Pennsylvania police identify the two victims injured in the Trump assassination attempt
The identities of the two rally goers critically injured in the assassination attempt against Donald Trump are now revealed. Pennsylvania State Police identified David Dutch, 57, of New Kensington and James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon Township as the two individuals shot when a gunman tried to take out the former president at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Both were injured and taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dutch and Copenhaver are in 'stable' condition, according to the police statement.
16:05 FBI investigating Trump shooting as 'potential domestic terrorism'
The FBI said that the attempt to shoot Donald Trump was being investigated as a potential act of domestic terrorism. They added that the shooter acted alone and had no known ideology.
'We are investigating this as an assassination attempt, but also looking at it as a potential domestic terrorism act,' said Robert Wells, assistant director of the FBI counterterrorism division.
15:26 Senate Democrats' campaign arm pauses ads and fundraising
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) has paused advertisements and digital fundraising for the time being, a DSCC aide confirmed to DailyMail.com. It comes amid a bipartisan movement to 'turn down the temperature' with political rhetoric after the shooting.
15:17 Trump's campaign and NRCC halt digital fundraising in aftermath of rally shooting
Donald Trump's 2024 campaign and has stalled its digital fundraising in the wake of the assassination attempt against the former president, according to a person familiar with the matter that spoke with CNBC.
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) also paused its digital ad push.
It's unclear when the digital fundraising will start up again.
The news comes after President Joe Biden's reelection campaign temporarily paused its efforts after the horrific shooting that left two dead – the gunman and a rally goer – and two others in critical condition.

13:26 GoFundMe appeal rockets past $1.5M
A GoFundMe page set up by a Trump staffer to help the families of those killed or wounded in the shooting has raised more than $1.5 million in little more than 15 hours. It was set up Meredith O'Rourke, the campaign's national finance director, and endorsed by Trump himself.
Among the top donors are musician Kid Rock and UFC CEO Dana White, who both contributed $50,000 to the cause. Former 2024 Republican hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy sent $30,000 to help and conservative personality Ben Shapiro donated $15,000.
12:08 Classmate describes Trump gunman as a 'loner'
The first classmate of gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks spoke with local reporters. He described Crooks, who went to Bethel Park High School as a loner who was bullied relentlessly. He also said he wore 'hunting' outfits often in class.
10:52 'Explosive devices' found in Trump gunman's car
Donald Trump's would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks had explosive devices in the car he drove to the Pennsylvania rally and used a gun purchased by his father. Authorities found the devices in his vehicle after he was shot and killed by Secret Service agents, moments after he opened fire on the former president, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The 20-year-old used an AR-style firearm that was legally purchased by his father to carry out the attempted assassination against the former president.
Neighbors who spoke to DailyMail.com said Crooks' family is quiet and keeps to themselves.
The vehicle driven by Crooks on Saturday was parked near the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania and police say they received multiple reports of suspicious packages. This prompted police to dispatch bomb technicians.
Crooks' home was searched and authorities spoke with his family.

“We are investigating this as an assassination attempt, but also looking at it as a potential domestic terrorism act,” Robert Wells, assistant director of the FBI counterterrorism division, tells reporters.
The gun used in the attempted assassination was an “AR-style 556 rifle” that was purchased legally, FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek tells reporters.
Authorities believe the semi-automatic weapon was bought by the shooter’s father, but do not yet know how he accessed the weapon or whether he took it without his father’s knowledge, the FBI says.
The FBI says it has not yet identified any ideology ascribed to the shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was shot dead by Secret Service agents yesterday.
Trump pledges to fight 'evil'
[RT] Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... has vowed not to swerve from his course and to take on "evil," following Saturday’s liquidation attempt on his life during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The former president also called on Americans to show unity in the face of political violence.
Several shots were fired during Trump’s speech, with one bullet grazing the politician’s right ear. The GOP hopeful was eventually whisked offstage by Secret Service agents and moved to a "safe" place. One of the event’s attendees was fatally shot, with another two sustaining serious injuries. Authorities later reported that the 20-year-old suspected shooter, who is believed to have taken up position on a nearby rooftop, was shot and killed.
In a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, Trump thanked "everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday," adding that "it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening."
"We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness," the former president insisted.
The Republican presidential hopeful also argued that "it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win."
Trump also extended condolences to the family of the person in the crowd at the event who was "horribly killed" by the shots , and wished the maimed individuals a speedy recovery.
"I truly love our Country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin," the former president concluded.
A sniper would not have missed. 150yrds is nothing
He might have done better had he not been distracted by the policeman climbing up the ladder to the roof. Separately, where is the evidence that this man was a member of Antifa? Mark Violets, earlier mistakenly identified as the killer, was definitely Antifa, but this one seems oddly passive for Black Bloc type..

Local police officer came face-to-face with would-be assassin but backed away
If I understand the timeline correctly, right after the officer ducked down things jumped off and the shooting started, so not a lot of time to do anything.
Looking at the geography of the site, it took a bit of planning and forethought to pull this off. You need to pick a good firing position, you need a ladder to get up on the roof, and somehow get the rifle through security or pre-position it in a way that won't be discovered in a (presumed) pre-event sweep.
tl;dr: a 20 year old without formal training managed to outfox security professionals. Makes you wonder if he had some help.
Never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence.
So far from what I have seen of the police and USS response, it was a complete shit show and an example of how NOT to secure a site, place security and extract the VIP. Several people who privately do this for a living are extremely critical of their performance.
But, I'm also not saying that wasn't intentional to put the Jr Varsity squad out there deliberately.
#15
The EFFBEYE needs to focus on the ladder, it is the lynchpin of the planning for the shot. Where did it come from, when was it placed there, was is ignored by the security sweep, if not who placed it and how.
Its hard to imagine it was just dumb luck the shooter noticed it at the last minute.
#16
Shame on SS for relying on the unidentified "officer" most likely a parking lot security guard. I heard him referred elsewhere as a "township" officer, most likely untrained other than for directing traffic at events.
#17
Policeman climbing ladder may not be correct; may have been climbing another policeman's shoulders, and thus had no means of doing other than observe (only on tv could cops climb with one hand or/and gun in their teeth.) And then he fell backward when confronted with a rifle at short range....
#20
There is no excuse for the lack of a police lookout on top of this roof, also the lack of a lookout on top of the nearby water tower which overlooks the shooter's location. It will be interesting to later read how these omissions are dealt with.
No news about where this "ladder" was. Photos of the area omit this AFAICT. It's location is vital. A vast number of roofs like this one already have ladders installed to make maintenance possible.
Some accounts of the minutes leading up to the shooting refer to the shooter being seen on the ground carrying a long gun. This was before he was seen climbing on the roof.
The whole venue seems far too risky a spot for a Trump rally.
The rooftop where a gunman shot at former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally was identified by the U.S. Secret Service as a potential vulnerability
Anyone with a basic outline of the venue could have used Google Earth to identify this vulnerability. From looking at the media, many did that very shortly after the incident, the diagrams/photos match what Google Earth produces.
It's very hard to prove a negative like this statement. Unless a lucky fact pops up, we may never know.
One thing we could possibly learn is how much range time Crooks got at the sports club he belonged to.
I am assuming (yeah, I know) that if he did a stint in the infantry or worked in law enforcement, that we would have heard about it by now. (training as a cook does not count!)
[Regnum] There are at least five oddities in the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump. The authors of " Military Chronicle " drew attention to this.
It is noted that before the politician's speech, the Secret Service was supposed to check all possible points from which shooting could be carried out, but it appears that this was not done.
In addition, eyewitnesses warned the police that a man with a gun was trying to get onto the roof of the building, but these statements were ignored.
"130 meters is not the longest distance. At that distance, you don't need to make adjustments for wind or use powerful optics - what you can buy at your local gun store is enough. This suggests that the shooter had very low qualifications, and this is what saved Trump," the statement said.
The authors also note that the low qualifications of the criminal are indicated by his use of an AR-15 rifle with a magazine for 15-20 rounds. The shooter fired five shots, meaning he had 10-15 rounds left, but he did not use them - he was either scared or had already been eliminated.
In addition, the actions of the Secret Service, whose snipers were nearby and should have noticed the man with the gun and neutralized him before the shot was fired, raise questions, but this was done only after the bullet damaged Trump's ear.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on July 13, an assassination attempt was made on Trump at a rally of supporters in the city of Butler, Pennsylvania. The former American leader interrupted his speech and hid behind the podium, after which he was moved to a safe place. Trump reported that he was wounded in the ear, which is why he lost a lot of blood.
The suspect in the shooting was killed, an AR-type rifle was found at the scene. The FBI identified the suspect in the shooting as 20-year-old Pennsylvania resident Thomas Matthew Crooks. Before the attack, he recorded a video in which he said he hated Republicans and Trump.
Oh? I missed that. Did he say why?
The assassination attempt on Trump may be the work of American intelligence services. This opinion was expressed by Dmitry Suslov, Deputy Director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics and an expert at the Valdai Club. He noted that Joe Biden's chances of winning have sharply weakened after the failed debates and numerous reservations, so it is possible that American intelligence services could have resorted to such a favorite tool for preventing unwanted candidates from coming to power as assassination attempts.
More from regnum.ru Expert names mistakes in Trump's security organization at Pennsylvania rally
Those responsible for the security of former US President Donald Trump, who was assassinated in Pennsylvania on July 13, made several significant mistakes, said Pyotr Fefelov, an expert in the field of integrated security at the Vityaz Group of Companies.
“In fact, I just watched this video again and, unfortunately, I didn’t see any use of armored folders or even umbrellas that would block visual contact,” Fefelov said in an interview with RT.
He explained that if those responsible for Trump's security had blocked visual contact, the attacker would not have seen the politician. The relevant service should have identified and controlled all possible firing points in advance of the event.
The bodyguards also behaved impeccably when they stood around Trump and raised their hands after the shots were fired. This would not have been an obstacle for a sniper.
“Yes, at first they dropped him and covered him with their own bodies, but then they allowed him to stand up so that his face and head could be seen,” Fefilov noted.
This was wrong, because there might not have been just one shooter, and they could have started shooting from a completely different place and at a different angle to the potential victim.
The expert noted that as a result, a lot of questions arise about the level of Trump’s security, given his status.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, an assassination attempt on Trump was made on July 13 at a rally in the city of Butler. When Trump was speaking to his supporters, shots were fired. A bullet hit the politician in the upper part of his right ear. Two people who were in the area of the podium were also wounded, and another died.
Trump turned his head to the right before the shot, and the bullet only grazed his ear. The politician immediately ducked, and the guards rushed to cover him. A little over a minute later, Trump stood up and raised his fist. Blood was visible on his face. The guards took the politician to the car.
The suspect in the assassination attempt was eliminated, and security forces found an AR-type rifle at the crime scene. As it turned out, the shooter at Trump was 20-year-old Pennsylvania resident Thomas Matthew Crooks, who had previously recorded a video stating his hatred of Trump and the Republican Party.
The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov expressed condolences to the family of the deceased on behalf of the Russian leadership and wished recovery to all those who suffered as a result of the assassination attempt. The Kremlin representative recalled that Moscow has always condemned any manifestations of violence.
Even more from regnum.ru Russian Foreign Ministry on assassination attempt on Trump: US has brought democracy to a suicidal state
The United States of America has brought democracy to a suicidal state. This was stated on July 14 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.
She drew attention to the fact that all American media and commentators, speaking about the assassination attempt on Trump, vied with each other to note that this is a “threat to American democracy.”
"That's it, so the threat is internal, not external. I would just clarify that this is American democracy, which has been brought to a suicidal state by liberalism," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

Zakharova previously noted that attempts on the lives of presidents have already become a tradition in the domestic political life of the United States.
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that after numerous attempts to remove Trump from the political arena, it was obvious that his life was in danger. He drew attention to the fact that the US political system is such that it has repeatedly presented the world with examples of domestic violence in history - there have been repeated cases of American presidents being wounded and killed.

Explosives were found in the car of the suspect in the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump. This was reported on July 14 by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.
Law enforcement agencies reported that the alleged criminal parked his car near the location of the rally.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, an assassination attempt on Trump was made on July 13 in the city of Butler, Pennsylvania. The shooting occurred at the beginning of the US presidential candidate's speech at a rally of supporters. The former American leader interrupted his speech and hid behind the podium, after which he was moved to a safe place.
Trump later said he had been shot in the ear, which he said had caused him to lose a lot of blood.
The shooting left one spectator dead and two others seriously injured, including the nephew of Texas Representative Ronnie Jackson, Trump's former doctor. He was shot in the neck.
The suspect in the shooting was eliminated, an AR-type rifle was found at the scene. The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed the version of the assassination attempt on the former head of the White House. The suspect was identified. He was 20-year-old Pennsylvania resident Thomas Matthew Crooks. Before the attack, he recorded a video in his car in which he said that he hated Republicans and Trump.
Investigators are leaning toward the idea that the suspect in the assassination attempt on the former US president acted alone. At the same time, Pennsylvania State Police spokesman George Bivens also said that police are looking for other possible suspects.
Online tabloid TMZ published a video of the alleged gunman. The footage shows the moment the attacker opened fire. A young man with long hair, wearing a gray shirt and pants, is seen lying on his stomach with a rifle on the roof of a building, aiming at the former president.
One of the eyewitnesses to the assassination attempt said that the police officers present at Trump's campaign rally ignored information about a shooter at the event. According to him, he noticed a suspicious man with a gun before the assassination attempt on the former head of the White House and decided to tell the police about it, but they did not react to his words.
[RT] The New York Times has published a photo appearing to show a bullet flying past Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... ’s head, at the moment he was targeted by a gunman at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The image was captured by veteran NYT photographer Doug Mills at the campaign event in the city of Butler, where the Republican presidential hopeful was giving a speech in the run-up to the November 5 election.
Several shots were fired, killing one spectator and severely injuring two more. Trump was whisked off stage by Secret Service agents, and later moved to a “safe” place.” Security officials later reported that the 20-year-old suspected shooter, who had reportedly fired from a nearby rooftop, was shot and killed.
Mills’ photo shows what appears to be a bullet streaking through the air to the right of Trump’s head. The photographer, who has been taking pictures of US presidents for more than four decades, described his experience to colleagues at the NYT.
Mills said the event started out as a “very standard, typical rally,” with him and several other photographers standing “in what is called the buffer area just a couple feet from the former president.”
“All of a sudden, there was what I thought were three or four loud pops. At first I thought it was a car. The last thing I thought was it was a gun,” Mills recalled.
He continued to take pictures, but soon could not see the former president as Trump was surrounded by Secret Service agents from all sides, with counter-snipers appearing on the stage.
Despite looking defiant and seemingly unfazed in his photo with a raised fist high, Trump appeared “very, very shocked” the moment after, according to Mills I'm guessing Mills has never been shot at himself, much less taken a round through his ear.
The photographer told the paper he had “never been in a more horrific scene” during his decades-long career.
Retired FBI special agent Michael Harrigan, who currently works as a consultant in the firearms industry, confirmed to the newspaper that Mills’ photo most likely captured the “bullet’s path through the air.”
While technically possible with the camera used by Mills, “catching a bullet on a side trajectory as seen in that photo would be a one in a million shot… even if one knew the bullet was coming,” the former FBI agent noted.

The social media political activist had walked free earlier today following months of incarceration, but was taken into custody by Islamabad police soon after.
It may be noted that Javaid's release has been blocked multiple times as she had been released from a jail in Gujranwala on Saturday as well but the FIA handcuffed her again minutes after her release.

[NYPOST] Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... said Sunday that Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... cease-fire talks continue and the group’s military commander is in good health, a day after the Israeli military targeted Mohammed Deif with a massive Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... that local health officials said killed at least 90 people, including children.
Deif’s condition remained unclear after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday night "there still isn’t absolute certainty" he was killed. Hamas representatives gave no evidence to back up their assertion about the health of a chief architect of the Oct. 7 attack that sparked the war.
The Israeli military announced Sunday that Rafa Salama, a Hamas commander it described as one of Deif’s closest associates, was killed in Saturday’s strike. Salama commanded Hamas’ Khan Younis brigade. The statement gave no update on Deif, who has long topped Israel’s most-wanted list and has been in hiding for years.
Hamas rejected the idea that mediated cease-fire discussions had been suspended after the strike. Spokesperson Jihad Taha said "there is no doubt that the horrific massacres will impact any efforts in the negotiations" but added that "efforts and endeavors of the mediators remain ongoing."

with today's tech, Hamas could photoshop a picture of Deif with today's newspaper and it would be indistinguishable from a real one.

[Regnum] The MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle of the so-called international coalition led by the United States made a dangerous approach to a Su-35 multirole fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the skies over Syria. This was reported by the deputy head of the Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides (CROS) in the Arab Republic, Oleg Ignasyuk.
“In the area of the settlement of Es-Sukhna in the province of Homs, there was once again a dangerous approach of an MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle of the “coalition” with a Su-35 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which was carrying out a planned flight in the airspace of Syria,” Ignasyuk said during a briefing on July 14.
He stressed that the collision was avoided thanks to the actions of the Russian pilot, who took the necessary measures in a timely manner.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, the Center for Strategic and Inter-Aircraft Monitoring recorded eight cases of violations of the rules for the use of Syrian airspace by coalition aircraft, including a pair of F-15 fighters and a pair of Rafale fighters.
Those may well be Israeli planes going after weapons shipments from Iran.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, a similar incident occurred on July 12, when an American drone came dangerously close to a Russian Su-35 in the As-Sukhna area of the Homs province. The fighter pilot managed to prevent a collision. Before this, the deputy head of the Center for Strategic and Inter-Aircraft Defense in Syria, Yuri Popov, reported a dangerous approach of an An-30 of the Russian Aerospace Forces to a Typhoon fighter of the "coalition".
On July 10, the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out high-precision strikes on targets of illegal armed groups in the Syrian province of Idlib, including a militant training camp and a workshop for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the strikes, 15 militants were eliminated and another 20 were wounded.
