Nikki Haley's Super Tuesday Spin Is Beyond Ridiculous
[Townhall] Nikki Haley is going to get obliterated by Donald Trump. The former South Carolina governor knows this, along with all her supporters—all four of them. It’s now about lowering expectations, which the Haley camp has sunk to ridiculous depths to spin this dumpster fire of the campaign. No one expects much on Super Tuesday. The Haley campaign has reached a point where these new media lines from her communications staff do more to the case that she should drop out of this now-embarrassing spectacle.

It’s something Ms. Haley should have done after New Hampshire. Buoyed by liberal donors, she continued in this self-destructive crusade to beat Trump. Now, there’s no more liberal money filling the coffers because everyone but this woman knows she’s politically dead. So, what’s the new line in the sand: they want a competitive showing (via NBC News):

Nikki Haley, who has yet to win a Republican nominating contest this year, isn’t predicting any victories on Super Tuesday. Rather, she’s seeking to dial back expectations, telling me that her goal heading into March 5 — the biggest primary day on the 2024 calendar — is a "competitive showing" against front-runner Donald Trump.

"We’re looking at it as we’re hoping for a good, competitive showing," Haley said Thursday in the first of a two-part interview with the former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina governor.

[...]

She said that all of Trump’s legal challenges should be "dealt with" before November: "We need to know what’s going to happen before it — before the presidency happens. Because after that, should he become president, I don’t think any of it’s going to get heard."

She said that Trump shouldn’t be able to claim presidential immunity: "I don’t think that a president should be immune from anything. I think that a president has to live under laws, too. And he’s asking for things that no other president’s ever asked for. So I hope the Supreme Court rules quickly."

She said that she doesn’t know whether Trump would follow the Constitution if elected president again: "I don’t know. I mean, you always want to think someone will, but I don’t know."

And she said that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell should be commended for stepping down from his leadership position at the end of the year: "I wish that our presidential candidates would do the same thing. ... The fact that we have two candidates in their 80s blows my mind."

Is this where everyone can see that Haley can no longer spin these humiliating defeats anymore and that she’s looking plain absurd right now? There won’t be any competitive showings, as Trump will probably clean up next Tuesday by double-digit margins.

When you can’t lower expectations to blunt an impending loss, it’s time to call it quits. Also, these remarks about McConnell are fitting since she should also step down from her 2024 bid that never got off the ground. The Trump obsession has her sounding more like a Democrat than someone who wants to defeat Joe Biden. That’s been the case for a while now, but even that can’t be hidden.

Take a hint, lady: GOP voters don’t want you.

I still love that debate incident where Vivek asked Haley if she could name the areas in Ukraine she thinks are soooooo important.

America First Legal sues FEC to force action on Hunter Biden laptop deniers during 2020 campaign
*Snicker* Alinsky ‘em good, guys.
[FoxNews] AFL Legal claims the 51 former intelligence officials gave Biden an in-kind campaign contribution by calling the Hunter Biden laptop 'disinformation'.

After the Federal Election Commission declined to act against Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign for the laptop-denying statement by 51 former intelligence officials, a conservative watchdog group is trying to force action.

America First Legal sued the FEC in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to force the agency that polices campaign donations and spending to act.

"The FEC decided we’re not going to act on this. So, what the district court will do, our hope, is that it will order the FEC to investigate and take this seriously," Daniel Epstein, vice president of America First Legal, told Fox News Digital.

In October, the group filed an FEC complaint against the Biden for President campaign from 2020, the Biden Victory Fund, the Biden Action Fund and the Democratic National Committee for failing to report indirect contributions from the later-debunked statement by the 51 officials released on October 19, 2020, just weeks before the November 8 election, and just days before a presidential debate.

The statement claimed without evidence that the Hunter Biden laptop was likely part of a "Russian disinformation" campaign.

If the FEC doesn’t act, it is "effectively encouraging disinformation to the public that may influence the election," Epstein continued.

An FEC spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the agency doesn’t comment on litigation. Neither the 2024 Biden presidential campaign nor the DNC responded to inquiries for this story.

The FEC has 60 days to respond to the lawsuit. Epstein anticipates the agency will file a motion to remand the matter back to the FEC for investigation.

In March 2023, former Obama administration CIA Deputy and Acting Director Michael Morrell testified to the House Judiciary and House Intelligence Committees that on October 17, 2020, then-Biden campaign staffer Antony Blinken, now the secretary of state, contacted him to discuss drafting a statement to attack the Hunter Biden laptop story first reported by the New York Post.  Morrell circulated the statement among other anti-Trump former intelligence officials. The 51 former officials who signed on included Leon Panetta, John Brennan and James Clapper from the Barack Obama administration, as well as Michael Hayden from the George W. Bush administration — all vocal critics of Trump.

Eventually, both the New York Times and Washington Post verified the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop.

"Because Morrell, Brennan, Clapper, and the other signatories were supposedly ‘nonpartisan’ national security and intelligence experts, their public statement was a campaign contribution of substantial value to the respondents, who solicited the ‘Letter of 51’ from them for the express purpose of influencing the 2020 presidential election," the AFL lawsuit says. "Yet, the respondents failed to report the contribution and to identify the individuals who made it."

Sen. Lisa Murkowski Endorses Nikki Haley
[Breitbart] Alaskan Snowblower shows RINO/Never Trump.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK),
…it seems she had not gone off in the woods and been killed by a bear — how odd!
one of the most moderate Republicans in the United Sates Senate, is endorsing former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) for president, as Haley continues with her quixotic campaign against former President Donald Trump.

Murkowski’s endorsement came in a press release on Friday from Haley’s team, in which the senator announced, “I’m proud to endorse Gov. Nikki Haley.”

“America needs someone with the right values, vigor, and judgment to serve as our next President—and in this race, there is no one better than her,” Murkowski added. “Nikki will be a strong leader and uphold the ideals of the Republican Party while serving as a President for all Americans.”

Haley thanked Murkowski – who voted for Trump’s impeachment in 2021 – for her support. This marks Haley’s first endorsement from a United States senator, while Trump closes in on two dozen, as FiveThirtyEight notes.

“I’m grateful to Sen. Murkowski for her support and leadership,” Haley said. “Sen. Murkowski represents the best of Alaska—she is a trailblazer and a strong, independent voice who doesn’t bow down to the powers that be in Washington.”

“As president, I will fight to make Alaskans—and all Americans—proud by restoring fiscal sanity, energy dominance, and limited government,” she added.

The establishment endorsement for Haley comes as Trump is obliterating her in the delegate count, with a 110-20 lead out of 142 delegates that have been allocated to this point, as the New York Times notes.

Haley only has 11 more delegates than Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump after the Iowa Caucuses. This is despite her participating in several more contests – in which delegates were at stake for her – than he did.

Most recently, Trump thumped Haley in the Michigan primary, winning by some 40 points. That followed an embarrassing loss for Haley in her home state of South Carolina, where Trump enjoyed a 20-point victory in the primary.

#9  I don't think there is any doubt Haley is still in the "race" in case Trump in unable to run for President.

"Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)"
--- Thanks again to the RNC (despite the rigged system in AK)

"Donald Trump won the Republican caucuses on Saturday in Michigan, Missouri, and Idaho. Overall, Trump won with nearly 98 percent support against Haley." (from another Website)

--- Murkowski is as delusional as they come; or, he's setting herself up for a position in the Haley Administration (perish the thought).

#12  Nikki still loses if Trump decides he wants to golf in peace. It would then go to a contested convention. All the Delaware’s are Trump delegates. Nikki would be nominated. Delegates would be under tremendous pressure from the establishment to approve her nomination, but all their neighbors would be texted them to have our backs. Enough would nix the idea. The party would then try some other clowns, but in the end it would be Vivek.
