-Great Cultural Revolution
The rise of barbaric progressivism
[BenjaminKerstein] Shortly before he died in the late 1930s, Sigmund Freud, by then a refugee from Nazism, wrote, "We live in very remarkable times. We find with astonishment that progress has concluded an alliance with barbarism." He was referring to the rise of fascism and communism, and their combination of the most modern forms of science, technology, economic theory, and even aesthetics with the most horrific and savage forms of violence and sadism.

Freud was a man of the Enlightenment—perhaps the last man of the Enlightenment—and equated modernity with progress and civilization. Thus, to witness the degradation of modernity as it comingled with the kind of animalistic brutality that he saw as belonging to earlier and less enlightened stages of human history was shocking to him, as it was to many.

...Today, the most fervent believers in the power of progress in the United States are the members and supporters of the eponymous progressive movement. It is a bit difficult to fully define this movement, as it is easily confused with other movements of the left like socialism, communism, and even anarchism. It is possible, however, to say that its view of progress is the polar opposite of Freud’s. By and large, it holds that 1) Humanity can be made better and even perfected. 2) The history of humanity is the history of inexorable progress toward that perfection. 3) It is the duty of the individual and society to be on "the right side" of that history—that is, on the side of progress. 4) Humanity’s ultimate state of perfection will take the form of a blessed society in which suffering, poverty, and oppression have been overcome. 5) Anything that opposes or retards progress is a form of metaphysical evil.

All of these sound like fairly "civilized" goals. Moreover, the movement itself has always been one of the elite upper-middle class and its intelligentsia, meaning that, by all rights, progressives ought to be the most "civilized" people in the world. Yet large factions of today’s progressive movement are showing clear signs that Freud was quite correct in his diagnosis of progress and its discontents.

...The progressives’ turn to violence first appeared in the one institution over which progressivism exercises near-absolute rule—academia. Recent years have seen the emergence of a kind of progressive dictatorship of the professoriate, a totalitarian regime that denies its subjects the right not only to believe but even to hear ideas that might cast doubt on progressivism’s rectitude. For some time, this was accomplished by administrative corruption and quiet censorship. Today, however, it is largely accomplished by mob violence. The professoriate’s shock troops shout down and assault speakers; disrupt events; attack opposing activists; engage in intimidation, harassment, and psychological abuse; and aggressively "deplatform" anyone with whom they disagree. Thus, while freedom of thought and speech are not outright forbidden in the academy, they have become impossible to exercise, much as Islamic religious laws against depictions of Muhammad have been imposed on Western societies through the threat of terrorism.
There is an interesting point that most outside Academia don't grasp. There is an inverse proportionality between an academic's professional competence as scholar or scientist in their field of research and their level of political activism.
...Particularly disturbing is that a large number of progressives—perhaps a majority—have adopted two of the most egregious ideologies they purport to oppose: antisemitism and racism. It has often been said that all totalitarian ideologies eventually end in the Elders of Zion, and the examples of Hitler and Stalin appear to bear this out. Indeed, as it has become more totalitarian, progressivism has also become more antisemitic. It tends to couch this antisemitism in the language of anti-Zionism and criticism of Israel, but its rhetoric is so vitriolic and hateful, its violence against Jews and Zionists so intense, and its support for the most horrendous antisemitic atrocities so open and palpable, that no other conclusions can be drawn.
If the fact that "African-Americans" are less successful than whites (let alone these @$%&*#$ asians) proves structural racism, then the fact that Jews are sucessful proves that "that the Jews are a corrupt, evil, and omnipotent plutocracy."
...This antisemitism is intimately connected to the issue of race. It is, in fact, difficult to overstate the extent to which progressivism is now defined by racial politics and the idea of racial hierarchy. In effect, progressivism sees the world as a pyramid with Jews and "white people" at the top, and everyone else in a descending progression downward, with people of color and Palestinians at the bottom. Unlike in the past, however, today’s progressivism no longer wants to do away with this hierarchy, it simply wants to reverse it. It adopts the admonition of the Gospel of Matthew that "the last shall be first, and the first last."

...All of these pathologies seem to have coalesced around what critics call the "Red-Green Alliance," a term that refers to a political axis composed of progressives and Islamic radicals. This seemingly bizarre phenomenon, which the philosopher John Gray calls "Islamo-Leninism," has been developing for a long time, but it emerged in full during the ugly mob events that followed the October 7, 2023 massacre committed in southern Israel by the terrorist group Hamas. In a well-coordinated and well-funded attempt to prevent Israeli retaliation, celebrate the massacre, and express solidarity with the genocidal organization, thousands took to the streets of major cities in the US and Europe shouting antisemitic slogans and calling for Israel’s destruction. These mobs were composed almost entirely of progressive activists and radical Muslims. The same was true of those who harassed, intimidated, and physically attacked Jewish students in the streets and on college campuses. Anyone wearing recognizably Jewish clothing and symbols, or was simply known to be Jewish, became a target. In one case, a Muslim academic beat a Jewish man to death with a megaphone. The wave of racism and violence so shocked the American Jewish community that a protest march held in Washington, DC drew 300,000 people.

The sight of radical feminists marching side by side with those to whom patriarchy is a sacrament, LGBT people standing shoulder to shoulder with those who would gladly murder them in another context, socialists expressing solidarity with advocates of genocidal theocracy, and alleged human rights activists embracing supporters of religious apartheid and terrorism was incomprehensible to many, but it was not unprecedented. In the 1960s, for example, the radical left strongly supported Algeria’s terrorist FLN, which was influenced by political Islam to a far greater degree than many then and now have been prepared to acknowledge. In the 1979 Iranian revolution, leftists of all stripes helped Islamic radicals overthrow the Shah, only to have the theocrats slaughter them as soon as they had the power to do so. After 9/11, leftist sympathy for Osama bin Laden was not universal, but it was considerable and sparked a notable backlash. Today, progressives stand with, work with, and actively defend Islamic radicals in almost all aspects of life, especially political activism and most of all in anti-Israel incitement and violence.
Because these people are not really progressives - they're Nihilists. Secretly knowing themselves to be inferior, they want to become superior by exterminating anyone who's better than they are.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
The split has not gone away. How the Russian underground of Dnepropetrovsk lives
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Alexey Vasiliev

[REGNUM] Every day, Telegram channels and TikToks are filled with videos of conflicts between the Ukrainian population, who do not want to die for the interests of Zelensky, and the TTS officers, who catch local residents in the spirit of the traditions of the Ludolov era of the Ruins, to be sent to the collapsing front. And the population is increasingly treating the current Zelensky regime as occupiers.

Conflicts with employees of territorial recruitment centers ( TCC is an analogue of the military registration and enlistment office. - Ed. ) began to move from verbal form to forceful opposition.

On January 24, in the area of the Pchelkino station (between Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka, the territory of the DPR, occupied by Ukraine in 2014. - Ed.) four TTS workers from Kirovograd were found with knife wounds, fractures and multiple hematomas (one had a fractured skull ). On the same day they were evacuated to Dnepropetrovsk. During surgical operations at the hospital named after. Mechnikov, two died.

This information, published by one of the local pro-Russian telegram channels, as a native of the glorious city of Yekaterinoslav (now better known as Dnepropetrovsk and shamefully cut off by the Ukrainian authorities to the short “Dnepr”), has every reason to trust.

And more and more such information is coming in.

Residents of Dnepropetrovsk are increasingly coming into contact with the Russian army, offering their help. The Russian underground transmits intelligence information about the location of enemy military installations for precision strikes and confirmation of targets. Clandestine networks collect important data about the actions of the Ukrainian occupation forces, their plans and resources.

Including sources among the Russian underground in Dnepropetrovsk indirectly confirmed the successful strike of the Russian Armed Forces on the temporary deployment point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Selidovo, where, according to various estimates, at least several hundred people were based. It is reported that about 50 bodies and fragments of corpses of Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel were received from Selidovo to the Dnieper morgue of the 4th Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital. All with wounds consistent with cluster munitions. It should be borne in mind that this is only one of the morgues where the remains were taken.

On February 6, in Dnepropetrovsk, underground actions disrupted the visit of the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, when information about the start of his voyage and its route appeared in the public space. His security had to urgently cancel Borrell’s visit, replacing him with a minor official, with whom he then had to make a photo report.

JOSEP BORRELL'S VISIT TO UKRAINE
Typically, visits by such “tourists” were reported after the fact, when they left the territory. Often such excursions for VIPs were accompanied by the launch of a fake air raid raid. But now, thanks to the Russian underground, the carefully agreed upon secret procedure for the trip was revealed. Even during the visit, not only the Russian special services, but also the Russian media were already informed about it. Because of fear of partisans, security management has to urgently change routes, vehicles, and programs in order to minimize risks for high-ranking officials. Although until recently they moved around Ukraine without problems.

Active radicalization among the population not only towards TCC employees, but also towards the Kyiv authorities is not developing out of nowhere.

Recently, a resonant and very significant incident occurred in Dnepropetrovsk.

Former employees of the special unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Berkut” refused to join the ranks of the Ukrainian assault brigade “Lyut”. A video has circulated on the Internet in which the deputy head of the main department of the national police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Vladimir Bogonis, together with police major Andrei Selko, demand that former Berkut members join the assault brigade, citing an allegedly corresponding order from the already former commander-in-chief Valery Zaluzhny, as well as fictitious articles in the Constitution.

Police special forces soldiers refused to go into the trenches; at most they are ready to serve at checkpoints. And here the argument attracts attention, which very accurately shows that the split that struck Ukrainian society 10 years ago has not disappeared anywhere and in certain circumstances immediately makes itself felt.

During the skirmish, the fighters recalled that during the Maidan, in 2014, it was the police and Berkut employees who became victims of the coup d’etat, after which they were accused of crimes. A replica that would seem impossible in modern Ukrainian realities. But it sounded!

The conflict ended with the Berkut members refusing to put any signatures and become “meat”, advising their commanders to go to the front in person. Later it became known that the special police regiment, consisting of former Berkut fighters, was disbanded for refusing to enroll in the Lyut brigade.

It is also natural that the entire conversation was conducted in the purest Russian language. What else should the citizens of Ekaterinoslav speak? Nothing has changed here either in two and a half centuries since the founding of the city, or in the decade since the author of these lines was forced to leave it.

The Ukrainian authorities are carefully trying to hush up such facts, but every day it becomes more and more difficult to hide them, and information about the riots is increasingly penetrating the media space.

The mentioned episodes show the tension in society and the emotional state of citizens. And this quickly turns into hostility towards the current authorities in Kyiv. And this, in turn, leads to the growth of an underground network, the emergence of people who are ready to fight the Ukrainian authorities at the risk of their lives.

And an analogy with similar conditions during the Great Patriotic War comes to mind. When policemen and other henchmen of the Nazis fell into the hands of the population, not everyone was “lucky” to remain alive before the trial. As, for example, the majority of the Odessa underground pronounced its verdict on the traitors of its people. There is a possibility that the current TTS ludolovs, like other representatives of the Nazi regime, will face a similar fate if they fall into the hands of the people in the process of liberating the territories.

Moreover, there will be few forces capable of preventing people from showing civic consciousness in the first days after liberation...

Government Corruption
Did Our Intelligence Agencies Suggest The Russia Hoax To Hillary Clinton's Campaign?
[Federalist] Tuesday’s explosive news — that long before the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane on July 31, 2016, the U.S. intelligence community had asked foreign intel agencies to surveil 26 people connected to Donald Trump — raises the question of whether our intelligence community colluded with the Clinton campaign in these efforts. After all, it was then-Biden campaign adviser and now-Secretary of State Antony Blinken who "set in motion the events that led to" 51 former intel officials issuing the public statement that falsely framed the Hunter Biden’s laptop story as Russian disinformation.

If a Biden campaign adviser conspired with some of the biggest names in the intelligence community a month before the 2020 election to bury the damaging scandal, it is no stretch to think the Hillary Clinton campaign might have sought an assist from the same folks to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

We’ve also long known the Clinton campaign funded the Steele dossier, the primary evidence used by the FBI to obtain four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act wiretap orders against a Trump campaign associate. The Clinton campaign’s efforts to peddle the Russia-collusion hoax to the FBI and the media are likewise well-established.

But did the Clinton campaign’s plot to portray Trump as a Russian asset also involve the intelligence community, and if so, when did those efforts start?

Open-source material suggests the Clinton campaign’s efforts to push the Russia angle against Trump began in June 2016, when the Democrat law firm Perkins Coie contracted with Fusion GPS, which in turn retained Christopher Steele to investigate Trump’s connections to Russia. While there are several connections between the Clinton campaign and members of the intelligence community beginning in July, there is a dearth of evidence suggesting coordination between the two before then.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Rafah offensive: Netanyahu takes Biden hostage
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kirill Semenov

[REGNUM] On Saturday evening, at his weekly press conference, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans for an offensive on Rafah, the southernmost area of the Gaza Strip, which remained the last refuge for 1.5 million Palestinians. This is how Netanyahu responded to international criticism. Israel is ready to move on to an even more bloody stage of the confrontation, ignoring the calls of not only the international community, but also its closest allies.

ISRAEL REJECTS COMPROMISE
Netanyahu said those who opposed the Rafah offensive were effectively calling for his country to "lose the war" against Hamas. The head of the cabinet also indicated that troops would enter Rafah as part of the “Israeli hunt” for Hamas leaders, regardless of whether an agreement is reached on the release of the hostages or not.

“Even if we achieve this, we will enter Rafah,” he said.

Netanyahu also said that although he sent a delegation to ceasefire talks in Cairo last week at the request of US President Joe Biden, he saw no point in sending it again.

Thus, the diplomatic mediation efforts of Egypt, Qatar and the United States again did not lead to any results.

Previously, Netanyahu quickly rejected the last of the already agreed upon draft ceasefire in Gaza, drawn up with great effort by CIA Director William Burns, Mossad chief David Barney and their Egyptian and Qatari counterparts at a meeting in Paris on February 1, and also sharply criticized the official Hamas response to it document.

Last Sunday, Qatari officials acknowledged that indirect talks in Cairo between Israel and Hamas, which resumed last week through the mediation of Egypt, Qatar and the United States, had also reached an impasse.

Earlier, CIA Director Burns arrived in Cairo to negotiate a hostage release agreement that would include a temporary ceasefire and a better plan for delivering aid to Gaza. Barney, director of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, also headed to the Egyptian capital.

The CIA chief's trip to Cairo coincided with the Biden administration's growing frustration with Israel's approach to the war against Hamas, as Secretary of State Antony Blinken's fifth trip to the Middle East a week earlier also failed to produce any progress in Tel Aviv's position.

USA HELD HOSTAGE BY ISRAEL
The United States, Israel's most important ally, continues to provide critical military support and diplomatic cover for Israeli military operations.

In particular, Washington has already announced that it will block Algeria’s initiative in the UN Security Council, calling for a stop to hostilities in Gaza. However, it can be said that Washington has found itself virtually hostage to Tel Aviv and is forced to continue supporting it, despite its rejection of what the Netanyahu regime is doing in Gaza.

Refusal to support Israel would mean the loss of a political future for any American politician.
If “Washington” is so opposed to the general opinion of the voters that it feels constrained to act against its preferences, perhaps “Washington” should get out of the politics biz.
Although Israel has essentially found itself highly dependent on American military and financial support in this conflict, the leverage that the United States can or is willing to exert over the Israeli government is close to zero.
America is not the only country willing to sell Israel military supplies, Mr. Semenov.
Netanyahu has long been accustomed to openly challenging US presidents, especially Democratic ones, and is aware that the American political system does not allow any negative consequences for Israel.
That’s certainly one perspective.
However, relations between Joe Biden and Netanyahu have reached their lowest point due to the colossal and growing death toll in the Gaza Strip,
...oh no, my dear — President Biden has been sure he knew better than the Israelis how to run their country since he was a brand new senator and Golda Meir had just won the Yom Kippur War...
which Washington can no longer turn a blind eye to and is making efforts to persuade the Israeli leadership to de-escalate.
The fact that Hamas has promised that a hudna will lead to as many repeats of October 7th as necessary for Hamas to conquer Israel from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea is of no interest to “Washington” as currently constituted
The leaders of the two countries, Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Biden, as American analysts note, also have opposing domestic political interests: Netanyahu knows that “the day” after the end of this protracted war he will be removed from office or perhaps even end up in prison;
Bibi knows no such thing. There are those who would like to help make that happen, but they are the same people who have been protesting to drive him from office since 2015 and earlier.
Biden knows that the longer this war drags on and spreads, the more it will weigh against him in the November election.

This also applies to the White House’s concerns about a renewed confrontation with Iran, which Washington is trying in every possible way to avoid.

In addition, according to sources in the American publication The Washington Post, the US president, a “ staunch supporter of Israel ”
...make that “supporter” and I can go along with the claim...
who has known Netanyahu for more than 40 years, has so far been reluctant to make public his personal disappointments with his activities. But he, too, is gradually beginning to lean toward public criticism as Netanyahu continues to “infuriate” Biden officials with “public humiliations” and rapid rejection of basic US demands.

RISK OF CLASH WITH IRAN
In this context, the United States opposes all three trajectories that the Netanyahu government is considering as possible steps: a prolonged war in the Gaza Strip, an escalation in the West Bank, and a large-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah.

The latter trajectory is of particular concern to the White House.

The point may be that if the Americans manage to influence the Israelis to abandon a further campaign to destroy Gaza and its inhabitants, then there is a risk that Tel Aviv, immediately after curtailing the operation in the south, will begin a military campaign against Hezbollah. in the north.

For Netanyahu, this will be a solution because it will prolong his political future. At the same time, the consequences of such a military operation could significantly exceed all the losses and costs that Israel suffered in Gaza, and even lead to a major war in the Middle East with the participation of the United States and Iran, something that Washington is trying to avoid above all.

Another blow to American initiatives was Israel’s official refusal to talk about declaring a Palestinian state, the creation of which has also been called for by Western capitals, including Washington and London, as a condition for ending the bloodshed.

Last Sunday, Netanyahu decisively rejected Washington's post-war proposal, which could have included the creation of an independent Palestinian state in exchange for normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The Israeli cabinet adopted a declaration on Sunday saying Israel " categorically rejects international decrees on a permanent agreement with the Palestinians" and "will continue to oppose unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state."

END OF CAREER
Thus, Netanyahu is not looking for an agreement that could end the war. He is determined to continue the war as the only means of ensuring his political survival.
Bull. Shit.
At the same time, the Israeli prime minister is also leading a domestic political campaign against those forces in Israeli society who want to achieve a quick agreement on the release of hostages or a more comprehensive peace plan, as proposed by the American administration.

According to all public opinion polls, Netanyahu currently has one of the lowest ratings of any Israeli politician ever in power.

The events of October 7, for which most Israelis tend to blame Netanyahu personally, leave him with nothing but his most loyal base of supporters, that is, about 25% of the Israeli electorate, consisting mainly of religious radicals and settlers with extremist views.

Therefore, if there were no special conditions and a state of emergency, Netanyahu’s political life would already be over.

It is kept afloat by a 64-member ruling coalition consisting of “ the most extreme right-wing fanatics, messianic settlers and fringe figures,” as they are characterized in the opposition Israeli expert community.
The opposition Israeli expert community being the same kinds of people as characterize American PTA members as far right, white supremacist terrorists.
The top of this pyramid of power is the so-called war cabinet, which makes all decisions about plans for a military campaign.

Let us recall that the so-called wartime cabinet consists of Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and the leader of the Ha-Mahane Ha-Mamlakhti faction (former Chief of the IDF General Staff) Benny Gantz.
O.M.G.!!! He has a retired general in his war cabinet!!
There are also two observers in the cabinet, Gadi Eizenkot and Ron Dermer.

In the event of a cessation of hostilities and the dissolution of the military cabinet, Netanyahu faces not only exclusion from any future elections, but also the very real possibility of a guilty verdict in his criminal trial, which consists of several cases.
Trials of the same hatefulness and lack of legal rigour as the trials against President Trump going on just now,
Added to this will be investigations into his role in the events of October 7, and even, probably, unacceptable actions to exterminate the civilian population in Gaza.

THE RATE OF THE HOUTHIS
Israel's plans to launch an offensive in Rafah are not only drawing harsh criticism from its neighbors such as Egypt, but could also have serious consequences for the region.
Egypt is criticizing, but they’ve also dug in a space for a walled refugee camp to hold those fleeing Rafah while Israel hunts there for jihadis. Rhetoric and actions frequently mismatch when Egypt is involved.
It cannot be ruled out that the new Israeli operation will provoke the Iran-linked “Axis of Resistance” to resume active actions not only against Israel, but also against the United States.
They’re already actively acting against Israel. That they might act actively against America depends on the choices the Biden administration makes.
At the moment, there is a certain de-escalation between pro-Iranian groups in Syria and Iraq and American forces in these same countries.
That’s because they don’t want America to go after them seriously.
It occurred after the US Air Force launched strikes on the bases of pro-Iranian groups, which, however, actually did not suffer losses, since they were, in fact, warned in advance by the Americans themselves.
Yeaaah... that was suggestive.
In response, pro-Iranian formations reduced their activity, since Tehran itself, like Washington, is not interested in a new round of confrontation.

However, the current de-escalation may be disrupted by Israeli actions in Rafah, which will force pro-Iranian factions to respond to new massacres of civilians in Gaza.

It is obvious that the main targets of such attacks in this case will not be the Israelis, but the American military.

A strike on Israel by Hezbollah and, possibly, pro-Iranian groups from Syria will only become a reality if Hamas in Gaza is on the verge of complete destruction.

Despite the fact that in each of his statements Netanyahu names an increasing number of destroyed Hamas battalions, many facts indicate that this Palestinian resistance group retains its combat potential and is far from the critical situation that the Israeli leadership attributes to it.

In the meantime, the main role of the confrontation with Israel’s allies in the Middle East has been assumed by the Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement, who, despite the ongoing US strikes on military targets in Yemen, retain their military capabilities and demonstrate new weapons, such as underwater drones. kamikaze.

In addition, Houthi attacks are becoming increasingly destructive.

In particular, Houthi spokesman Yahya Saria said that the group attacked the Rubymar ship in the Gulf of Aden, and now it is in danger of sinking. Earlier, the Associated Press, citing the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO), reported that the Houthis fired at a Belize-flagged ship sailing through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which connects the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as a result of which the crew was forced to abandon the ship.

In this context, it is important to clarify that the Houthis are a completely independent actor in the Middle East, and their contacts with Iran are of a “notifying” and not “permissive” nature.
Prove it, Mr. Semenov. From where I sit, the Houthis look like a wholly owned subsidiary of Mad Mullahs, Incorporated.
That is, Ansar Allah informs Tehran about its operations, but does not ask its permission. Washington is also aware of this. Therefore, the attacks of the Houthis, unlike the actions of, for example, the Islamic Resistance of Iraq, cannot lead to a clash between the United States and Iran.
It won’t anyway. Because it is the job of the catspaws to act upon Iranian commands, not to make demands of their own.

#1  Refusal to support Israel would mean the loss of a political future for any American politician.

#5  Big problem for the ruling class when the voting class supports the other side in a major election year in which the rulers are going all in for power. Given that our ruling class interfered in the Israeli elections, turn around is fair play.

#6  My Con-Fi report from peoples:

half dozen minor effects, like Old Salty's second sentence.

One serious side effect.

One heart failure of an early 40s male healthy lifestyle so co-mords. Vocation required The Jab, sudden heart failure until autopsy, when switched to Covid - strange. He wasn't sick as far as anyone could tell.

One Turbo-Cancer, early 40s.

And one who was absolutely terrified of the Covid because co-morbids and doctor said take it. Doctor changed mind, pulled aside and whispered, "Don't take any more vax shots."

*this is not data, just local observation

**youngster made a joke about how Americans will die of cancer as a rule. That's an older trope, but also consider influencer grooming, if you will.

***This area is what would be called by the Kansas Government as 'non-compliant' overall for getting the jab, so not a good data set anyways for Jab side effects.
